Good morning to all on this beautiful St. Paddy's Day. Hope you are wearing your green---or orange for us Protestants, as the case may be! Quite chilly here to start, but supposed to make it into the 60's.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Thank you Jim for the OLD IRISH BLESSINGS I like that!
Corned beef and cabbage and something green to drink. YUMMY Think they can make an Mango Margarita green. I like that too. I don't have time to cook it tonight, but hubby and I will find it somewhere. ^..^

EarthCam and affiliate TGI Friday's on 5th Ave @ 48th St. bring the internet the full motion view of the famous tribute to the Irish as it happens from 11am until 4pm EDT on Wednesday, March 17.
So cool- just spent 15 minutes watching an adult bald eagle soaring over the house and yard. Very low at first, then soaring higher and eventually disappearing on the horizon.
well, I decided not to do a zoo, shift today, didn't have too, but will go to their meeting tonight, anxious to see and hear Tai Shan's keeper if she is there, and any and all updates on Mei...which pretty much are no news at this point.
Yeah, cool sight to see. always. Right before eagle flew by tundra swans flew over. I missed them. When he saw the eagle he had to call me though:) back to my seeds...
I was wondering about your health because of your comment yesterday about a sore throat. You'll need to go get your antibiotics... TODAY!
Remember the video of Andrew (thnking about him while watching all these drum units marching by in the parade)at the football game with the small group of drummers....? Send it to me or put it on FB......
GOOD MORNING....AFTERNOON:) I'm under the hairdryer, putting on makeup and trying to blog...not working too well. Have a dentist appt. at 2pm. Visit with GG after teeth cleaning. Spent the morning typing and copying flyers for church Soup Kitchen. Who says you can relax when you'r retired? I guess after the initial set-up with soup kitchen, we won't be so busy. It's working well with Gene & I being co-chairs. While I was typing flyers, he was at the church meeting with pastor. By George, I think we got it!:) BBL
Andrew, Kelsey and her family are going to Bristol this weekend to the race. I am hoping to meet them in Wytheville after the race for dinner. Miss that boy.
ok 40 views, total I guess viewing recently was 16,000, could not believe there was really that many...just showing the dad a few minutes ago, beautiful dogs
this is her 3rd litter, I would love to have one of them, but just don't have the time, or inclination for dogs anymore...or the strength it takes to take care of them
i'M back from my "make-up-the-sleep-time nap". I really just laid down to relax some kinks in my back from sitting in front of the computer too long.
Anyway, that's a very hot drum scene, Sharon. ...Very hot. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes, Mits, as a youth I was blessed to see the birthing of several litters, dogs and cats.
One of our pets, Taffy, a Cocker Spaniel-terrier mix, used to sleep on the foot of my bed, which I usually liked because I could tuck my feet under her and keep nice and warm.
But one night I kind of came half awake and lay there with the nagging fear that I had wet my bed ... something I hadn't done for several years. You guessed it, it turned out that Taffy was giving birth to a litter of six beautiful little puppies.
We had a heck of a time cleaning up, but it was worth it.
It's nearly 80° out here today, and some of the Island eagles are taking steps to cool off. In fact the Two Harbors parent is off the eggs and sunning and airing out its front side.
going to head out to Morgan County soon, I know I will hear Spring Peepers there !!
Remember, baby moon and Venus, didn't see moon last night so maybe tonight.
Also...maybe Northern Lights ?? Jo sent me a msg about slight chance of seeing them in our area tonight and/or tomorrow night. Huzza Huzza that would be way cool
Aaron said: Slight chance of the Northern Lights being visible from our area tonight and/or tomorrow night... I remember seeing these from Bakerton back in 2003/2004 when I lived there.
Play Time - Alexis has arrived In her green shirt with a beautiful shamrock on the front. She is bringing me a Dr Seuss book that she can read! Hop on Pop!
whew, been outside all day! Got lots done, but never ceases to amaze me how much MORE I can find to do!
