Good Morning, Red... We would love those guys at NCTC even more if we had our Live and Moving and Hearing cam. Maybe they will get it up and going for a Christmas present for all of us:)
I "see" you made it over DANA. I missed the view yesteday with the "billfold" and the critters... things sure look better today. I like trees, but this is a turkey and deer cam, not a tree cam ! xo
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---STEVEN---RED--HELEN---MAGPIE---DANA & WANDA--on this FOGGY-- FOGGY am!---Thanks STEVEN for the new thread & CONGRATS to RED!!---our #1 EAGLE DAD---today & every day!!---
MAGPIE!----I think the box on the ground at PA site--might be recording the different TURKEY calls---telling them how many -- TOMS & how many HENS are visiting the site!!----I think turkey season is in in PA!! (just a guess)
Just talked to SHARON, she slept a little better last night.
They are trying to manage the pain
Leaving it up to her, if she wants to go home today, but Thelma is working today, and she is 90 minutes away. So hopefully tomorrow, has to come back up for DR, visit next Thursday. No real food yet, maybe today:)
Norma - I missed seeing it if someone came and retrieved the box...I am trying to behave myself and get some things done....not working too well, is it?
Good morning all. Getting ready for another rough day. But, God is here in this place for sure. Lord, I really wish there was a way to explain that site at the funeral home last night. Riffes typically have big funerals but I have never seen anything like that before. Every single person in Falls Mills and Bluefield must have come through. People waited in line for more than an hour to pay respects to the family, out in the parking lot and down the road, the line was that long. Beautiful, beautiful life.
HELEN---Thanks for the update on SHARON!!---I had her on my mind all night!!--BLESS HER HEART!!!---Won't her Dr. decide when she should go home???----I know how that Ins. stuff works!!---
Whoa, it was nice to see Captain Gene again, but then I went to Wild and Wonderful for the Eagles! Nice photos, much less cumbersome to see them this way than on Yahoo.
SISSY!!---keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers!!----Sounds as if your family is loved & well thought of in your community!!----GOD BLESS!!---SENDING MUCH LOVE----
"BIG MOMMA" just picked up "CC" CUB & has him in her arms!!!---Bet it won't be long until he will try to climb over the board!!---NUTTIN' will hold him down then!!---ho!
Heading out ladies and gents. Gonna be a family day. I am blessed. Will check in with ya'll this evening. Ceil and Mits, enjoy the M&M girls. That is the greatest!! I am looking forward to visiting with family this afternoon. That is always great. Laughter through tears. I saw on a movie, Steel Magnolias, I think, that laughter through tears is one of the greatest emotions. That is so true. Last night we shared so many memories with people we hadn't seen in years and year. THAT is good stuff!!
I'm b-a-c-k!! Yummy breakfast, and now "the job" is completed! Sissy, will be thinking of you today. Laughter through tears is good....isn't it a shame that it takes a sad time to bring folks together? Is the Riffe funeral home in the family? Mits and Ceil, have a great day w/ the M&M's!!! Sharon, get plenty of rest...do hope they feed you some solids!
Good Morning to you all; I just love being here with all of you.I finaly have a link to my 09 photos. I was on here last and told mits how to see them.I have a meeting at school this morning but i will be back later.
Soooo glad you heard me hollering, DEB. It surprised me, I'm out the door to the post office, and thought, oh well let's have a look....
The link is a little difficult and it is hard to get back to the Blog afterwards...might try something else on that when I get back. OUR Cam is looking better by the minute.
I am not sure if you can do this on a PC, but I would think so. Right click on the link and choose open in a new tab. Then the blog stays open and you get the new link open, too.
Good Morning - I read that some of you are out & about this morning. Trees are really bare since the rain yesterday. Need to read previous thread & emails....... I did not see the little black box disappear - wish I had or more so I wish I knew what it really was
My Mason candles are still glowing but I do appreciate reminders. I have concern that no updates on his Caring Bridge since Nov 10. Perhaps Megan will be able to give us an update.
