I wrote this after a mystical experience last night...
Outside the wind is blowing, branches waving too and fro. The moon is bright on this winter night, but it's just a bit scary, you know?
I heard a strange sound, a noise, or just a feeling? so I stood for a moment in pause. A bit early I thought, but maybe... it's crazy...could it be Santa Claus?
Suddenly I glimpsed something long and shiny, and it was just a little bit tattered. Though it blew by so fast, I knew it was something special, something that really mattered!
It's something that's been all around the world, shown up in all kinds of places 'Twas our own Momster Garland, making it's rounds, putting smiles on all of our faces!
The winds on which our eagles soar have helped move our garland around, and it takes along with it the Momsters love and prayers, the whole world to surround!
Then, there were questions! Some of our newer Momsters were unaware of the GARLAND!
So, Shirley told the story....
THE LEGEND OF THE GARLAND
Once upon a time. . . (at 2:50 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2010, to be exact), the Legend of the Garland began.
But I must set the background first. At that time there dwelt two sisters within the Blog, their names being Ceil and Mits. They are beloved ladies. (Mits may still be found upon the pages of Facebook where she appears as Helen.)
Anyway, I digress.
Upon this windy day in January, another Momster named Jo had lost her trashcan, and it was speculated that it might have blown away. Fortunately, Jo found her trashcan, but then Ceil made the following comment:
ceil said... "Well wind is so strong it blew the garland off the front window and broke the ornaments."

