Apparently, yes. Very odd that no one came back in when she flew out. She could be up in the tree, but egg has been uncovered since around 10:13. It's 45° and getting ready to rain again.
Good morning everyone. Love your daffodil avatar Megan . Geeesh they need a break at that nest. Finally some sunshine this morning here in IL. Heading out for a while somewhere.
Good morning! Scared me! Reading the blog before bringing up the cam. So thankful to see an eagle there!
I have been up, reading the paper. Jack just go up. Lazy bones!
It is a day of celebration...water NOT standing on brick that is patio extension. However, cloudy today and possible showers tomorrow. Tomorrow is our zoo day...boo hiss!!! Can not go to the zoo Wed. Wed is half price day and the zoo will be so crowded. Would rather give the zoo more money!!
Oh, cute! Just saw eaglets peeking (not pooping) out from under mom at NBG.
Havn't read thru' comments yet. Morning all. I feel like we are living at the shore with a stalled tropical depression offshore...ongoing intermittant feeder bands of rain. Enough already!
Have spent almost 2 hrs. trying to load my flood pics off my camera. Somehow the automatic start feature has disappeared. Re-installed program without any change. Troubleshooting instructions are for XP....had to go around Robin's red barn to get in a back door on Vista....argh! FINALLY successful. WIll I remember how to do it again?? Doubtful!
Paula, we were at the Ott house early Saturday evening...had a reception for my DIL's sister, then we went to MSMU for a dinner, her sister was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame..she played lacrosse...
it was a nice night...all the kids were there....her little son Charlie, walked around the podium as she spoke...she is expecting another baby in August.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Have this whole day all to myself. Gene is checking in on GG and taking her lunch and supper! Thank you, Lord for putting him into my life:) I don't know if to get my work done or relax and have fun;) Maybe a little of both.
Oh, no, Lolly! Must spend winter with hubby...fire in fireplace, cuddling to keep warm...most romantic time in the Wright household;)
A woman was in town on a shopping trip. She began her day finding the most perfect shoes in the first shop and an absolutely beautiful dress on sale in the second.
In the third she was pleased to discover that everything had just been reduced by 50 percent when her mobile phone rang.
It was a female doctor notifying her that her husband had just been in a terrible car accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU.
The woman told the doctor to inform her husband where she was and that she'd be there as soon as possible. As she hung up she realized she was leaving what was shaping up to be her best day ever in the boutiques. She decided to get in a couple of more shops before heading to the hospital.
She ended up shopping the rest of the morning, finishing her trip with a cup of coffee and a beautiful chocolate cake slice, compliments of the last shop.. She was jubilant.
Then she remembered her husband. Feeling guilty, she dashed to the hospital.
She saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about her husband’s condition. The lady doctor glared at her and shouted, "You went ahead and finished your shopping trip didn't you! I hope you're proud of yourself! While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself in town, your husband has been languishing in the Intensive Care Unit! It's just as well you went ahead and finished, because it will more than likely be the last shopping trip you ever take! For the rest of his life he will require round-the-clock care. And he will now be your career!"
The woman, overcome with guilt, broke down and sobbed.
The lady doctor then chuckled and said, "I'm just pulling your leg. He's dead. Show me what you bought."
Lynn, I write down the steps that I go through when solving a problem, then forget where I put the notes when I need them again. Trying to get more organized. I have more space to file things properly, now that we moved furniture around in my office. Gonna stick to it this time...getting too old to depend on my memory:)
Interesting about the Ospreys not wintering together, wonder how they find each other again. I guess they both head to their nest and wait until the mate gets there. Learned my 'something new' today:)
back from errands...not happy to read how long egg was all alone.
I hear a red shouldered hawk on our nest cam
WJZ channel 13 Baltimore reports Tai and Mei both doing well in China. And that Conowingo has 11 flood gates open. And that City Hall in Baltimore has been evaced for suspicious package found, fire and hazmat crews on the scene.
what I thought were tulips budding in my flower bed are actually crocus on steroids blooming between the tulip leaves!
Megan, Mits, Sharon, Loretta, Norma, Glo, Lolly, Paula, Hedgie-Lynn, and anyone coming in.
