I saw you was in Suzanne but I started setting up my cams.
See BW eagle is stuck; well Lisa will have that fixed. She as me yesterday to let her know if it is stuck for more than a few minutes.
Of course I sent and probably others have an email telling her. She said she wanted to know might be a bigger issue.
About 6 inches of snow here and dusting over that last night.
Megan I checked out albums this morning in Eaglet_Momster. I like your pics.
What is everyones thoughts about the time moving forward. With our computers??

I sent Steven an email last night telling him that I wish fws would take one more look at all their servers,but that I'm done bothering him with this issue. I realize he has more important things to deal with. I give up trying to figure it out.

Well, I went to control panel then clicked on date and time icon, then time zone and unchecked adjust clock for daylight savings changes, and I will change the time myself Sat. night.

Couldn't open a fws site if I wanted to, Suzanne. And after 3 hrs on the phone with ISP help line, I just give up. They say it isn't their problem, fws says it's not them.
That is a good thought about the clocks Megan. Unchecking the automatic for daylight savings time. Change your time manually. I'll give that a try too. Thank you for the tip. Hope it works for both of us.
I too gave up on the 30 sec. refresh cam for our site Megan.
All that time and days spent trying to get a fix. Just did me in. So hopefully we will have "live feed" Lord I hope so. Otherwise no one will be seeing my tears.
I think we have an egg at Maine and maybe just now her calling and looking maybe we have 2.???? Not sure.
I did see one egg this morning when NE did the turning. Can't say could be another couldn't see well.
Well, that is a great solution for anyone who doesn't have dial up, althought the live feed isn't always up. But live feed doesn't work real well with dial up. So that makes me SOL.

Sharon I know when Ed was in for Open Heart Surgery. Our doggie missed him too. He wouldn't eat. Looked for him all the time. Whimpered alot. So I am sure both your Mom and doggie will love to see each other. How much longer will you Mom be there?

Mom will probably be at HealthSouth for another week or so. She is getting really depressed though and really wanting to come home so I don't know how long I can leave her there like that. More will be revealed!

SCHOOLS are still closed---at least 7 inches---here---& a "wee bit" cold---So happy to have live feed again---One can hardly see our eagle---(doesn't it appear--there are foot prints in the nest) ho! ho!

Yes it is "very nice" having live feed up. Only way I get to see Belle and Liberty on a cam. Do get pics but you know want to see a cam. I feel so badly for Megan being on dial-up she can't get the "live feed" and of course with the other problem no one can figure out she can't get the 30 sec refresh. Meaning she doesn't get either cam. :(
DANA---I heard on CNN yesterday that if your computer is 5 yrs. or less---Everything will be fine---NO PROBLEM!!!
SHARON---That DOG will do your MOM more GOOD than any medicine---She will be so happy---They have been doing surveys--Re: "Pets in Nursing Homes"---Any kind of pet really helps patients in nursing homes----She will be so VERY HAPPY!-----Prayers for you folks!

News from IWS:
As it turned out, all five of the West End eggs were fertile. This is the first time that both females have laid fertile eggs. We now have nine fertile eggs and monitor them daily.
DANA----- KATEAZ told us yesterday early in the blog----It was shown in the pix & MITS & I saw them!--So I would guess yesterday!!

I was just wondering if live feed was working down at NCTC for them. When the eggs were laid. Wonder what the dates are for the first two that was laid???

Well I checked in quickly to say Hi and see "Our Family"...go the HI form AZ done, but alas like the rest of you, no glimpe at all of the family. Someone sent pictures of the snow yesterday though..so I know they get to deal with more crummy weather. Enjoy your week and the eagles, eaglets and eggs youdo get to see. Busy with the cutest little kid ya ever wanted to see so I shall be having another busy and fun someitmes very funny day.

That article that Paula, sent out was really good, and had a very valid point about the weather aspect...look at all the eagles in Alaska....WVA is mild compared to their climate.
HAD TO LOOK IN ON BUTA BUTA!---Same story everyday now---LUN LUN is demanding that the LITTLE BEAUTY get down in that hammock with her---But BUTA always outsmarts her---darts far enough away that MOM can't get a bite of her!---SHE IS GOOD!!!