JO!---No one saw the box disappear!!---MARGY & I were giving our opinions, etc.---she checked again & it had been removed!!!----looked like a box that could be recording---or a camera--!
Wow - I see the Osprey is still hanging out at Cape Coral...see my blue link from about an hour ago.. If you right click the link, you might still be able to keep the Blog up - it takes about 30 seconds to open up, then you can save it to favorites if you want...and stay on the Blog forevermor ! xo Nice sight for sore eyes, been awhile since we've seen any of those !
HEY PAULA!!---The movie "MARLEY AND ME" is being released in Dec.--the 25th I think!!----Funniest book I have read in a long time!!--If you haven't read it--(MARLEY is a YELLOW LAB)---
I was reading on the site of the Murraysville PA wood cam. That cam is in the back yard of the Powers family. Was very interesting. I was really trying to get an email to send them Margy's pic and ask about the black box! I don't like unsolved mysteries! lol
Got the Cape Coral site off the Puleston site...guess a lot of you have been watching in years previous. Site says it is the 12the year for the nest and the birds.
My loooong work week-end starts tonight, got to report at 6 pm....so it's back to bed for me.
Norma Try to open this link - it has sound. If you can't hear it check out on the bottom bar of your pc on the right hand side for the megaphone pic. Click on it & see just where the bar is.....
Hi All!! Have done a little lurking, but not much. Have mostly been sitting around with my hands inactive. What a BUMMER! The bruising is starting to go away but my hands still ACHE. I am doing more, but it is surprising what little things I can not do...like take the cap off the gallon of milk. Very frustrating! Friends keep telling me that sprains sometimes take a l-0-n-g time. Lovely! However, I can take the wraps off to shower. Could not do that with casts. I am lucky I did not break anything.
Concerned about Sharon. What kind of surgery did she have? Bless her!
Going to try to do some house cleaning. Jack is doing so much, but looks like I will have to point out that the kitchen sink needs a good scrubbing. ☺
Thanks Jim for the "BUDDY" link. He is one intelligent eagle! Good to see you here Lolly. Don't overdo it with the housework - your wrists will take time & what a great excuse to sit & read!!
Norma - can you at least watch the video on Marley & Me?
Jim, I heard that there are more devastating fires out your way...how awful! Hope you are safe!! My baby & her hubby will be home (Dulles airport) from Hawaii in 2½ hrs. Probably be close to six by the time they get to their house and call mom!!! It's been a long 10 days.
She had said that LAX was the filthiest airport she had ever seen. Much prefers John Wayne...but couldn't get flight routed through it this time. Do you hear that much, Jim?
HI LOLLY!---Yes--have missed you!!---Nothing could be worse than not being able to use your hands!!--I feel so sorry for you!---Does sound as if things are improving!!-You certainly were lucky that you didn't break anything---SHARON had the same surgery that HELEN did-------There has been a death in SISSY family too------They are such a loving family---Please keep them in your prayers!!!----Take care & be careful not to do too much!!-- That's an ORDER!!---ho!---normabyrd--
Shuttle launches this evening at 7:55 pm EDT from Kennedy. If you are in the mid-Atlantic region, watch the southeastern sky...about 8-9 minutes after launch, if skies are clear, you can see it on it's trajectory.
It's dark now in AU, but they have a comment and pic on the Alcoa site on the fact that 'Stan,' the first fledgling (was blown off the nest while practicing...not uncommon), has finally returned to the nest to hang out with his brothers.
