Thx Paula for pic of Woobie, Teddy, etc. They ought to auction him off & make big bucks for the cams!!!
Hi Hedgie & T-bird! Been checking BC & Delta forums---looks like no rescues required--had Delta cam on to see if Dawn would make it back to nest--so far she's a no show. When Dan is ready, I wonder if they'll release him in the nest area. Also wondering if CHIL update on Wed. will say anything about reason for demise of poor 71. I think hunger.Don't think he was injured by adults, as Steffi had taken pics of him on island after the WE nest visit.
Boy, that's some really dramatic stuff about the eaglet scared out of the remnants of its nest, and then in the BC location, the whole tree & nest & eaglet blown right over!!
Thanks to Deb and whoever else posted clips and reports on those happenings.
It's great that all the eagles involved seem to have survived and will probably be OK.
No choice, next year the BC pair will have to find a different location ... and hopefully a younger stronger tree.
I just took another look at the Frodocam area ... in the daylight.
No birds there now, but they have posted some pics at the bottom of the page from yesterday.
You take a look and see what you think about "Frieda." I immediately thought it isn't the same Frieda this year. (I just thought, maybe it's Frodo though). She seems younger and her shape is different ... and smaller. She holds her wings differently, and head-neck-shoulder look is also different.
All I remember is that as far as IDing, Frodo had a white spot on his back. I remember last season how everyone was guessing as to whether or not it was the prior season's Frieda or a new Frieda. I just hope whichever Frieda this season brings to us that she can lay fertile eggs - 3 of them to be exact
NATURE NUT: What a GREAT way to end the day, watching the Moose family at the Water Sprinkler...must have tickled those little Moose legs! And the music by one of my favorites: Alison Kraus and Union Station.
Good Night all, work day Tuesday for me.
Prayers, of Gratitude, that we ALL have EACH OTHER, through the good times and the sad...
Hi, Mema Jo, I think the photos are of Frodo on second look.
Usually, the ones they've posted early in the season have been of Frieda perched on the wall, but this falcon is too small to be a female, I now believe.
...Probably why it doesn't look like Frieda. Hahaha.
I think everyone is wondering what the cause of death were of K-71 ... and also A-66, "Survivor," which fledged from the hacking tower but was found dead nearby a couple of days later.
On K-71, I certainly think it could have been hunger ... that's the probable reason for her being at the WE nest and the Seal Rocks nest ... looking for food.
She probably wasn't killed by the WE adults, but don't forget Steffi photographed her very near the SR nest, so it is possible that the SR adults killed or injured her while trying to drive her out of their territory.
Wow...so many updates, stories cams and videos today! Very busy, busy trying to keep up! Hi to everybody back in the fold! Mei's new best friend needs to start a narrative report of her weekend, w/ pics...hint, hint!! Lolly, hope you have a good visit in Galveston.
That's the way it goes sometimes Jim... I saw your post after I posted my link - that you were going to look for it...Oh well, she will get it in the morning I guess... It's still early out there in CA!
IRIS AND JIM, glad you two are keeping each other straight... Love the Frodo & Frieda cam. It look nice and clean and fresh, ready for a new little family.
Margy...Mom's AC is still down; now repairmen til Friday. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow. Going to cat scan tummy. Yes, Jill is Dustins sister. 9 years apart.
MITS: Was your satellite BRIGHT OR DIM last night? I see the "Early Ammonia Server" was supposed to go through around 10:15 but it was described as being "dim?" What could it be? Maybe a UFO ???
July 31 at 10:32 or so, ISS - should be VERY BRIGHT - in the NNW sky, at a 25-degree angle rise, but it should be a LOOKER !
Good morning all my eagle buddies. Back to work this morning. This having fun is hard on old people, I tell ya. We had a great time in Pigeon Forge but it is good to be home.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
MANY PRAYERS BEING SAID TONIGHT....
Hahaha, Wanda. I've done that before...or had it for breakfast. But usually I follow my old Mother's lead and have my staples and vegetables first.
God bless her, she's been gone since '84, but her early teachings are still with me.

Me too I'm nodding off here at the computer...Hope to see you all tomorrow. Night night and hugs!
Prayers for all today and everyday!
Good night, everyone. I will stop in before I leave tomorrow!
Good Morning Early Risers!
It's too dark yet to see if we have any Mountaineers...
But, if your skies are clear and you can look East, NorthEast, there is a beautiful delicate crescent Moon to feast your eyes upon...
xo
Checking some sites,
Sea Eagles, don't see any birds.
Halifax Osprey, second egg unhatched, can't see the chick, might be huddled under Mom.
Already saw one sailboat at Ferry Boat Finney's ! Mema, it's waiting on you to jump on..
Loch Garten chick perched on a tree..
Waiting on a Mountaineer or two.
xo
Wait a minute, I guess that IS the chick at Novia Scotia...thought it was the parent! I'm behind the times!
What a big surprise...
