Part 2

Which one is visiting?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Maybe we will use this one when the other gets overloaded.

glo said...

Ok I leave for 1 minute and sibling shows up...What's with that LOL Off to try to load new page. And for what its worth size tells me it is smaller than last night's visitor. I think it really could be big Boy.

glo said...

My opinion is that the returnee is the male, the oldest one in age and yes smaller than Ms In Between.

..which could be some of our sense of confusion or lack of agreement about who is who at times oon here. JMHO

9:35am I find that if you want to blog - click on the previous posts' date instead of the Comments under the current picture. Now let's see if this will publish. DARN!!!! I just missed a take off..........

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Who left? Was it Spunky or the other one?

glo said...

Is any one here.

Mema Jo said...

9:58am I am trying to be here. Comments won't publish for me. I'll try again just to let you know you are not alone! How about the 2 of them lying there side by side taking a rest. Beautiful sibling sight!

glo said...

Yes I took a picture of that one

Mema Jo said...

10:05am Sharon & Paula are commenting on the previous date.

Anonymous said...

WE ARE OUT HERE, JUST CAN'T GET ONTO BLOG-SITE ALOT OF THE TIMES, SO I JUST SIT BACK AND WATCH THE EAGLES.

glo said...

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

We need to make a decision about where we are going to blog!

paula eagleholic said...

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

glo said...

Sharon You must be having such a hard time today...much harder than the first day...Haven't got a clue how you can work and do this too. I have to go get some groceries in a few. Hopefully nothing too big happens OR you all will take pistures and send them my way with info . sigh

Just Vicky said...

glo said...

OK so we are staying here as long as it works OK right,

Mema Jo said...

10:18am I say comment on this Part 2 - it seems to be working smoothly now. I am not going back to the previous & get stuck loading a page again. I just hope everyone sees the count & knows where we are coming from!! What a morning! It's all been technical frustration........... Don't forget there is always email if we need it to communicate.

paula eagleholic said...

Done, Vicky, your invite should be arriving shortly.

glo said...

Yes it has been frustrating and we really don't know which two are in the nest right now. I think its Spunky and Big Boy, but I surely don't know that !!!

glo said...

OK I'm off to the grocery. Hope if anything exciting happens the camera is working and someone gets a snap of it!!

Harbinger said...

I found the Yahoo group and joined. Thanks!!!

Aren't they just so sweet cuddling?

Harbinger said...

Or..weren't they sweet?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I have been trying to get some work done while they were resting. Looks like they are up again!!

Harbinger said...

Was that just a food delivery?

Harbinger said...

I thought we had a life off there!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Spunky is back at the launching pad!

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like Big Boy is eating some brunch

paula eagleholic said...

Thank God, Spunky is back at rest, looked like he was going to take off for a minute there...

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Okay, has anybody compared the pictures from last night, this morning and now to see if both have returned. I know somebody has got to be doing that. I would be if I wasn't trying to work. Glad things are pretty quiet right now so I can.

Mema Jo said...

11:00am I suggest that Spunky will have one more night in the nest - I am concerned, like Jim, that there are too many little white feathers under those wings - Needs another day for those flight feathers to grow. Could be wrong.....

paula eagleholic said...

Well, folks...I am outta here for awhile...need to go throw the ball for the dogs, tend to the garden, and check on Mama Bird ( a robin that is nesting in the yard)

Keep the comments coming!

Mema Jo said...

11:11am Look at that! Both adults in the nest

Anonymous said...

Look now both parents are in the nest feeding the two eaglets. I wish the third would show up.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Both parents in the nest. That is cool.

paula eagleholic said...

Wow, what a treat! Was about to log off and caught a pic of Mom and Dad bring in some brunch..looks like Dad is now gone, but Mom has stayed on to feed...

Anonymous said...

Has anyone been to the Falcon site? They had their first fledge yesterday. Fledge Watch doesn't start until tomorrow!

Mema Jo said...

11:19am Sunny - it's been too exciting on this site for me to leave. I thought about the falcons - but was too late last evening to see anything. I thought you were out on the toe-path today????

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Was the falcon fledge successful or do they know?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

My, my, what is that laying in the nest? Looks pretty big!

Anonymous said...

I pulled something in my neck yesterday, and I can barely move today. No bike riding for me.

THey think the falcon is on a parking garage roof nearby. Safe and sound, hopefully. Someone is going to check on it today.

Happy to see 'our' visitor is hanging around today!

Harbinger said...