Mits I loved the weather report of 50 (was doing the cheerleader dance flopping my pomps pomps around; ryea right I can), then I read on chance of showers. I hope I don't find out anyone on here has been doing a "rain dance" lol
Good Afternoon! I have not had a very productive morning but I did get my street clothes on before tuning in to see what was happening. Very concerning about our eagles behavior leaving the nest.. Temps are warm enough for egg not to be affected I pray!
Wanda - That was a dark sided joke and I got my laugh for the day! lol Like Lynn, I wasn't sure what emotion I felt with the ending!
Mits - that really sounds like a special occasion for the family - quite an honor for her and happy that so many of you got to attend the event
I got my Birds & Blooms in the mail The April - May issue
How do you tell the difference between a Downy and a Red-bellied woodpecker. The red-bellied is on the cover and to me (unskilled eye) it looks like the woodpecker that comes to my suet out here on the deck. Guess I will need to google or bing and find out.
Thanks so much Mits for posting the Portland Red-Tailed Hawk site.. I couldn't find it in my favorites Deb really did watch this one! Last year I loved seeing the 2 fluffy little ones that hatched.
Thanks Megan - so I have Downy's here feeding from the suet block! Jenny said that the female doesn't have the patch of red on her head.
Saw one of our cardinals on the deck and he fed what I thought was a young one - But again Jenny said that the male will feed the female when courting.
Yes, Jo, the male cardinal is very attentive to his mate, just before nesting begins, as are many other birds. Have never seen the doves feeding it's mate, just a lot of HP:)
Morning, Mema Jo. I looked at our weather when you asked that, and either the weather has gone berserk or the channel has.
It jumped on refreshing from 58° to 73°! AND from the wind direction and the 80° prediction, it looks like an unpredicted Santa Ana condition ! BUT the scene outside is still cloudy, which would indicate some humidity ... not according to the weather channel ????????????????
I downloaded Firefox and uninstalled Adobe Reader and re-installed it, now, I don't even get the screen with the arrow circling around:( BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD...
Just peeking in. Have finished my walk and catching up on the blog, so that the blog will not be too much to catch up on later.
I, too, would not want to be separated during the winter, Wanda. Who would build my fire in the fireplace? Or warm my sheets before bed? Or bring me hot chocolate? I am spoiled, always admit it.
Easy to tell a red bellied from a Downy. I find it hard to tell the difference between the Downy and the Hairy woodpecker. We mostly get Red bellied and Hairy.
JIM...have you had any trouble getting our nest since you installed windows 7? I got a picture and no sound and after installing Firefox, I get nothing. Windows 7 has NOT impressed me!
It is now 61 and the sun finally came out. Good! Dry ground...dry, dry, dry. Laurel worked in one of her flower beds yesterday. She said it was like working in quick sand and when she dug a hole, it quickly filled with water. Yuk!
LOL, Lolly. Our seasons go like this: Spring, clean up yard and garden, plant garden, plant flowers, weed garden and flowers, etc. Summer, more gardening , more weeding, watering gardens, mowing grass, etc. Fall, rake leaves, get grounds ready for winter, get shop ready for Halloween...So, you can see why I like Winter...not much to do but sit back and enjoy the fireplace and some good TV shows and movies:)
Jo, this site has a video of a Hairy and Downy woodpecker on a suet block. The Hairy is much bigger, but a good way to tell is that a Downy has a very small beak, like a big thorn, whereas a Hairy has a very long bill, about as long as the head is wide from a side view. Hariy vs Downy
Redbellied are even bigger and have the red head Megan mentioned, very large patch on male, smaller patch or none on female. There is a reddish patch on very lower abdomen, thus the name redbellied
Thanks so much for the Woody info! Really explains it to me. Now for the other mystery on my deck
I have Scampy the squirrel who is a regular and sometimes he brings his buddy with him.... Scampy doesn't run when I open the deck door to hand out more peanuts.
