We have a workstation at NCTC that allows guests to input birds that they see as the walk around the campus. Here's the link. Not a lot of data, but still a pretty big number of bird species.

Hello all! Glad to see so many on today. So hot and muggy, hope everyone can stay inside! Thought for the day, courtesy of Jack Canfield in RD: "Most people spend more time planning their summer vacation than they do planning their life." Hmmmmm! Doing computer work for retiree group today, plus laundry. Was going to start painting deck rails, but too stinkin' hot for me to be out. Better go check some cams!
HELLO EVERYONE Am at the beach, there was a terrible accident on RT 50 east, caused some delays, overturned 18-Wheeler, had to drop off something at s-i-l's home in Annapolis, stopped for ice coffee, got some gas $3.94, not bad, and I'm here, it is 81, with a nice breeze out out the north. Took me less than 4 hours:)
correction, breeze is out of the south, but it feels good....yes, Paula, it is nice to be back...gas prices were all below 4 dollars on the eastern shore:)
This site here is for a Hobby Falcon cam (kinda like a kestrel) over in Chrissy's neck in the woods. One hatchling, and she is rolling like there could be another egg to hatch. Chrissy saw Mom feeding and preening the chick earlier. The cam is has some rather annoying little sounds to it but it should be a fun one to watch
DEB: I jumped on your site soon as I got home. Wow and Triple Wow. Like the egrets, the Pheasant, the ducks, the buildings, fields, soaring birds, well, everything, let's just put it that way. We might need some ID's of some of the creatures.. Thank you so much for this treat !!
We know we are in trouble when we think $3.94 ain't bad for gas, ya know it? That is what I told Tom. They raise it up so ridiculously high that when they drop it back to absurd, we think we are getting a deal.
Loch Garten seems to be minus one chick, but the nest gets outta sight way over to the right so it could be on there, on a nearby branch, or maybe, it fledged....
Wing-flappin visible to the right of the cam view at Loch's - and the other chick doing the same...almost seems like the Talons are stuck on the nest material sometimes. Mom in the middle getting nearly thumped with wing action.
Live Feed down here too, and I can't open up West End....
Latest urine results from Mei Urinary progestin concentrations measured in Mei Xiang’s urine have increased slightly over the past two days. Although we are still on the tail end of the luteal phase and the secondary rise, the slight increase indicates that this years’ reproductive cycle is not over yet.
As more sample become available additional analyses will be conducted.
Glad you liked my pictures, let me know which ones you want to know about. I had fun taking them. We did have nice weather, Paula, only a little rain the first night and a couple of really windy days.
The info page at Loch Garten says no fledging yet. Looks like both youngsters are lying in the nest now...or just one with its wings all spread out...All that wing flapping musta "wore them slam out..." (Sissy, are you here..?)
THELMA: If you and BUDDY would park yourselves in front of OUR NEST I bet we would have some LIVE Action...you know, magic touch and all that jazz.....
I think I need some Starbucks in my life. Stayed with mil this morning, didn't get to work as much as I should. So now I am having to work a while this evening. Nothing drastic, just past my working time.
I think I saw there was some action mid-morning...not sure, I might be dreaming..
SISSY: Head over here to Magpies Roost and I'll grind some Starbucks Coffee Beans for you, served up with some Starbucks Coffee Latte Ice Cream - all in Starbucks Coffee Mugs...just for you ! (Well, me too I guess...)
Yes, Sissy, I splurge once in awhile..I especially like the Java Chip, and the Italian Roast..BUT - I make myself think I am behaving by getting the Low Fat Latte! Guess What! It does not taste a bit low fat! My brother has been generous with me, with the mugs, and a little Starbucks brand coffee grinder...
The Little Hobbies are in darkness now...guess they area about 5 or 6 hours ahead of us. Got West End up, it's looking empty now.
Remember the Moon tonight...It will be about "99% full" according to BWE Moon Phase data...it "goes full" at 3:59 AM on the 18th...I don't think we'll notice that missing 1 % - hope skies are clear for it....
