I really think our Eagles need to spend a little more time getting
the Crib ready....
others have mentioned that,
Paula for one

magpie said...

Than again, it could just happen all at once when Belle lays an egg.

Well Happy Birthday Wishes to your Mom, Lori ☺♥

Hello T-Bird !

xo

T-Bird said...

I agree somewhat agree with you two-MAGPIE and PAULA. A little more time working on the egg cup seems to be warranted.

T-Bird said...

Hey MAGPIE-do you have to go and make the dough this morning? : ))

T-Bird said...

Love, with hugs on top, I send out to all of my eagle peeps.

It does look like there is the need for more crib rails in the area between 7:00 and 9:00 especially.

Thank you to Jennifer and Paula for the updates on Mema Jo. Will continue to think positive thoughts. An egg or two or three would be extra-strength medicine.

Hear a woodpecker drumming,
probably a Pileated

magpie said...

That was loud.
I think BElle has had some
red meat in the last day or so
some red-pink color on her beak.
also looks she left behind
a little something that is brown and not an egg !
Probably just some nest fluff
or a pine cone

Paula Thanks for the news on Jo. Its a long wait sometimes and she never leaves any of our hearts for sure. We all needed to know some info.
Prayers for all. Speaking of gifts to parents Dana does her family well too. God Bless both of you as you support one parent through a serious illness with another.

WV sUSAn said...

hahahahahaha ENJOY!!!!

magpie said...

And away they go...maybe for a little lunch date

I heard a R-Shouldered Hawk

Oh wow Belle is back

WV sUSAn said...

She had to act like she was leaving to get him off the egg cup. lol

Lolly said...

Good morning! Jealous of that oatmeal creme pie!!! If I bought a box of those into the house, Jack would leave me! lol

Have been reading the paper and watching the eagles. Lots of calls and lots of action.

Glo, I snorted and laughed out loud at your comment with the picture!

Had a rough night. I went to bed early as I was tired. Jack came to be an hour later and then Annie started crying. Her meow sounds like she is in terrific pain (she's not!). She cried all night until about 5:30 when I let her out. We may have to fix a box and a bed for her in the garage!

WV sUSAn said...

Margy, I have a difficult time distinguishing between the calls of the RTH and RSH. Isn't one faster than the other?

Lolly said...

Looks at Belle in the egg cup. Today, maybe?!!!!!

Lolly said...

Belle keeps calling out. Labor pain!!!!

WV sUSAn said...

Lolly, she keeps calling so softly.

WV sUSAn said...

I think Shep is a eggcited as we are today!!

magpie said...

HI Lolly

susan, Red-Tailed is more haunting,
Red-Shouldered is more fast as you say
Hard to describe

now I hear kid birds ☺

Lolly, sorry about Annie, and
do hope that YOU feel much better today

The oatmeal pies are really off my list of foods, but for special occasions like egglayng and
hatching I make this exception

magpie said...

I shall be quiet now for real
and toss the baton to you ladies....
doing some paperwork while I sit
on the floor and watch
and wait
and wait some more

WV sUSAn said...

Good description, Margy. Thank ya

Lolly said...

Well, I am laundering the bed sheets while I sit here. More house straightening today but that is all on the list.

Margy, I am about to go back on a diet. Need to loose the pounds put on over the holidays.

Lolly said...

I am not familiar with rth cries, but very familiar with the rsh cries. So, can not say what the difference is.

WV sUSAn said...

Now's not the time to try and squeeze Belle of the egg cup, Shep

Lolly said...

Now why is Shep sticking his face right up to her and making her pull back? Can't he leave a lady in labor alone?

WV sUSAn said...

It's what Margy said, Lolly. Their call is so similar, but the RSH is faster.

glo said...

OK Now we need this egg today then. I can't do labor and delivery tonight. Time to turn on the cam and try to watch. arghI should like dust and vacuum. I keep house for a blind dog ya know. But Dana is coming with an eagle eye or atleast I hope she is :-)

Lolly said...

Oh, Glo, you make me laugh so often! Love ya!!!

Lolly said...

Belle, just yawned!

WV sUSAn said...

