MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

Merry Christmas Steve!

Good morning all!

Wanda has a feather!

Shirley, excellent telling of the Story of the Garland! In fact, I'm going to bring it over....

Costume Lady said...

That garland sure has gotten around...I found it in my yard 2 years ago. Have a picture somewhere. Did it ever make it to the hide-out in Minnesota?

LYNNE, love your avatar tree!

Lynne2 said...

I wrote this after a mystical experience last night...

Outside the wind is blowing, branches waving too and fro.
The moon is bright on this winter night, but it's just a bit scary, you know?

I heard a strange sound, a noise, or just a feeling? so I stood for a moment in pause.
A bit early I thought, but maybe... it's crazy...could it be Santa Claus?

Suddenly I glimpsed something long and shiny, and it was just a little bit tattered.
Though it blew by so fast, I knew it was something special, something that really mattered!

It's something that's been all around the world, shown up in all kinds of places
'Twas our own Momster Garland, making it's rounds, putting smiles on all of our faces!

The winds on which our eagles soar have helped move our garland around,
and it takes along with it the Momsters love and prayers, the whole world to surround!

Then, there were questions! Some of our newer Momsters were unaware of the GARLAND!

So, Shirley told the story....

THE LEGEND OF THE GARLAND

Once upon a time. . . (at 2:50 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2010, to be exact), the Legend of the Garland began.

But I must set the background first. At that time there dwelt two sisters within the Blog, their names being Ceil and Mits. They are beloved ladies. (Mits may still be found upon the pages of Facebook where she appears as Helen.)

Anyway, I digress.

Upon this windy day in January, another Momster named Jo had lost her trashcan, and it was speculated that it might have blown away. Fortunately, Jo found her trashcan, but then Ceil made the following comment:

ceil said...
"Well wind is so strong it blew the garland off the front window and broke the ornaments."

Saturday, January 02, 2010 2:50:00 PM

Thereafter, there came many sightings of the lovely garland throughout Blogland and upon many places of the earth. The sightings were sometimes documented with pictures posted by various Momsters. Wanda once spotted it in a restaurant, and, as I recall, Loretta found it flying high along with other objects from our adventures. She posted appropriate documentation in the form of a picture.

It did not stop flying in the wintertime, and was spotted in the heat of August that year.

The Legend of the Garland has fixed itself into the Internet and may be found by typing certain words into a search engine. Knowing that I had made many comments about the garland, I merely typed in my screen name and the words "flying garland."

Lynne2 said...

Wanda, I love my tree too, thanks! I can't believe I found an animated avatar that actually works!

PRICELESS, Lynne, just PRICELESS!
Thanks for telling the Garland Legend;)
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY♥

Well Wanda best I can tell you is fierce winds on Thurs were indeed circling down from the north which indeed is MN for me. COPIED OVER FROM OLD THREAD as it involves flying shiny things and perhaps and eye witness or 2. "Good morning all. Word had it on the news late Thurs actually of a bright shiny object zipping through the Marina and headed south east in fierce winds. The eagles here were smart enough to not try to catch it but did wing it along with Christmas wishes far and wide. I will go see if I can get photos of the witnesses that saw it. They may be able to add some info to how our garland fairs over all this time. Prayers for all and wishes for a good day.

good Sunday morning: THANKS STEVE FOR A NEW THREAD! :)

SANDI: i am with you. i never knew my dad's parents, and my mom's parents visited from germany when i was about 6 or 7, but i spoke no german...and i was a child, and they adults. i do remember playing with my german grandfather a bit....but he died in 1970 and my grandmother a few years later. she did come to live with us, for a while, judy may remember for how long, i do not. but i don't have any real memories of them....just a snippet here and there.

tom's folks died in 2002 and 2003 (3 months apart)< olivia was born in 2001. my parents died in 2005 and 2007, so we do what we can to keep the memories alive.

i think that's why its so important to me to have this very personal relationship with my own grandchildren. i want to play, to bake, to do whatever i can with them. its something i never had.

