I am being quite successful at doing nothing all week. Laurel comes with the boys later on this afternoon. She is visiting with a HS friend, then eating with us, bathing the boys and then heading home.
Tomorrow I start taking the decorations down.
Norma You missed breakfast this morning. We had fried eggs, bacon, grits, and a side of waffles with real maple syrup. Tomorrow no homemade bread and sausage....I splurged today! Sorry!
Jo.... Sorry you are under the weather. I had something with a bad cough just before Christmas. I did not feel bad, but had a cough and sometimes I had coughing fits! Poor Michael in NY. Yes, I was doing it there! Anyway, get well quick!!

OH HAPPY DAY!! My uncle can wiggle 4 toes on his left foot, all on his own. Doctors say that is a very good sign!!
I put up one picture, hope I find a better one. We got closer later in the day.

Deb, that is wonderful news, prayers continue:)..just back form a wonderful dinner with son, dil and M&M girls....of course the girls go to bed pretty early, 6:30 for Molly and 7:30 for Maggie...they take after their Dad early to bed and early to rise...
During breeding season the loon would be black and white, right now the colors are drab, brown, black and a dirty white. Their normal habitat would be Alaska and western Canada, very rarely on the West Coast. also very rarely south of Canada. Today there were people from Minneapolis, Sioux City, IA, Sioux Falls, Pierre, Rapid City that came to see it.

Hedgie - Hopping John is a southern dish...my Mom is originally from Alabama. It is rice and black eyed peas. It has onions and garlic as the main spices...then you can also add ham hocks, bacon, or sausage. I added hot italian sausage and keilbasa to mine. Good luck for New Years!
And when you cook it in chicken broth, it tastes even better!
Going to turn in a little early tonight. I had a great day...felt wonderful. Going to try once again to go to Florida, if all goes well. Probably next Wednesday.

Most of the loons in MN are Common Loons, so I would guess that is what we were watching.
Yes Norma I did watch the rose parade. I like it when they tell what the floats are made from. It is awesome. They said right after this parade they start working on next years. WOW ! Of course hubby's team didn't win.

I lost the still cam, have a picture on the live cam, but can't tell if it is updating. All I have for sound is static.

they are building a brand new state of the are elephant exhibit, so no cams while construction is going on, should be done sometime in 2011

It is fun to see the divers, especially when they get up close.