Megan, sounds like that eagle must have been roosting or resting in a nearby tree and was riding the thermals up...so cool!
Sharon, I sure hope you feel better. Better still, I sure wish you had some insurance....Megan too.
Will be on the lookout for the Auroras tonite! Saw them here...uh, maybe it was around 2003. Just beautiful colors in the sky...not quite moving, but yellow, red, orange and blue and green. I sat and watch for a couple of hours. The first time I saw it, funny story-I came out of the apartment to watch for a meteor shower and was supposed to watch toward the south. I came out, saw red column in northern sky and though, hmmm, something must be on fire over there. Turned my chair around to face south, watched for meteors, didn't see any. Next morning on the news, they were talking about how the area had a rare aurora show! DUH!
Jo, where do we look for the ISS? Northern lights are awesome...been a long time since I have seen them. Sometimes there isn't very much color. Did Alexis have a fun time with Mema?
What a small world it is! I just read back over today's comments and read where JIM had a cocker spaniel named TAFFY...so did I. My very first dog, I was 12. He was taffy colored, thus the name:)
Hello all, I don't want to jinx it ;), but we're getting strong interest from a potential sponsor for Pete's Pond. And we've gotten funding assured to keep the cam going at least through May while we work on that. I'm feeling more optimistic in general . . . Kyler
I haven't seen Pete's Pond for a long time. My old, failing 'puter wouldn't allow me to go there or much of anywhere else. BUT...I could get our Live Feed and sound!
I posted on youtube the other night a recording of Pat singing with the Hollies on The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony and have had over 900 hits. I recorded it with the camera set up pointed at the TV. So funny there have been so many hits.
Well at the appointed time I was out on the deck looking all over the sky because I didn't know exactly where to look for an ISS. I think I saw lots of bright stars and about 3 blinking airplanes. I don't think I saw any ISS....
Alexis has a very fun time from face painting down at Bob Evans by Ms Susan to ice cream back at the house and then I even allowed some bed jumping with lots of giggles!
well, I went outside just now to check the sky and SLAM.....SKUNK STINK. It's close, and it's HORRIBLE. And I still have to take Daisy out for her bedtime walk :p
There is a very pale blue tint to the northern sky but nothing so as that I can say for sure that I am seeing Aurora light. Will check later....have to go find gas mask first.
My cocker's name was Boomer. He was named by my former boyfriend after Boomer Esiason (sp?) the football player. He's been gone for years now and I still miss him. The dog that is, NOT the boyfriend.
And what is up with the Stinkbugs??? Good grief we have them everywhere...yuk.
North sky no longer has pale blue tint...probably just something normal, but I'll check again at 10:17 as well.
Just think, this time next week we could have a little Palmer!
Heading to bed, prayers for all and have a good night!
Jo, you have to look where they say to look for the station, direction from and to, and degrees off the horizon. It is a steady light, not blinking, that goes pretty fast across the sky, usually 2 mins or less. And they come thru at the time they say they are!
Late Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Don't send out an alert---been falling asleep in TV chair after dinner. Don't do early mornings very well! TU AM at Park, about 100 tundra swans flew over. I didn't get to see or hear them, but a couple staff outside did. Greg K said they're going to Alaska.(But I didn't get to ask 'em.) LOL Dell techie lady I talked to Mon. PM, took my money, didn't get burner problem solved & said she would call me back TU PM. NOT! I'll call tomorrow.Hate to waste my day off ~~~wanted to go somewhere. Oh well. Then I'll tackle the little Mykonos donkey. Older cat has gotten it open at the seams & is removing stuffing. Needs a sewing repair.
