I haven't had a chance to check the blogs at home last night, but wanted to say a cheery hello from school this morning, as I have not set this up to blog.

Hope all is going ok with everyone. Miss all of you sooooo much. Maybe I can get on tonight.

We have our first meeting with the children and parents this afternoon, and I intend to have the SD Panda Cam on my computer so they can watch.

You all have a super day!

GOOD MORNING CANDY,
lOOKING BACK, I THINK YOU GOT WAX.
Do you know what that is?

Costume Lady said...

SUZ--
Did you read that Squiggles had his first "Quickie" exam yesterday?

Costume Lady said...

CANDY--
That is an excellent idea! Have the Panda cam on and they will think it is solely to entertain them not knowing you are being entertained more than they are.lol

Oh boy, someone send Wanda the wax email.

My COFFEE is ready. I really need it this morning. I woke up this morning and couldn't remember where the clock was to see the time. Hoping the coffee helps; let you know when I come back.BBL

GOOD MORNING MEGAN
No watering to do today--hooray!

Suzanne said...

Wow, good Friday morning, Candy! Nice to see you again!
Wanda, wax is a very funny story. I got it via email, not sure I still have it, but I'll look. May take a while, it's over a year old, but may still have it on Yahoo.
Morning, Megan! How's your daughter's hand, now that she's using it in school?

Suzanne said...

Wanda, I just looked, I don't have it anymore. I cleaned out my Yahoo mail about a month ago, right before they FINALLY gave us unlimited space. I got rid of everything! Sorry.

ANYBODY STILL HAVE THE WAX EMAIL???? Send it to Wanda!

floralgirl said...

I think Sharon was the keeper of that email, wasn't she? Hello Suzanne and Wanda and Candy:) Hand is doing ok, Suzanne, still a lot of swelling around the knuckles which is keeping fingers from extending properly. Have to work on getting swelling down more. Therapy yesterday after school was very painful for her. On top of everything, got a lettr yesterday from the insurance company of the man's truck she hit. Of course, they want lots of money to repair his truck, and I'm not sure where I will get it. And we have no insurance to cover this, cause she was riding a bike.

Suzanne said...

Oh geesh, Megan. How in the world could she do such extensive damage to a truck when she was riding a bike? Might ask that guy, that!
Hope the swelling goes down soon. Do you put ice on her knuckles to help? Or does it even help? She was probably using her hand more yesterday in school, might be why therapy was painful. Sorry to hear she still has so much pain! Hope the swelling and pain go away very soon!!
Not sure who initially sent me that wax email, it was a long time ago. Could have been Sharon, just not sure.

Suzanne said...

Look at Squiggles all stretched out next to mom, touching mom's paw. Too cute. Finny still in nest, squaking at something.

Suzanne said...

Wanda and Jim, (when you arrive), I sent some Fin pics out yesterday, and I got a failed mail for both of you this morning. I didn't know I was having problems, but I sent the email to you again. Finny and his Dad... let me know if you get it, this time. Jim, I've had problems sending email to you before, but it always tells me it's an AOL server problem. Wanda, don't think I've ever had problems sending email to you! Didn't get a reason why email didn't go, just that it didn't in the time our server kept trying to send it.

floralgirl said...

Exactly, Suzanne, I was hoping I wouldn't hear from the guy, but I guess he does have the right to get his vehicle fixed. Which would be no big deal except it's a situation where no insurance will cover it. I'm trying to get the police report so I can see if anyone was faulted in the accident, if anyone was. Then I'm going to have to insist on seeing some proof of damage and estimates, I suppose. What a pain. Heat is what we use for reducing swelling now. Today we will try something new, her wounds are closed enough to soak it,very hot, then cold water, alternating for so many minutes. Hopefully this will help.

Good morning Eagle friends, I have some good news and a little sad too While you guys are enjoying the NCTC open house and getting to go to the sycamore tree, I will be visiting Lun Lun and our little Buta Buta at the Atlantic Zoo. If I had the choice, it would be the sycamore tree, but hubby has to be in Atlanta on the 20th, and I want to see the Atlanta Beauty. Have a blessed one. donna

Suzanne said...

Frieda's eggs are peeking out from under her chest! Well, dang, just as I typed that, either she moved or they moved the cam. Finny took off a little while ago, and Squiggles is still snuggling against Bai's paw. She's moving though, that cub is never still!

Mauley said...

Good morning Suzanne, Good Morning Megan, excuse my bad manners. donna

Suzanne said...

Morning, Mauley! Wow, sounds like you're going to have a good time with the little Atlanta Beauty! I'll bet she's adorable, lucky you. You'll have to take lots of pics.

floralgirl said...

Wow, it looks like a beautiful morning at the beach at Bonaire, sun is shining over the water. Wish I was sitting in one of those chairs watching the sun come up.

Suzanne said...

Oh, ok, I'm doing things backwards, Megan. So heat it is to reduce swelling. Anyway, hope it works today with going back and forth from hot to cold. And yeah, I'd want to see everything he is claiming that is damage due to a bicycle hitting his truck! Good grief, I can't imagine anything worse than scratches (from the bike), and maybe a small dent, certainly nothing more than that.