anyway, glad the trip to kentucky is over. i found what judy and i did not want to find, people living in my parent's house. i was very upset last night and judy and i continue our battle....makes me very angry and very sad all at the same time.

today i am baking. chelsea has asked that i make a spinach dip for tomorrow night. the kids will all come over and we will have finger foods and enjoy each other's company...while we "wait for bedtime" so santa can come!

i am making tom's family holiday cake; a prune cake which is delicious! and cookies, and this n that.

i work tomorrow, of course. i have a full schedule and am looking forward to it. :)

i will be home by 3. no problem!

i loved the story of the garland. that was great.

hope the camera is repaired soon. i am sure with the colder, windy weather, it is tough to take care of this right now. we are all anxious of course, but i'm certain in due time it will be fixed. ;}

everyone have a great day. my heart and thoughts are holding you close....Smiles to all!

Good morning everyone.

How nice to have some fun on the blog again. Thank you Shirley and Lynne and others who remember "the" garland's adventures.

As for the secret hiding place, Hoda, it is a place well-hidden in the snow and cold where bears roam freely and give us new bears to watch. Perhaps the body missing from the trunk is there? Well, we shall solve that mystery, I'm sure.

Soon to begin baking cookies -- especially for the police officer that uses our driveway as a hideout to catch stop sign violators.

Good morning,

Thanks for the call-over, Lynne, and thanks, Steve, for the new thread and for the update on the cam info.

Slept in after my late night. Must have some coffee this morning. Have been trying very hard to reclaim my dining room. Actually managed to clear the stuff out of the living room. It is amazing how much junk and non-junk has accumulated in this house.

So glad you enjoyed the garland story. We have had lots of fun here on this blog.

Those of you who are new do know that you can go back and read prior threads don't you? The links are on the bottom of Steve's page.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for bringing the story over, Lynne, and thanks for reminding us about the garland to begin with.

Thanks Steve. We are just so excited we can't help our impatience. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I think it was Sandi who mentioned parents going directly to classrooms. That was not supposed to happen in Culpeper. There was a receptionist's desk near the front door, and parents were to stop there. I'm sure there still is.

When the woman (actually there were two women) got to my room during classtime, the receptionist had taken a bathroom break. She apologized profusely for having left her desk, but good grief, she needed a break. I expect they have fixed this problem now, and she probably has someone she can call on to cover for her.

It was the receptionist who told me what the woman said when she was removed from the building.

There was, and I am sure, still is, a security officer (unarmed) and a county sheriff's resource officer (armed).

After these women came to my room, I called the office and told them what had happened. They spotted the intruding women on the security cams and nabbed them.

There are many cams in the building. Kids have been known to reach up and turn the cam towards the wall when they want to do something they do not want officials to see. Crafty devils, they are.

The Garland was wrapped around our old van, blowing away. Sure miss our van...think I will go to the far frozen north to try to find it.

Lynne2 said...

no no no...not MY story about the garland! MY poem SHRILEY's story explanation! And how hilarious it is to google stonghunter flying garland and see all of the links to the past posts!!!

Glo, somehow I MISSED your sighting! Very happy to know that your Marina eagles helped to wing it along with Christmas wishes! Hope you get to the Marina today!

Lolly said...

I may have recovered from yesterday. We now have until next Friday when "the move" resumes. I should add the move as well as painting. Groan.....

Poor Laurel, she is stressing. She was about to loose it last night. Whisper a little prayer for her, okay?

This morning church and then an afternoon of cooking but I will enjoy!

I might add that I am very jealous of your seeing our eagles. Have never been on when the cam was up and the eagles were in the nest.

Lolly said...

Lynne, do not have your new address. You need to email it to me!! Please!

Lynne2 said...

Margy, about the hands....if it's carpal tunnel...my co=worker just had that surgery a couple of months ago and was very glad she did! Minimal down time, maximum results!

Have fun with Jame the Wise today and give him a big MOMSTER CHRISTMAS HUG from all of us!