Good Afternoon Eagle Buds!! Great pics, Wanda, thx. I've got the pop-up cam on---hope to see someone this PM. Some of the family has arrived in town for Sat. wedding. Stepson & DIL from TN stopped by, but Fubby was gone to BWI to pickup daughter & SIL. They were way late--got fogged in in Atlanta. Got here about an hour ago & daughter is on big 'puter---has to send a budget report to work!!Always something! Big kitty enjoyed sniffing all their luggage & tried to eat ribbon of Xmas present DIL brought. BBL----watching for eagles
Good to see you Loretta - Glad your daughter and her husband made it through the fog! Have a glorious wedding week-end. Hope you see some eagles too.. xo
Loretta, hope the wedding weekend is a grand success! Hopefully, you don't have alot of work to do for it!! I'm sure that grandma can just enjoy more than she could for her own kids, huh???!!!!
Not looking very promising for a look at the shuttle....boo. The only good things about the "winter" atmosphere to me is being able to see the sky w/ all of its glorious offerings, and the demise of most of the bugs!!!
Have to laugh! My neice (sister's daughter) is getting married for the first time next weekend. She turned 40 last May. It is a big wedding, big reception. Her retired father is going into shock! LOL
RED ! Of course you count! You are about as Southern as it gets ! Gave me a chuckle though.....but you are right, I was kinda of referring to Sissy, Sharon and T-Bird...
Now, I guess I am about ready to make like a baby and head out, finally got out of my pajamas ...
Hey all. Sharon is going to Thelma's tonight and I am gonna go get her tomorrow. Thelma lives about 1-1/2 hours away and that will break up the trip for her. They finally got her pain under reasonable control, that is a miracle. She was really suffering this morning.
We had a very bittersweet day. Sharing memories, crying, all that. Tom has gone back to the funeral home now. A good friend of the family died. He was supposed to sing at Doug's funeral today.
We are good, so very blessed. We can survive, as long as we stick together.
Hi Sissy I just signed on again.. Thank you so much for update on Sharon. Sounds like it is all worked out. I know she copes with pain and I pray this pain will subside with rest. I was thinking about you and Tom & the rest of the Riffe family all day. God will bring a calm to all of this soon. Stay strong - you are Special.
Aw, shucks, Sissy....you know we all just love you all to pieces!! I iterate everything that Red and Jo said!! Sure that Sharon will probably rest much more comfortably at Thelma's and then home than in a hospital!
Hubby is on his way home from Atlanta, he is almost 90 mins. late, due to the back up of traffic from the fog on the east coast that lasted longer this a.m...plane should be taking off soon...fun day today...stomach hurts from laughing....Mary Margaret, Ceil and I were there....Ceil made awesome pumpkin bread and really great meatball sandwiches:)
Hey, Red, you get a break from the domestic chore tonight, huh? Good for you! Jo, when Mom lived in Port St. Lucie, which is about 60 miles north of West Palm Beach, we could see the shuttle even in the daytime!!
I have always wanted to see a launch.....years ago they brought a retired shuttle to the Smithsonian at Museum out at Dulles,,,,Kevin was young but we rode up to the Washington Beltway and it circled around twice, really low, riding piggy back on its 747
I can well understand what you are saying about the belly laughs that little ones can bring on with their actions. I can just visualize you 3 big sisters with the 2 little sisters!
Sharon called a little while ago, they were still in Charlottesville waiting for prescriptions, then off to Thelma's' and back home tomorrow, back up for Dr appt., next Thursday
Friday, November 14 This week we have noticed that the fur around the cub’s neck has started to turn slightly pink in color; don’t worry, though, this is not permanent. Studies have shown that the saliva of light-colored dogs and lab rats contains chemical pigments and iron that produce a change in the color of the fur when it is licked. It is presumed that this pigment is also present in the saliva of giant pandas. So when Lun Lun carries the cub or licks him, his fur becomes stained pink. When the cub is able to clean himself by scratching and rubbing (adult giant pandas really don’t groom themselves by licking), the pink tint will fade and his fur will appear white again.
Hi Sharon! Glad you got sprung. Hospitals are necessary, but they sure aren't a good place to rest and heal! You take things slow and easy, girlfriend. Listen to Thelma!! Sure she'll keep you on the straight and narrow. And don't laugh too hard!! Use your huggy pillow for laughing and coughing!
