one time I saw a nearly adult bald eagle at Swinging Bridge...three years ago, and I used to see an Osprey there but it has been awhile....It would be great to take you there ☺

Two years ago a wren built a nest and raised young right outside our kitchen window on the ledge. I just left the nest there, buried in English Ivy. Well, a wren is once again refurbishing the nest. Wahooo! Will try to get pictures.

Happy Nest Day to Everyone. Just got back from our work class~~~~MT Nest. Will try to check often today and maybe I can get it on at Park tomorrow.That cam would be SO great for our nest.Duh! I have a feeling the Park eagle Mom may really be sitting in the nest and we can't see her .The side is pretty high. Need to call in the giraffes.

Off to clean the bathroom! Last load of laundry in the washer, floors are mopped, not the bathroom.

HaHa I have a clean bathroom too. Of course I am really trying "sort of' to get ready for my company. I made a tour of my favorite close eagle spots this morning. Not as good as 2 weeks ago BUT not bad either. IF her plane isn't late I am going to try to get her to see and maybe photograph an eagle depending on how dark it is BEFORE we ever actually get to my house. I think that would be a fun start to her visit.

Thank you Lolly. I am so very excited. I just know how awesome it can be at times and yet i know how very unpredictable these birds and mother nature can be too. I want her to be so glad that she came and go home with the memories I know she wants. She is a great photographer and how special if she can add soem eagles to that portfolio and her wall :-)

Good afternoon all! I will add my disappointment to everyone else's that the nest has been mostly empty today!
My prediction is for an egg tomorrow, which means Miss Belle needs to be spending today getting used to sitting in one position for very long periods of time! Obviously, that's not happening!
I'm also disappointed that no one has posted an update on Jo - this has me seriously worried!
Still waiting on what's up wwith JO, too.
We just got home from the doctor, urologist who put in ANOTHER catheter. Wednesday, he'll go to Pittsburgh and see the surgeon and urologist who did his surgery and find out what's the problem he had now.
KAY, I've had it with the snow, too. Seems all it does here in PA! LINDA, you could probably attest to that! Love you both.

Dad's surgery is Feb. 28th. Pre-op stuff is all on the 19th. I was supposed to be going with Monte on the 26th to Florida but have already canceled those plans. Of course mom and dad did not want me to but honestly how could I enjoy myself knowing he was in surgery?????

The Canadian Government sent me a letter in regards my Old Age Security. They want me to promise that if I changed address or moved out of the country for longer than six months to let them know. I take that for a good sign that they are reviewing my application and considering it. I wrote them a note promising I would do just that.
Went to an amazing Cranial Sacral treatment and it is fantastic how it moves the energy.No blockages and all is more balanced and calm within my system.
Dana, glad you have a date for your dad's surgery. Sorry that it affects your trip to FL but you would never be OK with not being with your folks.
Judy, I just don't see people building a nest for Dad Norfolk as being a success regardless of where it's built. The whole problem with the NBG situation is that PEOPLE keep thinking they can tell a wild animal how it should behave! Absurd!!

I JUST TALKED TO JO.
She is still in the hospital...I think she is out of ICU since I was able to speak with her. Her Hubby Ed answered the phone, and then put Jo on.
She said she is feeling much better. She sounded good. She thought she would be home in a couple of days.
She asked if we had an egg yet, I told her no egg yet. I told her I would call her if we did.
I told her that we missed her and loved her and were thinking about her.
She said she has missed us too.
She really did sound good...said her breathing is getting better.
I told her again that we missed her and loved her.
So, good news!
If I get a chance, I will pop in to see her in the hospital, just to give her a hug!
Such wonderful news, Paula. I know all of us have been so very concerned about Jo.

Very very nice PAULA well assembled and looks classy. Very realistic with the rope on the very top part...do they call that area a widow's walk or is this only the balcony's on houses in Nantucket for example. That is where I first heard that expression.

Paula is correct, they did move mom out of ICU this morning. When I saw her this morning she was very tired and weak. Her oxygen levels have been really low. Yesterday when she was talking to me and my son Aaron the machine there kept beeping showing that her oxygen was low, so we only had a short visit.
Dad did take his laptop in today....I was hoping mom would post something, but she must have been too tired.
Dad said she will be there for awhile.

February is proving to be a challenge for me already. Not a good sign. Maybe we can just skip to March!
Now I have a conflict with Aric coming home and my dad's surgery. Aric couldn't get a flight on Wednesday after classes because there weren't any that were non stop which would have made his flight 6 hours long....the earlier flight would have meant missing two classes. So in my confused wisdom I had him take the early flight Thursday morning thinking that dad's surgery was scheduled for Friday. Well I was wrong. Thursday is the 28th. Monte will be in sunny florida and mom and dad obviously are occupied. Not sure what my next step is since I went ahead and paid for the flight! Urgh!!!