I had so much fun using WORD PAD this morning...I don't think I had that on my old computer. The things that you can do with it are awesome! Trying to figure out a way to draw verticle lines on a flyer...reward to anyone that can help me:)
Sleep time here for both of us Wrights.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
Last night I removed & reinstalled Adobe Flash from the link on the Outdoor Cam page & it's worse---still getting a horrifying window saying Error # 1009 has occurred--can not access. If I try to get rid of the window I can see nest for short while, but stops & window keeps popping. aarrgghh It was fine til about a month ago?!
Wanda - don't know why you want the verticle lines....try doing it in word...you can put a border around the whole thing, use different formats, tables etc, they already have template in place etc...don't know if that's what you are looking for or not
P.S. Tried Live just for the heck of it, & it's singing "Back in the Saddle Again"!!! Ad for RVing..stupid Error window has aq button that says Dismiss, so if I keep clickig that, they go away & I can see nest! DUH
Phooey - just missed about everyone, was reading all the news on here first.
I was lucky, James and I saw Grinning Baby Moon AND ISS, I take the chart with me, was actually higher than you would think when it says 30-degrees....
Also heard Peepers where I thought would in Morgan County...now, for some Tundra Swans and I'll be all set
haven't seen the Northern lights yet...might have too much city light here, but I DID see those red ones several years ago... and green ones when I was about 5.. going to go out and look again...and take a baseball bat with me in case I find and People Peepers !!
wonder if there is ANY possiblility that the Eagle hovering over Megan's roost today could have been Belle or Liberty ??
Wow, I need to go somewhere to see the Tundra Swans...did see a high flying group of about 10 yesterday evening, but they seemed to be dark colored and too far away for me to hear if they were making a noise
Boys are in bed, Laurel and Jack are reading. Just had to get on and take a peek at the blog, fb and Lily.
Had a great time at the museum today. It the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, mainly a children's museum. They tore the old one down and this was the first time for us to go to the new one. Really fun!
Then we went shopping. I got both boys new shoes and socks. Have had a great couple of days. They are heading home in the morning. I'll be back on the blog tomorrow. Haven't even seen the cams during the day!
Latest report on Natalie. Surgery went well, but she has had some kind of complication with recovery. She was receiving blood today.
Starting to fall asleep sitting here. Better say good night.
Hi, Gang, I've dragged myself home from school. Think I did well on the test. Thank you for all your prayers!
Judie, congrats are in order for your gymnasts! Bet they were happy to see you there. I'm sure your support means a lot to them.
Ewwwwww--Spidey is right over the cam! Can hear eagle conversation, but have no idea what's happening. Spidey, move your bloomin' butt!
Gonna go veg in front of the TV. Prayers being said for everyone. Sharon, try the neti pot--my daughter SWEARS by it! Fixed her right up! Itchy ears~~don't know what works for that. Trying some prayers, for sure! The night light is on, the porch light is automatic, the eye scanner works, and Spidey is apparently guarding the door, too! Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. G'night, and God bless! Love all you guys! :o]
Lolly, sorry to hear about Natalie....prayers for sure. My gosh I hope it isn't too serious....
Glad you did well on your tests Andy!
Margy, keep the curtains closed! I just bet it was Lib or Belle at Megan's. Or at least I like to think so.
Guess I'll head back to bed. Wasn't sure why I woke up but very clear now my back hurts pretty bad....maybe over did outside today. But so what...my checks are pink and my place is looking good!
Rest of Today Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds around 5 mph. » ZIP Code Detail Tonight Mostly clear in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s. That forecast rocks! It is beautiful outside this morning:) Heard my phoebe for the first time this year and got a flock of red wing blackbirds here. Hope you're feeling better sista Sharon... Have a great day everybody!
Bird inventory this morning: Juncos, goldfinches, downy woodpecker, cardinals, mourning doves, TV flew overhead, starlings, crows, chipping sparrows, white-throated sparrow, bluebird - and what a beautiful blue that is, blue jay.
Norma said something about having trouble with the blog when I talked to her a couple of days ago....wasn't sure what she meant....Happy Birthday to her Laura!