She kept shaking her head. Hi Glo.

Lolly said...

Shep poofed!

WV sUSAn said...

Shep flew off to the left

WV sUSAn said...

Shep about clobbered our laboring momma with that stick

Lolly said...

Shep returrned with a big stick for the rails and about landed on Belle. She is now up from her place in the cup. He had to disturb her!!!

Lolly said...

Beaking, he just will not leave her alone!

WV sUSAn said...

I KNOW!!!!! Pleeeeeeease, Shep, get back up in the tree!!!

glo said...

Lolly I like to make people laugh.

WV sUSAn said...

Belle acts like she going to cough up a pellet

WV sUSAn said...

OH MY GOSH, HP!!!!

Lolly said...

HP HP HP

glo said...

no no no shep go to the lumber yard!!!

Lolly said...

LOL Maybe that is what she has been asking for. Looks like she may poof now.

Lolly said...

Yep! Belle the Shep....poof!

magpie said...

oh for crying out loud
literally !!

that won't help the egg come down, might make it go UP
:(

So now they must be hungry !
bye bye birds !

WV sUSAn said...

Belle POOF, then Shep. She's going to have to fly around a little to get him off the nest.

Lolly said...

Well, now...will they return? When will the egg be laid? Return for more of. as the nest turns.

glo said...

Time to plug in that vacuum I guess. Gosh I just made a cup of tea. Hmmm decisions.

WV sUSAn said...

Shep went off to have a ciggy. hehehe

WV sUSAn said...

Have your tea first. Glo

WV sUSAn said...

Yes, Lolly, this is REAL daytime drama!

Lolly said...

Shep returns!

glo said...

Shep is back. I thought it was Belle.

WV sUSAn said...

Shep has returned

WV sUSAn said...

Shep says, "OK OK I'll stay over here on this side, just please come back to the nest, honey."

Lolly said...

Shep poofed!

WV sUSAn said...

Shep POOFED

Sandi said...

Wow, thanks for the reports of this morning's action at the nest!! My prediction was for an egg today so let's get on with it Belle!

Shouldn't have the live cam up while I'm state testing a student but maybe if I keep the screen minimized and just check every so often and keep the sound off ... sounds like a plan!

WV sUSAn said...

A very good plan, Sandi.

magpie said...

magpie said...

Rest and some good water, Hoda...
think about it...

R-S Hawks sometime also resemble
both Blue Jays and Ospreys to me.
Someone will probably put a
sound link up for you
or you could google for sure
and find it.
If you have ever watched
The Hoosiers...there is a distinct
sound of Red-Tails in that movie

It is all good SHIRLEY. I have not seen the eagles but certainly am hearing them...I think close by calls were one eagle...I did not hear a response MARGY.

Thank you for the advice on choclate and headaches.

I do think I am having a healing crisis...I also think it is connected to the Cranial Sacral treatment I had yesterday...Thank you MARGY.

Brought home 7 years agoa a huge box of greeting cards that my mother had in her apartment. Have been sorting through them and going to give them to the church. Better late than never, right? The first of every month my mother would address all cards for that month and write the date to mail where the stamp would be placed. I am not like my mother, but always admired that good habit.

Hi, Everyone!

I'm b-a-a-c-k! Hope you all can forgive me for not being here for so long. Ken and I have gone through a really rough spot. A dear, longtime friend of ours, Charlie Capozzoli, became suddenly ill the 3rd week of January with kidney failure (as a complication of diabetes). He went in the hospital on the 17th, and developed heart failure too. Due to a buildup of toxins from the kidney failure, his organs started shutting down, and he passed away, peacefully, on January 21st. Then, 3 days later, a childhood friend and next-door neighbor of Ken's in PA, Nathan Newcomer, passed away from cancer. It was a real double whammy, and hit us hard. We attended Charlie's funeral on 1/30, in Dana Point, CA.
We had known him and his family since 1969, and had been planning to take him out to dinner at the time he became ill. He was 81, but had always been in such good physical condition, that it was a real shocker. His wife, Donna, had passed away of ovarian cancer in December of 2001. I know that Charlie never really got past her loss. His family has always been extremely close, and their faith in God (and ours!) has gotten all of us through this loss. We still can hardly believe he's gone, but by the grace of God we'll carry on.

magpie said...

