No AMEN on that report, Mits??? At least it's not SNOW!!!!
Steve.....please issue press release to The Journal about our hatch. New River Gorge nest hatchings were announced in todays paper per media wire reports.
A 4 y.o. boy died yesterday in Jo's county while DRIVING a childs ATV. I don't care what anybody says----a kid that age does not have the physical or mental capacity to operate that machine. JMHO---parents should be held liable. I know, I know---they will pay all their lives with grief. But....
Good point Dana. It is now the feature photo for Glo's Glimpses. Just click on Glo go to the Blog called Glo's Glimpses and there is our little fuzzball with parent.
Sharon I enjoy watching the squirrels. Before we downsized I use to hand feed a couple that came up on the deck. They never ever bothered my screens. They just waited for me to come out.
Oh yeah by the way. In going through stuff I found a plastic can of "perlite that you add to paint for that bumpie look on ceilings". Well I decided to shake it and stuff moved in there. I thought, "Wow this stuff has to be bad". Opened the lid and it is were Ed kept his peanuts in a shell. We only have 1 squirrel that I've seen around here. Too many cats. So maybe one day I take a trip to the park Mtbs. or Hagerstown and feed the squirrels for Ed.
Mema Jo I know from my experiences since by beloved Ed passed. That what you say is very true. Hi Deb I know you are enjoying and happy the chick is named "PALMER". WE ALL MISS AND LOVE YOU.
Thanks GLO that link is great for people that don't have facebook. They can see picture of Palmer there on Glo's Glimpes by clicking on your picture. Thank You! (:
Need help lost the link for Minn. Black bear Lilly and cub. That other link that was posted earlier takes you to facebook. Can someone please post link to the site ty.
Osprey at BWO looks good as does those 2 little explorers with their mom at the BWE nest. Their nest is alway so tidy and has their sprig of pine scent!
Sharon, I purchased a program called Snagit. You can do videos as well as pics, and you can pull pics off the video too. It has a 30 day free trial, too.
Good morning! Was so thankful to finally read about a feeding. Where is all the food Lib is so good at providing?
Thanks Glo for the morning pic. I thought you were just saying good morning to Palmer. lol Did not realize it was a link to a picture until I read your next post. Had to go back!
Good Morning Eagle Pals & baby Palmer!!! See it looks mostly windy at nest~~~raining soft, then hard here. I was so worried about P, but see he's well covered. Guess what???? I Got Live!!!! Stayed up til wee hours, installed Firefox, but then had trouble trying to dwnld Flash. Read some Support stuff & a lady went back to IE to get Flash & you can say it's for another browser!!! It worked!!!
Wow, Paula--weather must be coming our way. Just had lightening & thunder!!
BTW, last night I checked the WT eagle nest on EENet & she may have an egg. Didn't see one, but a lot of wiggle wiggle settling into the bowl & mostly laying low. And she hollers, too! Think her name is Linda.
Paula, guess I missed the second fish. I only saw the little one brought in. Thanks for letting me know. I was just remembering last year, the nest was loaded. Have not seen much of Lib this morning.
PattiO, from the new thread, just don't click on the box that signs you up for it. You have to select that for each new thread. Good to see you on here today though! ;)

Back from cataract surgery. Everthing went as expected except I apparently had some kind of reaction to the anesthesia after it was over. Had them worried for a moment but I am fine. Eyesight is definitely improved but won't see the full results for a couple of days until after I adjust to it.
I had the den cam up, thought the wind I was hearing was there. Yep, there is that familiar hum! Know it anywhere!
Thanks for the sound again NCTC!!!
Yes, Jo, I am being very lazy. While the cats away.......! lol Must get busy though and do my walking. Can keep an eye on the nest while "walking". Then I really must do something besides sit here.
Bob, so glad you have that behind you. I had one done almost two years ago, but took a while to recover....developed an infection, If something does not seem right....hasten to the doctor!
Belle is being a good, gentle mama, as usual, but sure wish she would face 6-ish so that we can see more of Palmer when she stands!!! Had a big one-wing stretch---must be getting cramped up! Hey, Lib---it's time for a break!!

Missed the chirps :>( Was out w/ Shorty! Had to take peanuts. When I came in for more, he was at base of door!!! Yikes, would be bedlam if he came in, but I think he's too cautious to get too close.
Going out to dinner, so have to get fixed up---that should take hours! LOL BBL
You know, I have been flooded in the basement 2 times in 4 weeks. We have another 2-4 inches of rain coming tonight and tomorrow. So there is potential for more a 3rd. flooding...but...with Little Palmer, Belle, Lib and all you wonderful people....Life Is God. Thank you Lord!!

Hello everybody. I've been stalking the cam and blog and was so very eggcited when Palmer made his appearance yesterday. Yeaahhh
Also glad to hear Bob's surgery was a success along with Donna's (actually Lindsay's) tonsilectomy, Geula's paw and, last but certainly not least, the 4 yr old should never have been on any four wheeler alone.
Whew. Ok, one more thing, I'm surprised our king fisherman does not have fish all over the nest by now. Maybe Palmer isn't eating much but I would think that Belle is hungry.

I read that yesterday too, Lynn..so sad and tragic
Good morning Palmer
Yes Dana I did get a picture of Palmer. I put it up on my facebook album and there is a link to it back about one minute ago on this Blog.
I agree so much Lynn and Mits. Those people should not have let that child ride that ATV. Sad just so sad :(
Glo for people that don't have Facebook they can't see it from that link. Cause they have to sign into their facebook page.
Could you please put a link to it on one of your blogs?

