Paula, when the cam first came back up it was still dark like before. Didn't see when it cleared up and I was thinking it cleared up with the sun going down.
And thanks for the yolk info. I had no idea. So the little one at TH is not starving and I can stop nail biting.
Has anyone checked on Noah? I haven't read the previous thread...didn't get home from Mom's till 5ish and had some things to do around here before it got dark.
Jo, when I was posting the pictures of Flash, I got a link to widgets, so I checked it out. There are a lot of cute ones there. It took me a little while to figure out how to post it. I think you could find them by clicking on the link below Maukie. If you rub her head, she meows. If you rub her chest, she purrs. George thought that was interesting.
I tried to write a comment about Flash wanting in, but it kept showing up in the wrong place.
Hi everyone! Just checking in. Did anyone else see the recent display between Lib & Belle? Belle was mantling the food he brought in and I thought she was going to hit him. She did catch him with her wing but I guess it didn't phase him. He eventually flew off. They didn't change places that time.
I had the sound down, turned around and looked and there he was with the whale...she mantled it then flung her tail in his face and grabbed it and dragged it to the back.
Got both cams opened for Oklahoma Saw a very good egg roll Their nest is small but with this being the 1st year there - it will be built larger as years go on.
Paula, a part of Sleepy Creek backed our property at my pre-divorce house. The place is huge----forms most of the northwestern boundary of Berkeley Co.

we'll try to do a little homework here about the Eagle nest there...and then post some more info, but it sounds like it is pretty visible...close enough the DNR had the campers find another site
He also said he saw a pair of otters last year at Swinging Bridge in the creek, which is unusual. Muskrats and Beaver not so uncommon..but otters, never seen them
Well I think lots of my NCTC friends are celebrating tonight. Long day here I am no longer used to 8 hour shifts LOL Wanted to stop in and say hi before Dex and i go for a quick walk and call it a day.
I read this tonight in the Saint Anthony Messenger magazine which I think is a neat idea for Easter... so I wanted to share it, though it might already be familiar to some of you:

"Reading those messages will probably be sweeter than any candy."
Margy, aircare was for a head injury (fall I think) on Audobon La. w/ blood from nose and ears, LOC. Wreck at McCoy's Ferry at same time. Fire at Shepherd at same time....then a wreck on Tablers' Station......madhouse!!
so I just missed her, Jo, well maybe she will be back
sounds good Shirley I'm going to look at your picures next then off to bed, will find me some palms at Berkeley Springs St Vincent de Paul church in the morning, unless work calls.
Good Night, Everyone Prayers for our needs, there are many...
Margy, you are right about the last 10-15 miles into Sleepy Creek...As I recall, it was unpaved and slow going. We haven't been there for many years, but doubt it has changed much. Way back when, don't know the decade (maybe 60s 70s), when Gene was still in the Army, their company were having some kind of maneuvers at Sleepy Creek and one of the guys wandered off and fell into the lake and drowned. May have gotten tangled up in some of the tree roots:(
It was really Dan (Xcel Owl cam) that I saw. I thought he looked smalled so I went over to their forum and Dan brought in food and Snowflake came in and took it........
Please pray can't exactly remember 4th or 5th double wide went up in flames. At first the call was someone trapped inside. He got out and moved his truck away from house. Don't where wife was. Don't know if the animals made it out or not. So sad (: Baker Heights had a Banquet and Bedington some volunteers and Hedgesville votunteers were there. I came around the corner to call 911 and nephew was there motioned me on. So I knew fire trucks were coming. Sadly tanker truck didn't get here till later much later. We don't have fire hydrandins close by. My understanding is there is 4 walls, no roof and inside gone. It was 2 or 3 yrs old and it was beautiful doublewide and very nice people. Glad he made it out. I pray because there was so much smoke the fire fighters are all ok. I stood close by for quite awhile. Then went back to my place because it was so sad (: It was Bedingtons first on scene but no tanker.
That is a beauty of a fish in the nest. Lib may have come up here to the Rocky Marsh Run and got a trout. Gene and I both have seen an eagle flying over the stream there. I saw one last year, just shortly after Hidey was hatched, flying over the water...no way of knowing if it was one of our pair or not.
