Good morning, Jo! Nothing wrong with sleeping in! ☺ I just can not do it, sleep ususally til 7:30 or close to 8. That is sleeping in for me. We are usually up til 12 or 12:30, so 7 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep for both of us, though Jack usually sleeps a little longer.
Lolly, I'm having less trouble telling the diff between Lib & Belle this year than last, but it's still hard.
NCTC uses a wide angle lens not far from the nest, but NBG uses a zoom lens from quite a distance.
Wide angle lenses are infamous for showing radical differences in size of a subject as you change the distance from the lens to the subject.
So, Liberty looks several times bigger near the camera than when he's at the other end of the nest.
Usually takes me most of the season to adjust so I can ID the eagle in the nest. Then it's changed or I forget over the off season and have to start over. Hahaha.
Good morning, Jim. I just wish there was more color in our cam. I think I could then have more luck in telling the difference. I was amazed this morning in seeing the difference in the two at NBG, as there is a great difference in their faces.

Ok, gang, it is time to leave this wonderful Monday morning company. Time to eat a bite or two and then get my excercise in. Jack is waiting patiently. We "walk" together!
Lolly I bet that if you walk together you will stay together! lol Sissy - I have robins out in the yard now- guess the sunshine brought them out again. Glo - Many prayers for Tom and Ana and the boys. I am thankful to hear it is something that can be taken care of by removing the gall bladder! I know you wish you were in Hinesville to lend a caring hand! I'm sure you will keep in touch with the boys. Norma - Too cute of a story about Lisa's dogs! I bet Lynne thinks it's better than a dish towel story! lol
I had no trouble getting the Live Feed up on my IE browser. In fact I didn't even have the singing animal commercial - just hit the Play button and on it came.
I can hear the wind on the Live Feed - It isn't a constant hum for me.
Morning Jim!
Mattie Jane - Take care and be sure to listen to Glo's advice! It's International Women's Day and some countries even have the day off! I wouldn't have a problem with that!