It looks like our visitor is about the same size as Spunky. I think that would make it Big Boy.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Sorry about your neck Sunny.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I was just thinking that too, that it is BigBoy. If that is true and last night's was really InBetween, then that would make both fledges absolutely successful. Wonderful!! I'll take it!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Okay, now which one is Spunky?

Mema Jo said...

11:53am My Guess: Spunky is lying down - his white feathers are showing.BigBoy is on the side at 1:00 probably ready to take off shortly.

Mema Jo said...

11:58am What is or was that gross thing they were trying to eat???

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Mom is hanging out for a while again. And, I don't think I want to know what that gross thing was they were trying to eat.

Mema Jo said...

12:11pm Mom/Dad took off. No one followed.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Picture is looking pretty funky again. With all the wings out a minute ago, I would have sworn there were 3 eaglets in the nest but I guess it was just 2 sets of very big wings!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Is he gone or at the base of the tree? Which one is perching? I am so confused.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Nothing, got my answer about being gone. But I am still confused.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
glo said...

I'm back.. trying to watch and maybe get a bLOG or two published, we'll see. I do think we are watching Big Boy and Spunky today. JMHO

Geula said...

hi! I think it's 12:48 pm eaglet time and there's been a sib there for quiite a while...

Geula said...

Okay, I give up......what time is it in eaglet land......am I condused or what!

glo said...

Hi Geula saw your name on yahoo group last night what time is it where you are now?

glo said...

I think you are right about the time It is almost 1 pm where the eagles are

glo said...

OK They've sacked out Everbody go get "something done" LOL

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Yes - like work!!

Geula said...

OY! I'm SO confused I can't even spell!

movin said...

Both younguns are taking a nap side-by-side, and it is apparent they are roughly the same size. So, they are probably the two males (#'s 2 & 3).

I wonder if either one of them will leave the nest today...the returnee looks really tired and hungry so far, which makes me think he was separated from #1 by a good distance and wasn't being fed too often.

Jim

glo said...

One eaglet to the other

"It is so nice to be home"

"It is so nice to have you here"

:-)

Geula said...

awwwww, theyre lying side by side.....how cute!

Mema Jo said...

1:03pm daylight savings time-east coast: Geula: when you post a comment & look at the time of posting, you need to add on 3 hours to get the correct time in eagleland... Hope that helps. Some of us, when making a comment, will state the actual time at the beginning. What time zone are you living in?

glo said...

gr-r-r-r oooppss sorry that Dexter snuck back up to the keyboard again. Gonna have to start watching the dog instead of the eaglets.

glo said...

"So Bro, Do you suppose any of these people have a job, or a life? They've been sittin there for days now"!!!

"Beat me I know we certainly have to wrok hard and can't just sit around ....flappin our....well you know whatever".

glo said...

Ok I think I can actually hear someone snoring!!!

Geula said...

hmmmmm, let's see...I'm 1 hour ahead of Holland, so maybe I'm 3 hours ahead of GMT? Gee you ask HARD questions! LOL!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I am thinking this one that has returned is saying "wait a minute, I ain't going out there anymore. I have my nice comfortable bed here, food catered to me, why would I possibly want to leave here again".

To answer one of them, I do have a job but not for long if you guys stay in that nest much longer. LOL.

movin said...

OK, Geula,
It's about 10.20 a.m. Pacific Time, and 1:20 p.m. Eastern Time in the U.S. now.

What time do you have at home?

Jim (in California)

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Okay, maybe not. Looks like he is getting ready to be outtahere again.

movin said...

Model "B" is doing his flight exercizes again and then roosting on the take off bar, so..........

Jim

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Oh man, work was going so much better while they were sleeping!!

Mema Jo said...

1:32pm Guess it was decided to stay with the nap - no need to hurry off & maybe they'll bring in some free food!

movin said...

It's gotta be easier for the parent birds to feed young in two sites than in 3 sites, and the youngest seems to appreciate the company.

But it looks like the older one is hogging the majority of the food again, and it's harder to find flight practice space now.

Also, there's less motivation now for the last one to take that flight to be with the rest of the family.

So far the parent eagles have been able to care for 3 eaglets, let's hope Mother Nature shows them how to continue to feed and train so many....

Jim

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

It is truly a rough life, but some eaglets have to live it!!

movin said...

What do you think about giving the eaglets names to distinguish them??

Like "Adelle," "Benson" and "Charles."

Just an idea....

Jim

glo said...

Gr-r-r-r-r Dexter..quit that!!

OK Think its time for a little dog nap here. I'll be back in a couple of hours. pictures please please if anything exciting happens. Thaks so much

NillaWafer said...

