Paula, that had a good time and have asked to return again next year...look at SD right now, cub is eating and mom is sleeping. Mom is 16 years old so I guess she needs her rest.

HEY MITS, PAULA AND WANDA! Just finished eating leftovers from last night's dinner.
Wanda. I am looking at the swallow nest right now. Are you getting it yet?
MITS, have you seen the new panda cub yet? I just looked in and mama is sleeping away with baby under her, I guess.
Mama Panda just moved, but I still didn't get to see the cub. It must be nnuggled close to her body. :)
I can see 3 babes in the swallow nest.
What did Albert have for supper? One of them had bird for lunch!

Temp is down to 83° now, feels much better outside.
PAULA Nuggled is the Kindergarten spelling for snuggled. :) What can I say.
Finally got a glimpse of the cublet!
It was very hot and humid at the Outer Banks today. My friend from Richmond pooped out after 2 hours in the sun. :):) I got tuckered out from sitting out there, I came home and promptly fell asleep. :(

I just feel so wonderful to know that JO is finally in her own home at last. That has just got to lift her spirits greatly and help her to a speedy recovery.
I still can't get Mrs. Swallow, my screen is black. Finland is also black, but it may be time for darkness there.
It sure doesn't look like much nest left at Kent. One day, we'll hear a big woosh and it will all slide down the tree. :) It doesn't look like two juvies could get on it at the same time now.
With all the excitement about Jo this week, I have'nt been watching the swallows very much and have lost track of when they will be ready to fledge. I can't even remember when they hatched.
JO....YOU HAVE TO GET BACK ON HERE AND STRAIGHTEN US OUT!!!

Candy, panda cubs are born hairless and blind, in about 10 days it will start getting the black and white markings of a panda.
Candy - I think they are kinda nekkid when they are born...
They are flipping between Mei and Su now at SD - they are both eating dinner - yummy bamboo.
They grow a ton of bamboo there on the zoo grounds for the pandas - It is everywhere.
Thanks MITS AND PAULA for the heads up on this. This is my first experience at this. Bai Yun seems very calm and loving.
Those swallow chicks have sure grown fast lately. I hope they make it out of this nest and nothing happens. they have such big wide mouths for such tiny birds. :) (The better to eat you with, my dear!) :)
Those panda names can get kind of confusing, Mei Sheng is a male and Mei Lin is a female..
YES PAULA I was kind of thinking that it must be dinnertime as two pandas were really going at the bamboo. They act like they haven't eaten in a week. :)
From behind Su Lin kinda looks like Shrek...yep, Paula, they are nekid, that's why mom holds them so close to keep them warm.

Beautiful sunrise in Finland overlooking the boats.
Peeked in on the panda cam in SD but they are showing su lin. I remember when Tai was born , couldn't seem to get enough of him as a baby.
Hope everyone is enjoying their evening it sure was and still HOT here in florida 90 degrees and of course humid, might be a good evening to do some night swimming or just stay inside where it is cool

Tori is doing good Mits breathing is better so it seems our tiels may be the culprit sad as it may be. We dd find a good home in Winchester so I can visit themonce in a while, they will be leaving tomorrow it would break my heart to watch them go.
Tori may be staying in florida till November, my brother isn't being cooperative. Mom and dad are happy as is Tori but she misses her kitties.
Candy I love to go swimming at night when all the children are asleep, peace and quiet lol.

I saw the cub, little tiny thing. I tried to get a recording but it wont work, sorry all. He/she was resting against mom she even cleaned him but the he/she disappeared I guess into a warmer spot.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING ALL I knew I should have gone to mass last night, just too lazy. Don't worry Robyn, you will be able to see the little cub more everyday as it starts to grow, and San Deigo's Zoo site will provide good videos and explanations, so sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. As long as you can get onto their site, you don't need to do pics or videos.