I like the Italian Roast and the Sumatra really good. Although, I have to say I haven't found one I didn't like yet. Walmart, 7 bucks a bag, can't go wrong!!
PAULA: I think DEB saw a little action our nest, including parents, two juvies, and a Food Fight between 9 and 9:30...glad she did, being as how she was away from the Family for a week....
WOW- it is really HOT outside today. Bet those eagles are hanging in the shade somewhere, probably by the river. Here's a cool coffee company, I'm not a coffee drinker, but lots of people I know love these coffees. It's a small, local company. black dog coffee
Yes, I did see some action this morning. I have video, I will load.
Magpie, I don't know what the duck family was. I saw them swimming away from me, there are too many brown ducks with that shape bill to say for sure. There were lots of ruddy ducks around, so maybe they are the female and chicks of the ruddy duck?? If you open the show, do you see the captions?
Mother used to use an old-timey Osterizer - a blender with two speeds: On, and Off....I still have that old machine packed away in storage..think I'll go get it. And SHE used 8 o'clock Coffee, Paula....
Magpie, when we go camping, me and Tom have Starbucks in a real percolator outside on a fire. That is the ultimate cup of coffee without a doubt. Have to have Coffeemate French Vanilla, too.
Actually West End has major drama again. A third young eaglet has landed there. The juvies are all fighting and adults are going after the eaglets that are not theirs. Its a mess and not a very good sign at West End Again.
ARGH...Anyway its eagle related and did want to share it as I know many of you follow the nest.
Wow, sounds heavenly, Sissy... Can I crash your next camping outing?
GLO: That is definitely NOT GOOD news.....Please keep us posted and post any sites we can check for more info. Thanks ! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU ON HERE AGAIN!!!!!
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE... Before I turn this 'puter over to Dustin, I need to give an update on his condition. It is LYME'S DISEASE!! Waahooo and Horay! Still have to give the same meds for 3 more weeks. But when this is done, it is done! With Rheumatic Fever, he would have to have a shot every month for the rest of his life. He weighed 122lbs. when he first got sick, and now weighs 126 1/2lbs. I think it is the antibiotics that is making him feel better. PRAYERS DO WORK...THANK YOU ALL.
WANDA: We have been waiting for your report...wonderful, hopeful report. Of course he put on weight, with Grandma's cooking and tender lovin' care.
Imagine: Lyme's Disease...something that a few years ago you had to search for a doctor who would even figure it out early enough to prevent severe damage and lingering discomfort and disability.
We will continue our prayers, and include some big ones of THANKS that Dustin is responding to all the treatment from all the special people involved in this situation.
SISSY...we used to cal Karla (Dustin's mother) ELLIE MAE, during the days of BEVERLY HILLBILLIES. She would bring home anything that was sick or injured and was pretty good at nursing them back to health. And of course, she named them all. Some of the names were hysterical. Like "Homer" the pigeon,"Mrs. Butterworth" the butterfly, etc.
Actually I have turned the cam off and not going to follow this latest drama. I think I am ending my eagle viewing for this webcam season. I have posted an Eagle Release story on the Feedblitz for tomorrow. I will wait now for my migrating eagles in winter. I am sure Paula will give you the info on West End for those not already watching that cam.
Geeesh have I ever learned about eagles in nature. Its amazing they ever did come back from what humans did to them given the struggles the young go thru just to survive their first year.
Might come back to follow NCTC cam in the fall. Haven't decided whether this eagle web cam is just a little more upfront drama than I am cut out for.
Kind of good that so many of you live close together and enjoy other cams and each other so well.
DEB: Great Eagle Family Video...I guess the parents' feelings don't get hurt from the "rude" treatment they sometimes seem to get.
Just re-watched the Slide Show. Finally figured out to click on the little message balloon to get your captions. Perfect! I love the Ruddy Duck, Grebe, old buildings, well, I said before: EVERYTHING!!!!