Today I had another squirrel visit the 'peanut bar' (deck railing). Hubby had seen him before and I just couldn't imagine what he meant about this new squirrel having a RED tail! WOW! Had to open my eyes wide to believe it and missed getting a pic to share. He was a chubby normal sized squirrel but the outline fur of his tail was Blood Red. You would have sworn that he had just got caught in the red paint somewhere. Now Red Tailed Squirrels are NOT common to this area whatsoever. I have my camera ready for when he returns. Can any of you shed any light on this little guy?
I finally got the GHO cam up/running I read their blog which is very interesting and then I read their chat. Here is a link to some videos of Momma Owl leaving the nest IF you watch - then click upper right NEXT for some more viewing.
was just getting ready to post the difference Paula..... The Adobe Reader is for viewing Acrobat PDF files. The player you're referring to is probably Adobe Flash/Shockwave, a common form used within many web pages to provide interactivity and video.
the HELP on Outdoor Channel section has a clickable link that does it for you
Wanda, sorry I can't tell you that one...still have Windows XP. But I have had intermittent troubles with the live feed. Didn't load it this A.M. as there's not much happening.
It sure feels raw out....no indication of spring yet! Just found a branch down next to deck that is covered with huge globs of brown, slimy, gelatinous fungus. I've seen small globs before but these are really big....yuck!! Wonder what in the world good something like that can do for nature!
Well, Wanda, it took a while to stop the whirling arrow and start the timer (motion started before that this time), but I have moving picture and sound up now [:~D].
No technicolor though...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Paula is right ... except you do need the Adobe Reader for PDF documents and the like.
You can right click on the picture blank, click on the A. flashplayer 10 menu line, and it will take you to the right site and show you how to download it... takes a second.
Might be a good idea to restart your computer after all the earlier adding and deleting too.
I saw a shock of sunshine earlier this afternoon, shock it was...
Thanks for the links to the MN GHO and Deb's Red Tail Hawks, Jo and Mits...Deb also really liked the kestrel nest cam but I haven't seen any action there yet this year
they are well fed, Jim....your welcome Margy, yes she did like that cam, been thinking about Deb alot lately with all the action taking place, she would have loved it all.
regarding the young man I posted about at the very end of the last thread, my thoughts are with the Ellsworth family (Mason) as I know they knew this young man and had been to a benefit concert for him about three weeks ago. Music and Mason, go together and he was a musician... I am reposting the message here just for information
"On the last Mason update, the family mentioned a recent benefit concert for a musician, "Satch," - from Shepherdstown, formerly from Martinsburg, age 59 - was in my high school class. He passed away Saturday, brief battle with cancer. May we offer our prayers for his family and friends. obituary is in today's Martinsburg Journal Too young, too sad"
thanks for your kinds thoughts about this. I had not seen Danny, his real name, for many years but he was a good person, leaves a lot of family behind....
Shirley, I'm switching to Tide, I only get dimes and nickels.
Watched the video of Hope alone last night and she is soooo cute!
Thanks Lynne 2 for the comparison of woodpeckers. We're going to look closer the next time we see one. Why isn't it called red-headed instead of red-bellied? It's hard to see the belly when they're at the feeders.
Jim & I got our new specks today. Now we can see what we've been missing. Actually, he can't see anything and I OVERlook at lot. ☺
I had posted last week that I thought our Bob Q's cataract surgery was going to be today....my mind failed me on the date.... I had a nice email from him today and I don't think he would mind if I correct myself and tell you that it is NEXT week.....
Maybe we will hear from him and hear all about the Blackwater Festival...and see some pictures !!
I think in the morning I am going to undo all my Adobe stuff and start fresh as you have all been recommending, I was wondering about the Adobe reader and Flash thing...guess it will all come in one package if I follow what you are saying
frind of mine in NY says he has not seen any Tundra Swans flying through lately, maybe they are done with their migration :(
also, the peepers, might have hightailed it to higher ground i.e. - trees, until the waters recede a little, might explain why I have not heard them HERE except at the nest.
