Thanks Sharon for answering my question about Norma. Maybe we will see her on here today.

glo said...

Good morning everyone. Glad to know Norma is OK Bless her heart. she won't complain to us anyway if something were going on.

I can't use the live feed it just does a number on my computer. Have hard very hard time with desktop last couple of days so didn't pull it up at all yesterda. Restarted computer twice before it ran ok. and haven't loaded live feed since. I will watch Paulas videos and still cam. It is what it is.

To start your day with a smile

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

You are welcome Dana.

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, all!

Check out that nice fish in the nest.

Is everyone's cam still down? Just the spinning circle?

paula eagleholic said...

I got an email from outdoor acknowledging my email from last night about the cam being down...

ceil said...

Glo that is adorable.

wvgal_dana said...

GloThat wasn't a smile that was a BIG CHUCKLE thank you so much.lol

Good Morning Paula ( :
I was getting the live feed just fine. Then it froze. Then reconnected to it. Now all I get is "as the world turns".

Showing 2 eggs that I can see. One egg has a nice size hole in it http://www.pfalzstorch.de/bilder/live1.html or
Storks in Germany

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning in Eagleland Ceil. Hope you/we can get the live feed back.

Paula you seem to have a good connection. Can you send off an email please?

Stork is turning eggs in Germany.

wvgal_dana said...

Things look very wet at BWE.

floralgirl said...

Live spinning arrow here again....

wvgal_dana said...

Stork just laid down on I guess it is only 2 eggs.

paula eagleholic said...

I sent an email to outdoor about the spinning circle...

wvgal_dana said...

Megan is opening of Shepherdstown market this weekend; which I think someone commented too?

I will need to get some pretty hummer plants for my baskets this year. After Mothers Day probably.

Oh Megan my next door neighbor whom I've told about you. Wanted to know do you do any hanging baskets?

Mits said...

good moring everyone.....roflmbo, that was awesome, Glo

hedgie said...

Good late AM, one and all.
See two adults and 3 fishies in our nest, along with excellent color on the still cam!!
Temp has fallen here to 37.

Mits said...

from under the spinning cam....

Fri, Mar 26 2010 - There is currently an issue with the internet connection from the live cam, so the EagleCam live feed may be up and down this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to get the issue resolved soon. Thank you for your patience.

hedgie said...

Glo, that lyre bird is hysterical!! Thanks.

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning All!
Glo - that did start my morning off really well! ROFL That Lyre bird is something else.

Saw both adults with Palmer as they made a switch on the still cam.

BBILW - need to play catch up!

Dana - Farmer's Market start Apr 4

kickngbird said...

From what I can tell - still cam is great when live feed is down, but there are gaps in the story! - I think Lib brings the fresh catch in and lays it closer to camera (bountiful catch today) and Belle takes the stash mostly away from the cam ... is that what others have seen?

hedgie said...

Thanks for update, Mits. Sure hope issue is resolved before the weekend.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

"Like a spinning ball in the middle of space, I love you from your toes to your face!" Couldn't resist, lyrics from Train's If It's Love! :)

wvgal_dana said...

Mits I was thinking about your comment from Outdoor. Where they said "up and down". Then I thought of our spinning circle. The up and down and spinning around must be a new amusement ride but I don't like that ride :(

glo said...

LOL ONLY YOU Sharon

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

And Glo, they also have a version of "Only You" that is a new CBS theme song! LOL!

Mema Jo said...

Palmer isn't so little anymore - sure can see him well in the nest even with all that fluff!

wvgal_dana said...

BWE is letting the 2 chicks laying partly outside her. Maybe to dry out.

wvgal_dana said...

Norma there is not too many Donkeys out at Bonaire.

paula eagleholic said...

Hi Paula

The NCTC guys confirmed that there’s an issue with the internet connection serving the live feed upload. Looks like it’s presently down, so the EagleCam may be available up and down this morning as they fix the issue. I’ll put a notice up on the page to let people know. Thanks for your patience.

paula eagleholic said...

Glad ya'll got the notice!

Kickingbird, yup, Lib catches em, drops em off, and heads out for more :)

That was my deleted comment - called her Meg instead of Molly

hedgie said...

Sun has appeared!
I have 2 hyacinths blooming!! Scrawy, but smell delicious anyway.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, that is a tad bit dark. Hope they are still adjusting color and brightness and are not done. Or is it fixin to storm in S-town?

Mema Jo said...

I can't get the Oklahoma cams up..
Wanted to see them... Oh Well.

paula eagleholic said...

1st Eaglet hatched at Caltrans! Looking good!

hedgie said...

NBG eaglets all alone.

Mema Jo said...

Up/running with the live feed
Really dark.... hope they can lighten it up

paula eagleholic said...

It says right under the cam that camera settings have been adjusted to allow for a better color balance...

paula eagleholic said...

Live feed does have better color!

Probably look much better in the bright sun now.

paula eagleholic said...

Let's wait and see how it looks in brighter sunshine, hopefully won't be so washed out.

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, NCTC for getting the live feed back up so quickly...

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I don't have that statement under my live cam feed. It still says there is an issue with the internet connection.

Costume Lady said...

Bright sunshine and blue skies here near Shepherdstown...no live feed, yet, for me.

floralgirl said...

No storm here, it is cloudy, but the sky has actually brightened up.

Sheptown Farmers market starts April 3rd, not 4th.

stronghunter said...

Good morning! George was good. He did not bother me. Maybe he heard us talking about him last night, or maybe he had a tummy ache, because when I did feed him, he upchucked and hasn't fussed about wanting more food. I crawled back into my bed after feeding him, and just now got up again, but might not stay up long. I guess I was more tired than I realized.