Hi, Everyone! Tried several times to get here yesterday, but each time either had computer glitches, or Hubby had something that needed my immediate attention. Not really caught up here, but did scan back a bit, so will do my best to comment. Saying prayers for all those who need healing. Glo, your family is on my mind, for sure, and Mattie is, too.
Oh--before I forget,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEULA!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!! :o] :o]
Lost my live feed last night while trying to get on here, too. Thought it was just my computer, but it seems that others had problems, too. Mighty glad to see the nest live again now!
Was really tired last night, and slept in after Hubby left for work. Have much to do--a couple of errands to run, and lots to study for Wednesday night test and Thursday night test in school. It just never seems to slow down!
Gotta run, so will wish you guys a good afternoon/evening, and will try my best to get back here later, (after dinner) if at all possible. Love all you guys! :o]
WASHINGTON - The National Zoo's female giant panda isn't pregnant, at least not yet. Mei Xiang had her second ultrasound examination early Monday since she was artificially inseminated in January. Zoo curators and veterinarians looked closely at the monitor, but there was no sign of a fetus.
Zoo scientists say it could take weeks potentially for a fetus to be visible. Still, they are monitoring to establish a set of data for the future.
This could be the zoo's last chance to breed Mei Xiang and 12-year-old male Tian Tian. A 10-year loan for the pair expires at the end of the year. The bears could be returned to China at that time.
The zoo has inseminated Mei Xiang numerous times, but she has only had one cub, Tai Shan in 2005. He was sent to China last month.
no, Lynne, she would not, that is why they are hoping she is pregnant, but they could ask for Tian to come back...I'm just hoping the negotiations go well.
I see the picture is live and streaming at MN Eagle/Owl nest....I want to watch, but then I don't. Afraid of what's going to happen when the eagles return.
Lynne - apparently the eagles have been there at the MN nest, that's why they put the cam in. They said they are on vacation before egg laying...I'm thinking they may not want to tangle with an owl.
Monday, March 8, 2010 at 3:16PM | MN Bound Editor Well we can't make this stuff up, and we certainly can't change it. As we hurry up and wait for what we thought to be the arrival of our eagles, we have to take a step back and enjoy the opportunity that we are now presently given. We have an Owl and she looks to be here to stay. Here are some of the things that we do know today.
While working hard with the great folks from Wild Earth and Broadband, we have finally connected with what we believe to be a solid LIVE video stream. Hurray! We shouldn't have any more major issues with our signals and people watching the ring circulate around and around. If you do, please be patient and hopefully it will correct itself or try to reset the cache in your computer to our updated video player.
We have an owl no doubt. We also have eggs, two of them. The first one was laid on March 3rd and the second came March 4th. Yes I said March and not January. If you are familiar with Owls, then you know that these guys typically lay their eggs in January. Why we have an owl in our nest right now is beyond us and the raptor experts we have talked to. I think we can now throw everything out the window as far as expected dates. This may hold true for our eagle pair as well. We're still unsure if they have left us for good.
Since the owl laid her eggs, we can now look into the life of another unique bird of prey. Over the next several weeks and months we should experience much of the same as if it were an eagle. we will get you our expected hatch dates as well as what we can expect since we do in fact have an owl and not an eagle. We hope you are now enjoying the LIVE Eagle-Owl Cam!
Scanned over the blog very quickly. I see that there is an owl in the eagle nest somewhere. I think Minnesota. And, it seems that one can't put out bird feeders in Michigan without fear of being accused of baiting other critters. Strange happenings today.
I will try to check back later. I'm deep into writing vocabulary exercises.
Evening Everyone. We were busy all day & then I needed a Panda Nap. Late for dinner again! See NBG didn't have a hatch yet. I watched it a lot yesterday. Gonna see if can view "owl" nest. I guess they are talking like the eagles won't chase it away. Hum NEWS FLASH===buddy at Park emailed me that she saw the first osprey come in and land on the older cam platform nest!!!!Hope to see it tommorrow!! ☺
Hello! I'm back online--finally!!!! Sure have missed you all. So much catching up to do. And Margy just called to check in on me---she's so sweet! Won't try to comment on anything until I've read through blog!!!
Made a quick visit to the discussion board for the class I am taking. We're expected to post things on different days, so I put in a few comments.
George has been sitting on my mouse. I think he is trying to tell me something.
I went outside without a jacket this evening to fill the bird feeders. It was a nice feeling. I hope I didn't break any laws. I definitely don't want to attract any elk. I cannot imagine what that is all about!
Have to be at work by 7:15 for a meeting tomorrow, so I'm going to call it quits. See you later.
I was all bummed out about having to miss BW Open House due to work, bu8t underst6and it will be a rainy day. Of course could go there anytime & have to get to Conowingo, too. Wanted to go TH, but rain then, too & it's not even April!!!