Diann, here is the Red Headed Woodpecker, a threatend species, but range is much of east, midwest and south. I have never seen one. Would probably pee my pants if I did! I often wondered why they called the Redbellied that particular name, but if you chance to see one's underneath, you'd know. I only just saw them at my suet feeders from below this past winter to see the red belly! redheaded woodpecker
Wanda, just go to the HELP section on the eagle cam...make sure you uninstall your present flash player, if you have it, as it, like they say in the instructions, may be corrupted. It is very easy to do. So glad they have those instructions on their site
Finished dinner and still reading my Birds & Blooms. I am watching to see if I can capture Momma Owl leaving her nest. About 15 viewers are doing the same!
Lynne...thanks so much for the comparison of woodpeckers. We thought we had the Hairy woodpecker coming all the time to suet, but maybe it is the Downy. Going to do some real looking! We also get the red bellied, but we know him!
Got the house in order and groceries bought. Ready for Laurel and the boys. ☺
Wanda, Zach has been accepted at a preschool and is on the wait list of two others. This is excellent news. Going to be interesting to see how he does.
Time now to go prepare dinner. Just wanted to say "Hi"!
Lolly- Sutton OKLAHOMA has 3 eggs and we should look for hatching of the eggs on or about March 26-30 (although they could hatch slightly earlier). Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well with the eggs. Mark your calendars.........
My Dear Friends I need your prayers. One of the German Ladies I did the pool therapy up in Winchester. Before I left I told the other German Lady to keep an eye on her she is loosing too much weight to fast. I just found out she is in serious condition with Cancer all through her body. Never a day sick very healthy person. Just Bang all at once went down hill FAST!!!! Her husband can't drive and he uses a walker.
I found out where she is at in Front Royal Virginia. I am leaving in the AM to go there to see her even if she doesn't know me. She was so strong having to take care of her husband.
It just breaks my heart. I will have to be strong like I did for Ed. When I see her pray PLEASE THAT I HOLD UP AND DO "NOT" BREAK DOWN. I can't do that in front of her. I have to be strong!!!!
Dana - have a safe journey - are you going alone? Carry your bible with you. Offer the situation up and He will see your kindness and you will do well for your friend! ((hugs)) ♥
Mema Jo we shared our faith in God at the pool. Since I am upset I've ask Mom to ride along with me. She is happy to do it for me. Louise is such a Godly Lady...I pray HE gives her peace.
Evening Everyone! Been on phone cafternoon + we/techie trying to get CD burner fixed. Didn't work---she's calling back tomorrow eve. AARRGGHH Next trick will be to determine why Live cam freezes 'puter, blocks all programs & even gets rid of icons, commands on desktop.Have all the right programs, I think. I'll have to contact their Help place if they have one. Have to turn off power to recover. Guess I'll stick w/Still. Forgot to mention saw & heard a dozen tundra swans Sat. at Park. And they took off to the South??!!
Helen, I tried what you suggested and that didn't work either. I don't think there is anything that I haven't tried. I'm almost willing to hire a Geek to figure this one out! Thanks for trying, dear:)
DANA, pray tonight that the Lord will give you the right words to say to this lady and they will come to you when you see her. Be strong for her if you can, but tears will be OK.
Did some shopping today. Have some new clothes for my boys. Got a couple of shirts for Joseph as well as shorts. Got Jacob a couple of shirts. He wears school uniforms, so not much need to get him a lot of stuff. Plus, he gets some of Joseph's hand me downs. Not all though...Joseph wears slims and Jacob regulars. Zach wears Huskys. They come in all sizes!
Think I am going to go try a new recipe. At the party yesterday at the winery, I asked the owner for her recipe for Bistro Pecans. We know her and she was more than gracious to share her recipe. She uses the pecans scattered on her salads and well as on plates to snack on.
Good late evening! Didn't mean to desert....took a panda nap after dinner, and then had 3 shows that took intense concentration!! Need to catch up now!
Dragging my tired caboose in here to let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, although I'm sure you've wondered by now! Had to drive to the desert house today, but got a very late start, because I was SO tired (probably the time change) I slept in very late! The house was still standing, and I made sure to change the time on the sprinkler timer, so all is OK. It was VERY windy going through Cajon Pass on the I-15--definite Santa Ana winds. It was windy up at the house, but only 66 degrees. Very breezy at home, but was 81 degrees here.
Our GGD, Sierra, turned 4 years old today! Wish we weren't so far away--but we called and sang Happy Birthday to her. She is SUCH a sweetie!