On the way home we stopped at Flying J in Virginia and filled up with gas. $3.89 gal...lowest price we could find, but still coast $110.00 to fill up our van. Use to average $45.00. I told Dustin, we needed to talk to God tonight and ask for some extra money to pay for this gas; and he said, we need to pray for the price to go down so it will help EVERYBODY. He recently told me he talks to God at night. Brought tears to my eyes. All those Sundays, taking him to church has begun to pay off.
GLO: You can come and roost at all of our places, one night at a time, and we'll watch the cams together! We're with you in spirit, and hope that our good thoughts can ease the sorrow you are feeling about the Eagle Trials and Tribulations...
DEB... so glad you enjoyed your vacation. In my opinion, you didn't have enough photos, I was sorry when the slideshow was over. BEAUTIFUL. I especially liked Sunset in the Trees.
Good evening everyone. Been watching our nest and Mei Xiang all day. Actually got off work at 2. Everytime I stood up, I got dizzy so that helped me to keep my butt in the seat and work today!
I don't guess I would really call it sick, Magpie, just have had some dizziness today, stand up and the room start spinning. Anytime I have had that before, I had previously ingested a beverage or 2! :)
Poor Buddy, he sure can't get a break, can he? Thanks, Jim, for the update link. I am glad the surgery went well, not he needs to get rid of the yeast infection.
Evening Everyone. Saw the Buddy update this PM. Poor little guy seems to end up taking one step back, but hope he'll be better soon. Been checking blog--Deb, your pics are beautiful. The pheasant is so colorful! Glo, plz come visit even if you don't watch cams. Love to see you!
Awww, poor Buddy. Little guy has been through so much...but they sure are taking excellent care of our little friend.
At the WE nest - A juvie from another nest on the island, maybe an eaglet hatched this year from the Pinnacle Rock nest, or possibly one of last year's juvies has been landing on the WE nest. Parent and juvies have now chased it away. Poor eaglet probably looking for company or food.
Wow Deb. I just now got time to look at your pics. You have a great eye for a good shot. I would love to go out West some time in my life. Have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, etc.
Sissy, I too have wanted to see the Grand Canyon since high school when I did a term paper about it. Hubby says' "it's a hole in the ground"! BOOOOO!!! My daughter & sil are going again there at end of Aug, BUT it will be a motorcyle tour once they get there, so don't think I'll join. Maybe a bunch of us could to a field trip---golf carts, pogo sticks?? LOL
Poor Buddy. Keeping him in prayer. Wanda, great news on Dustin...the lesser of two evils! Just so glad they went ahead and treated for Lyme earlier rather than later. I have a friend who is very debilitated from it because it wasn't caught early on. Did everyone get my momsters' e-mail w/ Sharon's pic from the newspaper?? I may be in The Herald (Hagerstown paper) tomorrow...a reporter called today asking me about the GM salaried retirees benefit cuts (because my name has been attached to club info submitted, I guess). Woo-hoo! Warning: if you are on municipal sewer systems!! A lady opened her washer to remove laundry and there was an 8 ft. python in with the clothes! Authorities claim it crawled in thru' sewer lines--and that it happens more often than people realize. Didn't hear where, but...be careful!
Yes, Paula, I was just going to point people to the WE blog. There are so many pages I haven't been able to read the whole story, but there has been another intrusion by an immature eagle on their nest.
Wanda, Glad to hear about Dustin!!Early treatment will do the trick. I was thinking Lyme's because of the rash. Some Park employees have had it over the years. What's hard is that it's caused by the deer tick which is very small....could be on & off you w/out you knowing.
Amazing what they've done for Beauty...poor thing. They should catch that guy & take his nose off!!
Beauty's beak looks like the fairing on a high line cafe racer motorcycle.
The Grand Canyon is awesome, no question about it, Paula. And you really don't get the depth or the distance in a 2D picture.
In fact some people with the height phobia really can't take that real world perspective.
The first place I looked over when I got there was one of those kinds of places. It looked like about a half mile straight down the sandstone cliffs!! I got a little totally terrified and unable to focus for a moment, but then I got over it and was OK for the rest of the visit ... just be careful about getting too close to the edges.
Oh yeah, if you go to the Canyon and take your camera, make sure you have a "circular polarizer filter" ... there's usually quite a bit of haze, but some days it's close to fog, and you need the filter to get decent pictures.