Hey Gang, Checking in and see that Spunky still has company. They are laying down resting. The weather is beautiful skies are clear and slight wind here in WV. I really thought for sure Spunky would be gone, but glad he isnt for now. Jo please send me your phone number in e-mail as i cant find it .. I am at the store and will be here for alittle while doing computor work. The falcon's in Harrisburg, 1 did fledge, you can go to there web site and see pictures as he was on a garage close by setting. More later ,Nilla

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Jim, I am so used to their names that had been given previously that I don't know if I could do new names -- i.e. BigBOY, MS. InBetween and Spunky!!

Just Vicky said...

Ditto here, pictures please!! Have to leave again.
bvconnell@sbcglobal.net

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

2:13 p.m. Parent back with more food I think.

paula eagleholic said...

Nice to see that Spunky has had company today...looks like Big Boy is ravished!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

You know how kids are, think they are ready for the great big world and then coming running back home for rest and food!!

Anonymous said...

I'm glad Spunky has company today too. And several parent visits too! The Yahoo group is set up and functioning. Paula has even put in 'links' to the various webcame sites, Glo's blog, and other information of interest! Members can post to the group and everyone gets the message. If you can't find the group, you can e-mail to Paula at the addy she posted or e-mail me at princess_aurora28@yahoo.com and we'll send you an invite.

As for the fledglings coming home and getting a good meal: the parents will be training them on hunting and fishing for 4-6 weeks. It's no wonder in their first week that they aren't too good at it yet! Won't it be great after they are all flying if one comes home and brings food to share?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Barbara, that would be too awesome, to feed their siblings. Does that ever happen? That would be a spiritual experience for me for sure!!

Anonymous said...

Holy cow! it's really quiet in here.

Anonymous said...

So can anyone tell me what happened, i haven't been around much, a sibling came back? and then was gone in the morning from what i gather, and then came back again??? are we sure it's the SAME sibling or perhaps a different one? and if it's the same one has there been sightings of the third, becuase i have to admit, only seeing one and not the other at all is midly disconcerning.

Update?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Anonymous, we think the sibling there last night was Ms. InBetween the one in the nest all day today has been BigBoy.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I just want to tell these children that I am grateful for a quiet afternoon. I am actually getting off work on time today!! Yeah rah!!

Anonymous said...

I have been watching this whole process from the beginning. It would be good to have some expert info on who came back and perhaps why. Have noticed that spunky seems less active today since his sib is back. That could be good or bad. I think the sib who is back may not have gotten that far; maybe just below the nest since spunky was always looking down. Anyhow what a great experience to share with fellow eagle watchers. First time I have written, but it feels like I know many of you through your comments.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

4:30 P.M. IS THAT ALL THREE I SEE IN THE NEST RIGHT NOW?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

All three eaglets are in the nest right now!! Thank God, Praise the Lord!!!

Anonymous said...

All the eaglets are there now.

glo said...

LOL I'm with you on the one Sharon. For some a hope a wish or an answered prayer!!!

glo said...

Good time to see sizes up close once again. This is so very neat!!! Spunky knew this all along you know lOL

Anonymous said...

Quick!! Somebody save some photos!!! We are sure now that both BigBoy and Ms InBetween are safe and healthy!!! And to whomever just asked -- no, Spunky has not fledged yet.

Mema Jo said...

4:38pm DO YOU BELIEVE IT ???
All of our three grown babies' reunion! Now who is who - you surely can tell from this setting. HAPPY! HAPPY! We kept the FAITH.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Look how nasty that picture is again. We are back at square 1 again. I have to go out for a while. Keep a close "eagle" eye on them and post the happenings, as I know you will.

Mema Jo said...

4:46pm Just sent the pic out to many of you - anyone I didn't include, email me at jo_lennox@hotmail.com & I will forward the pic of all 3 in the nest.

Nancy K. said...

OMG!!! I never thought I'd see the three of them together again! This is also an excellent indiction that the two who have fledged are perfecting their flying skills. It's got to take quite a bit of precision to be able to navagate up and through the branches to land on the nest. How I wish there was a video of the RETURN!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Jo, if you will look, I sent you one first, hah hah! Wonderful, wonderful. Now I don't want to leave but have to!

Anonymous said...

Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! All are alive and well!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Jo, for the notice. I was reading e-mails, and might not have noticed.

Mema Jo said...

4:54pm Yep! Your fingers are just like Glo's - Too fast for this ole' gal. Thanks for the pic! I have an entire folder just for Spunky......

Mema Jo said...