Mauley said...

Good Morning Wanda, good morning Candy, ahhhh just seeing the word wax is so nostalgic. A little bit sad, too. When our nesting season ended, it was just too hard for me to type wax. Sharon is the WAX queen, and I usually just sent mine to her. It seems that we have sent it everywhere, across the pond and you name it. donna

Suzanne said...

It is nice, now, Megan! It was cloudy earlier, thought they were going to get some heavy rain. Guess not.

floralgirl said...

Well Mauley, you will be missed, but you will certainly enjoy seeing that adorable baby panda:)

Suzanne said...

Mauley, do you still have that email? If you do, can you send it to Wanda? I don't have it any more.

Mauley said...

Suzanne,I got rid of everything just as you did right before we were home free on it. I bet Jo or Sharon have it, maybe Mits, I can hardly wait to see the little sweetheart but I rather be at the Sycamore tree. We still need rain. Heat advisories again today. Mauley Donna

Suzanne said...

Our Finny baby is back!

Suzanne said...

Mauley, we're going to miss you! Don't think we have heat advisories here, but it is supposed to get very hot and humid this weekend! Think they said last night 90 in my area on Sat!!! Then down to 87 on Sunday. Geesh!

floralgirl said...

Gonna be hot here today also, Mauley. It's very humid already. Tomorrow's heat index is 100°. Quite a shock after several days of cool temps.

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING MAULEY
I have another question for you. What was it that you tied your corn stalks with?

Suzanne said...

Bai is nursing, and cam still hasn't moved. Man, that operator is a heavy sleeper!

Suzanne said...

Oops, there she goes, down on her side, and still holding Squiggles to nurse.
Finny still hanging out in nest.

Suzanne said...

Well, finally! Cam guy woke up! Trying to zoom in on Squiggles, but it's so dark, can't really see the little cub.

Suzanne said...

Ahhh, just dawned on me...0600 their time... shift change for the cam operators. No wonder the guy woke up, his replacement probably woke him up to go home!!

Costume Lady said...

We need more light on SD pandas.
Finny looks as if he is waiting on a Mid-afternoon snack.

Just saw on TV pics of Squiggles being examined. Oh my, sooooo cute!
Don't know how they got him away from Mom long enough to do that without her having a heart attack. The lighting was so good, you could see every little hair on his body. Hope you all get to see it.

Suzanne said...

Oh, Wanda, where on TV? The news? I'll have to watch tonight. Mits sent me an email that he was examined, but haven't had time to go to the site and read what they said.
Our little porker Finny probably IS waiting for his delivery to arrive! Haven't seen him eat but once, today.

Costume Lady said...

SUZ--
Saw Squiggles on CBS channel 9 just a short while ago. He was not happy!

Suzanne said...

LOL, too funny! I went and read the update from the exam yesterday, and they said he let out a few loud squeeks, so I'll bet her wasn't. Hope it's on TV tonight or this afternoon someplace. Or maybe the TODAY show will have it tomorrow morning. I'll try to watch for it.

And then you can pick me up -- Oops!
I forgot - Sorry - Norma and I are busy that weekend!

Good morning everyone. You've all been a gabbing away for sure.

I finally feel like since mid June I actually now have a little more spare time on my hands...not lots mind you , but more than I have had in weeks, well actually months, as I invest a tremendous amount of time in the For the Love of Eagles BLOG while the Season is active...a Labor of Love , but it does keep me very busy.

For me too though it was hard to even continue after our loss. By then I felt I had a commitment to many other folks and nests already started and I chose to complete the Season and like all of you, missing not being able to add much about NCTC to the blog.

This coming season is gonna be WAY different.

Anyway Mema Jo yes got the picture of Freida's 3rd egg, but was on my Laptop then and did not have the directions for how to do the link handy.

I can't ever get it just from memory; If you put in an extra space or leave out something it doesn't work . It was bed time so I put up the picture, shared the info and went to bed.

We've got at least 3 cuties to watch again this year while we pass time waiting for our New Eagle Season.

I am gonna try to watch some of the cams from Penny's Cove today that I have been reading about. Hopefully I won't get stormed out and have to shut down the computer again....very bad weather here over several days....and as some of you already know.

I am all wet

Steve - Can you start us "It's a beautiful sunny day" thread, LOL.

MEGAN-Check your homeowners policy, it may cover at least some of the damages. And talk to the officer investigating to make sure what the guy says was damaged is what the officer saw damaged. He could have had another wreck by now. And make sure the officer lists your daughter as being at fault.

Did you here from him? Or his insurance company? I would be just a bit leery if it was him and not the company.

floralgirl said...

Sun is trying to brak thru the clouds here, boy is it muggy out! Hi JO and Paula!

paula eagleholic said...

Hey Megan- How's Peppe?

Did you check with your homeowner's insurance?

Mauley - you lucky girl, you! Take lots of pics for us!

I already sent the wax email to Wanda and Candy a couple of weeks ago.