Yep, Dana, I forgot to tell MArgy about that one. It was a bit earlier than all this other activity. Lots of mutual aid from Morgan and Wash. Co's along with station fill-ins. Prayers for all affected for sure.
Yes Magpie Dex went with me. He loves when I say "Lets go to work". He knows his way aroudn the office area just fine even though he is now blind he had been there enough and learned it well enough that he does oK. Lots of younger kids in shelter right now. They were very happy to see a "doggy".
.Dana I am so sorry to hear about the fire. Of course will pray for that family and for you too. I am sure that was very very difficult to see happening.
I think each county needs PAID FIREMEN !! That way more are at the fire stations and ready to men their equipment and fight the fires. Thank God for our Volunteer Fire fighters!
Good Evening Everyone--Blessed pre Palm Sunday. (Almost there!) Went to 2nd office for a couple hours & finished job. When leaving Park today, an adult eagle was actually standing in the nest & busy doing something! Could there be eaglet(s)??? In AM, could just see tiny bit of white head, Problem is egg well is lower this year. Saw another neat thing----2 GBH were doing a flying version of Follow the Leader over Jug Bay! Haven't seen that before. Wish they were closer---would have been a great video! Maybe next time. Well, off for a little TV....
You all have had plenty of action in the Shepherdstown vicinity tonight. I was trying to figure out if the fire Dana was writing about was one of the ones Lynn had mentioned. I see it wasn't. It was yet another event. Golly. I hope the rest of the evening is peaceful.
Dana, I couldn't agree with you more. The Fire Fee has gotten so high, it could be used to pay full-time fireman. Fee is $50 and is going to be increased soon...75,000 people in Berkeley County, that's a lot of money! Of course, that is per family, not per person, but still a lot.
Dana - I just know it is going to be a restless night for you. Seeing a home burn is the most unnerving and unpleasant event to witness. I pray for that family and for all those who helped.
Glo - Glad you and Dex had a rewarding day at the shelter. I'm sure that the children as well as the adults loved having you both with them.
Wanda, the last time I was up in Sleepy Creek was 16 yrs. ago---and roads were still awful then! Sad about Gene's fellow soldier. It's rough country up there----also full of rattlers!!
I still remember seeing our next door neighbor's house burn to the ground when I was in 8th grade. There was no fire department. It was way out in the country. Fortunately for us, there was a large field between our houses.
My father ran over and helped them save a few things, then we just watched it burn. My parents and I were at the fire, and my little brother was at home, but he woke up and started yelling at the window, and I had to run back and get him. I am sure he remembers it, too.
We were looking at that house on Google Earth about a week ago. It is still very rural there--Stokes County, North Carolina. We lived there for about a year. We weren't used to living in such an isolated community.
Yes, I like the Easter basket idea, too. I kind of avoided the Easter grass when my children were growing up. It made such a mess, but I like the idea of cutting paper to make grass, and writing messages on it is really neat.
Shirley, we pay Fire Fee and Ambulance Fee every year. That's in addition to taxes. And SO MANY people don't pay it until they take them to court over it. It's not enough....individual volunteer fire companies are always having fundraisers. It has taken about 25 yrs. of fundraising for Hedgesville to finally get our new firehall. Of course, county chipped in some, and they still had to borrow....but we have a lovely and safe new station!
We have no fire hydrants at all...I don't even know where the nearest one is...I'm sure they wouldn't have a hose long enough to reach us! Probably near Shepherdstown. Because of that, our homeowner's insurance is sky high!
Carolyn and Charlie lost their first house to fire, 2 yrs. after they got married. 3 mos. before Jess was born. It was Easter night---thankfully they were out of town, or we may have lost them. I know how awful it was.....but at least it was just stuff. Nothing like what our Sissy and Tom went through. :(
That is a sore subject with me, Lynn...the fire fee. There are people that have NEVER paid a fire fee and all they get are warnings. These deadbeats need to be sought out and fined. I didn't get a bill one year, and completely forgot about it...they caught up with me and I was fined a late fee; it cost me $100 all together!
