We live in WV, going to travel 5 hours and 10 minutes to go to WV and about 5 hours of that is in Virginia.

10/17/08:
We recently had a group of turkey vultures on the nest, including an immature vulture near the cam.
Also, we had a sighting of an immature bald eagle. This bird looks to be older than our Eagle Cam chicks from this season.

You can really tell on the 30 sec cam how much the lower end of the nest has been built up with sticks.

I was thinking the same thing about our nest being built up -- really doesn't look like too much room in the middle - guess we'll be able to tell better after we get an eagle or 2 in there!

We got there while it was still dark last year on Sunday morning. It was awesome waiting for sunrise and then hard to even find the words when they were both sitting side by side up above the nest. The dark of their feathers made a heart formation. I shall never forget. The two gals with me still laugh at my excitement as I started my best memories of the weekend photos.
We got up at like 4:30am. but I was so excited I didn't even need an alrm to get up. I was ready for that car to head me to the nest.
After seeing the eagles we headed back to where we were staying and got dressed to head into Romney to enjoy the eagle train It was a long but absolutley awesome day.
Well do enjoy your day tomorrow. I am sure you all will enjoy it very very much. I hope Lib and Belle do make an appearance during the day. It would be doubly awesome if Bob happens to be there with his cam when that happens. We could surely use a professional photo of those 2