Well, I'm really tired, so think I will go unwind in front of the TV, and attempt to catch up on the blog tomorrow. Saying prayers for everyone. The porch light is on, the night light is burning brightly, and the eye scanner still works. Sleep tight, everyone, and God bless! Good night! :o]

Eagle on eggs called out then flew out about 4 minutes ago. Nest still empty.
so this is the 2nd time this a.m. they have been off the egg for an extended period of time???
Apparently, yes. Very odd that no one came back in when she flew out. She could be up in the tree, but egg has been uncovered since around 10:13. It's 45° and getting ready to rain again.
sounds like a few rain drops now...
Yeah, this isn't good. And it is raining on the uncovered egg now.
Radar shows a band of showers passing over us, with some heavier rains in it.
Eagle finally back -egg roll
Good morning everyone. Love your daffodil avatar Megan . Geeesh they need a break at that nest. Finally some sunshine this morning here in IL. Heading out for a while somewhere.

eagle gone again.
Sorry, just writing what I saw. Eagle calling out now, and off egg again, and just flew out of nest. Can hear eagle calling out in the distance.
eagle back
Looks like Belle is back.
So cute at NBG! I love it when they are so tiny! And, mom is so gentle feeding them.
Well, maybe actually male. I can't tell now. I'm still needing that lost hour of sleep. Gotta get some work done. Later
nice sun finally at the MN owl cam
somehow, I never seem to get the hour back:(, Megan
They are still having cam problems at NBG. It keeps freezing up. Anyone else have this problem? Then it went black. Hope it is them and not me!
NBG fine here.
Deb's Red Tail Hawk Cam
Deb loved this nest, it is in Portland...there are 3 eggs.
Me either, Mits. Woke up late today.
BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH!!

lol...Noah looks like a pancake.
Wow, how great for her sister, Mits. That's a pretty big honor.
BWE chicks all snugged up together :)
Sorry about your classmate, Margy. Prayers for his family.
LOL....Shirley is never going to live down the dirty/clean money!!
nice big fish at NBG

Nest Update
03/15/10:
We're waiting for the first appearance of an osprey -- or fish hawk -- on our cam. Last year, the first sighting happened on March 21.
Normally males return first and then the females. They do not spend their winters together, so they don't arrive together.
Interesting...not spending winters together. What if married couples did that? lol Might make spring more fun!
hmm, might work:)
Okay, I have to get serious about house cleaning today. Laurel and the boys will be here for the next few days!
Soooo...I am out of here. Have a great week. My wish for you is SUNSHINE!!!!
Congrats to Annie's sister, Mits....quite an honor!
I guess we should learn to write down the steps we take, Mits....of course, as we are doing them, we don't know if it's going to work until it DOES!
that is so true, Lynn:)
it was a nice night...all the kids were there....her little son Charlie, walked around the podium as she spoke...she is expecting another baby in August.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Have this whole day all to myself. Gene is checking in on GG and taking her lunch and supper! Thank you, Lord for putting him into my life:) I don't know if to get my work done or relax and have fun;)
Maybe a little of both.
Oh, no, Lolly! Must spend winter with hubby...fire in fireplace, cuddling to keep warm...most romantic time in the Wright household;)
I LOVE THIS:

Lynn, can't find your flood photos?
Love it when kids get in on the act and get their 15 min. of laughter!
Wanda, haven't posted pics yet. Choosing now!!
LOL, too funny Wanda!
Lynn, I write down the steps that I go through when solving a problem, then forget where I put the notes when I need them again. Trying to get more organized. I have more space to file things properly, now that we moved furniture around in my office. Gonna stick to it this time...getting too old to depend on my memory:)
OK, Lynn...love flood photos. Couldn't get any yesterday...no place to pull over out of traffic:(
That's a strange joke, Wanda!!! Not sure whether to laugh or just shake my head!!
My daughter sent the joke...she has been divorced now for 12 years and that is exactly the way she feels about her ex!
The joke is intitled THE DARK SIDE OF WOMEN...
Interesting about the Ospreys not wintering together, wonder how they find each other again. I guess they both head to their nest and wait until the mate gets there.