Hi all! Been reading and trying to catch up on the blog. Also listening to Celtic Worman. I love their voices, music, etc!
It has been a long tiring day. I took Joseph to his soccer game, Laurel took Jacob to his t-ball game. Then Joseph and I joined them. Went home and packed, went out to eat lunch, then to hospital, then I brought them here to our house. They had fun all afternoon playing outside.
The are now in bed and finally asleep. Going to return them home after Jack leaves tomorrow afternoon.
Joey is still in lots of pain. I imagine he won't be going home until Monday. I will probably spend the night tomorrow with Laurel and help out Monday.
That is for sure, Lynn. I feel fortunate that our fire was put out, thanks to our next door neighbor. (That's the fire we had after we moved into the house we live in now.)
Yep, without hydrants nearby, insurance rates are exorbitant! We do have lots of what they call "dry hydrants" which are ponds that have an apparatus planted into them that the pumper trucks hook up to to fill tanker trucks to shuttle back and forth to a fire.
Sorry just got back inside again. No other homes were touched. That was lucky because this one set at the top of a hill and large area they have. Wasn't close to any others.
I don't think I wrote this. I just got off phone with sister-in-law. Like I said my nephew motioned me on so I knew the firetrucks were called. What I didn't know was that the man of the house. Why I don't know went back inside. Nephew (volunteer firefighter) went inside and brought him back out. Praise God they both could have been trapped in there the way it was burning.
Yes Sissy and Tom's fire was worst.
I also found out while this fire was taking place.
Up near Hedgesville an accident were the person had to be flown out.
Same time a 3rd incident was going on at another place where a person had to be flown out.
3 firefighting needs all going on at the about the same time. WOW what a night!!
Lolly - you are having a long tiring week. But then, while you are doing all those helpful things you really don't mind it a bit. It's when you sit down!
Nite all! Jo is right, you don't know how tired you are until you sit down. lol The boys and I got here around 2:30 and then we went outside and I got to work in the yard. That is my therapy!Boy did the boys get dirty!!!
Anyway, I am headed to the shower and then to bed. Will try to catch up on cams tomorrow.
It's very late back east, so apologies for getting here so late. Sounds like a good thing that Margy was off today. So many 911 calls! A lot of prayers going up for all concerned.
Dana, so sorry to hear about your neighbors! Prayers for them, and for you! Had to shake you up a lot to watch that place burn! BTW, I am the one who posted about 'Lefty', the little dog without a left ear. Haven't adopted her, but wish I could. Hubby needs to be on board about it, too--and so far, he's not. Please pray for the situation, and that Lefty will find a good home with SOMEONE, even if it's not Hubby and me.
Well, I'm finally getting a bit tired, so am leaving the night light and the porch light on for anyone coming in later. The eye scanner security is enabled. Prayers have been said for everyone. Hope everyone gets an exceptional night's rest, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good night, and God bless! Love you guys! :o]
Good morning, Andy! Though I am sure you are fast asleep now.
I was wondering who it was who posted about the dog with the missing ear--I had missed or forgotten that post, Andy. I knew you were talking with your husband about getting a pet. I hope your situation works out. You would make a good pet mama.
Lynne had posted about a cocker spaniel, as I recall. I hope that situation works out as well.
I see Belle between two fish. Seems to be windy at the nest.
A calm but frosty morning here. I have already let Flash out, and he got tangled in a rosebush, which is a good thing, because the lead broke in two. He would have been gone if he'd not been tangled. Good thing it did not break last night. He would have been gone in the dark.
Barking, hissing, and slashing this morning. No contact, though. I think George is being merciful. I would not be a good candidate for a puppy with George around. He doesn't tolerate all of that fuss. He is fine with calm dogs. He grew up with a basset in the house, but he was a kitten when Sassafras was a mature dog.
George is lying on the end table with his tail hanging over the edge. His attitude is, "You mess with my tail, you die." Lynn, I appreciate why you don't like cats, and there are some I would not want to deal with, but I appreciate the attitude.