Good night, Wanda and Jim, and anyone still lurking. Prayers for peace, understanding, comfort and acceptance for all in need. And a prayer for sunshine tomorrow!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Our Nest cam looks really weird. It may be the fog. It looks as if there is an eagle in there, but not sure. Hope it is not going beserk on us!
Whoa- you are right, wierd pic on the cam...blurry...I'm not sure if that's an eagle or just the spideyweb. Still seems so dark there, although it does seem to be updating the pic...
well good morning everyone. I think we have a visitor but I wouldn't swear to it.. Off to work for me today. Hmmm with the refresh I don't think its a visitor at all. Oh well maybe soon.
It is refreshing, but something's wrong, because it is light here, not pitch black like the cam is showing. We had heavy rains overnite, maybe the cam got water in it....

Hedgie, we are definitely beginning another hot, dry, desert wind period here in So Cal.

Hope we have some lurkers...looks like could be a take-off coming...
Maybe - one will return...that was pretty quick....
Eagle alert our nest...just one...
Now 2!!!!
Paula and Loretta Magic...
Hey Margy
Not sure if Lib left or not...was on the back, now I can't tell
Hey Paula -
and a 30-second refresh here...
Eagle gone gone!
Of all times....
Now, a 2nd encore maybe>
Lonely Louie still at BWO
Like it when it "sticks" to the 30 second rule!
Catch ya'll later!!
Well, that was good enough for me!
Just a little beauty before heading to the office...gotta find some red...
Take Care, All - enjoy your Friday.
x o ♥
Have a quiet night, Margy.
Later...
Would like to think that some of the Southern Delegation got a peek too!
Thanks Paula....
Peace, and Prayers for all...Eagle ♀'s and ♂'s
x o † ♥
This southern boy saw it Margy but I know you are talking about the southern WV gals.
Margy, you've got mail, if you have time!!!
Loretta, hope the wedding weekend is a grand success! Hopefully, you don't have alot of work to do for it!! I'm sure that grandma can just enjoy more than she could for her own kids, huh???!!!!
Praying that I have a long time to find out! My gd's are 14 and 10...I told them not to get married until they are at least 30!
Now, I guess I am about ready to make like a baby and head out, finally got out of my pajamas ...
x o ♥
Whooops My Bad... You and Lolly, that is, Red...
Looks like the bark or whatever it was is gone! Thanks Lib or Belle for pushing that stranger out of the way!!!
I think Ceil had it right. I do believe it was a piece of bark. It faded away this morning.
Good evening Eagle buds!!
Hi, Sissy. How was the day? Is everyone ok? How's our Sharon doing?
Hi Sissy. How's Sharon? Is she coming home tomorrow?
Oops almost forgot...
((((hugs, hugs & more hugs))))
Your family is strong and nothing can deter that. You have our prayers and thoughts with you. You've sure been through a lot this week.
Snowman cam --
The deets are looking at us!!
You all make me feel so very special and I cannot thank you enough!
Aw, shucks, Sissy....you know we all just love you all to pieces!! I iterate everything that Red and Jo said!!
Sure that Sharon will probably rest much more comfortably at Thelma's and then home than in a hospital!
If anyone in the mid-Atlantic has clear sky, watch for shuttle in southeastern sky shortly after 8!!
Good evening everyone.....
It's very cloudy here in North Alabama Hedgie. I'm not sure I could see it from here anyway.
Good evening Helen. I'm getting ready to go out for supper. Hope you had a nice day.
Hi Helen! I know you had a FUN day
with your gals.
I emailed Genie & Bobbi in FL
and asked if they will see anything
of the shuttle.
Hubby is on his way home from Atlanta, he is almost 90 mins. late, due to the back up of traffic from the fog on the east coast that lasted longer this a.m...plane should be taking off soon...fun day today...stomach hurts from laughing....Mary Margaret, Ceil and I were there....Ceil made awesome pumpkin bread and really great meatball sandwiches:)
bummer, don't think I will see shuttle....drizzling here
Hey, Red, you get a break from the domestic chore tonight, huh? Good for you!