Hoda...
sure hope you do not have a touch of vertigo...or inner ear infection, symptoms can be
rather similar...dizziness...
vertigo would be turning to one side or the other and the room wants to spin...

Ms Bookworm said...

Nathan Newcomer had been battling cancer for quite a while, and just decided a while ago that he couldn't go through any more chemo. According to his sister, he had it pretty rough at the end, but had come to a peaceful place about his big promotion.

About a 4 days ago, I was not feeling particularly well--sort of like what Lolly described feeling like. I decided that I needed to keep busy, though, and now am feeling reasonably human. Glad I had gotten a flu shot back in October! I think that when you go through so much emotionally, it definitely affects your immune system too. Thank God, Ken is feeling fine!

I'm so sorry to worry all of you!!
I know you were praying for me and Ken, because we could feel it! Thank you SO much!

Oh--the other thing that's been going on with us: In January, Ken went to one of the suppliers for his employer, to pick up an order that was needed immediately, and while his car was parked in their lot, a guy trying to back his car into the parking spot next to Ken's hit the rear left fender of Ken's car. He's insured--thank God. But, he told his insurance company that Ken hit HIM! (GRRRRR!) Finally, Ken took our car to the collision shop yesterday after work, and OUR insurance agent looked at the damage. He said that although we are having to pay the $500 deductible, we will eventually get our $500 back, because if Ken had hit the other guy, the damage to our car would have been in a different place! Our insurance is going after the guy! YAY!!!! By the way, the rental car Ken got is a brand new Dodge Charger--only had 3 miles on the odometer! He's really enjoying driving it, to say the least.

Although I have been MIA, I have definitely been praying for everyone! MEGA prayers for Mema Jo! Hope she can get out of the hospital very, very soon! It's so much easier to get quality rest at home!

Need to get busy now and clean house, and then take Emma for a walk, and go to Anaheim Coves. Ken and I walked there on the weekend, and actually saw a huge number of Canada Geese and other large, gray geese, AND about 20 white SWANS!
They were SO far away I couldn't get a decent picture of them with my phone. Am taking a camera with a good zoom lens on my walks now! Hope I see them again! (Ken and I are taking walks--he started as a part of a thing going on at his work. He gets a "bonus" check from the company if he logs in a certain number of steps each week. His best day last week was nearly 13,000 steps!)

I have a LOT of catching up to do here, but will get back here tonight. Please know that I love all of you, and have been thinking of, and praying for all of you!
I've missed being here, but have just had TOO much going on!
♥♥Thinking of Lynn♥♥
♥♥Carolyn & Christy♥♥
I ♥ us!!
Love & continual mega-prayers for Jo♥!!!

LYNNE was very smart detective that she spoted your post on the MVC and yet it is very good to see you writing on the blog. Thank you.

So SORRY about your losses the two deaths and the accident. RIP and Blessings. Good insurance company to detect that it would have looked different had he been the one to hit.

Don't stay away for so long again please. Thank you.

MARGY if it is vertigo I will be laughing for a while...it is a hilarious experience to see everything spin around. Not so hilarious as I am not safe to drive so when it is time to go shopping I will have to call a cab...I honestly do not think I am safe to drive today...will see what happens for tomorrow. Told my yoga teacher I was not going to class tonight and she understood.

stronghunter said...

Good afternoon,

Happy birthday to Lori's mom.

So very happy that our Andy has been found! We have missed you. Sorry to learn of your losses and Ken's accident. It sounds like you have had a very rough time of it.

Glad that your father is doing better today, Lori. I do hope the insurance mess can get straightened out quickly. Wonder if there might not be a video of the accident. Susan was able to use that once to track down just who hit her car in the parking lot.

Speaking of insurance companies, I think I have come a little closer to collecting the rest of what the insurance company owes me for the repairs to the house.

stronghunter said...

Hunter Story:

Told him to vacuum his room, and he said he couldn't because he could not get the vacuum into the room. Oh my, that is a problem. I told him that he would have to make it possible to get the vacuum into the room and then use the vacuum.