Thx for the GC info Jim. I hope I get there before too long. My sil takes great pics when he goes there. I'll mention the filter. Don't know what he uses, but they send me CDs of their trips. I don't think I would want to go out on the new glass overlook, tho!!
I'm glad Dustin's disease is treatable and under control.
I was afraid it was Rheumatic Fever, although I guess antibiotics can handle that too.
I had R. F. as a three-year-old, which was before antibiotics for civilians (they were a secret weapon for the Allies during WWII) and when the Fever almost always caused lifelong heart damage.
We were living in St. Paul then and had better access to medical help than we had down in the farms. They found out it was caused by a gross case of tonsillitis; removed them and my adenoids as soon as they could, gave me a couple ice cream cones, which hurt my throat, and sent me home. Miraculously, I started recovering immediately with no noticeable heart damage.
I was told by doctors over the years that that disease, as well as about 3 others, were serious enough to keep me out of the Army.
Hahaha. They did keep me out of the Army, but the Marine Corps never heard of my problems.....
I am thankful that Dustin will be finishing up his meds in a few weeks. I think with Lyme's you expect to remove a tick - but I guess that isn't always the case. The deer tick is so tiny.
yeah, I knew she was from WVA, if she can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen....she really has no clue what it is like to live in a big city, she is a bit of a snob.
Michael and I had a good laugh earlier....Dog ate the pie off the counter...it was a lemon pie... a small one from the grocery store....but it was tart! Dog kept licking like they do when they eat peanut butter...just had to laugh...at least we each got a piece before the rest of it was eaten!
Yeah, Mits, I think that's what she said! I'll hang onto the article, Jo. I can always try to send it again, or another way. Paula...doggie knows what's good, but I bet the licking is the same as puckering up!!!
I'm sorry Paula, should have given you a heads up, almost forgot it myself....amazing what they can do...Dr. Snob should be thankful she is getting training in one of the best hospitals in the world.
Sharon, if you read this in the morning, cause I know you've already gone to bed...are you feeling better? Can you check your blood pressure if you are still dizzy? Sissy, didn't catch where anyone answered your question about the panda pregnancy dilemma...yes, it's always this way! Night all. And Goodnight Moon! Rest well. Peace for all.
It's been a long day and a good one. Dustin is on the road to recovery and all's right with the world. He's looking forward to crab legs tomorrow night. The last time we took him, he felt so bad that he couldn't eat.
Nuts, I missed Hopkins--great show. Was checking cams & found on the Black Stork one from Estonia that at the bottom rightside on their message list is link for Wild Boar TV. Videos taken this spring. Funny little snorty buggers come out of the woods to cornpiles! That's all Folks! Nighty-nite, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>))
Well, it looks like the same immature tried to find a place on the WE nest a couple of times today.
There were skirmishes between it and Miracle ... 2-3 times. Then it was driven off, and the two sisters went at it for some unknown reason.
The intruder returned, floating down just like Miracle does. One of the WE eaglets flew to the camera, and then both adults started dive bombing the stranger, driving it down the side of the nest peak and then out of the area.
My theory (there are several) is that it's from the opposite end of the island (like the PR nest), hungry and no way of getting food soon; so it tried to grab some food from the WE nest... either from the eaglets or from an adult bring in a sea bass or something.
It's certainly a female from the size of it, and probably it was dominant in its nest. The WE girls did well against her in the skirmishes though.
Moon was hazy when it rose here too, but it was a beautiful hazy pink round beautiful thing to behold, then when it got out of the haze: Wow. Jupiter is still its traveling companion for the night....they just re-arranged their positions. I guess our eaglets were out somewhere moon-gazing.

Tom and Andrew don't get in bed till late and they leave it wide open. MT nest, but the pandas are stirring this morning. (Wish I was a panda.)
Good Eagle Morning All! Was up til the wee hours checking out CHIL forum about the WE nest excitement. Now on their Breaking News thread, they have listed all the videos taken. I think the older juvie who visited was only looking for food or company. Perhaps he/she was a last year's chick from that nest. Won't know 'til there's positive ID of bling.