I am reading backwards. Glo, sure hope that Ana and Tom both feel better quickly. GB surgery, hopefully, will be laparoscopic so that she doesn't have to stay in Atlanta for long. My eldest and her youngest both came down with some kind of intestinal bug this evening. Were exposed yesterday to an infant who had just had it......argh! Why don't people stay home when they're sick. Carolyn was here today for a little while, so praying that I don't get. it.
we were thinking about it, but I think my mother in law may be coming "down the mountain" now that they are having a heat wave! She'd like to see Steve this weekend....it's his big FIVE O birthday on Thursday!
His hand is just fine, thank the GOOD LORD. I was so worried because it was shooting pain and numbness, but the rest and naproxen did the trick! Thanks for asking!
Hope Mattie is feeling better. Glad that Laurel and Joey didn't flood, Lolly. Loretta....was the body found in YOUR park???? Any update on that? Nothing mentioned on news tonight.
Paula....SIL's techie friend was not as smart as he thought. WHile trying to password-protect my wireless, he screwed up all of the IP settings.......and then didn't have time to continue trying to fix it. Got the guy who set it up originally and he thought it was all set---could get on to any web pge he tried....but then couldn't log-in or navigate to anything else. Tonight he got it all fixed! And I ordered Verizon today---it will be here in a week!
In the midst of all this mess, my netbook froze up. The only thing he can do is wipe it clean and reload it.....so won't have it for a week. I will lose all my favorites on it, I guess...drats.
Lynn, I was using Firefox, but it kept freezing up. Not sure why. I used it for a long time before that started happening. Now I'm back to IE at the moment. Geez, what a mess you had! I took my computer to Best Buy on Saturday...turns out I had conflicting Antivirus/spyware. Seems to be doing better now.
Helloooo...anybody out there? I've been missing chatting with all of you. I've gotten behind in everything here at my house and tried to catch up today....gonna take more than one day:( Need to do some sprucing up at GGs too, so, If I'm not on here for a while, you know I'm not MIA:) Hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful day and the ones to come.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
HAPPY B'DAY TO OUR FRIEND, GEULA, WHO LIVES SO FAR AWAY:)
Told Margy earlier...opened paper this AM and an obit name hot me in the face...same name as a good friend in college. Of course, lost touch after graduation. As I read, it was the same man. And he was living right here in Hedgesville. Quite a shock. He and I, along with my BFF in CA,were all very active in multiple campus activities. Sad that he passed, but sadder to know her was right here, and I never knew it. Planning on going to memorial tomorrow afternoon.
No BW for me Saturday, DIL baby shower, and college kid will be home Sat night for spring break, then will leave on Fri morn next week, has to work Fri and Sat. He is loving the new job!
Sounds like you have a full weekend Paula. I'm sure you'll enjoy Michael being home - Saw on FB he had a b-day the other day! Did Ajay pass that stone yet?
Lynn, re: Park crime~~~that is Patuxent STATE Park and is in N. Montgomery Co., near Darnestown I think. Is very isolated and used mostly for fishing. We got Verizon a few years ago, after dial-up & like it very much. Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Well, dear ones, I am going to wrap it up for tonight. SO glad to be back with my peeps----was having BAD withdrawal from you all! Hope to wake up in the wee hours so I can watch Lily videos. Only need to worry about that problem for a week more!!! Prayers for all.
Ah yes, I forgot to post...I tried calling her Sat and Sun, finally talked to John last night. Ajay passed stone on Friday night. She is feeling much better! The class she got kicked out of online, they will only let her retake it at no charge. 7 weeks shot to hell, no incompletes allowed. Somehow that doesn't seem right...think she is going to try to find another online college for the rest of her classes. I told her to try Strayer...anyone else have any suggestions? She is looking for classes online only. She was taking U of Phoenix.
Lisa Horn Halbig From WCNC.com CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- More than 4,300 votes were cast in our Name the Newborn contest and Noah is the name of Savannah's eaglet with 52 percent of the vote. It was named for Lance Corporal Noah M. Pier who died last month while serving overseas in Afghanistan."
Managed to make it back here after dinner and some TV. Lynn, good to see you back here! Missed you!
Have been trying to study for my test on Wednesday. This class is a tough one for me! Having a hard time learning normal results ranges for SO many different kinds of tests! Have to learn it all by memorization, pretty much, and that makes it harder. Too many numbers, and very cut-and-dried.
Glad to hear that Ajay passed the stone and is feeling better! Thank God! Glad Steve's hand is OK, too! Thank God for that, too!
Saying prayers now for all those in need of healing, and for lots of other reasons, too. Am getting pretty brain fatigued, so think I will call it a night. The night light is still on, the porch light is automatic, and the eye scanner is enabled. Lateniks, please don't slam the door! Sleep tight, and will talk to you tomorrow. Good night, and God bless! :o]

