My husband is watching tv on his 64th birthday and my son has gone out for the night. Sooooooo I guess I got on for a minute.

Good morning, eagle world.Chilly again this morning, 63 at home, 71 here. Tried to make it down without turning on the heat, but didn't make it...it got to 58 on the way down, so heat had to come on. Wimp, that I am, can't stand cold.
Thanks for the new thread, Steven, not many comments, see it was added late, so good morning, you night owls! Who are now probably in bed.
Well, darn! Su Lin's cam is up in SD, and of course it's pitch black out there, it's the middle of the night. Guess we won't get to see Bai and Squiggles, hopefully maybe later! Finny is in nest, though, and the sun is out! Wow, they don't get much sun, so it's nice to see.
All have a great eagle/panda day.

Oh goodd grief, Finny has been grooming, then all of a suddent he went into squak mode, parent arrived, and he immediately started mantling. Parent left, and he's back in squak mode, but don't see any food. Ok, now he's just looking around, and down at his foot. Oh, yup, there it is, big ol' black fish! Guess he hid it when he was mantling. Now he's keeping an eye out, not eating yet. Well, he hard that too, there he goes. Oh awesome, wings out to help get a grip on the fish! Wow, that was awesome. Wonder if the fish is still alive when the parent delivers, and that's why he uses his wings to initially start eating. I thought they were helping him to balance till he got the meal started. Who knows. He's now eating.
He keeps looking around and watching, wonder if parent is flying around. In any case, he has his foot on that fish, and I'm guessing nothing is going to take it away from him!
Whatever it was, threat is gone and he's eating again.
Other Fin osprey cam is finally up again, quiet waters over there this morning, and osprey in nest.
Marina looks quiet too, but cam2 still down. Su Lin cam still dark, owl in hotel, and swallows still in nest. At least something is, don't know how many. Dark elsewhere. Didn't check Norma's storks this morning, figure they are long gone.
Oh my, Finny finished and gone...
2nd Fin cam is down again, nice pic on it, but not refreshing.

Finally! Cam on Bai and Squiggles! Bai is sleeping on her back, has her paws up by her nose, but can't see the little squiggly one.
Squiggles is getting a bath from Bai while he lays on mom's chest. Too cute. Ok, now it's feeding time. Bai sitting up to feed Squiggles.
Beautiful Finny is back.
Well, nursing didn't last long, Bai is laying down now. She just sorta falls over and goes back to sleep.

Ahhh, Bai was moving, and she had Squiggles held in her arm so cute. Then put her left hind foot up towards the cam, not sure what that was about, but now she's sitting up nursing. Too cute.

Squiggles is sound asleep on Bai's paws, actually still! So cute, you can see the black coming in now pretty good!

Bai and Squiggles are on the move. Well, Bai just moved, and now squiggles is doing what he does best...wiggling. But I read on their Archives, that Suzanne updates, that the wiggling is normal. She said:

Oh, parent just arrived in Fin nest, wings open wide, and Finny is mantling his wings way out! Selfish little thing!
Squiggles is squiggling. Bai has her right paw under her chin, and Squiggles is laying on mom's left paw, which she's using as a pillow. Too cute.

Morning, Wanda! And morning to the Capt too! Yup, like that degree sign you got there! I believe it is too cold for hanging out on the deck, unless you have sweatsuits on! Brrr. Actually had the heat on this morning. Went down to 58° coming down, then back up to 60, then down to 58 again. Second time it hit 58, heat went on! Not ready for these chilly mornings.
You're gonna have to blog about Bai and Squiggles, I lost my pic totally! Just tried it again, and still no pic. Bumemr!
Finny's still in nest, though.
Uh oh, think I'm losing all my internet connections! No pics are updating, and looks like I'm going to lose the entire connection here shortly. Keep getting page cannot be displayed error messages. So if I go, all have a great eagle/panda day. Hopefully, blog tomorrow. More hopefully, won't lose connection and can continue to blog, but it doesn't look hopeful!

Yesterday on CNN they showed some of the recently born PANDAS---One just looked like TAI---went out on this limb (which wouldn't hold a squirrel)---POW! down on the ground & back up the tree!!---TAI still does that ever now & then----I can't tell what's happening with the SWALLOWS!!!!