Good Morning from this roost too Hope it's a good day today for everyone
Paula, Wilmington Falcon nest had two eggs showing yesterday I only see one now both adults were in the nest, female looked like she was laying another, then fussed and fussed with the nest area, wondering if she covered up the two and this could be a third she's back now so maybe everything will look clearer in awhile
I am having serious problems with the cam freezing my computer. I get a message regarding enabling / disabling something with Adobe, but I don't think I am getting it to work. Not sure what to do.
a few days ago, someone posted and I am sorry I don't remember who, that the Loch of the Lowe's Osprey nest is back on, there is the female in the nest now Loch of the Lowe's Scotland Osprey Nest
GOOD MORNING... Margy, Easter is on April 4, this year (as I'm sure you know) and is supposed to be 72°. The day before, it is suppose to be 82°! Can you imagine that?! Get your sun screen out!
Loch of the Lowe's is one of Chrissy's favorites. I am hoping we hear more on how she is doing just checked E-M emails nothing on there Prayers for you Chrissy
Shirley, that is a prediction, 10 days in advance and I'm sure it is up for discussion...a lot can happen in 10 days:)
Margy, Loch of the Lowes was one of my favorites. I couldn't get it at all last year due to my fitful 'puter. I loved her constant chatter and arguments with her mate! I have no sound today?? Love this:
No sign of her regular mate yet- and we know there is bad weather (desert dust storms) on the migration route which may have slowed some birds down. However, we have had another visit from a stray male osprey yesterday, who flew over the loch calling and tried to land on the nest a couple of times- he was seen off by our female in no uncertain terms.
So will our veteran osprey couple be reunited in the next few days? We hope so!
I had never tried Google Chrome before, Paula, so I am not sure. I had the icon on my desktop for some reason. I don't know who installed it--Will or the tech people at work. I didn't--at least not that I know of. It has one interesting feature. There isn't a separate search window. You enter everything in the same window. Makes sense.
It's a good thing I have to work on paperwork today, I am so stiff and sore from working at Mom's yesterday...the 3 of us worked for 5 hours straight, with nothing but 10 minute breaks...finished clearing up leaves, sticks, branches in trees, bamboo, gardens...glad we got it all done...mowing starts next week.
I'm here--just getting here myself. Slept in a bit this morning, too. Happy Palm Sunday! Was delighted to see that our infamous Santa Ana winds have died down. Now for the major cleanup of windblown leaves and debris. Maybe it's a good thing it's so cool at the nest--is that a whale at 6:00? Wow--Lib's fishing skills are awesome!
Don't know what the situation is with Chrissy, but God does. Prayers continuing! ((HUGS)) for Chrissy!
Well, need to go shower and get busy sweeping the patio, at least to make a path to walk through! Wish all of you a wonderful Palm Sunday! Will BBL. :o]

That's really neat, Steve.
I'll call the others over.
From what we had seen last year from the VA state figures, they may have the biggest population in the mid-Atlantic area.
Must have been a beautiful site to behold!
The live feed is up at Outdoor.
It sure is BEagle, thanks!! Sure do wish they would lighten it up though.
I would love to have seen that Steve!
Thanks, Lynn! Thanks Steve!
Palmer is sitting up so straight and strong, not quite as wobbly as he was before.
Lovely parent child scene.
Awesome Steve!
And just as awesome...our live feed is back on!!
Hi Paula
There was a power outage at NCTC’s end. It’s back up now, and the live feed is restored. Thanks again for your help and patience.
Arnel at Outdoor Channel
I sent a reply thanking Outdoor Channel and NCTC...someone had to go into NCTC to fix it...
Cool, TH chick hatched!
K81 has been on the nest all day with the new eaglet!
Suspect that if Steve was on the Shen. bridge on Rt. 50,, he may have been the one to come fix it on NCTC end.
Well, we do appreciate the camera being back on.
Feeding in progress. Palmer is looking stronger every day.
When do they start feeding the eaglets?
I just got a great view of the little eaglet at TH. Cute. Looked a lot like Palmer did a few days ago. Palmer's like a big brother now.