I think Lily is trying to tell Dr. R to get lost:)
Thanks GLO that link is great for people that don't have facebook. They can see picture of Palmer there on Glo's Glimpes by clicking on your picture. Thank You! (:

Good Morning Red - you came in at just the right time! We got ourselves an Eaglet!
Sunrise at Hornby with nesting eagle incubating their one egg...
Hope they get another egg.
That Osprey at BWO is now standing in the middle of the nest...wonder if she's trying to lay claim to the nest?
Today is the expected hatch at Xcel St Vrain nest. Need to go check it out.
I hear Hope!
Hope we get some more food in our nest......
Sharon, I purchased a program called Snagit. You can do videos as well as pics, and you can pull pics off the video too. It has a 30 day free trial, too.
Thank you Mema Jo for posting that link for Lilly's site. Don't know why is disappeared from favorites/bookmarks but got it now ty ( :

She is not going to give us a peek is she?
Snack time over, Belle has Palmer tucked securely under her :)
Mits, I saw your post about the Wilmington falcons. Thanks for the update!
Look for a possible hatch at TH and Caltrans this week, too!
Molly the barn owl
Molly has one fuzz ball under her, a noisy one and several eggs ready to hatch.
The sun is peeking out every now and again here...had a HUGE clap of thunder a little while ago and a downpour...
Way to go, Loretta! Glad you can view our nest :)
Lots of pretty colors at BWE this morning!
Thx, Paula for the techie tips!
(Fubby thinks I'm nuts) It's all for one of our favorite creatures!!!
Lolly, one B Owl chick is out!!!!
rolling thunder here too:)
Sorry, see you already mentioned the one owlet. What a great picture!
Time for food & coffee.
I had just found that owl cam earlier this a.m. and sent it to Jo, the Owl lady
Jo is watching those owls! Can't get over the coloring of the adult.
Maybe the lightening & thunder missed the valley and the nest!
I am afraid she is going to step on the owlet. She does not seem too agile!
When is more food going to be brought to our nest? Been watching as I read the paper.
Love listening to the birds on the owl cam. I am beginning to doubt that we will get sound back. :(
Oh gross! Owl pulled food into view. Had to leave!
Now there is a steady rain here in the valley. You would almost think it was April Showers!
Lolly, Lib brought in a good sized fish yesterday, after the small one. The eaglet doesn't eat a whole lot at this point.
Wow! She makes funny noises while eating. Bad as Hope! lol
I am also surprised at the absence of food in our nest. Hopefully some will be brought in very soon.
Paula, guess I missed the second fish. I only saw the little one brought in. Thanks for letting me know. I was just remembering last year, the nest was loaded. Have not seen much of Lib this morning.
Lolly are you having a lazy day with Jack not being around.
Posted on the wrong thread. How do I get the email notifications turned off!! Help!!
I don't know Patti, that is how I read the blog, I have them sent to my email, just is a faster and easier way for me to keep up...
Patti O - I assume you mean from the Eaglet Momster site? I can mark No emails...
PattiO, from the new thread, just don't click on the box that signs you up for it. You have to select that for each new thread. Good to see you on here today though! ;)

Good afternoon everyone! Good afternoon precious Palmer!!! How is she doing? I havent' seen her today. Not enough sittin' down time for sure! Is she eating good?
I am so grateful for our hatch!!! God is good. Belle and Lib certainly worked hard for this baby!
Wow PattiO! Sharon hit the nail on the head about those emails - It isn't the Momster's emails.
Jo, I think she was talking about emails from here. PattiO, the blog blows up when we get a new baby!
When I checked 'email follow-up comments' I just didn't realize I would get an email for each post! My bad! I understand now! I'm still waiting for a peek at Palmer today - at work so ... just looking in when I can! :)
Ah, my first view of Palmer today!
Adult is up, good view of Palmer
What a beautiful site Palmer is, getting fed now.

good idea Bob. You just need a little Buta Buta nap.
Man oh mighty is our sound back on! Yay!
Thanks, NCTC :)
Just checking cams - BWE looks like a Fish Market!
Nothing happening at Ft St Vrain or at Decorah.
Look at the fish at BWE nest...
Belle is being a good, gentle mama, as usual, but sure wish she would face 6-ish so that we can see more of Palmer when she stands!!! Had a big one-wing stretch---must be getting cramped up! Hey, Lib---it's time for a break!!
Hello, Mauley!
Bob, glad all went well, sorry about the scare!
Hi everybody, Hi Paula, so excited I forgot all about my manner, for which I am indeed, very sorry.
River is probably muddy, and it's probably harder to see fish when the sun isn't out...
Hi everybody, Hi Paula, so excited I forgot all about my manner, for which I am indeed, very sorry.

It's a wonder Belle doesn't smother Palmer when she wiggles in so tight!!
BWE chicks look much closer in size today...
LOL guess I will listen to peeps and wind and peeps and hummms and peeps coming and going however it happens. It is music to my ears to hear the soundssof our little one at less than 24 hours old. Too cool!
Lots of ooey-gooey remains in BWE nest! Along with a lovely mama and 2 big babies!!
I guess she squooshes him right up to the brood patch, Lynn.

BBL
You know, I have been flooded in the basement 2 times in 4 weeks. We have another 2-4 inches of rain coming tonight and tomorrow. So there is potential for more a 3rd. flooding...but...with Little Palmer, Belle, Lib and all you wonderful people....Life Is God. Thank you Lord!!
Wonder what our sound would be like if someone would loan us a $5000 mic like Lily and Hope have? lol
