Hi, everyone. My fingers are frozen, but other than that I am keeping fairly warm. It is wet and cool here.
I have seen hawks, hawks, and more hawks. I guess I should say raptors. Good views of red tails, norhtern harriers and prairie falcon. Not so good views of feruginous hawk, short eared owl and burrowing owl. One good sighting of a wood duck!!

I am at the hotel, have to leave for the banquet in about 5 minutes. We have seen lots and lots. These birders are serious about finding their birds, but I am enjoying myself. Most of the time I have no idea what the bird is we are looking at, just shake my head.
And now a Deer at the regular cam.

Good Evening to Everyone that's someplace else!!
Wanted to check in before I konk out. Saw that both our cams are still off, so no record of any visits.I've been watching the nest area at Park for any fly-ins/outs as leaves are still covering nest. Don't know if they'll use that area again.
Had a wild but fun time at Park Kid's Day. 407 visitors!!!!Only critter I saw was a tiny green tree frog that a little girl pointed out on the ground.One of our naturalists found a small black rat snake & a boy was holding it & it wrapped around his arm like a baby boa!To loosen him, you let his head lay down on the ground & he starts to uncoil as he wants to crawl away. Thought that might be a good tip!
Congrats to Deb with the bird group festivities!

Jo, we are going owl searching in the morning at a place called Billy Goat Jump. I have to look it up, no idea where I am going. I need to get cleaned up tonight, been in the mud and the gumbo today. (Gumbo--mud that sticks to your shoes) Two men from Wisconsin are here hunting. They said this is the only time they have gone hunting and gotten taller as they hunted!

Jo, Dustin is here til Monday. I think he is mad at me because I have been on the 'puter ever since the shop closed. He tried to comandere it while I was taking my bath, but I'm too feisty to turn it over to him tonight. Told him he could have at it with GeeGee's 'puter all afternoon, tomorrow. Happy now...but still p----- at me :)
I have been like Wanda, just driving my mouse crazy, looking around for some things....did send off a Lobster-Gram gift certificate for my kids anniversary next week....the site was a bear to work with tonight, but got it taken care of.

No feathers on me, Wanda, but I think there are some of a lot of these people. There is a man here who crawled out on the ice on the Missouri River last spring to take a picture of an ivory gull. What if the ice would have cracked!!

Wanda and Loretta.....race is not going well. Jr. is my man, and wrecked again. Think these COT's and tires are still not a right match. Argh......!! Between the "chase" and the COT, it jus tisn't racing anymore! Can you imagine was Dale, Sr. would have to say about all this garbage?

Oh, Lynn...for me, racing has just not been the same since Dale,Sr. died. He was a very exciting personality.

Great little story about a Lab-Mix on Fox-5 news, "Tilla," which was rescued from Afghanistan 18 months ago, brought here, and is now ready for a home! Recommended: no other dogs or children for starters...I think that dog will have an offer before midnight...