Learned my 'something new' today:)
Paula, did you get photos of the baby shower...are you going to share?
UH OH, afternoon and jammies are still on. Taking care of that right now.

Mits - that really sounds like a special occasion for the family - quite an honor for her and happy that so many of you got to attend the event
Well I get the live feed with commerical. That's all folks.
bbl
Shirley - let me know when you are going on a shopping spree - I don't mind having some clean dirty money to spend with a friend! lol
eagle at Lake Washington
both at LW now
Hate to say it, but I sure am not getting very good vibes about our egg....
Wanda, you really can stay in your jammies all day if you want to! That's part of retirement---you don't HAVE to do anything unless you want to!
I got my Birds & Blooms in the mail
The April - May issue
How do you tell the difference between a Downy and a Red-bellied woodpecker.
The red-bellied is on the cover and to me (unskilled eye) it looks like the woodpecker that comes to my suet out here on the deck. Guess I will need to google or bing and find out.
Feeding time at NBG
they are too darn cute
Catching up with your pics Loretta.
They are really great!

good MORNING In

Jim
A red bellied woodpecker is much bigger than a downy. And has a bright red head.
Thanks so much Mits for posting the Portland Red-Tailed Hawk site.. I couldn't find it in my favorites
Deb really did watch this one!
Last year I loved seeing the 2 fluffy little ones that hatched.
Thanks Megan - so I have Downy's here feeding from the suet block!
Jenny said that the female doesn't have the patch of red on her head.
Saw one of our cardinals on the deck and he fed what I thought was a young
one - But again Jenny said that the male will feed the female when courting.
Hi Jim! You have sunshine?
If so send it eastward!
Lynne said she thought she heard a hawk at the nest area. Maybe Lib and Belle have been chasing it off?!
That was my thought, Wanda. Guess we'll find out about our egg next week!
I really pray we get a little fuzz ball!
Okay, flood pics are up on my Lair!!
"More will be revealed."
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
Yuk!
I am off again....! BBL
LOL, Lolly. Our seasons go like this: Spring, clean up yard and garden, plant garden, plant flowers, weed garden and flowers, etc. Summer, more gardening , more weeding, watering gardens, mowing grass, etc. Fall, rake leaves, get grounds ready for winter, get shop ready for Halloween...So, you can see why I like Winter...not much to do but sit back and enjoy the fireplace and some good TV shows and movies:)
some lot of fussing at nest, hear adult, but egg is alone again....
OK adult back
Jo, this site has a video of a Hairy and Downy woodpecker on a suet block.
There is a reddish patch on very lower abdomen, thus the name
redbellied
Wanda try it with IE8 and see what happens.
Wanda Be sure you are installing Adobe Flash Reader
So cute how the little ones at BW actually have BALD looking heads!
I see another wiggle wiggle and pulling of fluff up around our eagle.
The lovely cowbird has arrived at my feeders!
The lovely cowbird has arrived at my feeders!
Sharon, was that 1 or 2 cowbirds ;)
Littlest one at BWE getting a good meal
I finally got the GHO cam up/running
I read their blog which is very interesting and then I read their chat.
Here is a link to some videos of Momma Owl leaving the nest
IF you watch - then click upper right
NEXT for some more viewing.
Link to ME Bound Owl in Eagles' nest
Wanda - you Need Adobe Flash Player, not adobe reader
was just getting ready to post the difference Paula.....
The Adobe Reader is for viewing Acrobat PDF files. The player you're referring to is probably Adobe Flash/Shockwave, a common form used within many web pages to provide interactivity and video.
the HELP on Outdoor Channel section has a clickable link that does it for you
that was great Jo, I never catch her off the nest to view the eggs
Nope, just one, don't know why it posted twice but we will just leave that!
Is that a sure sign of Spring, Sharon?
GHO leaves nest for about 9-10 min each evening at DUSK........
I've never seen her leave either, Mits.
Taking a break - feet up
Body still not used to this time!
BBILW
Good late afternoon.
Been studying domestic/family violence for next week. Still rainy and overcast. Wishing for sunshine.