Anyone else's live feed down??
Mine is down, Paula.
Thanks, Deb, I sent Steve an email...
Deb I just looked at your pictures. Not too many. Beautiful.
Sounds like a good drive, Mits. I'm sure it's nice to be back...and yes, I'm jealous!!
I think the highest we paid was $4.37.
correction, breeze is out of the south, but it feels good....yes, Paula, it is nice to be back...gas prices were all below 4 dollars on the eastern shore:)
think I paid higher than that couple of weeks ago in Bethesda

Right now the view is a little distant on the Hobby site, but it zooms in often.
Loch Garten chicks just got fed. Pop has been bringing in some big ones. Chrissy was watching a very large wiggley thing earlier...
They should be flying out any day now.
Yeah, Ceil, I'm with you re: Deb's photos: NEVER TOO MANY !!!
I love the mirror image shots, and the old buildings too !
On that Hobby Cam, I heard a horse "braying" several times...ha ha it sounds funny.
Love the pics too Deb! My Favs are the sunsets. Looks like you had nice weather.
Mom has flown out at Hobbys for a minute..little bobblehead in the nest. maybe two, or just feathers fluffing in the wind. Adorable !
Oh dear, looks like a bat, mouse, or small bird for lunch for baby Hobby...
Yup - Two Hobblets !
They are pure white...and that meal is lookig kinda red and squishy...
We know we are in trouble when we think $3.94 ain't bad for gas, ya know it? That is what I told Tom. They raise it up so ridiculously high that when they drop it back to absurd, we think we are getting a deal.
I have panda bears sleeping in all kinds of weird positions. Wish I was a panda.
lol....your right Sissy, its a good thing:)
Loch Garten seems to be minus one chick, but the nest gets outta sight way over to the right so it could be on there, on a nearby branch, or maybe, it fledged....
One chick, one adult visible right now.
Wing-flappin visible to the right of the cam view at Loch's - and the other chick doing the same...almost seems like the Talons are stuck on the nest material sometimes. Mom in the middle getting nearly thumped with wing action.

what that means is we still don't know if she is pregnant.....be patient...."it is what it is":)
WANDA: Hope NO NEWS is GOOD NEWS.
Be sure Dustin lets you jump on the computer first when you get home we can get the news on his doctor's visit..
Yep, Mits, and as they say on Camp Lazslo (a kiddie cartoon):
Wait for it...Wait for it...Wait for it...
I'm thinking pretty strongly we have had a chick fly out at Loch. Mom left too...
and I'm headed for a NAP...
Is it always like this with pandas, not knowing if they are pregnant till the baby comes?
Glad you liked my pictures, let me know which ones you want to know about. I had fun taking them. We did have nice weather, Paula, only a little rain the first night and a couple of really windy days.
Popping in and right back out!
Wanted to say that I loved ALL your photos, Deb. Beautiful sights you enjoyed!
There are Turkeys in the woods of PA
Our nest is MT
The Delta eaglets grew so much in the last week, pretty soon they will be gone, too.
LIVE FEED IS UP!
Thanks Deb. Now all we need are some birds.
DEB - Mostly the ducks, Deb....
and some of the flying things, I wasn't too sure about...
regarding my comment about needing some help with the IDs.
The info page at Loch Garten says no fledging yet. Looks like both youngsters are lying in the nest now...or just one with its wings all spread out...All that wing flapping musta "wore them slam out..."
(Sissy, are you here..?)
THELMA: If you and BUDDY would park yourselves in front of OUR NEST I bet we would have some LIVE Action...you know, magic touch and all that jazz.....
xo ...going back for the rest of my nap.....z z z
Yep, magpie, I am here. And I am wore slam out. :)
Didn't see where there had been any eagle or "eaglat" action today?
good to see live feed up-hope all is well in eagle land
I think I need some Starbucks in my life. Stayed with mil this morning, didn't get to work as much as I should. So now I am having to work a while this evening. Nothing drastic, just past my working time.
