Oh, How can I forget to mention? Saw a great flyover of ISS this morning as I was leaving work. All the way across the sky, from SSW to NNE - figured it was just about over the Nest before I got out of the parking lot. It flew right through the Southern Cross !

We did it! Mason will be on his way back to Bryn Mawr after 1:00 today. Thank you Dr. Aarabi and nurses at Shock Trauma. Super heroes strike again. We love ya Balmore but we gotta leave ya! We are taking visitors this weekend. Just give us the word.

Thanks Jo.. i know just doesnt look the same without them .. I havent seen Jazzy since last Weds and i cant wait!!! Got her lil Mickey Mouse shaped ear rings with her birth stones and a cell phone that Mickey mouse talks to her.. Tee shirt and sweat shirt.. Oh and our Hotel The Coranado Springs resort was beautiful!!! BUT the best part our next door neighbor was ... Richard Dreyfuss !!! He is so cool and funny!!!!!!
Carrie should have been my daughter we are so much alike.. But sad to say while in Florida my aunt passed away and was buried on Tuesday..But she was in nursing home and died peacefully in her sleep...

We have recently found that you can not always change the mind of a very determined panda named Lun Lun. When the cub was smaller, we did not want Lun Lun to drag bamboo into the nest box with the cub. This was mainly as a safety precaution for the cub, to make sure Lun does not poke, prod or smush him with a big piece of bamboo. We normally stopped Lun Lun by calling her name and getting her attention with leafeater biscuits. Well, this smart panda quickly learned that if she wanted more biscuits, all she had to do was start dragging her bamboo around. So, we modified our response and just started to call her name to redirect her behavior and not reward her with biscuits. She did not like this! Lun Lun showed her protest by repeatedly dragging more and more bamboo in with the cub and ignoring all our attempts to redirect her. Once she got her bamboo into the nest box, she seemed to be just waiting for us to come in and give her biscuits. She would not really eat the bamboo that she had toted about, but sit and wait for something to happen. Since the cub is larger now, we are not as worried about him in the bamboo mess that Lun Lun creates in the nest box. Plus, if he is not happy about what Lun Lun has created, he kindly voices his opinion with squeaks and grunts until Lun Lun uncovers him. So we just let her do as she wishes with her bamboo.
The cub’s weight yesterday was 2,290 grams.

Nilla, speaking of Richard Dreyfuss..I think her married a girl from Martinsburg, a number of years ago (don't know if she is still his wife or not).
The bird poop facial that they will be featuring on the Doctors show today, is from the Nightengale, I believe. Bird poop can be VERY dangerous...caused me to loose the vision in my right eye!
My eyes seem to be adjusting to reading in Green/white. But they do need a rest.

Did you know that you can also go blind from herpes? If the virus is transmitted from your lip (cold sore/fever blister) to your eye and it isn't treated appropriately, blindness can result...happened to a good friend of my sister.

Wow, that was some Nap ! Slept through the transition, and see our Still Cam is back up and running,and the Blog is back to normal.. Hope Loretta and T-Bird know! They will be on the edge of their seats between 6 and 7 pm...as the rest of you will. I'll be watching for reports when I get home in the morning....
ISS will do another flyover closer to 7 am, but it should be spectacular if things are still dark enough to enjoy it. Paula really got me hooked on ISS.