Thank you Jim for the OLD IRISH BLESSINGS I like that!
Corned beef and cabbage and something green to drink. YUMMY Think they can make an Mango Margarita green. I like that too. I don't have time to cook it tonight, but hubby and I will find it somewhere. ^..^
Not ignoring you all. Sun too bright shining in office picture window to see well enough to stay at puter!!
Shirley, Judie and Deb - You three could combine your teaching experiences and come up with a best seller! Some of your stories are really amusing.
Lynn that is the best excuse ever -
SUNSHINE!

Megan - guess your spirits were running high at that sighting.. I think Lib knows where you live!
Lots and Lots and Lots of drumming going on at the parade. I love it!
Yeah, cool sight to see. always. Right before eagle flew by tundra swans flew over. I missed them. When he saw the eagle he had to call me though:)

It's working well with Gene & I being co-chairs. While I was typing flyers, he was at the church meeting with pastor. By George, I think we got it!:)

Wiggle wiggle back on the egg
Up and calling out
I hear a response...and off he went
I can hear an eagle peeping still
Belle in from the right
Little bit of digging, now arranging the fluff
Baby Moon is really a bright sliver..
Maybe in about 30 minutes I will see the ISS pass over.
FYI:
Hello all, I don't want to jinx it ;), but we're getting strong interest from a potential sponsor for Pete's Pond. And we've gotten funding assured to keep the cam going at least through May while we work on that. I'm feeling more optimistic in general . . . Kyler
T-Bird's grandmom had a cocker named Taffy too!
So, what is the remedy for itching ears and throat??
Egg roll happening our nest!
Up and listening to the egg :)
Now digging in the fluff, gotta keep it fluffy...

Missed it here! You, too, probably, Wanda. Will try for tomorrow evening!
Sharon, You Tube wouldn't let me listen to or see Andrew...said I needed Adobe Flash Player...I have all three of them.
Another Taffy cocker...isn't that something? My Taffy got shot by a hunter:(
Sinus issues... use a neti pot, take mucinex, use a nasal spray...
Gargle with warm salt water, Sharon. Don't know about itchy ears!!
WE nest feed finally looking much better...egg count there is 2

There is a very pale blue tint to the northern sky but nothing so as that I can say for sure that I am seeing Aurora light. Will check later....have to go find gas mask first.
Just remembered that my best friend in Jr. Hi had a cocker named Taffy, too! Popular name.
Stink bugs are bad enough - Skunks are the worst!
My tan cocker was named Sandy
Original huh?
Looks like BWE mom is using the little ones for her pillow.........
I remember some photos of little ones looking like fluffy bedroom slippers up at the Kent cam one year!
I couldn't find specific info about the a.b., but what I did find all said 22:17.....so 10:17 PM is when I will take another look!
I read tonight that Duke farms eagle nest is finally back on. 2 eggs this year. Can't see it now, no night lite.
From www.dukefarms.org
Two eggs are confirmed in the nest during trials of the new Eagle Cam system on March 9; they are thought to be have been laid around February 20.
Jo, you have to look where they say to look for the station, direction from and to, and degrees off the horizon. It is a steady light, not blinking, that goes pretty fast across the sky, usually 2 mins or less. And they come thru at the time they say they are!
My brother had a cocker named Lou, one named Dale (after Earnhardt of course) and now is Russell or Rusty.
Back home.
GW gymnasts won best overall and had several tied individual scores. Senior night -- three of the four are my students.
Jo, happy you and Alexis had such a fun time and don't forget to go back outside to look for the ISS -- almost time.
Sharon, feel better, okay?
Sorry about the stink bugs. Hope they don't decide to show up here.
Long day so turning my light off. Leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please set our alarm when you come in and then chill after your exam.
No colors in the sky from here... :(
Judie, your girls did great! Congrats to them.
Ewwww, spidey
This seems like a long evening...
Think I am going to chill out and play some solitaire..........