Jo, when Mom lived in Port St. Lucie, which is about 60 miles north of West Palm Beach, we could see the shuttle even in the daytime!!
Fog was thick here this morning too. I had to delay my trip to Walmart for an hour.
yes, Red and Jo, it was sooo much fun....Molly is walking now too, it is really funny to see these little ones walking all over the place.
Well Ms. Red is home. Will be leaving now. BBL
I know that Kennedy Space Center was north of there, but not sure how many miles.
Just announced that launch is on schedule.
Helen, I never got an e-mail notice from NASA, did you??
I have always wanted to see a launch.....years ago they brought a retired shuttle to the Smithsonian at Museum out at Dulles,,,,Kevin was young but we rode up to the Washington Beltway and it circled around twice, really low, riding piggy back on its 747
That would have been neat to watch!!!
I can well understand what you are saying about the belly laughs that little ones can bring on with their actions. I can just visualize you 3 big sisters with the 2 little sisters!
Hey Mits, bet you did have a blast today. We have had little ones running everywhere too. So much fun.
no I didn't, and I know I signed up for any info they might have.....didn't know it was launching til I heard it on the news coming home tonight
pizza here!!!! BBL
Tom and Mattie are back. BBL.
Me Too - BBL
Sharon called a little while ago, they were still in Charlottesville waiting for prescriptions, then off to Thelma's' and back home tomorrow, back up for Dr appt., next Thursday
I sure hope her pain can be managed.
Lot of traveling around upcoming.
Prayers for our Eagle Eye!!!
Primo I guess is on the
moosecam.....
Leaving for awhile.......... BBL
Friday Atlanta Update..........
Friday, November 14
This week we have noticed that the fur around the cub’s neck has started to turn slightly pink in color; don’t worry, though, this is not permanent.
The cub’s current weight is 3,608 grams.

There are a couple of racoons in PA, nothing happening at the snowman cam. It is windy here tonight, windchill makes it feel like 19, brrr.
State football playoffs are tonight. The town I used to teach in is playing, but they are behind 21-6.
Howdy Ho good eagle folk!
Good news on Sharon.
Sounds like everyone had a good day...mmm meatballs subs...
It Is Foggy Out There!!
Good evening all of my friends of fine feathers and fur. I am officially in Bedford, alive and kicking, slow and low.
Hey Sharon - Hope the pain meds help and you get some rest!!
HI SHARON! How was the ride to Thelma's? Hope they pumped you full of some Happy Juice! lol
What more could anyone ask: 3 sisters, 2 wonderful little girls and a meatball sandwich?
Lynn, I think Sharon has conked out on us. Hope she has a sound sleep tonight,
Think I will conk out too. Eating crab legs makes me sleepy. lol
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE

Just came in to sign off after saying Good Night Everyone
Rest well Sharon & heal
Prayers for all being offered
((hugs))
Glad you are halfway home, Sharon. Sleep well, another car ride tomorrow!
Last refresh cam screen went very dark, something is definitely messed up.
well good morning everyone. I think we have a visitor but I wouldn't swear to it.. Off to work for me today. Hmmm with the refresh I don't think its a visitor at all. Oh well maybe soon.
The good news is I guess that its refreshing every thirty secs or so once again.
It is refreshing, but something's wrong, because it is light here, not pitch black like the cam is showing. We had heavy rains overnite, maybe the cam got water in it....
Yep, That is One Kooky Nest Cam this morning...I see old Barky is back.
Hens at Pix, and Mean Lookin' Eagle at BWO just left...
Good Morning Eagle ♀'s and ♀'s...
There's an Osprey in the Nest in Cape Coral Florida:

And a very dark looking squirrel at SnowMan Cam...