Yay Thelma:
I think I saw there was some action mid-morning...not sure, I might be dreaming..
SISSY: Head over here to Magpies Roost and I'll grind some Starbucks Coffee Beans for you, served up with some Starbucks Coffee Latte Ice Cream - all in Starbucks Coffee Mugs...just for you ! (Well, me too I guess...)
See, magpie, you are a woman after my own heart. I have some Starbucks coffee and mug but no ice cream.
Yes, Sissy, I splurge once in awhile..I especially like the Java Chip, and the Italian Roast..BUT - I make myself think I am behaving by getting the Low Fat Latte! Guess What! It does not taste a bit low fat! My brother has been generous with me, with the mugs, and a little Starbucks brand coffee grinder...
xo
what is the java chip?
The Little Hobbies are in darkness now...guess they area about 5 or 6 hours ahead of us. Got West End up, it's looking empty now.
Remember the Moon tonight...It will be about "99% full" according to BWE Moon Phase data...it "goes full" at 3:59 AM on the 18th...I don't think we'll notice that missing 1 % - hope skies are clear for it....
Maybe our Eaglets are getting some late summer school training....
The moon was beautiful here in Bedford, Va last night. I think it will be clear here tonight too.
I like the Italian Roast and the Sumatra really good. Although, I have to say I haven't found one I didn't like yet. Walmart, 7 bucks a bag, can't go wrong!!
Hello early evening buddies!
I am headed to get some dinner...
Be patient - I am sure that when I leave The kids will come!!!
BBL

See Mema Jo, have a good supper, save me some!!
Hey Magpie, WE nest is finally on!
I haven't seen any action in our nest all day!
Star is at TH
"Moi non Plus" PAULA, (I think that means "Me Neither" in French...) at West End..just found that it opened up, thanks.
Glad you got your pics!
PAULA:
I think DEB saw a little action our nest, including parents, two juvies, and a Food Fight between 9 and 9:30...glad she did, being as how she was away from the Family for a week....
Or did you mean No Action West End?
What a view, Ferry Boat Finneys....
check out that yellow, orange, pink and clouds in the sky line...
got to do some chores-catch you fine folk later
Gonna read some "On the Wing" about Peregrines for awhile..
TTFN (Ta Ta For Now...) xo
Oh, I must have missed that on the blog this morning...thanks, Magpie.
I enjoyed you trip photos too Deb. You are a great photographer.
I forgot to say "Thanks, NCTC" for getting the live feed back on today.
We do appreciate it!
My favorite coffee is the ol' A&P Brand 8 o'clock coffee.
Heading home, see ya later!
Thanks, Red, I don't know about great, but I am very lucky. I wish I was as good as Bob!
Video from this morning is up on my page. Off to figure out dinner.
Love all the Coffee Suggestions.
Something Local: Gonna Support it if I can find it...Thanks everyone.
PAULA: WEST END GIRLS ARE TRYING TO WAIT FOR YA..
Going back to slide show now, missed the captions before, DEB, and can I make it bigger somehow?
And can't wait to see the Video..
Here I go - Wahoo!
Mother used to use an old-timey Osterizer - a blender with two speeds: On, and Off....I still have that old machine packed away in storage..think I'll go get it. And SHE used 8 o'clock Coffee, Paula....
I Love it !
HELLO EVERYONE ELSE!
XO Love reading ALL the comments..
Hi Glo. We been missing you. Hate to hear that about the West End eagles.
Oh Wanda!! That is fantastic news. Still a sick youngun but the end is in site!! I am so grateful for you all!! Go Dustin. He is getting buff, Wanda!
We will continue our prayers, and include some big ones of THANKS that Dustin is responding to all the treatment from all the special people involved in this situation.
xo xo xo
Oh yeah, Wanda. I have a dog named Ellie Mae, a red dachshund.
GLO: You can come and roost at all of our places, one night at a time, and we'll watch the cams together! We're with you in spirit, and hope that our good thoughts can ease the sorrow you are feeling about the Eagle Trials and Tribulations...
xo
DEB... so glad you enjoyed your vacation. In my opinion, you didn't have enough photos, I was sorry when the slideshow was over. BEAUTIFUL. I especially liked Sunset in the Trees.