He actually did a reasonable job.

stronghunter said...

There is a lot of train traffic near the nest today.

stronghunter said...

Nice to see good news about Jo. Way to go, lady!

stronghunter said...

Today is Kathryn's second day on her new job. Yesterday went well.

Hoda said...

...and why is it that he could not get the vacuum into the room? stuff on the floor? I thought he had everything hidden under the bed?...hmmm??? Good answer on your part SHIRLEY and I am glad he did a good job of it. He is a good lad.

Hoda said...

Good to hear about KATHRYN'S new work. I wanted to ask and thought to give her sometime to adjust to the new place.
I am off for a while so I can fold laundry and wash dishes and then take a nap. If I do not move too fast I can do things.

Lolly said...

Yea, we have heard from Andy!! Thanks Andy for reporting in! So very sorry for the loss of friends. Grrrr, concerning Ken's accident. Hope the insurance is successful. Last we heard our insurance was still going after the young lady to hit me and did not have insurance. Michael, our attorney son ☺, says not to get our hopes up.

stronghunter said...

Yes, there was stuff on the floor. I told him to pick it up and that he could put things into the closet. When in inspected, I looked under the bed, but not in the closet. He tells me he can't hang anything up because he has no hangers, so the closet is most likely a problem. I will attack that tomorrow. I pick my battles. I think he is right about the hangers, though.

It is a small room, and there is a double bed in there. I think we need to get a twin bed for him. It's the same bed I had in there when it was a guest room--actually that room has a bed and dresser that belonged to my mother years ago.

Lolly said...

Lori, please do pass on to your mom our birthday wishes. Are you baking her a cake. You, are the gift to your parents. ♥

stronghunter said...

Once when Kathryn was hit by a woman coming out of a side street, the woman tried to claim that Kathryn had hit her. Funny that all of the damage was on the side of the car Kathryn was driving.

I pointed out that the only way that would happen would be if Kathryn had been going sideways down the street. The insurance company agreed, and, since we had the same company, I think that woman might have lost her insurance coverage. They were not happy with her lie.

Shirley, in Laurel's new (but older) home, all the bedrooms are larger but the closets are much smaller. I think Laurel and Joey have bigger closets. Before they shared a walk in closet, this home has separate closets and nice size.

Laurel's biggest problem is Jacob. Boy is he messy! She is working on him, though. She pointed out Sunday that he could play with the construction toy that he was playing with because the floor was cleared.

That is funny, Shirley. When the teenager hit me, she was confessing all over the place, thank goodness.

Back to the cleaning!

Andy, sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope things are better in the coming weeks.

Hoda, drink a big glass of water. You could be slightly dehydrated. It can't hurt.

Hoping our Belle spends the night in the nest

Hoda said...

Thank you Grannyblt...will do...I am feeling better and yet I am not pushing driving for today and maybe even tomorrow depending on how I feel when I wake up in the morning.

It amazes me that people lie when there are accidents. Every body gets along so much better when there are no lies. The two rear ended experiences I had in Nelson were with one person who said she simply did not see me...and the other blamed it on the road conditions and said she skided. there were no skid marks but I could not prove it because by the time the police got there new accumulation of snow had happened and the woman was scuffing her foot on it to say skid...her husband is a firefighter in a volunteer dept and I did not push it.Her car was totaled and her husband was so angry he would not come to get her. It was his car she was driving some fancy sports thing and I was in a truck and it only hurt my fender none of the under sections of the truck...I ended up giving her a ride because she did not know what else to do...I felt badly for her that she had to lie but she did take responsibility that it was her mistake for a skid!!!

Jack and I just came in from sitting out on the back patio. A first since last Fall.

See we have no eagles for the night. At least at this time...no eagles.

Lynne2 said...

OK, I'm beginning to worry that these eagles are two timing us with nests. What if they are ALSO attending to, building, HPing and flugging at another nest????

Lolly said...

Do NOT even think that Lynne!!!!

Lolly said...

This nest is ready and that is where they are depositing an egg...all in good time! So there!!