Lynne2 said...

aw poor Laurel. Our move was tough enough, can't imagine moving a whole family. Lolly, she HAS been in my prayers...I feel for you all!

Lolly said...

Lynne, I want you to know that Annie is doing great. She is eating us out of house and home and maintaining a weight of 10 lbs. Last night Jack dropped a length of small rope and Annie attacked it with vigor. During the day she sleeps a lot and she sleeps deeply.

Lynne2 said...

Lori, I just bet your dad is glad you are there! and you mom, too! Hope you all manage to have a Christmas full of Joy! where abouts in PA are you? Snow coming for much of PA.....

Lynne2 said...

Lolly, I think Annie might just outlive us all!

Lolly said...

Thank you, Lynne. It is breaking Laurel's heart to leave their present house. They have been there 12 years, moved there when Joseph was 4 months old.

She has been great getting a lot packed. Joey on the other hand has been procrastinating. Why? There is so much that he could have packed away. He has not even touched his garage. He has no idea how much he still has to do.

Good morning everyone and thank you Steve for the fresh new thread. I, like all of you, keep bringing up our cam to the black screen - I know soon it will be corrected. Frustrating for us and for those trying to fix it.

I remember all the laughter we had concerning the Flying Garland - later didn't we have an appliance fly to the same place? I may be dreaming.

stronghunter said...

Much to do today, but first I wanted to share my new avatar. Thought I needed to get Christmas-y.

stronghunter said...

Several appliances, I think, Jo. And perhaps some undisclosed things. However, there is no reason to think that the garland is in the secret hiding place. It may be anywhere. That garland has been known to run amok.

stronghunter said...

Gotta go. Need to thaw the turkey and finish up some shopping.

Sandi said...

Back from great tennis - won the first set and lost the second, but by a score of 8-6. Worked off a bunch of Christmas cookie calories!!

Shirley, thanks for explaining the garland!

Lori, glad you're with your mom and dad!

Lolly, I understand Laurel's stress. We had been in our Baltimore house for 28 years - the only house our boys ever lived in. We decided on June 5, 2006 to sell it b/c Denny knew he was going to lose his job and we figured he would never earn another salary that would allow us to keep the house in Baltimore and the one in Bethany. We had to clean out a lot of stuff between the 5th and the 18th just to get it ready to go on the market (and it was the end of the school year for me). The house sold in 6 days and, by late July, we had settled and moved here. It was indeed a stressful time for us!

OK, I have a date with a bucket, a dust cloth, and a vacuum cleaner! Would love to get to the nearby eagle nest and try my new binoculars. The wind has died down and the sun is out. Later!

What an afternoon we had!! After reading Margy's post about the beautiful weather today, I decided to delay cleaning the upstairs. Instead, Denny and I took my new binoculars and his camera and set out for the wildlife refuge area about 10 minutes from the house. We were able to find the dock directly across the water from the eagle nest we found by kayak in the fall. We sat down on the dock and, within 2 minutes, there was an eagle!! Within another minute, the other one appeared!!

We watched them soar above the nest for a while and then one zoomed in for a landing in the nest and called out - what a beautiful sound!! After about 10 minutes, the one in the nest took off again and they both soared above the nest together. Watching the sunlight reflect off of those beautiful white head and tail feathers was just breathtaking!!

We stayed for about 40 minutes until my butt started getting cold from sitting on the wooden dock. So now we know that the nest is an active one and the eagles are in the area. Guess I know where I'll be spending lots of my free time on the weekends this winter and next spring!

My new binoculars worked great!! Not sure if Denny got any good shots with his zoom - wish we had Lori's big lens and a tripod!

Now home to see if the Ravens can pull out a win. Pittsburgh game just ended and the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs - YAY!! (Sorry Lynne!!)