Just checked in on Pandas at National Zoo (haven't done that since Bai's Squiggles was born. It is a little dissapointing after watching SD with their cams telling us which panda we are viewing. Wondering just how our new Eagle Cam will work. Will it refresh every 10 or 30 seconds or be continuous like SD. I think I read that we will have sound. That sounds so exciting. Can't wait til Belle & Lib get in a family way again!

FINNY has been spending a lot of time in his nest. Maybe he now realizes "There's No Place Like Home".
Swallow babes are old enough now to fledge, but seem satisfied to stay put for now. They are so pretty. Wonder what will nest in there next time. I guess it is too late this season. We have a lot to look forward next Spring.
Don't they have the prettiest faces, Wanda? Think they are so cute! Gonna miss all these babies when they leave. Sure glad we have Squiggles!!

So good to see you on here. Just something missing from our day without word from you. Glad your Surgeon is pleased with your progress. Does he know he had our help when he operated on you? It sure was a tense day for us all. If you go back and read the comments from that day, you will know what I mean. (You probably already have read it). Anne-Marie gave you a Super Memento of that day. She is really special to have taken the time to do that. But then, you are really special too and that is why she did it. Bless her heart and yours too.
We just might do that Jill. We could bring the Eagle Express and sell Eagle Talons. lol
Wanda, my surgeon is someone I see in Church regularly with his young family. He mentioned to hubby & all the kids who were waiting for him and his report after surgery that "This is what I have to look forward to - family". God couldn't have picked a better surgeon for me.
HUMMM Wanda-Alcohol and Bikers, think that will get us kicked out of the park quick? LOL. Although hiding in the Eagle Express isn't such a bad idea. LOL.
Does the Capt. know anything about setting up car shows???????? We are going to do that in the Spring.

The swallows are growing, growing, growing...wonder how much warning you get with this variety that they are going to fledge.
The Pandas are sleeping, sleeping, sleeping...must be good for the baby, which looks bigger by the minute and is growing that great contrasty fur, so you can see it easier.

Stopped in to see if we still are starting with 2 Kindergarten classes and we are. :( Oh well, we'll have to use the first month at least to keep them all together and on task, if we can do a task.

Thank you JO. Does your grandson skate in Frederick? The boys love to go there but don't get there very often because of the distance but it is the closest to us. They probably know each other, wouldn't that be funny.
He is from the Catonsvile area - When he visits in Frederick he goes over. Sometimes goes into Columbia. Depends where Mom will take him.

yes I have been to the charm city skatepark...but do not recommend it.Even with its fame and name,it is hands down the most crowded.If your friend is looking for a good park,I recommend
Lansdowne skatepark and/or Colombia skate park.The columbia skatepark is in a shopping center.

But I am making progress. Alas the installers can't get the floors in for at least 3 weeks so all in all it gives me time to paint and get rid of the rest of the junk my ex left here, also get the rest f the crpets out.
Tori misses not being home and misses her kitties, izzy, yoda aka bubbie and chewie, but I promised her they are doing well and happy but miss her dearly :( we all do.

Jill I have no problem waiting. One of my favorite customers (when I bartended) helped me out finding good yet inexpensive floors he sent me to the contractors place so I get the floor and intallation at a fraction of the price.
My living room is done and I am now in the kitchen after that I will finish the foyer and hit the last 2 bedrooms to remove the carpet, paint then after floors are installed get Tori's room done. The I will set up a hangout room for her in the basement for when she has friends over.

Good morning, eagle world. Nice out tonight, warm again. 74° at home, 78°here at work. Also had my locust and crickets seranade coming down, so it's gonna be warm. Missed them last couple of days, it's been too chilly to have windows open, and didn't hear them much anyway.
Yeah, we have Bai and Squiggles on cam! But Bai is sleeping on her side, and can't see the little one at all. Finny was in the nest, but he just took off. World is good!

Ahhh, Squiggles was under Bai's arm, and she wiggled out, and mom got her and hugged her and is now giving her a bath. So cute, and so gentle! You can really see the dark coming in! She's such a cutie. (I say she, have no idea, but not gonna call her an it.)

