Hi y'all.
Wow! What a great way to say farewell to 2012 and welcome to 2013. The nest, snow-filled as it is, is an absolutely beautiful sight and the wind is music to hear. We must be grateful to Steve, Nu, and all others involved for bringing us a live cam to watch Shep and Belle begin a new cycle of life.
The sandperson has made no secret that rounds will begin early in this part of the world. Visits will be timed to allow the welcoming of 2013 either in real time or in the morning depending on the preference of each momster and dadster.
The blog family has survived another year. Let us welcome the new year with thoughts of love and compassion and support.
Thanks for the new thead, Steve, and for the call-over, Judie.
And, yes, the cams are up. Thanks Rocker. Do not believe we have met.
Going to try to make it until midnight. Don't know if I will.
Just checking in in between movies. I definitely have sound - had to turn the speakers down b/c the wind was so loud.
Grilled some steaks and now we're just chillin' in front of the TV.

Did lots of cleaning today...it is a tradition to clean away all the cobwebs of the old year and to meet the new with a clean surface. I liked it as it was snowing and I had the windows open while cleaning...
LOLLY you are awesome and how you help LAUREL and Family is inspirational.post pictures of her kitchen and keep us posted as to JACOB adjusting to the new neighbourhood. I am sure he will be fine. I am glad JOSEPH is settled with it and I think it will help JACOB.

As 2012 comes to an end, I reflect on all of the blessings from a whirlwind of a year. I have learned so much this year...about myself, my family, and the awesome people who get in the "trenches" with you when things get all too real. I am truly a blessed woman...I have two beautiful blue-eyed boys, a super husband, a wonderful family, an awesome support network, and a mighty God that has held us close and carried us through it all. We have been so fortunate in so many ways that I can't begin to write them all. As I say goodbye to this year of treasured trials, I am excited to see what 2013 has in store. Happy New Year- hugs & prayers from Boston!!

I sure have missed seeing our eagles in the early mornings. Speaking of early morning routines, this may be the last early weekday morning that I'm able to post for a while. Once I start back to school tomorrow, I doubt that I'll have much time to sit and chat before heading off to school, now that I have 4 dogs to get outside and feed.

I am just going to cut and paste my Facebook posts from last night and this morning on here.
On New Year's Eve in 1971, my sister, Doa, (Donna) worked on fixing up my Nanny's basement. She put a rug, a couch and a TV down there and then proceeded to have a New Year's Eve party, just for me. Although we lost her almost 6 years ago, the tradition continues and is growing. I am so grateful to know that she still lives through all of us that knew and loved her. Miss her terribly every day.

Checked the nest this morning. I see the fresh flugg there.
Electrician has come and gone. He did not find any problem in the electric panel, which is nice to know. We were afraid there was a short circuit.
He will return on Friday to fix the circuit in the basement so that Will can have enough power down there. We were having lots of problems.
I have not been able to use a hair dryer in my bathroom without throwing a circuit breaker. And he explained to Will what needs to be done to waterproof the outdoor outlets so that water does not get into them when it rains.
I just might take a nap before doing anything else today. Then I will cook the pork roast. Need to go buy something to go with it.
From last night:
Tonight, in the house that built me, we had a blast of a New Year's Eve party. There haven't been that many people in this house in probably 10 years. I am a very grateful soul. (17 people). :)

not a lot of plans to day. black eyed peas are already cooking. think it will be just us. i will take some over to the neighbor as they just got back from N.C the other day and now the son (my age) has the nasty virus going thru the area....102 fever and flu like symptons. he may not want to eat, but she is 73 and needs to eat. she's lost too much weight recently.
everyone have a super day. its wet here so likely won't do too much. read some more? relax? i seem to be able to do more of that lately. :)

Later, a traditional dinner of pork and black eyed peas. Hate the peas but disguise them with tobasco, onion, ham hock. Doing ribs smothered in sauerkraut.

Hi Delphia! If you're correct that the juvie was about 3 years old, then it wasn't one of the kids from last season. And yet, Belle didn't fly in and attack or try to defend the nest. She made a lot of noise but waited til the juvie flew out to fly in! VERY interessting!!
I guess y'all saw that juvie in the nest....I can't get live camera to load through IE, so went to Chrome. Anyway, I would like to think it was one of the family coming back to eat a holidaydinner with the folks.lol

there WAS a juvie Janet! It's gone now. Not a lot of fuss by Belle. It ate something, flew off.
Now I can't access the photos. My membership in the group is gone. I guess because I have been inactive in yahoo! I'll have to wait to view the pictures of the juvee.
So what do you think. If it's 3 years old it can't be last years, and the year before was the year the eaglets died, so that means 2010?
What year was Palmer? Was he a single or did he have siblings?