Glo, so sorry about Ana and Tom. Prayers going up!
Hang in there, Mattie. Just think how wonderfully women are made!!! Be proud to be a woman and all the glorious experiences ahead.

Good morning, Jim. I just wish there was more color in our cam. I think I could then have more luck in telling the difference. I was amazed this morning in seeing the difference in the two at NBG, as there is a great difference in their faces.
The males face at NBG is really beautiful!!! Not to say the female is not, but wow, the male is regal.

yeah, sure he would rather they stay away, so the birds could get the feed....
I see the picture is live and streaming at MN Eagle/Owl nest....I want to watch, but then I don't. Afraid of what's going to happen when the eagles return.
yeah, me too, might not be pretty, but might turn out ok too.
Do you know if the eagles had been to the nest at all yet this year? I'm guessing not or I suspect the owl wouldn't have moved in.
Belle getting up, I heard Lib land a few minutes ago
I think since it is in northern MN, they have not returned yet...
Belle flew out, Lib flew in.
and I missed it.
You must've blinked.
I was out in the kitchen:(
♥♥♥♥♥NORMA♥♥♥♥♥ Christmas arrived today! I got my magazine. I have already read the article and Jack has read it too. Thank you so very much!!!!
LYNN♥♥♥...Thank you, too, for your part in printing the labels and trying to help out.
You ladies are the BEST!
About an hour ago it dark as night, had thunder and then it poured. Yuk! But hopefully the rain is over, the sun is out now. wahoo!!!!
Just checked on NBG, guess there is no action there yet.
nope nothing there yet.
Lolly, your rain is heading to us I think for the mid/end of the week ....BUT, still going to be WARM!!!
Off to fix dinner....
Hello eagle momsters and dadsters.
I see 2 eagles our nest...late switch...Lib just left.
WAX...
for old times sake :):)
Just got a good look at the egg when Belle came in and Lib left
Lynne - apparently the eagles have been there at the MN nest, that's why they put the cam in. They said they are on vacation before egg laying...I'm thinking they may not want to tangle with an owl.
and I missed it again...darn...hi Thelma
I'm getting kind of attached to the owl, love its ears....Hi Ceil:)
Late geese fly thru
So MNbound has a TV show too, anyone ever watched it online?
Not much snow melting up there...
It does have cute little ears, Helen. It sits very still, more than the eagles I think.
MN Nest - according to the pics on FB they taped putting the camera in the tree, supposed to be on one of their shows soon.
it does move its head around, like a 180 at times....did not know it was a show
I was back home around 6:00
We have finished dinner
Going to watch some news...
BBILW
New House tonight. : )
Catch you fine folks later. Keep an eye on everything for me. : )

Well we can't make this stuff up, and we certainly can't change it.
We hope you are now enjoying the LIVE Eagle-Owl Cam!
yes, a new House...yea...
Thanks, Mits, Just found that myself on their blog.
I did see the head turn...have you seen it roll the eggs yet?
Aha, doing it now!
yes, just doing it....cute, much like an eagle
off to fix dinner..bbl
Scanned over the blog very quickly. I see that there is an owl in the eagle nest somewhere. I think Minnesota. And, it seems that one can't put out bird feeders in Michigan without fear of being accused of baiting other critters. Strange happenings today.
I will try to check back later. I'm deep into writing vocabulary exercises.

Goodnight everyone.
Turning my light off. Will leave the night light on for others.
I read that note on the Snowman cam late last night....
that's Crazy !
I've been putting pictures from the still cam OUR nest on the Momsters album
Evening Everyone. We were busy all day & then I needed a Panda Nap. Late for dinner again!
See NBG didn't have a hatch yet. I watched it a lot yesterday.
Gonna see if can view "owl" nest. I guess they are talking like the eagles won't chase it away. Hum
NEWS FLASH===buddy at Park emailed me that she saw the first osprey come in and land on the older cam platform nest!!!!Hope to see it tommorrow!! ☺
If not tomorrow, Loretta, then Wednesday ! Unless of course, you took that day off ☺