Thereafter, there came many sightings of the lovely garland throughout Blogland and upon many places of the earth. The sightings were sometimes documented with pictures posted by various Momsters. Wanda once spotted it in a restaurant, and, as I recall, Loretta found it flying high along with other objects from our adventures. She posted appropriate documentation in the form of a picture.
It did not stop flying in the wintertime, and was spotted in the heat of August that year.
The Legend of the Garland has fixed itself into the Internet and may be found by typing certain words into a search engine. Knowing that I had made many comments about the garland, I merely typed in my screen name and the words "flying garland."
Well Wanda best I can tell you is fierce winds on Thurs were indeed circling down from the north which indeed is MN for me. COPIED OVER FROM OLD THREAD as it involves flying shiny things and perhaps and eye witness or 2. "Good morning all. Word had it on the news late Thurs actually of a bright shiny object zipping through the Marina and headed south east in fierce winds. The eagles here were smart enough to not try to catch it but did wing it along with Christmas wishes far and wide. I will go see if I can get photos of the witnesses that saw it. They may be able to add some info to how our garland fairs over all this time. Prayers for all and wishes for a good day.
good Sunday morning: THANKS STEVE FOR A NEW THREAD! :)
SANDI: i am with you. i never knew my dad's parents, and my mom's parents visited from germany when i was about 6 or 7, but i spoke no german...and i was a child, and they adults. i do remember playing with my german grandfather a bit....but he died in 1970 and my grandmother a few years later. she did come to live with us, for a while, judy may remember for how long, i do not. but i don't have any real memories of them....just a snippet here and there.
tom's folks died in 2002 and 2003 (3 months apart)< olivia was born in 2001. my parents died in 2005 and 2007, so we do what we can to keep the memories alive.
i think that's why its so important to me to have this very personal relationship with my own grandchildren. i want to play, to bake, to do whatever i can with them. its something i never had.
anyway, glad the trip to kentucky is over. i found what judy and i did not want to find, people living in my parent's house. i was very upset last night and judy and i continue our battle....makes me very angry and very sad all at the same time.
today i am baking. chelsea has asked that i make a spinach dip for tomorrow night. the kids will all come over and we will have finger foods and enjoy each other's company...while we "wait for bedtime" so santa can come!
i am making tom's family holiday cake; a prune cake which is delicious! and cookies, and this n that.
i work tomorrow, of course. i have a full schedule and am looking forward to it. :)
i will be home by 3. no problem!
i loved the story of the garland. that was great.
hope the camera is repaired soon. i am sure with the colder, windy weather, it is tough to take care of this right now. we are all anxious of course, but i'm certain in due time it will be fixed. ;}
everyone have a great day. my heart and thoughts are holding you close....Smiles to all!
How nice to have some fun on the blog again. Thank you Shirley and Lynne and others who remember "the" garland's adventures.
As for the secret hiding place, Hoda, it is a place well-hidden in the snow and cold where bears roam freely and give us new bears to watch. Perhaps the body missing from the trunk is there? Well, we shall solve that mystery, I'm sure.
Soon to begin baking cookies -- especially for the police officer that uses our driveway as a hideout to catch stop sign violators.
Thanks for the call-over, Lynne, and thanks, Steve, for the new thread and for the update on the cam info.
Slept in after my late night. Must have some coffee this morning. Have been trying very hard to reclaim my dining room. Actually managed to clear the stuff out of the living room. It is amazing how much junk and non-junk has accumulated in this house.
So glad you enjoyed the garland story. We have had lots of fun here on this blog.
Those of you who are new do know that you can go back and read prior threads don't you? The links are on the bottom of Steve's page.
I think it was Sandi who mentioned parents going directly to classrooms. That was not supposed to happen in Culpeper. There was a receptionist's desk near the front door, and parents were to stop there. I'm sure there still is.
When the woman (actually there were two women) got to my room during classtime, the receptionist had taken a bathroom break. She apologized profusely for having left her desk, but good grief, she needed a break. I expect they have fixed this problem now, and she probably has someone she can call on to cover for her.
It was the receptionist who told me what the woman said when she was removed from the building.
There was, and I am sure, still is, a security officer (unarmed) and a county sheriff's resource officer (armed).
After these women came to my room, I called the office and told them what had happened. They spotted the intruding women on the security cams and nabbed them.
There are many cams in the building. Kids have been known to reach up and turn the cam towards the wall when they want to do something they do not want officials to see. Crafty devils, they are.
Good Morning Eagle Pals... Always a treat to start the morning with Good Friends.... and Heartwarming Tales of Old... not that old, as I speak of the Tale of the Flying Garlands and other miscellaneous items...
Thank you, Steve, for the Fresh Thread, and your Holiday Greetings... and the Very Same to You....
Understand about technical glitches... but at Least we have Seen the Eagles, either For Real on the Cam with our very own eyes, or vicariously with your pictures posted, and those of some of our Eagle-Eyed Momsters
That was some story about the Garland, LYNNE2! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, STEVE. for the new thread and the cam update. Hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!
I've been working with Dad, call myself his researcher! I can tell he's glad I'm here. Mom is at Church now, and today we will spend the day wrapping presents for the needy family the Church has adopted this year.
Wishing you all a great day and lots of love and joy in your heart!
Shirley I have sometimes just shoveled the contents of a table or area into boxes and out of the way... thinking I will get it all put back together "some time." I still do that and now have an enormous job on my hands getting things back together... and now, with the hands... it ain't going to be so easy...but "all things in good time." As long as I keep the bed cleared off at night-time not a whole lot matters for one who lives alone. ☺
But wishes on YOUR Re-organization projects. Family comes to see Family, not a neat and ordered house... Hope all things go well for "you and yours" in the Holiday Days upon us
"With that said," - I am going to start up on my to-do list today. Already got the prayers in ☺
no no no...not MY story about the garland! MY poem SHRILEY's story explanation! And how hilarious it is to google stonghunter flying garland and see all of the links to the past posts!!!
Glo, somehow I MISSED your sighting! Very happy to know that your Marina eagles helped to wing it along with Christmas wishes! Hope you get to the Marina today!
Margy, about the hands....if it's carpal tunnel...my co=worker just had that surgery a couple of months ago and was very glad she did! Minimal down time, maximum results!
Have fun with Jame the Wise today and give him a big MOMSTER CHRISTMAS HUG from all of us!
Lynne, I want you to know that Annie is doing great. She is eating us out of house and home and maintaining a weight of 10 lbs. Last night Jack dropped a length of small rope and Annie attacked it with vigor. During the day she sleeps a lot and she sleeps deeply.
Lori, I just bet your dad is glad you are there! and you mom, too! Hope you all manage to have a Christmas full of Joy! where abouts in PA are you? Snow coming for much of PA.....
Thank you, Lynne. It is breaking Laurel's heart to leave their present house. They have been there 12 years, moved there when Joseph was 4 months old.
She has been great getting a lot packed. Joey on the other hand has been procrastinating. Why? There is so much that he could have packed away. He has not even touched his garage. He has no idea how much he still has to do.
Good morning everyone and thank you Steve for the fresh new thread. I, like all of you, keep bringing up our cam to the black screen - I know soon it will be corrected. Frustrating for us and for those trying to fix it.
I remember all the laughter we had concerning the Flying Garland - later didn't we have an appliance fly to the same place? I may be dreaming.
Several appliances, I think, Jo. And perhaps some undisclosed things. However, there is no reason to think that the garland is in the secret hiding place. It may be anywhere. That garland has been known to run amok.
Back from great tennis - won the first set and lost the second, but by a score of 8-6. Worked off a bunch of Christmas cookie calories!!
Shirley, thanks for explaining the garland!
Lori, glad you're with your mom and dad!
Lolly, I understand Laurel's stress. We had been in our Baltimore house for 28 years - the only house our boys ever lived in. We decided on June 5, 2006 to sell it b/c Denny knew he was going to lose his job and we figured he would never earn another salary that would allow us to keep the house in Baltimore and the one in Bethany. We had to clean out a lot of stuff between the 5th and the 18th just to get it ready to go on the market (and it was the end of the school year for me). The house sold in 6 days and, by late July, we had settled and moved here. It was indeed a stressful time for us!
OK, I have a date with a bucket, a dust cloth, and a vacuum cleaner! Would love to get to the nearby eagle nest and try my new binoculars. The wind has died down and the sun is out. Later!
I can understand closing down a house as I helped my nieces and nephews do that and get ready for auction... fortunately, selling to a relative saved a LOT of work with little repair or cosmetic fix ups at The Big House
New Owner can do ALL that, and got a little cut on the price as a matter of fact
Lynne - I shall take AND deliver the Momster Christmas Hugs to James the Wise Kidster Hey! I am a Momster too so I guess I shall be included...
Definitely small and BIG prayers for Lolly's Laurel... men - sometimes - just think things will fly off the shelf and land where they are supposed to land...I saw quite a lot of that thinking in the last few months, thank goodness one very detailed and organized niece showed up from Hong Kong to do battle !
so with that thought, I wish all a Very Merry Christmas Eve Eve...
and I must apologize, I WAS sent Lynne2's address by Paula and was asked to pass it around...it happened in the midst of a mayhem time for me.... I am so sorry! Lynne2: are you taking care of that as many of us would like to have it...I do, and am glad for it...
Happy HO HO to Steve, Family and Everyone Else! Taking a break from minor chores. Waiting to see if furry friends are asleep so I can sneak downstairs to wrap a couple things on the pool table!I may end up locking the door! I just noticed the Redskins are on and are ahead of Phila! YAYYY Have a great day~~~
Well THANK YOU SHIRLEY!!! I love it and I love us... JUDIE I am on the look out for the Gatland and maybe not so much for the body in the trunk... I love us, did I already say that? Well I love us!!!
Nice avatars LYNNE and SHIRLEY.
Glad you are rested LOLLY and it sounds a lot like Christmas at your house.
Steve MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family. Thank y6ou very much for all you do and as JUDYE points out no need for an apology.
LORI glad you made a safe trip.
LORETTA thank you for the picture of the Garland!!! Very impressive indeed!!!
I now have the dough for cinnamon rolls rising. They will have lots of pecans. yummy! Completed the cranberry sauce and it is in the refrig cooling, as is the can of jellied cranberry sauce. Tradition to have the can shaped cranberry sauce and Jacob loves it!!
Next on to cornbread for dressing and then the sweet potatoes. That is the agenda for today. Tomorrow the dressing and 3 pies.
Also, since Jack and I are alone tomorrow evening, we are having fillet mignon with asparagus, blue cheese and yummy sauce!☺
just an FYI: a good massage therapist can help with carpal tunnel.....so can a chiropractor....
i know because i work on people with it and show them how to help themselves with it. they cannot always avoid surgery, but often, they can....
today i have: baked peanut butter blossom cookies, white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies, made no bake cookies, buckeyes....and in a bit i will make a tiramisu and some spinach dip....plus dinner.
am on a coffee break. yikes...legs and feet are tired! :)
What an afternoon we had!! After reading Margy's post about the beautiful weather today, I decided to delay cleaning the upstairs. Instead, Denny and I took my new binoculars and his camera and set out for the wildlife refuge area about 10 minutes from the house. We were able to find the dock directly across the water from the eagle nest we found by kayak in the fall. We sat down on the dock and, within 2 minutes, there was an eagle!! Within another minute, the other one appeared!!
We watched them soar above the nest for a while and then one zoomed in for a landing in the nest and called out - what a beautiful sound!! After about 10 minutes, the one in the nest took off again and they both soared above the nest together. Watching the sunlight reflect off of those beautiful white head and tail feathers was just breathtaking!!
We stayed for about 40 minutes until my butt started getting cold from sitting on the wooden dock. So now we know that the nest is an active one and the eagles are in the area. Guess I know where I'll be spending lots of my free time on the weekends this winter and next spring!
My new binoculars worked great!! Not sure if Denny got any good shots with his zoom - wish we had Lori's big lens and a tripod!