You may have some trouble accessing the Live Feed in Me because
Now that it warmed up I have zoomed in a bit. It is hard to connect to the live stream right now because of the number of people trying to connect. We have over 1 million request this morning! Tomorrow we will be creating a new live stream in the afternoon which should make for a better image and make it easier for more people to connect.

Maybe if you go over to the ME Cam Eagle Blog you can copy it and then it will work for you. Mine comes up but as Wing says, the windows media player may not work.
I know what you saying about the Real Player - our live feed is the RealPlayer & I have not found a way to put up 2 RealPlayers at one time.

The nctc web page came up for me awhile ago and the 30 sec cam.. Live feed is down unlike yesterday i could get it and not the 30 sec... Now i really do feel like the twilight zone!!!!! Called Dana and sent her the link i used which is the new web page for NCTC with the eagle... MTBR Off to pick up Rosa and go shopping...
Now how wonderful is that...a Momster called me and said that they tried the NCTC home page and right up it came with 30 sec cam.

JO, THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP The videos of Dr. Sharpe, left me breatheless and in awe of what they do to keep "our national symbol" thriving. I'm so glad they are people like him that is a friend to the eagles....hope they are paying him big bucks and glad he likes to share with all of us:).

Cam 3 has been down for awhile.
Wouldn't have mattered, Mits, every link I tried gave me the same result. Something changed today, exactly one week after the problems started. Who knows. Just glad to be able to see my favorite eagle sitting in the sun:)
Eagle gone at KENT...Finally got live video up at MAINE, but with all the hits it keeps stopping and starting. At least we know they are trying to improve the situation

Don't know if you use old url if the
WMP is still active - I would think so.
Paula Using the new URL for ME I was able to also open WMP like normal. Took awhile but it did open.

Last one was Laid on February 12, the other 2 were laid by Feb 9th. NOt sure of exact date, because cam was down.

Robins are really pretty hardy birds. They are always around for the last couple of snows.
Think that plant was a salvia, Dana. Have to ask Jo what kind. Gotta run, have to work for a few hours this morning. Did someone mention Spring?! Finally almost here. Got a big box of seeds yesterday, like opening a Xmas present for me:) Have a great weekend, Suzanne. Later
I see a robin or hear someone speak of them. Makes me remember 6 yrs. ago at other house. Bunch of robins was attacking another robin. Of course I had to stick my nose in. Chased them off, caught the one. It was his ankle to leg. It wasn't out straight. I cut thinly two pieces of popsciles stick. Straighted it and put the gauze that sticks on to hold it (sticky gauze was from when doggie hurt paw). Oh yes and it was bright blue lol. I fed that robin pieces of worm until I got it eating on its own. Everyday I would take it out to the grassy area with hamper basket over top of him so he could eat and move around on leg. Whenever I checked the leg I knew it was deformed. One day he and the blue sticky gauze flew out from under the basket. He landed on the fence. I said God he is now in your hands.
I always knew that robin cause of the blue gauze. He did very well. Mixed in with other robins. Seem like he would always at some time during the day come around and let me know he was ok. Oh did I tell you I called him "can do". Why because I use to say to him. Come on you "can do it". He did.

What I don't understand is it looks like the 30 sec refresh cam was better during the 2005-2006 season.
Do you all agree with that?
Absolutely and positively, it was better last year. What did they buy with the money that was raised for them? I know they must see the other cams. I sure would be embarassed to have my name on BEAKSPEAK as a cam for the Bald Eagle. The other cams have problems sometimes but at least their is communication about what is going on with them....no matter that we ask about the situation, we get NO RESPONSE....IF IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK FOR THIS SEASON LET US KNOW! Thank God for all the other wonderful and interesting eagle cams, but this is the one that got me hooked and the promises at the end of last season, have not been fulfilled...JMHO!