Ooops.
Palmer may be a big sister. My goof.
Hedgie....thanks for the Panda clips.
I saw the one in the SF zoo and guess what it was doing?
You got it, napping!!
82 is back on the th nest
BEagle, the eagles begin feeding the hatchlings within practically minutes of hatch!
Don't forget to turn off your unnecessary lighting from 8:30-9:30 tonight for Earth Hour 2010!
Put a couple of pics of Flash on my blog. He is back on the porch now. Keeps me busy. Just got into the trash.
The new eaglet at TH hasn't had food yet, that I can tell anyway. That's why I was asking.
I found the power outage when I came in to do some computer lab maintenance and fix the feed.
Well, thank you very much, Whiz Kid. We love you!!
Many thanks, Whiz Kid!
Does the feed still look too dark to everyone? I think it looks good.
Nice fish in the nest!
BEagle - eaglets don't need to eat right away, they absorb the rest of the yolk before they hatch.
I wouldn't be surprised if K81 didn't come back with a fish before nightfall...if not then, then in the morning.
Thank you Whiz Kid.
Paula, when the cam first came back up it was still dark like before. Didn't see when it cleared up and I was thinking it cleared up with the sun going down.
And thanks for the yolk info. I had no idea. So the little one at TH is not starving and I can stop nail biting.
Oh-oh, helicopter coming in nearby for a medical evac........it will take at least 10 mins. Will go out on deck to watch it when it gets close.
Yup, little one will be fine :)
I guess we'll see what it looks like tomorrow.
Has anyone checked on Noah? I haven't read the previous thread...didn't get home from Mom's till 5ish and had some things to do around here before it got dark.
Palmer peeping! Parent up.
Palmer sounds hungry!
Thanks Hedgie for the 'call over'
I had just return from Mass and dinner.
Steve - That must have been a beautiful sight for you.
NCTC WhizKid - you're a workaholic being in there on Saturday BUT you sure made a lot of us happy about the live feed
Landing zone (LZ) at the end of the road that mine branches off of.
Paula - Noah right around 12 noon as promised was seen at the Hack Tower.
He was mainly sitting/snoozing in the sun.
He's in the hack tower! They also have the nest cam on...must be on the last shot of him/her. They will do DNA testing to determine male or female.
Wow, what a poop shoot! Was just getting the video going...I missed taping it.
Dinner time!
My feed is running excellent!!
Palmer really chirping away! Did we just have a switch?
My feed is fine.
Looks like Belle, she backed up and did a poop shoot before covering Palmer.
Because of whom Noah was named - I don't think male or female will cause a change. Hope not.
Brought my palm home for Palm Sunday
They said if is was female, then they would rename a female version of Noah...I heard Noah means "peace", so that sounds good to me.
Belle finally all tucked in.
She's really pulling the fluff in and around...ready for another chilly night.
You all sorta lost me for a while
Shirley Flash wants in the door!
Maukie - the virtual cat Where did you find Maukie! I was playing with her......Loved it.
LOl, well she was all tucked in!
OMG look at that whale that Lib brought in!
Fistacuffing over the fish!
Belle mantled it and drug it to the back of the nest.
Belle is chirping, Palmer is peeping, Lib is quiet as a mouse :)
Lib off to the right...time to get Palmer settled in again!
Flash is in now. It is cold and dark outside.
I missed the struggle over the whale!
Hi everyone! Just checking in. Did anyone else see the recent display between Lib & Belle?
Belle was mantling the food he brought in and I thought she was going to hit him. She did catch him with her wing but I guess it didn't phase him. He eventually flew off. They didn't change places that time.
... more later
Thanks, Rob. Lucky you had to come in!
AirCare is on the ground. I didn't even need to go outside. Heard it and saw it fine from sunroom.
Glad that Margy is off.....things are hopping in the 911 world.
I had the sound down, turned around and looked and there he was with the whale...she mantled it then flung her tail in his face and grabbed it and dragged it to the back.
Looking at it again, Belle flew up and in front of Lib and whacked him with her wings! Like Diann said!