Now home to see if the Ravens can pull out a win. Pittsburgh game just ended and the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs - YAY!! (Sorry Lynne!!)
wow Sandi, that is AWESOME! Hope Denny got some good shots!
Well, took Steve and the dogs and the cat out into the yard this afternoon...Steve in his wheelchair! Now I can't figure out how to get the &#$@*&$#! thing folded back up again. UGH.
Hoda, is Gatland the B.C. term for a shiny Christmas garland? Perhaps you could grab onto the Gatland and visit me and we could go body hunting. I know where things are buried.
Lowreeda, I really laughed at the picture. I had forgotten how funny it was -- and still is.
Nice that Paula is having an evening out with friends. Have fun!
Really nice that Sandi saw eagles today. What a treat!
Speaking of treats, I really hope Margy had some fun quality time with James the Wise. They make a wonderful team.
Just gain 47lbs reading posts by Janet and Lolly. Grrrrr!
I also loved the commercial and I also hadn't seen it
MARGY I also have typed like that when my keys and fingers aren't lined up right with the key borad not looking and after laughing about it It happens quite often on my lap top smaller key board
JUDIE while you are looking for the man in the trunk just remember he only had a face so he may be hard to find LOL also the gingerbread man is missing from the Y branch LOL
Good evening everyone I just wanted to let y'all know that they have called the family in for Granny Riffe (Tom's mother). Her breathing is getting more shallow and farther apart. They are saying it won't be long, probably within the next few days if not today. Love and hugs to all. Not even sure what to pray for, ya know. God bless her heart, she is ready to go, has been for a while. She said she saw Mervyn (Tom's dad) yesterday and he was so happy to see her. He has been gone for about 12 years now. She is tired and ready to go home.
Hey does anyone have any advise on reverse mortgages I know Carls grandmother had it on her house she had borrowed money for repairs etc and it was only 20T so when she passed away they only would have had to pay the bank 20T plus the going interest rate at the time and there also was another small fee but don't remember it I was just thinking I could do that let my house pay be I only owe 14T on it now and could just do it I know you can get in trouble if you borrow tooo much and live longer that you though LOL Just something I was thinking about milling over in the old noggin
Well,Lynne, glad you showed that chair who's boss!!☺
Bev, prayers for peace for Granny. She has lived a long time and she is ready. What a blessing. Prayers for the family, sorry it is at this time of the year.
Ha Ha Ha Ha JUDIE...Gatland BC...I do not think I will move there but if you come and visit Nelson we could go hunting for bodies in trunks since there are so many trunks here...LOL
May Granny Journey well BEV and TOM. Sending love and Light your way.
Friday my friend Val who had MS died and I wrote about that...Today my friend Carol phones and she tells me her husband came home from the hospital and was very happy to be home on Friday. By Friday night he died. I know him to be a funny and strong and compassionate and loving friend. I will miss him very much. He is a great soul indeed. Send a prayer his way that he might journey well and I am sure he will find joy wherever he is heading. He was an awesome man and a wonderful friend. He was my boss before he became my friend. Superintendent of schools. The only one in my thirty year career that I could disagree and argue with and listen to and learn from and was very pleased to see his educational ideas through. RIP DAVID YOUNG. THANK YOU.
Good picture of STEVE LYNNE. I am glad you handled the chair with authority.
MEMA JO has not been on today...any one know what she is up to today?
MISS YOU JO.
HTTR ...I understand they won today but only PAULA posted about this event. They are one away from the division title...or was the win today the one away? LYNN would be pleased.
My sister in Egypt phoned and yesterday at one her car was stolen from infront of her house. They drove off with the car sirens going loud and clear. She is upset. There is no law and order left on the streets of Cairo. They are also thinking of lowering the leagal marriage age for girls to 12years old!!! My head spun around with this one...the Islamists won the referendum on the constitution and heaven help us all. Christians were turned away from the votes and Christian women were harrassed when they attempted to vote!!!Moslem women with uncovered heads were also harrassed...I am sad today.I am grateful today.Such a complex time of year...may we all live in the LIGHT.
I agree with SHIRLEY JUDYE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH REVERSE MORTGAGES. I know poeple who have lost everything when they did that...they wanted to move into assissted Housing and the house was no longer theirs and they could not do it...they moved any way and lost it.
There is no insurance in Egypt that people can buy for stolen cars or accidents. It is not like here. SO Samia is out of pocket for her car...I need to leave a bit as I am rambling.
Hoda Am sorry to read of Samia's misfortune and the situation in Egypt, and we don't mind the rambling, especially if it helps you in any way to let it out. Also very sorry about your friend, David, he sounds like a very good friend...
Mema Jo was on at 11:07 this morning....with such a large family, I believe there are many activities going on at her home and probably other family members' homes....
Noticed your post about the robbery at your store, Judy. The garden department seems to be vulnerable that way. One night, we were walking across the Walmart parking lot when we saw a man hurrying across the lot carrying something large. He was running off with the cash register from the garden department.
We could say, "He went thataway," but I think they knew that already. Just glad we did not get any closer to him. Guess maybe he had someone waiting in a getaway car. You would not want to run very far carrying a cash register. But crooks are often very dumb, so who knows? Maybe he did it on the spur of the moment.
I Saw Sharon on here one time, happy about that, and Sissy's post about Granny Riffe...yes, a difficult time to lose a loved one... but "seeing her husband" must have been glorious for her... Prayers for a peaceful and pain-free transition... (( Hugs ♥ )) to all the Family.
We had a crook rob the store two blocks from here; he dropped the safe, area was swarming with police, and the dumbo drove back through to try to get his safe. He was nabbed!
to Janet: Yes, I am going to check with my trusted chiropractor first, and also a trusted osteopathic surgeon...both of whom try to avoid cutting, and heavy duty medications... I'd like to start there, and thanks for the information! At the Chiropractor's - I have gotten some wonderful massages over the years, for sciatica, and any and all back and shoulder problems....
Oh, Hoda, such a mess in Egypt. I am sorry your sister is having such problems. Twelve year old brides? Really upsetting. Harassing women over head coverings? Scary.
Congrats to Lynne on putting it to the Wheelchair! And James enjoyed the Momsters Christmas Hugs.... and returns them with vigor. He took is Kindle - a birthday present - to McDonald's - where there is WiFi, and we got on Skype with his Mom in Florida, it was a blast! I have the skype option on the laptop....
Double-dumb, Shirley, about as dumb as the burglar who could not resist checking his FaceBook account at the home he burglarized....then he forgot to log off !! He got nabbed also. And they walk amongst us! Yesterday a guy passed counterfeit bills making a $250 purchase at an Advanced Auto store here in town, then went to an Advanced Auto in Hagerstown trying to return them for REAL cash...but that store had been pre-alerted, and he did not get away with that, but he had not been caught yet when I left work....but they got the Tag and it won't be long!
Here is a nice police story. My elderly lady neighbor could not get OUT of her house yesterday afternoon; something was wrong with the doorknob. She called 9-1-1 (I had left work, and was not home yet...) so police were sent. They removed her screen and climbed in through the first floor window, and had to use a letter opener to pop the door open. They said it was the first time they ever had to break OUT of a house. Neighbor called emergency maintenance number, and they were there within the hour to fix the problem. Whew! She was in a near panic, as well she should be, it is the only way OUT of her apartment.
Well, it is time for the Sandperson to begin preparations for evening travel.
Judy, I would be extremely cautious and certainly do nothing without consulting a mortgage banker who has nothing to gain from you.
Prayers for those in need and for those in transition.
Oh my goodness. As I was coming down the hall the Sandperson quickly and stealthily shoved an object into the bag with the sleepy dust. I pretended not to see but...just sayin it looked shiny.
I AM POOPED! i managed to drop 4 eggs on the floor...ewww and one of my tiramisu (s) flopped upside down on the floor as well. :{ THANKFULLY i had some of that really good super sticky cling wrap on it and we managed to flip it over. it was the one just for us, so if it is ugly noone cares.
i have spent quite literally the entire day in the kitchen and i am very tired.
MAGPIE: i am glad when people check with alternative health care options before they seek surgery. too often i see people with surgeries, still in pain THEN come to me to make them feel better. obviously, i am not a doctor. i can work with a person on a muscular level and of course with Reiki, so I can do a lot, but, i cannot reverse surgeries! and sometimes, i get that they are necessary, but not always. i see a lot of doctors who seem to want to cut first, try other things second....
HODA: such scary news from Egypt......hard to believe in this day and time......but I know its true. Sending light and love to you and yours my friend...
BEV: sending comfort and peace to you and yours...may the transition be peaceful
Okay folks, I need a long hot shower....and put my feet up for a bit. At this point this is what I have made today:
peanut butter blossoms choc chip cookies white choc macadamia nut cookies buckeyes no bake cookies prune cake tiramisu
and made dinner too.....
a good part of what i made i will share with work, the kids, etc. we SURE don't need all of it. but i like to bake and share what i bake.
have a good evening all. i will see you in the a.m. SED.
On commercial Thanks for all the good advise I will talk to the bank where my mortgage is through when I think I will do it if I even do it
I got two compliments two days in a row from two different managers My Co Mgr High Fived me with a great job keep up the good work our store got 10% rating on feature mgmt so that is good I guess and the other was my AsstMgr said I wanted to thank you cause you do so much for the store I do total store negatives and need to counts daily Keeps us of the no no list
On the reverse mortgage--I did see a news story on this subject recently, and the advice was to be very careful and not to go into such a thing without exploring other options.
They use Henry Winkler and Fred Thompson, and it is easy to believe you know these people, but they are just two men earning money by doing an advertisement.
There was one story about a couple who got a reverse mortgage. The husband died and the wife lost the house because she was not yet 62, too young to have a reverse mortgage.
oh my gosh Hoda....I missed your writing about Val's passing, I'm so sorry. And now David...geez. What was he in hospital for? And I'm saddened to read of your sister's car theft and the events in Egypt.
Years ago, maybe, oh, 6 or 7...there had been a young man from Egypt named Hatem working at the gas station down the street. He was a nice kid, and he worked there for a couple of years. He had to go back to Egypt...I don't remember why now. But I remember even back then that he was worried that he'd not be able to leave again. I have often wondered over the years what became of him.
wow, so cool that Jame can Skype with his mom! To think that when I was that age...well, geez, you had to wait until after 11 at night to call anyone long distance during the week because to call any other time was way too expensive! Letters were written and sent snail mail....good grief, how did we ever survive all that WAITING!!
LYNNE if he was a young man he would have had the worry of military service back then. That is why he would have worried about being allowed to leave.
Thank you for your kindness.
David had broken his hip. He was doing so well and they had him up and about with a walker. He spoke to me from the hospital on my Birthday and sang me Happy Birthday in November. We laughed. This was the last time I heard his voice. Carol, his wife, spoke of his courage and his love. He had had Chemo therapy over the years and I think it made his bones brittle...He would have not liked to have lived with a walker...he was too much of an adventourous soul for that...I will miss him a lot...trying to see if I can make it to Alberta for his service on Friday the 28th...I don't think I want to drive in the Rocky Mountains without four wheel drive in the winter and I will see what flights are there...maybe if it is not too expensive I could fly or even rent a four wheel drive? I will investigate tomorrow...he used to say "think things through and be clear Hoda"...so this is where I am with it...thinking it through...he has two sons and Grand Children and a loving and adoring wife who gave him a very good life. As she said tonight he gave her the gift of a loving and compassionate life.
oh Janet, how I always wanted to use alternative medicine....insurance never paid for it and it's just too costly otherwise. I must say that I am very glad that I never had my back surgery, the spinal fusion. Knock on wood, I've had very little back trouble in the last couple of years other than what I consider just normal over use stuff! And wow, I sure could use a massage right about now!
Tracey, my friend where we are staying...she is studying Reiki and loves it! She does animals.