GLO, you know where your friends are. Yes, we will put you up at anytime and go to NCTC with you.
Good evening everyone. Been watching our nest and Mei Xiang all day. Actually got off work at 2. Everytime I stood up, I got dizzy so that helped me to keep my butt in the seat and work today!
Hey Wanda, do you all have eagle costumes?
Hope she answers first and gets to be #100, Sharon ...
I think that would be an awesome costume for Halloween!
WHOOPS....SHOULDA LEFT HER MORE TIME TO ANSWER.....
YOU ARE NOT SICK ARE YOU DOUBLE E-S?
Nope, Magpie, the facial is yours! :)
I don't guess I would really call it sick, Magpie, just have had some dizziness today, stand up and the room start spinning. Anytime I have had that before, I had previously ingested a beverage or 2! :)
You mean....THAT kind of beverage? Take it you don't mean Gatorade or Coffee....
Hope it subsides soon......
If I earned a facial, I WILL DONATE IT TO YOU...A GET-WELL FACIAL !!!
Sharon, Helen's dil's sister made an eagle costume for her son last Halloween. It was fantastic. Helen got him interested in eagles.
Jack did make for a good-looking eagle
We had pictures but must have deleted them.
yeah think I did send them to some, but I delete most things.
Off to watch the Oriole game. BBL
What's in the nest? Looks like a little skull!!
horizon was too hazy to see the moon coming up out of ocean, but it is just up above the horizon now ...pretty
West End Empty
Our Nest too..think the little skull is a turtle shell, Hedgie
Buck Deer at PA
Off to see the grandson and the "full" moon!
Take Care, All
TTFN xoxox
tired tonight....going to get pj's on and watch TV from bed...GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE Mei is sleeping peacefully
Okay - Mits - You got us by about 15 mins or so, being East of us and all...hope I can see it coming up...

I wouldn't be surprised if you have seen this update on Buddy, but I don't actually see the comment or link.
So, here it is for your information below.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Buddy's condition
OH - THAT - Hedgie...not sure...looked like some kind of mammal made it into the nest yesterday sometime...sorry, got confused with my leftovers....
it rose here at 8:15p.m., Margy
poor Buddy.
Poor Buddy, he sure can't get a break, can he? Thanks, Jim, for the update link. I am glad the surgery went well, not he needs to get rid of the yeast infection.
Jim, I had not seen that update on Buddy. Thanks so much! That poor little feller has had such a time.
Poor Buddy. Just one trial after another.
Hedgie - where in our nest did you see something that looked like a skull?
There is finally an update about Beauty, the eagle who received the prosthetic beak:
Beauty Update
Wow Deb. I just now got time to look at your pics. You have a great eye for a good shot. I would love to go out West some time in my life. Have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, etc.
Those pics are absolutely breathtaking.
Bedtime for Bonzo!! Everyone have a good night, see you in the morning light!!
I am glad everyone enjoyed the pictures.
I didn't realize it would be so long before the permanent beak was tried on Beauty.
LOL
Tell your hubby that it is a beautiful hole in the ground!!
Paula, I think Hedgie is looking at the white object in the nest on the right hand side about 3-ish.
Wanda, I am so glad to hear that you are dealing with Lyme's disease and not rheumatic fever. What a huge relief to you and your family.
Oh Yes, Dustin! Glad to hear they seem to have caught the Lyme's disease early - very treatable w/ antibiotics.
Ewww, Hedgie! Now I have to look out for snakes as well as spiders in the basement! :)
And I would love to see the Grand Canyon...I heard pictures just don't so it justice.
Yes, Paula, I was just going to point people to the WE blog. There are so many pages I haven't been able to read the whole story, but there has been another intrusion by an immature eagle on their nest.
Thanks for the update on Beauty, Deb.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Wanda, Glad to hear about Dustin!!Early treatment will do the trick. I was thinking Lyme's because of the rash. Some Park employees have had it over the years. What's hard is that it's caused by the deer tick which is very small....could be on & off you w/out you knowing.