Barking and hissing going on here! Good thing I got a lot of rest yesterday.
WVU 28, KY 26.
Belle is on red alert, head darting back and forth.
I wonder what was posing a threat!
If raw fish is sushi......the raw whale must be wushi.
They will have a lot of wushi!!!
What a cute widget, Shirley!!
Wushi! Love it!
Night light on and Live Feed looks GREAT
Got both cams opened for Oklahoma
Saw a very good egg roll
Their nest is small but with this being the 1st year there - it will be built larger as years go on.
Too much hissing here. Time to separate them.
BBL Lights out 8:30-9:30pm
Earth hour has started...
New eaglet at TH is being fed!!
Oops. Spoke too soon. Just 82 was eating. Apologies!
Shirley, loved the widget and Flash is cute. Reminds me of the ad character "Axelrod." Can't remember the product but Max has his bank now.
Wushi, a good one! I love you guys; such a great sense of humor. Brings smiles to my life.
Must go for now. Have a good evening and a restful night.
God bless
WVU 53 KY 43!! GO EERS!
♫...and the birds hush their singing....♫
Good night all! Have a sweet sleep tonight and a glorious day tomorrow.
Go EEERs!
Thanks for the Sleepy Lake links...trophy bass, cool. Not to far from Martinsburg.
WV 61 KY 49
GO EEEEERS!!!!! 4 MIN. LEFT...
Nice day -- there is an eaglet at TH.
I guess Noah has moved to his/her new address.
It was a busy day for me then a plumbing problem needed water turned off so dinner is just over.
Hoping every had a lovely day.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others.
Something sure got them fired up at Halftime!
Paula, a part of Sleepy Creek backed our property at my pre-divorce house.
The place is huge----forms most of the northwestern boundary of Berkeley Co.
Jerry West's son in for the 'Eers.
Congrats to all you Mountaineer fans!
Go EEErs!
Let the WV party begin!!!!
Guess Norma is happy tonight.
You Go EEEEEEEEEEEEERRS! 73 - 66
WHOO HOO Norma!
Eagle at Two Harbors looks elegant...lots of flying insects buzzing around
Thankd for the blackout notice, Lynn....I was already cooking though so I finished that in the dark ☺
Hello Evening People xo
Hi Margy!
My live feed came up nicely and looks good.
missed the food slugfest
Thanks to NCTC Whiz Kid
that's pretty neat, wonder if saw the Eagles flying around when he was there
Hi Shirley!
My brother didn't think WV could pull it off, not the prairie dog brother but the older one in Florida...he has been outta the state too long !
WHOOOOHOOOO!!! WVU GOING TO THE FINAL FOUR!!
Lynn
I heard so many sirens from this end, is the county burning down or what !
What was the medevac any idea?
Prayers for the victim and the providers...fire ems and police too
Phooey Judie know you are already probably maybe gone to the pillows...
hope the plumbing problem was not too bad...no fun !
Neat, Lynn!
Sleepy Creek, the Lake itself, is probably close to 20 miles from where I live...
and those last five miles will take longer the the first 15!
There is a park ranger who lives close to the beginning of the entrance...
correct that, he's DNR, wild game division...I guess that is kind of like a park ranger
we'll try to do a little homework here about the Eagle nest there...and then post some more info, but it sounds like it is pretty visible...close enough the DNR had the campers find another site
He also said he saw a pair of otters last year at Swinging Bridge in the creek, which is unusual.
Muskrats and Beaver not so uncommon..but otters, never seen
them
Well I think lots of my NCTC friends are celebrating tonight.
Called
A Basketful of Love
Fill up an Easter basket and instead of fake grass,
cut up strips of colored paper, on each of the strips, write something you love about the person you want to give it to, (Like "Nice Smile ☺ " or "Gentle Manner" - you get the idea)
fill it up as much as you can.
"Reading those messages will probably be sweeter than any candy."
Bet everyone was happy to see you Glo...so Dex went also?
Whoa! Snowflake is in her nest box on the Xcel Energy Cam.......