well I am heading to bed. Going in early early tomorrow to get some end of year stuff done...we close at noon. Chance of icy precip tomorrow. I'm so paranoid driving now....I worry that something will happen to me and then what would become of Steve? who could take care of me?
Either tomorrow or Christmas I'm going to give Steve serious computer and Facebook lessons so he can get on and maybe chat with you all! LOL! He already has a FB page but never uses it. He's not good with the computer but it's time to learn. It will keep him from getting bored. OMG...he's already SO bored.
OK...I think I have arranged to have all my family together tomorrow afternoon to celebrate Jesus' birthday! We have always celebrated on Christmas day, but with EMTs and firemen in the family...there are so few days to place everyone in the right place at the right time! (We have 4 family members who work with the Fire Dept.) I do know that Rachael & Robbie and Jayden are coming...so happy to have them♥ GG has become VERY uncomfortable with a lot of people in her house, so I promised to give her a pain and nerve pill before everyone gets there:)
Good night dear friends and rest well. Love and prayers for all♥
Merry Christmas Eve to all my Momster and Dadster friends. All my prayers go out to those that need them. Alot of sad news I read on hear tonight. ON a good note, How about those Skins!!!! Good Christmas Eve morning Carolyn and all my eagle friends!!
Bev, I too pray that Tom's mom's passing is a peaceful one, though this is an especially tough time of year to lose someone you love. I truly believe that, when we leave this Earth, someone is right there next to us waiting to make the journey with us - I've heard from too many that they see someone in the room with them. It's comforting to know that Tom's dad will be that someone for his mom.
Thelma, I'm sending prayers and positive energy to your brother-in-law that his surgery was successful and that his body will start to heal.
Carolyn, this will be a difficult Christmas for you and Christie but I'm sure your mom will be smiling as you start a new tradition. Know that she will be right there with you all in spirit!
Wanda, have a wonderful "Christmas Day one day early" with your family!
Prayers for Jo, Michael, little Isaac, Dana's dad, Lori's dad, Jim's sister, Glo's mom-in-law, Lynne's Steve, Hoda who has so much on her mind right now with her sister in Egypt and the death of 2 friends this week, and all other needs on our blog.
Driving to Mom's in Balto. to drop the dogs off there. We'll spend the evening with Denny's family celebrating our niece Meredith's birthday (which is today). Then we'll spend the night at Mom's and be at my sister's house to watch her kids open their gifts tomorrow. Will see Brian and Lynnis this evening and again tomorrow as well.
Does anyone remember when was the last time PAULA checked in? Is she spending Christmas with family or with LARRY or are they all going to be together. I do not remember any posts on her plans...
HODA; so sorry for your loss! :( i missed that post somehow....blessed be, my friend....hugs, light, and love...
LYNNE2: you are completely right, insurance pays to help to repair you, but not to help to keep you well. i completely understand. it is a deep frustration of mine....that's one reason i like Massage Envy, they of course, want to make money, but the prices of the massages are affordable for most people.....and now that alternative treatments, such as acupuncture are becoming more well known, there are often people who will use a sliding scale for payment....
and again, i am not against western medicine, not at all. it certainly has its place, but i think we will benefit most when the east and the west can hold hands (symbolically speaking) and use the best of both, and be able to AFFORD the best of both.....medically.
As for Reiki, that is something you yourself can learn and do for yourself. It is truly very simple.
And we share a birthday! HOW COOL! I KNew I liked you (wink wink). :) Yeah CAPRICORNS! lol.
It is going to rain rain rain here today, and they SAY changing to snow on Wednesday. I will believe it when I see it.
Workign til 2 today.....then heading home. Kids coming over, having finger foods, etc and just being together tonight......
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day today. Hugs, light, love and healing for all in need....keeping everyone close in heart and thought. (smiles)!
beautiful posts, all, especially want to applaud Carolyn-Jewels for her spirit and outlook! (( Hugs )) and for Wanda and Family, Good Choice! Today, your celebration with many or most of your families together
Although for me.. It's a Migraine Christmas Eve. :(
This was just horrible. I wooke up At 5:30am (That can be horrible alone For me!), but I woke up from a very vivid dream of being in Newtown, CT. I saw those precious faces. I knew the kids, and I was crying. I woke Dennis up with my sobbing...
It felt soooo real and my heart was sooooo torn apart. I just can't imagine what those families are feeling.
Anyways, for me it was only a dream. The migraine was real!
It's a little better now. Hoping it will get better throughout the day!
I can't seem to catch up with reading the posts again!! Here we go, folks!! I'm loving the laughter, stories and hearing from everyone. I hope to catch up on reading through them later this afternoon. I have a few things to attempt before then.....
Hmmmm that Shiny Christmas Garland..... I will have to keep my eye out for that, for sure!! LOL
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas Eve!! We had an early Christmas Eve service last night, which was very nice. Our Pastor is traveling to see family, so we moved it up a day, since we are a small congregation.
Michael (my step-son) has arrived from his long drive from FL and will most likely sleep all day! We will wake him for dinner. It's the traditional Prime Rib Christmas Eve dinner at our house and then over to some close friends' house for dessert. They are like family to us!
Where ever you are..... What ever you do...... Enjoy the love and relationships you have with family and friends !!
Oh dear Linda I know those kind of dreams because of the kind of work i have done over the years. I am sorry. I hope you can shake that headache really fast. The heartache is quite different. Do something really special for anyone and it will lighten your heart. Heck do 26 somethings specials. Be creative. It will help HUGS!!!!!
Well, it has finally happened. NORAD is reporting that Santa's sleigh has been diverted because Rudolph's antlers have taken on a ribbon-like appearance and are tinged with green. Experts are considering possible explanations. MTBR
Good morning everyone. Dex and I have quite the grocery list this morning so must head on out of here but wanted to stop by with Christmas Wishes for all of you celebrating Christmas. Hopefully I can share the Christmas Photo I made of Dex's veterinary staff for this year. As most of you know they are pretty much the reason I still have him. Dex Vet Staff HAGD everyone
Good Morning on this Christmas Eve ♥ I will be going to Mass (4:00) and then to our family dinner and get together. Tomorrow I have Michael's family for lunch at the house. That covers everyone! I pray all of you will be sharing Christmas with loved ones.
Good morning! Jack just cooked up a mass of sausage patties. We are ready for breakfast on Wed and Thurs. with all the family here. So, right now instead of cereal and a banana, I am having cinnamon rolls and sausage. Groan...the diet starts after Christmas!!!
Oh, dear! We can not have Santa delayed! It is all Ceil's fault! What to do? What to do?
Need to get my day started. Need to get the turkey out and prepare it for popping into the oven in the morning, make the dressing, and three pies, pecan, pumpkin and apple. Want to get this done before Candlelite service at church at 6. Then Jack and I will come home and have out fillet mignon!!
Happy Misty, Moisty, Xmas Eve. We had a little snow earlier, then some sleet and now rain! I turned on the decoration lights weary, since it's so dark. Had lots of emails to read and send, have a couple chores to do.Fubby went to store for anti-freeze & I told him get oysters for stew. Sold out. Guess we'll have that New Years Eve! Happy Holidays to All ☺
Checking in briefly to wish all a very blessed Christmas Eve and a Merry Christmas Day. Praying for those in need and those traveling. Unfortunately ailments and sorrow don't take holidays, so prayers must not either !
Penny and I are heading to Julie's for an enchilada dinner and gift exchange. Twill be wonderful I'm sure !
Tomorrow they'll have dinner here, leaving Malcolm, his crate and stuff as they leave for Siesta Key, FL early Wednesday morning.
KAY, have a great evening with Julie and family. How exciting that Malcolm gets the next week with you starting tomorrow! Or should I say you and Penny??? :)
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas Eve and special times with family and loved ones. ♥
Prayers at this special time for all those in need. You're all always in my thoughts and prayers. May you have a joyous evening and tomorrow, too!