Bai just moved Squiggles up under her chin and is holding her. Such a cutie!
Bai rolled over and up with Squiggles, nursing time.
Oh, Bai has actually turned around to the cam, and you can see squiggles nursing. Yeah, our fav cam opoerator is very close! You can really see the black coming in, even her hind legs. Awwwwww, so cute.
Squiggles is nursing and Bai is snuggling her.
Awww, Mom is washing Squiggles now, but Squiggles is still nursing. Oh, no, she's squiggling! Likes the nursing part, but the bath part has gotta go! Her little hind legs were just a going! Guess Bai thought it would be a good time to give her a stimulation bath at the same time she's nursing. Uh oh, Bai is washing her again, but she's not letting go! Hungry little thing. Aw, now Bai is holding her in her paws and washing her...no, just one paw, but still washing. Man sheis so gentle! Those huge paws holding that little baby, it's just awesome to see!
Ok, the one o'clock in the morning feeding is over, Bai is almost laying down, has Squiggles under her. Yup, she just rearranged Squiggles, now Bai's getting comfy for another long nap session.
Bai and Squiggles are awake again. Bai is hugging her. No, make that giving her a butt bath... Bai looks like she's eating the little thing when she does that! too funny. Maybe after that it will be time to eat again, after all, it's been 2 hours!
LOL, no all that wiggling while bathing made mom tired again. Think she's gonna go back to sleep. She has Squiggles under her paw and up by her chin.
Finny has returned. Squaking, so probably calling mom for something to eat. Bai and Squiggles are sleeping, Squiggles is on Bai's left arm, her head under Bai's chin. Bai has her right arm around her, holding her in place. Too cute.

Ah, they turned the cam, you can see little sweetie nursing! And Bai giving her a bath at the same time again!

Hi Megan, sorry I missed you. Was on the other computer, came to a stopping place, and thought I'd check Bai. Cam was VERY up close and personal, but he's pulled back now. Oh, there he goes zooming in again.
Good luck to your daughter in Physical Therapy. I'm sure that's painful, but it does help. Is she getting to feel more comfortable with her hand now? Not so much pain, I hope.

Morning, Wanda! I didn't even know it was supposed to rain today, till I read the blogs from yesterday. What a surprise. Don't think it's raining here yet, was out about an hour ago, and the sun was out. But yeah, nice morning for coffee on the deck. I hope Megan gets some of the rain, too! Me too, now that you mention it, but at my house, not particularily down here.

Thanks, Jill. The landscapers are watering outside here now, but I'm glad I'm going to get it at home! Means I won't have to water tonight, but also means the bird seed will be all wet all day. It may be wet, but somehow they manage.

When I was little I used to go to Grafton with my dad and we would take stuff back and forth for Mrs. Van Meter to her mother, one day, I took the stuff down to her and Don Knotts answered the door. And one of our officers is related to him too.

Well, good morning again. Really poured on the way to Hagerstown this am, got just over 1/4 " here. Tahnks for all the well wishes for daughter, she left therapy smiling this am, very painful as they are making her stretch the tendons on the back of hand that have tightened up, BUT she held a pen and wrote her name with the hand for the first time since the accident. That was a biggie for her, she is finally starting to see some improvement in the hand. Still a long way to go, but any improvement is very encouraging for her. Physical therapist would not give the ok for swimming in a pool Sat. at friend's party, had to call surgeon to see if he will ok it , one incision is still not closed completely. I have my doubts. She is handling that disapointment like a trooper.
Norma, Elvis' death anniversary has been on the news, yup, doesn't seem possible, does it? 30 years? Wow, and he's still the king!
Jill, SD cam logo started showing this morning at 8:20, and pic has not returned all day. I just hope the guy that did all that ZOOMING didn't break the cam, but none of them have been on.

Great news Megan - She must be doing very well - Determined like her mother!
I tried to catch up with you yesterday, Suzanne but my comment came right after you signed off!
Determined, well hubby says stubborn.LOL..She's feeling frustrated, but is smart enought to listen to what the therapist tells her, whether or not her hand works again is up to her. The more she uses it and works the fingers the sooner she gets use of her hand back. Today was the first day she showed excitemnt at how much she could move it.