Man oh Man! No sooner did I post that and go back to the cam and she just walked out of the nest and flew the coop!
Got Will to let Flash out for the final time this evening.
I see our eagle is sleeping away.
see her on the still cam, is she on the live also Jo? tucked into the corner maybe ?
Margy, aircare was for a head injury (fall I think) on Audobon La. w/ blood from nose and ears, LOC.
Wreck at McCoy's Ferry at same time.
Fire at Shepherd at same time....then a wreck on Tablers' Station......madhouse!!
Still pic will have her in there. But I wanted her to stay! Not so sure anymore about a 2nd clutch happening!
Lucky you Shirley - It has really really chilled down - I bet Flash didn't stay long.
Maybe it is the chill, but I am sitting here yawning and yawning. I may be going back the hallway sooner then usual!
so I just missed her, Jo, well maybe she will be back
sounds good Shirley I'm going to look at your picures next
then off to bed, will find me some palms at Berkeley Springs St Vincent de Paul church in the morning, unless work calls.
Good Night, Everyone
Prayers for our needs, there are many...
God Bless Us, Every One
o ☺ ♥
thanks Hedgie, no I am NOT sorry I missed out on all of that...
Hope everyone that's injured will be okay....
Good night now...
Only been a few minutes. Flash is still out, Jo. I hope he doesn't decapitate too many of my daffodils. He tends to pull his lead across them.
Dana, did any of the other mobile homes get damaged? Fire destroying your home has to be devastating:(
Good Evening Everyone--Blessed pre Palm Sunday. (Almost there!)
Went to 2nd office for a couple hours & finished job.
Congrats to WV for making it to the final four!
This tired, aching body is heading to bed...catch ya'll in the a.m.
Belle is sleeping peacefully between the 2 fish :)
Hugs to all ♥
You all have had plenty of action in the Shepherdstown vicinity tonight.
Fire fee? That is a tax or something to support the fire department?
Dana - I just know it is going to be a restless night for you. Seeing a home burn is the most unnerving and unpleasant event to witness. I pray for that family and for all those who helped.
Glo - Glad you and Dex had a rewarding day at the shelter. I'm sure that the children as well as the adults loved having you both with them.
That is what it is for, Shirley.
Not sure where it really goes, seems the fire depts. are always low on funds??
Wanda, the last time I was up in Sleepy Creek was 16 yrs. ago---and roads were still awful then! Sad about Gene's fellow soldier. It's rough country up there----also full of rattlers!!
Margy, Easter basket idea is a nice one!
Good night to all turning in. Rest well.
We were looking at the house we lived in, that is. There was nothing left of the other house after the fire.
Yes, I like the Easter basket idea, too. I kind of avoided the Easter grass when my children were growing up. It made such a mess, but I like the idea of cutting paper to make grass, and writing messages on it is really neat.
Dana, do something nice for yourself tonight.
We found out on November 20, 1980 that, as horrible as it is to lose a home, if you don't lose somebody, all the material stuff can be replaced!
I was so stunned when Sissy told us about her little ones, I couldn't say anything!
God Bless those two♥♥
Hi Lolly, sorry to hear that Joey is still in pain. Abdominal surgery is no fun.
Yep, without hydrants nearby, insurance rates are exorbitant! We do have lots of what they call "dry hydrants" which are ponds that have an apparatus planted into them that the pumper trucks hook up to to fill tanker trucks to shuttle back and forth to a fire.
Well, dear friends, going to take my bath. See all y'all tomorrow. Prayers and peace.
I am headed back the hallway with all my yawning going with me........
Good night all and prayers for everyone
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Shirley from what I read somewhere in comments one day. It sounded like you went and adopted that little dog without the left ear. Did you?
You must be thinking about someone else, Dana. I think Lynne found a little dog.
I am going to head upstairs. Tired. See you tomorrow.
Please pray can't exactly remember 4th or 5th double wide went up in flames. At first the call was someone trapped inside. He got out and moved his truck away from house. Don't where wife was. Shirley it was Andrea that talked about the dog without a left ear. So I don't know if she got him or not?