In effort to keep spirits up around here, I borrowed a 4ft tree, got some egg nog and munchies and some chicken for Christmas dinner only to come to a husband in a very crappy mood. Great. His friend Dave, who has managed to pretend like his coming to see him since the accident failed him once again...yesterday, when he went fishing instead. Then this morning, he told Steve once again he was going to come and Steve waited for 4 hours for him to call back, and then gave up and when to bed. Of course Dave called while he was napping. Some friend. Then his ever depressing sister called here. She said she was calling today because she KNEW that we'd be having a sh**ty Christmas tomorrow just like her so she was getting the call out of the way today. WHAT?? Then she started crying. HO HO HO!! I have no intention of having anything other than a nice Christmas! I sent Steve and his bad attitude back to bed...LOL!
(((Hugs)) Lynne! Who needs enemies and sisters when you have a friend and a sister like that! Keep up the cheer, Lynne! It is bound to wipe off on Steve!
Let me tell you our hectic day!! I have baked 3 pies, and made dressing and mixed up the refrigerater yeast rolls. In the midst of this I called our neighbor. Yesterday Jim came over and gave us a key to the house and 3 phone numbers. He was heading out to Denver and would we check on JoAnn. Jo Ann is in the last stages of liver cancer. What???? He is leaving??? Well, he left and this morning I called. She was still in bed. Had fallen during the night to get up going to the bathroom. Thought she needed to go to the hospital. She was going to call her doctor. Then Jack comes in and tells me there is an ambulance. We hurry over, I help her to the bathroom, tend to the dog, lock the house, and they take her away and she does not want me to call Jim. Well, I talk with a neighbor and he is furious like I am. "Well, I am calling him, he said, she did not tell me not to call."
We have church at 6, leaving shortly to go to the hospital first.
She has a son 30 to 45 minutes away. Where is he? Good grief!!!
LOLLY, that is insane that your neighbor would leave his wife like that! My Heavens!!!! Thank God, you were there to check on her, but what a turd he is for leaving a woman in the last stages of cancer like that!!!
LYNNE, Lolly is right. Keep up your cheer and surely it will rub off on Steve! Big Hugs, sister!
OMG why did he go to Denver? Is there some sort of emergency there? Do you think this might be something they agreed upon, maybe so she could...oh I hate to say it, die without him having to be here for it? There MUST be some logical explanation for this....right?
Yes, Lori, all of the rest of us neighbors are wondering about this. What was he thinking?
We are ready now...tried to find a card appropriate to leave with Jo Ann. You have to think of what the card says, and I am limited with what I have around here. Also, taking her a cinnamon roll and will ask the nurses to warm it for her. Have a pen to write her a note in case she is asleep. Grrr! So furious with him.
Wish you all could see her darling dog, Bandit. He is precious and wants attention. I will go see him again tonight. He has a doggie door to go in and out. Another neighbor is supposed to feed him, but I have not been able to get in touch with her. Will keep trying!
Home from work Today started out as a slo day at work but was boomin when I left If it wasn't nailed down they bought it LOL and off course they are all upset because we don't have what they wanted What do you expect when you wait till Christmas Eve to buy your stuff Its not like it was a surprise LOL OK enough Christmas negativity
Just got off the phone with JOY that is JUNEs daughter and she said she was in bed already I talked with her for a bit will try to call tomorrow I told Joy how I felt that I lost two friends when Terry passed LOvin all the pictures on facebook of the snow you all are posting BRR
I will be going over to Angie tommorrow This evening she is having her dad and brother over and I always go over on Christmas day Makes it tough when you have several families She has Christmas morning with Carls mom next door to them and me in the afternoon
I was supportive to Steve's sister. She just does this sort of thing. I am not sure why she does this. Maybe feels misery loves company and she wants some company? I feel sorry for her. I tried to be cheery with her...
We have a White Christmas Eve here in Martinsburg...white and slippery.
I have said the Prayer of Saint often today, BEFORE I read the most recent tough news posts.. where there is darkness let me sow light, where there is sadness, let me sow joy where there is .... let me try to sow something else to the opposite, sounds like that is what our Lolly and Lynne2 are doing....
I am hoping the Wanda Party was able to occur, let me tell you, things are pretty rough with temperatures right at 32. Work called and needed some help but I am not able to go in. Have things on my wrist and things in my system...but I feel badly about not answering the call to service.
God Bless Us, Every One and especially, Our Angels On Here that Never Give Up
((((((Magpie)))))) Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas day dear one. You are where you need to be and your love and thoughtfulness reaches farther than you could ever imagine.
Okay, it is officially Christmas Eve. We got our annual Christmas phone call from Rus, who is out doing his shopping. He wanted to know what to buy for Kathryn--wasn't sure which audio book she might want.
He decided while he was talking with me. Saw a book he would like and figured she would too.
Good Grief LOLLY!!! The neighbour situation is amazing and you are a good kind hearted soul. Breakfast sounded good.
WHAT??? NORAD is now involved with the Flying Green Garland and SANTA will be late? This is a complicated story...I have seen many well lit Garlands on two of Nelson's streets, they got themselves wrapped around poles...
LYNNE ignore the SIL how rude. If anyone is NOT going to have a crappy Christmas that would be you with your spirit and with your strength and with your love and with your LIGHT...Amazing lady you are...LOVE YOU MUCH and I will try your phone number tomorrow but am not sure that it is the same one any more...email me your new one please???
Saw an Eagle soaring today. Got a massage as a gift today from a spa where I have gone for yoga classes.
AWESOME two hour yoga class today and it was just perfect. Three teachers and the space was magical.
Ate chocolate and had a wonderful Vegan Christams eve meal and I feel very blessed.
Thanks MARGY for PAULA update and I get frustrated with myself when I miss posts or miss them from memory...either way thank you for bringing it forward. I managed four hours of sleep last night and it is all JUDIE'S fault as she is getting the Sandman tangled in Flying Garland and God knows what else I would be scared too if there were bodies in trunks and she is looking for them...I would not listen to instructions as to where she wants me to go and just take off!!! HURMMMMMPPPPPHHHH! No wonder he did not make it to CANADA.
Latest report is that NORAD has requested an All Points Bulletin for Santa and the still unidentified object attached to Rudolf's antlers. All police units including Nelson, B.C. are on the look out. Santa has escaped!!! There will be joy and happiness on Christmas morn.
Hoda, would I lead you astray? Not a chance. Bodies in trunks? Well, maybe I was thinking about young stud muffins in their swim trunks. Nah! I'm too old.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Merry Christmas Steve!
Good morning all!
Wanda has a feather!
Shirley, excellent telling of the Story of the Garland! In fact, I'm going to bring it over....
That garland sure has gotten around...I found it in my yard 2 years ago. Have a picture somewhere. Did it ever make it to the hide-out in Minnesota?
LYNNE, love your avatar tree!
It's something that's been all around the world, shown up in all kinds of places
'Twas our own Momster Garland, making it's rounds, putting smiles on all of our faces!
The winds on which our eagles soar have helped move our garland around,
and it takes along with it the Momsters love and prayers, the whole world to surround!
Saturday, January 02, 2010 2:50:00 PM
Wanda, I love my tree too, thanks! I can't believe I found an animated avatar that actually works!
PRICELESS, Lynne, just PRICELESS!
Thanks for telling the Garland Legend;)
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY♥
i will be home by 3. no problem!
i loved the story of the garland. that was great.
hope the camera is repaired soon. i am sure with the colder, windy weather, it is tough to take care of this right now. we are all anxious of course, but i'm certain in due time it will be fixed. ;}
everyone have a great day. my heart and thoughts are holding you close....Smiles to all!
Good morning everyone.
BBL
Oh my, I got sooooo excited about the Christmas garland my manners flew right out the window.
THANK YOU STEVE FOR ALL THE EFFORT TO BRING US THE LIVE CAM.
MAY YOU ENJOY A LOVELY HOLIDAY WITH YOUR FAMILY.
Good morning,
Thanks for the call-over, Lynne, and thanks, Steve, for the new thread and for the update on the cam info.
Thanks for bringing the story over, Lynne, and thanks for reminding us about the garland to begin with.
Thanks Steve. We are just so excited we can't help our impatience. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Always a treat to start the morning
with Good Friends....
and Heartwarming Tales of Old...
not that old, as I speak of the
Tale of the
Flying Garlands and other
miscellaneous items...
but other old good times
as well ☺ ♥
Thank you, Steve,
for the Fresh Thread,
and your Holiday Greetings...
and the Very Same to
You....
Understand about technical