Be back to say good night
Jo, ISS for you tomorrow evening is 8:58pm in the WNW sky at 60º. It is supposed to be very bright.
Late Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Don't send out an alert---been falling asleep in TV chair after dinner. Don't do early mornings very well!
TU AM at Park, about 100 tundra swans flew over. I didn't get to see or hear them, but a couple staff outside did. Greg K said they're going to Alaska.(But I didn't get to ask 'em.) LOL
Dell techie lady I talked to Mon.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Last night I removed & reinstalled Adobe Flash from the link on the Outdoor Cam page & it's worse---still getting a horrifying window saying Error # 1009 has occurred--can not access. If I try to get rid of the window I can see nest for short while, but stops & window keeps popping. aarrgghh
It was fine til about a month ago?!
Well news time, so I must say Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Wanda - don't know why you want the verticle lines....try doing it in word...you can put a border around the whole thing, use different formats, tables etc, they already have template in place etc...don't know if that's what you are looking for or not
Oh, just noticed Lynn's directions for finding ISS.
Thanks, lady♥
Paula, I need to make columns the length of a sheet of paper. I am new to all these goody thing on Windows 7 and having a lot of brain scrambles.
P.S. Tried Live just for the heck of it, & it's singing "Back in the Saddle Again"!!! Ad for RVing..stupid Error window has aq button that says Dismiss, so if I keep clickig that, they go away & I can see nest! DUH
You can get those in Word.
Wanda, I think Word Pad has always been a feature in MS programs....I never used it.
Loretta, too bad you missed seeing the swans. Alaska??? I would have thought Canada on this side of the country!
I will say my goodnights now, too. Can't wait for tomorrow afternoon----haircut!!! Feel so shaggy.
Rest well, dear friends. Have I told you lately that I love all y'all? And that's no blarney!! ♣ ♣ ♣
Or Works...easier to use...look under your programs....for microsoft works, then templates, it can put things in columns for you.
If you want a blank piece of paper with columns, then do it in a spreadsheet and format the column borders.
Hitting the hay, see ya'll tomorrow!
Hugs to all ♥
Lynn ISS was only 30° tonight - maybe too low for me to see??? I'll try again tomorrow..
Great accomplishments for your gymnastic gals, Judie! I'm sure they were proud to see you there.
Sharon - sure hope you feel better but I think you're going to need some meds!
I am really thankful for our weather the past couple days and even more ahead for this week. It's easy for the birds!
Heading down the hallway
Good Night and Prayers for All
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Phooey - just missed about everyone, was reading all the news on here first.
I was lucky, James and I saw Grinning Baby Moon AND ISS, I take the chart with me, was actually higher than you would think when it says 30-degrees....
Also heard Peepers where I thought would in Morgan County...now, for some Tundra Swans and I'll be all set
I do NOT Want any Peepers here in the neighborhood, peeping Toms that is !!
Good Night to any Night Owls still hanging around...

haven't seen the Northern lights yet...might have too much city light here, but I DID see those red ones several years ago...
and green ones when I was about 5..
going to go out and look again...and take a baseball bat with me in case I find and People Peepers !!
bird moving around in our nest some
EAGLE bird that is...
wonder if there is ANY possiblility that the Eagle hovering over Megan's roost today could have been Belle or Liberty ??
Wow, I need to go somewhere to see the Tundra Swans...did see a high flying group of about 10 yesterday evening, but they seemed to be dark colored and too far away for me to hear if they were making a noise
Judie, sound like a good gymnast program...hope Darth enjoyed the outfits as well as the performance
Hoping that you feel better soon, Sharon...
hope some of the home remedies work for you
Sounds like Luna is making a nice recovery, Shirley
Prayers for all our needs here, as I know there are many....
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ☺ ♥
Everyone is heading "down the hall".
Sweet dreams for all! Nite!
Hi, Gang,
I've dragged myself home from school.