5:03pm Be great if Mom/Dad would bring in dinner. Like Jim said - easier to feed them all in one spot. The adults probably sent them back to the nest to get some rest! Looks like Spunky is saying , 'ok, you two - watch me - is this what I have to do to get out of here tomorrow ? '

Anonymous said...

All 3 are back in the nest

Just Vicky said...

This is truly amazing, all 3 again!!! Who would have thought we'd get to see this!

paula eagleholic said...

What a great set of eagle parents we have here, two successful fledges. I can't believe all 3 are in the nest....would be really neat if both parents arrived, too.

I think we will be seeing many more successful breeding seasons from this pair.

paula eagleholic said...

Ok from top to bottom - Spunky, Inbetween, and Big Boy 5:17 pm

paula eagleholic said...

Now Spunky at 1, Big boy at 4, Ms Inbewtween at 9 5:19pm

movin said...

AWESOME!!!!
Well, "Fun Facts" did say they usually return to the nest or to limbs of the nest tree...should make it a lot easier for the parents to locate them for feeding and training.

One downside, the youngest one really isn't aggressive enough grabbing food for himself yet, and he really needs room for his prefledging exercises. Maybe it would be better if the fledglings didn't spend all their time in the nest now.

Jim

paula eagleholic said...

I think there is only 2 in the nest now

movin said...

Yeah, the Big Gal flew back the way she flew the first time (follow the eyes of the other two), and it looked like Mr. Inbetween was about to follow.

He's flaked out in the nest again though, so he probably 'ain't goin nowhere.'

Jim

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like Ms Inbetween is hanging out with Lil Bro' Spunky

paula eagleholic said...

Parent just popped in and out real quick, may have brought dinner...looks like Ms Inbetween is eating...

Anonymous said...

Looks like spunky is doing some wing stregnth training.

paula eagleholic said...

Big Boy is back, all 3 again 5:56pm

paula eagleholic said...

Anonymous, I thought for sure Spunky was outta here, he was hovering over the nest!

paula eagleholic said...

You are absolutely right, Iris.

What an awe-inspiring, humbling ride it has been - being able to watch Mother Nature at her finest.

I certainly feel privileged to have been able to see it all.

Mema Jo said...

6:17pm I looked earlier & saw 3 resting by the pole - but everywhere else was empty. They said one fledged & landed on another roof or something & someone is going to check it out...One of our Eaglet-momsters knows more then I do - but I would need to read back in the remarks to tell you just who it is.

movin said...

I visited the Peregrines in Harrisburg a while ago, and managed to see 4 chicks, but that's the first time lately.

Many look almost like the adults now.

Jim

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

6:41 p.m. Just popping in and out real quick. Just see 2 babies now but how wonderful it is that we know all three are okay. Keep up the good notes! Be back around 8:30 or 9.

8:34pm How can one little eaglet make for such big heart failures. If Spunky doesn't soon tire out & settle down - I'm going to have to go out on the deck for a breather. Spunky is so getting ready for the big day. Looks so determined! That's why the name Spunky!! I just wish I knew which launch pad is going to be used.

Anonymous said...

I am really hopeful we will have live feed before Spunky goes. If we do, me and Fraps will be ready!!

I am officially a member of eaglet_momsters!! Yeah. I needed something else to do besides work! LOL.

What a joy it has been today to see all our babies doing well. I am really grateful for that.

Going to bed now. Will be on at least by 6:30 in the morning with a watchful eagle eye. Hope nothing happens before then!! Good night all.

I am just grateful I work from home but don't know how much I will get done. Can't quit watching Spunky. There is no doubt my production will greatly improve once he fledges too!

Anonymous said...

live cam is up!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Looks like Spunky just got breakfast served. Do they think he is not ready yet? Another baby back too!! They are definitely following the food. Looks like BigBoy and he already has the fish. He needs to let Spunky eat a little bit!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Live cam really is up!!! Yeah rah!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Suzanne, I think it is BigBoy too. He followed the food in! They ain't stupid for sure. Or, maybe he brought the food in. Probably not because a parent came at the same time. The live feed picture has lines going all through it but I am grateful to have anything of it this morning.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Thanks to whoever got our live feed up and running this morning.

I have Fraps ready and waiting for the big moment. Is there anything that can be done to clear up the picture a little bit. I know, I know, never happy. Thanks again for the live feed.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

BigBoy needs to share that food. Spunky needs all the energy and growth he can get. He should just take charge and go get some!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

All three in the nest again. I am saving this little snippet on Fraps for sure. The filmed return of the 2 fledges!! Yeah. Looks like Spunky did get to eat a bit before Ms. InBetween arrived to finish it off!