but at Least we have Seen the Eagles,

Happy Baking, Strollering (Lynne2 for Steve in the Wheelchair,

Me? I shall go see
James the Wise Kidster
after awhile...
Good Morning everyone from Pennsylvania!
I love US!
Oh Yay, Morning GLori
You have reached your destination
safely and soundly!
Merry Christmas!

Whee, what a workout
for Lolly and Company!
Sounds like you moved
Mountains...
Bravo!
Shirley
I have sometimes just
shoveled the contents
of a table or area
into boxes and out
of the way...
thinking I will get it
all put back together
"some time."
I still do that and now
have an enormous job on my
hands getting things
back together...
and now, with the hands...
it ain't going to be
so easy...but "all things
in good time."
As long as I keep the bed
cleared off at night-time
not a whole lot matters for
one who lives alone. ☺
But wishes on YOUR Re-organization
projects.
Family comes to see Family,
not a neat and ordered house...
Hope all things go well for "you
and yours" in the
Holiday Days upon us
"With that said," -
I am going to start up on
my to-do list today.
Already got the prayers in ☺
"But Best Wishes"
that is.
I chuckled at some of the
late night sleep typos
God Bless Us,
Every One xoxo ♥
Good morning! I was thrilled to see Shirley's post about the garland and then Loweeeeeda's picture . Here is a link to her picture
Garland
The Garland was wrapped around our old van, blowing away. Sure miss our van...think I will go to the far frozen north to try to find it.
no no no...not MY story about the garland!
I may have recovered from yesterday. We now have until next Friday when "the move" resumes. I should add the move as well as painting. Groan.....
Poor Laurel, she is stressing. She was about to loose it last night. Whisper a little prayer for her, okay?
This morning church and then an afternoon of cooking but I will enjoy!
I might add that I am very jealous of your seeing our eagles. Have never been on when the cam was up and the eagles were in the nest.
Lynne, do not have your new address. You need to email it to me!! Please!
Margy, about the hands....if it's carpal tunnel...my co=worker just had that surgery a couple of months ago and was very glad she did! Minimal down time, maximum results!
Have fun with Jame the Wise today and give him a big MOMSTER CHRISTMAS HUG from all of us!
aw poor Laurel. Our move was tough enough, can't imagine moving a whole family. Lolly, she HAS been in my prayers...I feel for you all!
Lolly, I think Annie might just outlive us all!
Laurel calls here "The Cat that will live forever!!!!"
I am off now, need to eat a bite and finish getting ready for church.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE, Y'ALL!!♥
And a very merry Christmas eve eve to you, Lolly, and to everyone else as well.
Much to do today, but first I wanted to share my new avatar. Thought I needed to get Christmas-y.
Several appliances, I think, Jo. And perhaps some undisclosed things. However, there is no reason to think that the garland is in the secret hiding place. It may be anywhere. That garland has been known to run amok.
Gotta go. Need to thaw the turkey and finish up some shopping.
Later!
OMG who has seen the ID gum commercial with Bald Eagle with hair?? ROFLMBO!
Here is the commercial...
iD gum eagles
Very funny LYNNE2!!!! LOL!
thanks vor th werll wishes and

LORI....what part of PA are you in?
I madce myselkf laugh on thaty lat poast ☺
and this one too
Good Morning almost Afternoon
More Eagle Pals !!
I can understand closing down a house as I helped my nieces and nephews do that and get ready for auction...
fortunately, selling to a relative
saved a LOT of work with little repair or cosmetic fix ups at The Big House
New Owner can do ALL that, and got
a little cut on the price
as a matter of fact
Margy, that's AWFUL typing! LOL!
I still have leftover Auction things going on here at the apartment.
Am tempted to send the
entire apartment
AND both arms, wrists and fingers
a'sailing with the garlands
and old applicances....
Lynne -
I shall take AND deliver
the Momster Christmas Hugs to James the Wise Kidster
Hey! I am a Momster too so I guess
I shall be included...
Definitely small and BIG prayers
for Lolly's Laurel...
men - sometimes - just think things will fly off the shelf
and land where they are supposed
to land...I saw quite a lot
of that thinking in the
last few months, thank goodness
one very detailed and organized
niece showed up from Hong Kong
to do battle !
It's about the most beautiful
December Winter Day imaginable
here....going to head
out and collect some Vitamins
D and K from the Sunshine,
very soon!
so with that thought,
I wish all a
Very Merry Christmas Eve Eve...
and I must apologize, I WAS sent
Lynne2's address by Paula and was asked to pass it around...it happened in the midst of a mayhem time for me....
I am so sorry!
Lynne2: are you taking care of that as many of us would like to have it...I do, and am glad
for it...
Shirely, or is it SHRILEY:
I love your singing cat avatar..
very dear
ttfn xoxoxox ☺ ♥