Looks windy and lonely at our nest. Wonder about the egg being left so often as some of you have reported. Still hopeful.
Margy, sorry about your classmate.
Mits, congratulations to Annie's sister.
Jo, about that shopping trip with Shirley's clean money -- I can keep a secret.
Wanda, sorry I can't tell you that one...still have Windows XP. But I have had intermittent troubles with the live feed. Didn't load it this A.M. as there's not much happening.
I'll take a look now..
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
poor Mei Xiang is honking about something, usually does that when she is annoyed
must be tired and hungry, she is eating some bamboo now
It sure feels raw out....no indication of spring yet!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Paula is right ... except you do need the Adobe Reader for PDF documents and the like.
You can right click on the picture blank, click on the A. flashplayer 10 menu line, and it will take you to the right site and show you how to download it... takes a second.
Might be a good idea to restart your computer after all the earlier adding and deleting too.

Look how cute the two BWE chicks are today.

Good Afternoon Eagle ♀'s and ♂'s
I saw a shock of sunshine earlier this afternoon, shock it was...
Thanks for the links to the MN GHO and Deb's Red Tail Hawks, Jo and Mits...Deb also really liked the kestrel nest cam but I haven't seen any action there yet this year
xo
they are well fed, Jim....your welcome Margy, yes she did like that cam, been thinking about Deb alot lately with all the action taking place, she would have loved it all.
regarding the young man I posted about at the very end of the last thread, my thoughts are with the Ellsworth family (Mason) as I know they knew this young man and had been to a benefit concert for him about three weeks ago. Music and Mason, go together and he was a musician... I am reposting the message here just for information
"On the last Mason update, the family mentioned a recent benefit concert for a musician, "Satch," -
from Shepherdstown, formerly from Martinsburg, age 59 - was in my high school class. He passed away Saturday, brief battle with cancer. May we offer our prayers for his family and friends.
obituary is in today's Martinsburg Journal
Too young, too sad"
thanks for your kinds thoughts about this. I had not seen Danny, his real name, for many years but he was a good person, leaves a lot of family behind....
yes Margy, I remember when they said they were thankful to be going to a benefit where they could support someone else...sad:(, so young is correct.
finally have gotten the OK eagle cam up.
Hi everyone, just checking in and catching up.
Well, gotta check onthe cams. bbl
I had posted last week that I thought our Bob Q's cataract surgery was going to be today....my mind failed me on the date....
I had a nice email from him today and I don't think he would mind if I correct myself and tell you that it is NEXT week.....
Maybe we will hear from him and hear all about the Blackwater Festival...and see some pictures !!
got you in our thoughts, Bob ♥
yes Bob, good luck and good vision:)
Me Too Helen! Thanks for the alert..looks like sunshine there !
- trees, until the waters recede a little, might explain why I have not heard them HERE except at the nest.
egg check at OK
Magpie, the swans are here in PA working their way north.
I read the posts where our egg had some solitary moments today...
Nice pictures, Lynn
ah yes, Honeywood, remember seeing that kind of stuff when my sister lived there
Wanda, hope you are enjoying your day .... Gene is something else !
Time to get ready for work now, 12 hours tonight :(
Best wishes for a good evening, everyone
xo ☺ ♥
good Diann...listen to them for me, because I have missed them...
☺
Jim, the chicks are 2 days apart, so it's hard to tell at this age what their sex is...
Magpie, the Reader and the FlashPlayer are separate softwares for different purposes.
You can get both separately by going to Adobe.com and searching around or by googling them one by one.
I don't think it should be necessary to mess with the Reader for our purposes on these nestcams. [:~D]
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
I think Bob's surgery is the 22nd.
I have Adobe Reader 9.3. Is that the same as Adobe Flash Reader?
Heading out to dinner with the family, see ya later this evening!
No Wanda, they are different
Google adobe flash player, you want to download version 10
Hello eagle momsters and dadsters.
Here you go Wanda
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Wanda, you have mail....
Thanks Lynne2, there is definitely a difference and I never saw one.
Haven't seen a cowbird for quite a while but do not miss them. Other than the color of their feathers I don't like the grackles either.