Hello! I'm back online--finally!!!! Sure have missed you all. So much catching up to do.
And Margy just called to check in on me---she's so sweet!
Won't try to comment on anything until I've read through blog!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEULA!!
Mits, heard on news that Mai's ultrasound was inconclusive.
Hi Lynn! We have missed you. I have to admit that I have been commenting without reading everything. Some days, I just cannot catch up.
Oh Shirley, we all know how that goes...sometimes there's too much chat and you just have to skim the blog....
Or should I say not enough time in the day to do everything we want to do, including reading the blog.
Hi Margy! Have to see osprey tomorrow. Wed. I'm at Largo farmhouse.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEULA!!!
sorry, kinda late in day..
I was all bummed out about having to miss BW Open House due to work, bu8t underst6and it will be a rainy day.
Of course could go there anytime & have to get to Conowingo, too. Wanted to go TH, but rain then, too & it's not even April!!!
WE nest has their first egg! Not sure when it was laid, it may have been last night...egg was first visible about 6am this morning!
Paula it's great about Wray's egg at
WE. I had posted the url for the Youtube video........
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3Gsh6FJKlw
welcome back Lynn!
Margy, I had a whole BIG flock of RWBBs this morning!!
Was anyone going to Blackwater this weekend?
I am reading backwards.
Glo, sure hope that Ana and Tom both feel better quickly. GB surgery, hopefully, will be laparoscopic so that she doesn't have to stay in Atlanta for long.
My eldest and her youngest both came down with some kind of intestinal bug this evening. Were exposed yesterday to an infant who had just had it......argh! Why don't people stay home when they're sick. Carolyn was here today for a little while, so praying that I don't get. it.
I just read back and found your post Jo! I missed it earlier!
Welcome back, Lynne. Did your techie find anything?
Welcome back to Eagle Land Lynn! Really missed you!
Lynne - I'm not able to go to BWE festival. Do you think you and Steve may go down?
Is Steve back to work - how is his wrist.
Paula I should have made it a blue link but didn't so it was easy to miss.
we were thinking about it, but I think my mother in law may be coming "down the mountain" now that they are having a heat wave!
Lily and Hope's latest release
Hedgie - I think you will be very satisfied. Sorry about all the money you already put into your present system.
When I hit the big '5 0' I thought it was a great achievement! Hoping that Steve will accept it as such.
Somehow I have lost the instructions for bypassing this silly security message....could someone please give me those again?
In the midst of all this mess, my netbook froze up. The only thing he can do is wipe it clean and reload it.....so won't have it for a week. I will lose all my favorites on it, I guess...drats.
I do now have Firefox loaded on PC!
Lynne, glad Steve's hand has responded to treatment!
Seems to be doing better now.
welcome back, Lynn...
Go to Tools
then Internet Options
then Security Tab, then Custom
Then go down to Miscellaneous and then to display Mixed Content, click Enable...
hitting the hay folks! Prayers for all...and have a good night!
Sidney nest has 2 eggs now...
Thanks, Mits!!!
Helloooo...anybody out there? I've been missing chatting with all of you. I've gotten behind in everything here at my house and tried to catch up today....gonna take more than one day:(
Need to do some sprucing up at GGs too, so, If I'm not on here for a while, you know I'm not MIA:)
Hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful day and the ones to come.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
HAPPY B'DAY TO OUR FRIEND, GEULA, WHO LIVES SO FAR AWAY:)
Good night, Wanda!! Rest well, gal!
No update on Duke Farms :(
Told Margy earlier...opened paper this AM and an obit name hot me in the face...same name as a good friend in college.
Hedgie Whose hand was that!
Lynne - glad Steve's hand is better!
Lynn - I think you will like the Verizon DSL...I have it here, works great. I think you will get back your $$$ soon.
Wanda - glad you could check in with us!
No BW for me Saturday, DIL baby shower, and college kid will be home Sat night for spring break, then will leave on Fri morn next week, has to work Fri and Sat. He is loving the new job!
Lynn - did you watch Damages ?
I had yearbooks out; did a lot of reminiscing.
Sounds like you have a full weekend Paula. I'm sure you'll enjoy Michael being home - Saw on FB he had a b-day the other day!
Did Ajay pass that stone yet?
Going to head down the hallway
My running around this afternoon has tired me out!
Good Night and Prayers for All
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Time to say Good Night.
Hey, Lynn, welcome back! Sure wish we were all computer geniuses and could take care of our own computer woes!
Laurel and Joey dodged the bullet this time. No flooding, but we are thinking of building an ark!
Worked on slides tonight. Had not done that for a week. Took a break.
Jo.....taped Damages.....will watch after my bath....is that what your HAND reference was about???
Think I am going to read for a while before heading to bed.
Nite all!
Sweet dreams!

Good (Very Late) Evening, Everyone!
My FireFox froze up earlier in the day, I shut it down, and unfortunately I never got back over here.... But, anyway