Merry Eve of Christmas of Eve!
Merry Eve of Christmas Eve indeed everyone...
Watching the Cowboys while cooking. Some of the announcers are having an ugly Christmas sweater contest. OMG...they are ugly!!! Laughed out loud!
hi all:
just an FYI: a good massage therapist can help with carpal tunnel.....so can a chiropractor....
i know because i work on people with it and show them how to help themselves with it. they cannot always avoid surgery, but often, they can....
today i have: baked peanut butter blossom cookies, white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies, made no bake cookies, buckeyes....and in a bit i will make a tiramisu and some spinach dip....plus dinner.
am on a coffee break. yikes...legs and feet are tired!
Way to go Skins!
Been wrapping and went to grocery store today.
Heading out with Michael, Laura, Larry and my GF Debbie and her hubby Buddy for an evening of merriment....bbl.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!
wow Sandi, that is AWESOME! Hope Denny got some good shots!
Well, took Steve and the dogs and the cat out into the yard this afternoon...Steve in his wheelchair! Now I can't figure out how to get the &#$@*&$#! thing folded back up again. UGH.
Two very adorable Christmas movies on TMC tonight...
at 8pm the Bishop's Wife and at 10pm It Happened on Fifth Avenue.
Old classics!
Pull the seat up! :) That should do it. Hope you got it folded. Glad he went outside!
I tried Dana, I just can't do it!
when the guy at the VFW did it, it worked like a charm. GGRRRRR!!!!
Grrrrr!
Bye
Home from shopping and resting a bit. Need to collect my thoughts.
Yay! 'Skins won.
Loved the eagle/gum ad, Lynne. I had not seen it.
BBL.
Oh, Margy, misspellings of my name are fine as long as you do not replace the R with a T. And that is easy to do on a keyboard.
BEV may her transition be a peaceful one
I guess the cam hasn't worked at all today HUH ?
Got that wheelchair folded! Seems that I was just not lifting the seat with enough authority!
Well,Lynne, glad you showed that chair who's boss!!☺
Bev, prayers for peace for Granny. She has lived a long time and she is ready. What a blessing. Prayers for the family, sorry it is at this time of the year.
Watching Golden Christmas 3 So far
seems to be a good movie
THANK YOU.
I would be very careful about those reverse mortgages, Judy.
Sissy, prayers for Granny Riffe and Hoda, prayers for David Young.
There is no insurance in Egypt that people can buy for stolen cars or accidents. It is not like here. SO Samia is out of pocket for her car...I need to leave a bit as I am rambling.
I love US.
A reverse mortgage is a loan.
Hoda
Am sorry to read of Samia's misfortune and the situation in Egypt, and we don't mind the rambling, especially if it
helps you in any way to let it out.
Also very sorry about your friend, David, he sounds like a very good
friend...
Mema Jo was on at 11:07 this morning....with such a large family, I believe there are
many activities going on at her
home and probably other family
members' homes....
Thinking of you, Jo....xoxo
Noticed your post about the robbery at your store, Judy. The garden department seems to be vulnerable that way. One night, we were walking across the Walmart parking lot when we saw a man hurrying across the lot carrying something large. He was running off with the cash register from the garden department.
We could say, "He went thataway," but I think they knew that already. Just glad we did not get any closer to him. Guess maybe he had someone waiting in a getaway car. You would not want to run very far carrying a cash register. But crooks are often very dumb, so who knows? Maybe he did it on the spur of the moment.
I Saw Sharon on here one time,
happy about that,
and Sissy's post about Granny Riffe...yes, a difficult time to
lose a loved one...
but "seeing her husband" must
have been glorious for her...
Prayers for a peaceful and
pain-free transition...
(( Hugs ♥ )) to all the Family.
We had a crook rob the store two blocks from here;
he dropped the safe,
area was swarming with police,
and the dumbo drove back
through to try to get his safe.
He was nabbed!
to Janet:
Yes, I am going to check with my
trusted chiropractor first, and
also a trusted osteopathic surgeon...both of whom try to
avoid cutting, and heavy duty
medications...
I'd like to start there,
and thanks for the information!
At the Chiropractor's -
I have gotten some wonderful
massages over the years,
for sciatica, and any and all
back and shoulder problems....
I should have said
Osteopathic Doctor, I am not
sure he does surgery.
and the Chiropractor
never cuts, and never
prescribes medications.
Oh, Hoda, such a mess in Egypt. I am sorry your sister is having such problems. Twelve year old brides? Really upsetting. Harassing women over head coverings? Scary.
Congrats to Lynne on putting
it to the Wheelchair!
And James enjoyed the
Momsters Christmas Hugs....
and returns them with vigor.
He took is Kindle - a birthday
present - to McDonald's -
where there is WiFi, and
we got on Skype with his Mom
in Florida, it was a blast!
I have the skype option on
the laptop....
Sounds like a very
Christmasy week-end for Paula
and her family and friends.
Yay ☺
Really stupid crook, Margy.
Double-dumb, Shirley,
about as dumb as the burglar who could not resist checking his
FaceBook account at the home
he burglarized....then he forgot to
log off !! He got nabbed also.
And they walk amongst us!
Yesterday a guy passed counterfeit bills making a $250 purchase at
an Advanced Auto store here in town, then went to an Advanced Auto in Hagerstown trying to return them
for REAL cash...but that store had been pre-alerted, and he did not get away with that, but he had not been caught yet when I left work....but they got the Tag and it won't be long!
Here is a nice police story.
My elderly lady neighbor could not get OUT of her house yesterday afternoon; something was wrong with the doorknob.
She called 9-1-1 (I had left work, and was not home yet...)
so police were sent.
They removed her screen and climbed in through the first floor
window, and had to use a letter opener to pop the door open.
They said it was the first time
they ever had to break OUT of a house. Neighbor called emergency maintenance number, and they
were there within the hour to fix the problem.
Whew! She was in a near panic, as
well she should be, it is the only
way OUT of her apartment.
Someone here needs a long soaking
tubby, I live alone so it must be ME.
See Y'all later....
Oh, Sandi! What a great outing!
I am so glad you are so pleased
with the binoculars...
and you so well deserved to see
Eagles....
ttfn xo ♥
OH I found out something today the robber was a woman she had the gun in her purse
Good evening everyone. Granny Riffe is about the same. Low blood pressure, takes about 4 deep breaths and nothing for about 30 seconds. Please pray.
T-Bird's brother-in-law is not doing well. Can't keep anything down and they are still waiting on his bowel to wake back up.
I am totally amazed and drooling with desire at all the cooking reports here !
Okay, See Ya'
Well, it is time for the Sandperson to begin preparations for evening travel.
Judy, I would be extremely cautious and certainly do nothing without consulting a mortgage banker who has nothing to gain from you.
Prayers for those in need and for those in transition.
Oh my goodness. As I was coming down the hall the Sandperson quickly and stealthily shoved an object into the bag with the sleepy dust. I pretended not to see but...just sayin it looked shiny.
The night light is on. Restful sleep for all.
evening all.
At this point this is what I have made today:
peanut butter blossoms
choc chip cookies
white choc macadamia nut cookies
buckeyes
no bake cookies
prune cake
tiramisu
and made dinner too.....
a good part of what i made i will share with work, the kids, etc. we SURE don't need all of it. but i like to bake and share what i bake.
have a good evening all. i will see you in the a.m. SED.
On commercial Thanks for all the good advise I will talk to the
bank where my mortgage is through
when I think I will do it if
I even do it
I got two compliments two days
in a row from two different
managers My Co Mgr High Fived me with a great job keep up the good
work our store got 10% rating on
feature mgmt so that is good I guess
and the other was my AsstMgr
said I wanted to thank you cause
you do so much for the store
I do total store negatives and
need to counts daily Keeps
us of the no no list
JUDYE: about time they started kissing your feet a bit....you work hard for that place....maybe your vacation (and your absence) woke them up a bit!
I am sure you have earned the compliments many times over, Judy. Especially at this time of the year. It is truly nice to hear them, though.
Thank you MARGY and SHIRLEY...
There is also so much to be grateful for and I sing PRAISES FOR ALL OF IT THE THINGS I LIKE AND THE THINGS I RESIST.
And guess what...you and I share a birthday!