Megan, help! I noticed on the alley side of the house (north-west) my daffodils are up only about 3 inches, but they have buds. What happened???
Sorry;;, that was a duplicate.
Wanda, just go to the HELP section on the eagle cam...make sure you uninstall your present flash player, if you have it, as it, like they say in the instructions, may be corrupted. It is very easy to do. So glad they have those instructions on their site
they also tell you if it does not work to contact them.
eagle calling...
probably needs a break...
feeding time at NBG...2 big fish in the nest
Finished dinner and still reading my Birds & Blooms. I am watching to see if I can capture Momma Owl leaving her nest. About 15 viewers are doing the same!
WOW! Just saw Noah stretch out!
He sleeps so much that I know he is
growing in his sleep!
yeah I'm watching too, Jo
Good evening!
Noah is up for his feeding.
I wish that as superb as the day cam is at NBG so would be the night time cam.
Can't imagine not being able to get an IR light on the nest.
Margy, so excited!! Sutton came up with no problem. Wahoo!!!! I do believe it was their problem and not mine!!!
both eagles at Lake Washington
now just 1, doing big time nestorations
Mits - I refreshed my MN Owl cam due to it having stopped and now I have
LOST it.......trying to get it back.
same here, Jo it stopped now can't get it back...off to fix dinner
Lolly- Sutton OKLAHOMA has 3 eggs and
we should look for hatching of the eggs on or about March 26-30 (although they could hatch slightly earlier). Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well with the eggs.
Mark your calendars.........
Egg roll and on still cam looks like both our eagles in the nest!
Better turn live feed on
Our eagle has head tucked in wing...
I think I was having double vision on the still cam........ lol
Prayers for you and for the lady, Dana.
I can't get the owl cam to play either :(
Good evening, everyone.
Prayers for you, Dana. I am sure your efforts will be appreciated by your friend and her family.
Dana - have a safe journey - are you going alone? Carry your bible with you. Offer the situation up and He
will see your kindness and you will do well for your friend! ((hugs)) ♥
OK have MN owl nest up....anyone know if she has left yet or not?
Mema Jo we shared our faith in God at the pool. Since I am upset I've ask Mom to ride along with me. She is happy to do it for me. Louise is such a Godly Lady...I pray HE gives her peace.
Thank you all for you prayers.
Am turning in early.
Prayers for all who need them.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please set the alarm when you leave tonight. Thank you.
owl off nest, can see the eggs!
I have skimmed over as many messages as possible tonight. It is another busy week here, so I am going to say good night.
Bless you, my friends.
Jo the owl eggs are in view now
Evening Everyone!
Dana, you have my thoughts and prayers in your mission of kindness.
Gotta finish kitchen stuff--pack lunch & pray for something besides rain!!!
Helen, I tried what you suggested and that didn't work either. I don't think there is anything that I haven't tried. I'm almost willing to hire a Geek to figure this one out!
Thanks for trying, dear:)
darn, Wanda:(:(:(
DANA, pray tonight that the Lord will give you the right words to say to this lady and they will come to you when you see her. Be strong for her if you can, but tears will be OK.
Lynne & Mits
I missed it....... :<(
I am really happy you two caught it!
I just came back on - yep! I was searching thru FB. Checking on my kids!
Lynn - did you get kicked off again....
Damages is on in 16 minutes......
Headed into TV for the show
Damages - see what the ongoing saga
will develop into this evening...
BBILW
egg roll wiggle wiggle
just a thought Wanda....have you checked you speaker/volume settings or are you able to get sound on other things?
head all tucked in for the night....and I think I'll do the same! Prayers for you all and have a good night!
Sorry you missed the eggs Jo.
Got pecans...will cook!
Good late evening! Didn't mean to desert....took a panda nap after dinner, and then had 3 shows that took intense concentration!! Need to catch up now!
Loretta, maybe the swans just wanted to survey the area before turning north!
Prayers for your friend, Dana. Have a safe trip.
Can tell that Judie and Shirley are just slam wore out...:(
Dedicated teachers do get slam worn out! Bless them!
Finished the pecans. mmmmmmm...they are good!
Hi, Everyone!
Good night! :o]
WOW Just in time to hit the