I have the still cam up. The live cam immediately froze up everything, and I had to shut it down.

Missing our cheerful Norma.

Congratulations to West Virginia!

Ragdoll said...

Hello My Eagle Friends!!! When are they going to fix the live feed. I haven't had my little Palmer fix today.

I am at school. I have on a bullet proof vest, Helmet, knee and elbow pads, safety glasses and pepper spray. LOL

Students are doing pretty well today. A lot of students are sad. Some of the sudents (males) joke about it. It's there way of processing. It's so fresh on there minds. When my classes come in we all spend a little time to talk about it. That way, they get it out and can focus.

stronghunter said...

Really want to see that little one.

Mema Jo said...

WOW How could I have made that error of dates! Especially when my calendar already is boldly marked for the 3rd.
The 4th is Easter -
I saw Rick's notice on FB
Will you be there for the ribbon cutting, Megan?

stronghunter said...

Yes, Deb, you have to let them talk about it. I think even a group of adults would need to do that.

stronghunter said...

We did find a news story online last night about the incident, Deb. Big school.

wvgal_dana said...

I just got back from putting clothes in washer. Haven't read new comments.

BWE chicks are being fed.

floralgirl said...

Jo, that wasn't Rick's notice, he is a fan and was just commenting on it. The notice was posted by the Shepherdstown Farmers Market...
I will be there for the ribbon cutting. Not quite ready to sell yet, don't think. Still not sure when I'll start. Back to work...

Mema Jo said...

Paula this is the comment on Live Feed
Can you email Outdoor and get them to try to lighten up the image??

Fri, Mar 26 2010 1140EDT - The internet connection issue has been resolved and camera settings have been adjusted to allow for better color balance. Thanks for your patience.

paula eagleholic said...

I don't know about you all, but my live feed is really bogging down this computer today...I had to shut it off...maybe home computer will do better.

I think it looks like it did in the beginning...so you either have darker with color or lighter and washed out w/ no color.

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Megan for the Market update and your plans for your plants/flowers.

stronghunter, We had a quick staff meeting this morning. Was good for all of us. We are getting strick with students about "hallway passes". Some teachers tend to get slack towards the end of school year.

I live in York County. Popularizion has more then doubled in past years. Sanford needs larger schools. Some classes are being held in 14 portables at the High School. Elementary Schools also have portables.

People who work in Boston are building here and commute the hour or so to jobs

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Thank you Mema Jo. The strongest bird in the world is the African Crowned Eagle.

Judie said...

Good very late afternoon.

Sounds like everyone has been having a good day. Cold and rainy here with some wind. Can't wait for warmer weather.

Got a look at Palmer peeping and being fed.

Checked some other nests and all seems quiet. Didn't seem like a hatch at TH.

Faculty meeting was interesting this time. Police program is offering the opportunity to continue teaching in-class in person AND taking our courses completely online. Going online will allow teaching of police officers from any location in the U.S. As I am basically technology challenged, I will meet with a curriculum expert sometime in May to figure out how to offer my course online. Bit different from typical courses as I deal with violent offenders and psychological profiling. Should be interesting. Also would provide an opportunity to stay engaged and busy if I decide to end my GWU career in December.

Headed to Kennedy Center tonight -- Tyne Daly as Maria Callas -- I think without the singing part.

Cherry blossoms are beginning to pop - already looking beautiful in pink.

Dressed up ham/cheese samiches tonight.

Best to Joey for a quick recovery.

Glo, THANK YOU for the Lyrebird link!
What an amazing talent that bird has!
ROFLMBO!!! He should go on American Idol!

Got a good look at Palmer a couple minutes ago, in spite of the darker picture, and golly--he's holding that little bobble head of his up really well! Getting stronger by the minute!
(Thanks, no doubt, to the excellent care he's getting from Mom & Dad!)

Well, gotta run--will BBL tonight. Say, SOOOO good to hear from Norma!

Just got Flash for the weekend. He is not a happy camper right now. Crying for his people. They are off to Luray for the weekend.

stronghunter said...

Flash is a basset hound. They have two bassets. They took Luna with them, but Tom's parents have a passel (5?)of cats. Not a good place for Flash.

One of their cats is an attack cat. Belle likes neither people nor dogs. I can tell you that from personal experience. She decided that I was not allowed to enter the bathroom at their house. She might slash the poor little guy to shreds. Luna should be okay. She will not bother the cats.

About Belle: Tom's mother will laugh and say, "She's just got you buffaloed." Yep. I am afraid of that cat. It will actually come after you. (I think Luna will be okay--and Tom, Kathryn, and Hunter.)Last time we were there, Belle bit a guest we brought when she tried to pet her.

Chirping at our nest.

Hi all! I am at Laurel's and the boys are out playing.

Surgery went well but he is in a lot of pain. Really was not a hernia but they call it that??? The ligaments holding his inards in had given out. They cut him open big time, removed the ligaments and put in a wall of mesh to hold him in. Surgery went well. However, Joey is a BIG guy (6'6" and heavy, so he had to moved himself to his bed. Laurel said he was white as a sheet and his lips blue. Have been told that recovery is very painful. He will be in the hospital until Sunday and as long as Tues. Depends on the pain.

You may follow the banding activities on the web cam with a narrative provided by Norfolk Botanical Garden staff.

Visitors to the Garden may be able to see some of the events from the ground, but must remain outside the exclusion zone during the process. The best viewing site will be from Renaissance Court.