Closing down for night.
May God Wrap Each and Everyone of YOU Up In His Caring Arms.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Hi, Friends,
It's very late back east, so apologies for getting here so late.
39° and windy here. Winds at 10 to 15 mph.
All is quiet at the nest. Looks like it will be fish for breakfast:)
Morning, all!
Cam up and running, can hear the wind...Belle still between the 2 fish :)
Doesn't look too dark, either!
Good Morning from this roost too
Hope it's a good day today for everyone
Paula, Wilmington Falcon nest had two eggs showing yesterday
I only see one now
both adults were in the nest, female looked like she was laying another, then fussed and fussed with the nest area, wondering if
she covered up the two and this could be a third
she's back now so maybe everything will look clearer in awhile
two eagles at Okla nest
Good morning Megan and Paula.
I am having serious problems with the cam freezing my computer. I get a message regarding enabling / disabling something with Adobe, but I don't think I am getting it to work. Not sure what to do.
2nd eagle just flew out from Okla, looks like he made a fluff delivery
five years ago Easter was
on March 27 -
just about this very same kind of weather
Hi Margy!
Going to try opening the cam again and see what happens.
a few days ago, someone posted and I am sorry I don't remember who, that the Loch of the Lowe's Osprey nest is back on, there is the female in the nest now
Loch of the Lowe's Scotland Osprey Nest
I decided to try Google Chrome. So far, so good.
GOOD MORNING...
Margy, Easter is on April 4, this year (as I'm sure you know) and is supposed to be 72°. The day before, it is suppose to be 82°! Can you imagine that?! Get your sun screen out!
thanks Wanda... won't need it, have to work the entire week-end and will be sleeping during the daytime...
:(
my live feed opened up okay, enjoyed my five minutes, but missed the feeding !
Really, Wanda? I did not know it was supposed to be that warm on Easter. Wow!
two O's at BWO
Loch of the Lowe's is one of Chrissy's favorites.
I am hoping we hear more on how she is doing just checked E-M emails nothing on there
Prayers for you Chrissy
time to find some church clothes and head on out
Thinking of all today
(( hugs ♥ ))
Shirley
sounds like Flash is pretty frisky today...glad he did not have a chance to run off
ttfn xo
We hope so!
STAY TUNED!
This morning has flown. Time to pull myself together too, Margy.
Have a blessed Sunday♥
No feeding yet that I have seen Margy, we've just been commenting on the fish laying in the nest :)
I haven't tried google chrome yet Shirley, what would you compare it to?
I sure would love to see Easter weather as they predict, would be the first time in a long time we had such a nice day for it!
Up for a chick check, maybe breakfast time!
True, Wanda, but it is a nice prediction.
I tried to access Loch of the Lowes, but everytime I tried to start the viewer, it stopped.
I was amused with the comments about the male osprey being sent away "in no uncertain terms."
Feeding time at our nest.
Ah yes, time for eats.
Palmer is one week old today!
And it hasn't frozen up anything yet!
My backyard could use a mowing already!
Palmer is quite the chirper!
No poop shoot, still trying to video one! time for a nap for Palmer.
Took a birthday pic of Palmer.
At least for now, the fishes are getting refrigerated by Mother Nature, not that the eagles seem to care.
NEW THREAD IS UP!!!!!!!!!
Belle up with a big wing stretch, then flapped her wings in the nest, then took off to the left...now some calling...Palmer alone in the nest.
Looks like Lib just arrived!
Good Palm Sunday to all.
Dreary and chilly here. Sure hope the long-range forecast for Easter holds.
I have totally given up on our cam on my netbook.
Lib just did a food drop off.
Wow, where is everybody? Church perhaps? I didn't even get up until around 11. It was great! Might even go back for a few minutes! :)
Hi, Sharon,
I'm here--just getting here myself.
Will BBL. :o]
Oh, BTW~~
Our SoCal weather forecast is a bit daunting today--supposed to get up to 88 in Anaheim!!! Yikes!!! :o0
Andy, there is a new thread.
Duke didn't play WVU in the regular season.