Glad you got a 2x pat on the back JudyE...wow, it makes SUCH a difference when hard work is acknowledged by your superiors, doesn't it!
I agree with JANET it is about time they recognized your work in that store. I think you do far and beyond the call of duty JUDYE.
well I am heading to bed.
Rain, sleet, snow ...howling winds headed our way. Look at a map...Hoda left the freezer door open. HODA!!!
I'll check in tomorrow! Good night and prayers, many needed tonight, for all.
Just went to Steve's fb page and left him a message!
Hoda, so very sorry about your sister's car. That is so frustrating!
Heading to the shower. Time to get comfy and relax before heading to bed.
Night all! SED
I watched 2 holidays movies - throughout the day I was busy with Christmas things here in the house.

PRAYERS♥
OK...I think I have arranged to have all my family together tomorrow afternoon to celebrate Jesus' birthday! We have always celebrated on Christmas day, but with EMTs and firemen in the family...there are so few days to place everyone in the right place at the right time! (We have 4 family members who work with the Fire Dept.)
I do know that Rachael & Robbie and Jayden are coming...so happy to have them♥
GG has become VERY uncomfortable with a lot of people in her house, so I promised to give her a pain and nerve pill before everyone gets there:)
Good night dear friends and rest well.
Love and prayers for all♥
Merry Christmas Eve to all my Momster and Dadster friends.
All my prayers go out to those that need them. Alot of sad news I read on hear tonight.
ON a good note, How about those Skins!!!! I was watching and screaming and Jessica, said, Mom, Now that sounded like Grandma! I said just imagine the sounds coming from Heaven!!! She is definetely screaming for joy!!!
Christmas is not going to be the same...yet, starting a new tradition. I am fixing dinner with Christie's help...it will be my hubby, kids and I, Christie and Shannon and my Dad. It is also the eighth month to the day that Mom left us. Merry Christmas in Heaven Mom, you are missed so very much and by so many!! We love you, we love us. Merry Christmas to each of you!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS CAROLYN...proud of you and your setting a tradition. Love Jessica saying you sound just like Grandma...Yes indeed how about those Skins...
You are indeed your Mother's Daughter and she would be so proud of you for looking after family and making memories for the young grand daughters too...Love you and Christie very much and proud of you two very much.
Make it a great day all! I love you all!
Good very early morning (your time) Hoda!! =)
Good Morning SANDI...
Have a safe trip and enjoy the Christmas energy.
Safe travels.
Good Christmas Eve Morning
EAGLEBUDLETS
I hope each of you have a great day
You too JUDYE
Have a good day at work and I hope it is not too crazy in the store...
Are you going ot ANGIE'S after work?
Does anyone remember when was the last time PAULA checked in? Is she spending Christmas with family or with LARRY or are they all going to be together. I do not remember any posts on her plans...
good morning all!
(smiles)!
In case anyone was wondering Still Cam is off!!! I always am so hopeful, maybe after Christmas...
Have a terrific day JANET.
Thank you.
thanks HODA ((((HUGS))))))
Good Morning Eagle Pals...

xoxox ☺ ♥
Hoda:
Here you go:
"Way to go Skins!
Been wrapping and went to grocery store today.

But I don't remember, sorry
what the Christmas Eve and Day

Quite sure it will include
time with Son John, Ajay, and the the grandchildren
Safe Traveling Wishes for All....
Hoping that today there will be

YOU ALL ARE WITH ME IN SPIRIT...
EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR...

Google has a Wonderful Graphic
this Morning...
Merry Christmas Eve.....
Although for me..
It's a Migraine Christmas Eve. :(
This was just horrible. I wooke up
At 5:30am (That can be horrible alone
For me!), but I woke up from a very vivid
dream of being in Newtown, CT. I saw
those precious faces. I knew the kids,
and I was crying. I woke Dennis up
with my sobbing...
It felt soooo real and my heart was
sooooo torn apart. I just can't imagine
what those families are feeling.
Anyways, for me it was only a dream.
The migraine was real!
It's a little better now. Hoping it will
get better throughout the day!
Whew! What a way to wake up!!

MTBR

What to do? What to do?
Linda...so sorry about the migraine. Not good!!
Need to get my day started. Need to get the turkey out and prepare it for popping into the oven in the morning, make the dressing, and three pies, pecan, pumpkin and apple. Want to get this done before Candlelite service at church at 6. Then Jack and I will come home and have out fillet mignon!!

Merry Christmas Eve!
It's snowing here :)
Happy Holidays to All ☺
That's early, not weary!
Love to all ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I Love us!
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
Evening all! At Mom's - headed to Denny's brother and sister-in-law's house.
Have a wonderful evening! Merry Christmas!!!
Need to go clean up.
I'll get back on later tonight.
Kay, have fun!
Yes, there HAS to be an explanation....he wouldn't just up and go and leave her without a good reason.
His grandchildren and ggrandchildren live in Denver. He has not seen them in two years.
Bless your heart LOLLY for being such a good neighbor and friend!
Big Hugs!
Home from work

I was supportive to Steve's sister. She just does this sort of thing. I am not sure why she does this. Maybe feels misery loves company and she wants some company? I feel sorry for her. I tried to be cheery with her...
Giving up Don't know whey they
aren't working
We have a White Christmas Eve here in Martinsburg...white and slippery.
I have said the Prayer of Saint often today, BEFORE I read the
most recent tough news posts..
where there is darkness let me sow light,
where there is sadness, let me sow joy
where there is ....
let me try to sow something else
to the opposite,
sounds like that is what our Lolly and Lynne2 are doing....
I am hoping the Wanda Party was able to occur, let me tell you,
things are pretty rough with temperatures right at 32.
Work called and needed some help but I am not able to go in.
Have things on my wrist and things in my system...but I feel badly about not answering the call to
service.
God Bless Us, Every One

Friends and Family;

Us

((((((Magpie)))))) Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas day dear one. You are where you need to be and your love and thoughtfulness reaches farther than you could ever imagine.
Hi,
Okay, it is officially Christmas Eve. We got our annual Christmas phone call from Rus, who is out doing his shopping. He wanted to know what to buy for Kathryn--wasn't sure which audio book she might want.
He decided while he was talking with me. Saw a book he would like and figured she would too.
"It's the [Momster and Dadster]
Company" I keep, dear Glo....
and Thank You!
I liked the Dex Vet Staff
picture...very merry!
I just remembered to remind
folks to listen for the
animals talking at Midnight....
Rus is going dancing with his Jewish friends tonight.
Oh my..
The Prayer of Saint Francis...
I left the word "Francis"
out
Hi There, Shirley, sounds
good at Your Roost...
and now I disappear for awhile, but
I have Handel's Messiah
playing ... I play it well into
February !
MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE DAY every one.
I love US.
We had blue skies today and it was wonderful.
Latest report is that NORAD has requested an All Points Bulletin for Santa and the still unidentified object attached to Rudolf's antlers. All police units including Nelson, B.C. are on the look out. Santa has escaped!!! There will be joy and happiness on Christmas morn.
Okay, I am really weary tonight.
Baked a pumpkin pie with whipped cream topping, and creamy mac & cheese for the working police dinner tomorrow night.
Baked an apple pie, made cranberry sauce, made dressing, turkey is brining.
Weary, yes weary tonight.
Hoda, would I lead you astray? Not a chance. Bodies in trunks? Well, maybe I was thinking about young stud muffins in their swim trunks. Nah! I'm too old.
SPLIT !!!