Amazing what they've done for Beauty...poor thing. They should catch that guy & take his nose off!!
Sorry, blogger cop! Get carried away when it involves innocents.
Yes, Deb. Thanks for the update on Beauty. I knew the first beak was temporary, but didn't know they were going to have to wait so long either...
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Oh yeah, if you go to the Canyon and take your camera, make sure you have a "circular polarizer filter" ... there's usually quite a bit of haze, but some days it's close to fog, and you need the filter to get decent pictures.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
One day I'd like to visit that new semi-circular view walk they built over the Canyon. You'll never get a better view than that.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
That moon is a knock out tonight!
Being so large it looks so close to us.
Thanks for all the updates on Buddy & Beauty. (sent them to Suz)
I'll be looking for the pic, Lynn.
It's not in email yet.
There are W E VIDEOS of the intruder on the IWS forum.
Mits, did you hear Dr. Twit in the ER say that she's from WV??? And she criticizes Baltimore? Duh!
I'll go over on Momsters and check it out Hedgie.........
Small deer on Okie cam.
nope did not get it here, Jo...Lynn did Dr Snob say she was from Bluefield?
I forgot Hopkins was on...
Paula - I guess he didn't go back for seconds!
I am going to hit the hay! Have an play date with Alexis (3 yrs old) in
the morning.
Good Night Everyone
Peace to you & yours
Restful sleep & pleasant dreams
Moon sure is really gorgeous tonite:) Glad to hear about Dustin, Wanda. Good they figured it out and can get him treated right away.
Jo, he ate the rest of the pie! There were no seconds, LOL
I'm sorry Paula, should have given you a heads up, almost forgot it myself....amazing what they can do...Dr. Snob should be thankful she is getting training in one of the best hospitals in the world.
Mei is up and eating.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS
That heart transplant was cool.
Night everyone, both Osprey at Finny on the water!
G'nite all!

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE...

Jim
Okay, Paula...it worked! Sorry...didn't know!
I think, I am the last one on...
Good Night and/or Good Morning All.
xo
Just checked BWO before signing off for good...a weird looking thing on the cam...looks almost prehistoric...
Now, really, good night....

Good morning everyone!! Thanks for the weather update Mits. I was thinking that it is a little bit nippy here this morning for July, it is 65. I reckon the AC has given me a chill. Tom and Andrew don't get in bed till late and they leave it wide open. MT nest, but the pandas are stirring this morning. (Wish I was a panda.)
Very vocal chickadees out here this morning, justa fussin'.
Wish we could watch Buta Buta more, don't get to hang with her as much.
Hello and Good Morning..
Turkey Party at Pix...
Good morning magpie! How are ya this morning?
Nice weather forecast info...saves time not having to wait for "Local on tne 8's"
Thanks Mits...You're the Woman!
Double-E-S: Not too bad...sciatica is a bear...but I'm kinda used to it by now...
Nice to have all those early morning greetings....
xo
I adore Chickadees !
I think it's cool when the bird's name, matches its song!
We've had the fish test, the color test, the Zodiac test...I bet a bird test would be a SCREAM! I'm afraid though of what I would Be!
Little bird flew into the nest and took right back off. Musta realized this certainly wasn't home.
The "Eaglats" our nest have sure been giving us the slip since yesterday morning...
NatureNut: Can you give us the address for the site you are referring to?
Thanks. Hope that situation is resolved....home-wreckers not allowed!
Poor little Mei, now that is one panda I don't want to be right now. Just looks plumb miserable.
HI NORMA-BYRD: Want to catch you before you catch us !
" HO "
Nice little boat at Ferryboat Finney's
And those turkeys, black and white, nice effect...in PA
Have we heard from Lolly lately?
Maybe I overlooked something...
Hope everyone has had a look at the precious pic on the Blackwater Eagle Cam Page....No more live cam until December but it is a great parting shot...
Back on Later, gotta make like a baby and head out..