Good evening everyone I just wanted to let y'all know that they have called the family in for Granny Riffe (Tom's mother). Her breathing is getting more shallow and farther apart. They are saying it won't be long, probably within the next few days if not today. Love and hugs to all. Not even sure what to pray for, ya know. God bless her heart, she is ready to go, has been for a while. She said she saw Mervyn (Tom's dad) yesterday and he was so happy to see her. He has been gone for about 12 years now. She is tired and ready to go home.

Hey does anyone have any advise on reverse mortgages I know Carls grandmother had it on her house she had borrowed money for repairs etc and it was only 20T so when she passed away they only would have had to pay the bank 20T plus the going interest rate at the time and there also was another small fee but don't remember it I was just thinking I could do that let my house pay be I only owe 14T on it now and could just do it I know you can get in trouble if you borrow tooo much and live longer that you though LOL Just something I was thinking about milling over in the old noggin

By Friday night he died. I know him to be a funny and strong and compassionate and loving friend. I will miss him very much. He is a great soul indeed. Send a prayer his way that he might journey well and I am sure he will find joy wherever he is heading. He was an awesome man and a wonderful friend. He was my boss before he became my friend. My sister in Egypt phoned and yesterday at one her car was stolen from infront of her house. They drove off with the car sirens going loud and clear. She is upset. There is no law and order left on the streets of Cairo. They are also thinking of lowering the leagal marriage age for girls to 12years old!!! My head spun around with this one...the Islamists won the referendum on the constitution and heaven help us all. Noticed your post about the robbery at your store, Judy. The garden department seems to be vulnerable that way. One night, we were walking across the Walmart parking lot when we saw a man hurrying across the lot carrying something large. He was running off with the cash register from the garden department.

We could say, "He went thataway," but I think they knew that already. Just glad we did not get any closer to him. Guess maybe he had someone waiting in a getaway car. You would not want to run very far carrying a cash register. But crooks are often very dumb, so who knows? Maybe he did it on the spur of the moment.

an Advanced Auto store here in town, then went to an Advanced Auto in Hagerstown trying to return them
for REAL cash...but that store had been pre-alerted, and he did not get away with that, but he had not been caught yet when I left work....but they got the Tag and it won't be long!

Here is a nice police story.
My elderly lady neighbor could not get OUT of her house yesterday afternoon; something was wrong with the doorknob.
She called 9-1-1 (I had left work, and was not home yet...)
so police were sent.
They removed her screen and climbed in through the first floor
window, and had to use a letter opener to pop the door open.
They said it was the first time
they ever had to break OUT of a house. Neighbor called emergency maintenance number, and they
were there within the hour to fix the problem.
Whew! She was in a near panic, as
well she should be, it is the only
way OUT of her apartment.

Well, it is time for the Sandperson to begin preparations for evening travel.

Judy, I would be extremely cautious and certainly do nothing without consulting a mortgage banker who has nothing to gain from you.

Prayers for those in need and for those in transition.

Oh my goodness. As I was coming down the hall the Sandperson quickly and stealthily shoved an object into the bag with the sleepy dust. I pretended not to see but...just sayin it looked shiny.

The night light is on. Restful sleep for all.

evening all.

I AM POOPED! i managed to drop 4 eggs on the floor...ewww and one of my tiramisu (s) flopped upside down on the floor as well. :{ THANKFULLY i had some of that really good super sticky cling wrap on it and we managed to flip it over. it was the one just for us, so if it is ugly noone cares.

i have spent quite literally the entire day in the kitchen and i am very tired.

MAGPIE: i am glad when people check with alternative health care options before they seek surgery. too often i see people with surgeries, still in pain THEN come to me to make them feel better. obviously, i am not a doctor. i can work with a person on a muscular level and of course with Reiki, so I can do a lot, but, i cannot reverse surgeries! and sometimes, i get that they are necessary, but not always. i see a lot of doctors who seem to want to cut first, try other things second....

HODA: such scary news from Egypt......hard to believe in this day and time......but I know its true. Sending light and love to you and yours my friend...

BEV: sending comfort and peace to you and yours...may the transition be peaceful

Okay folks, I need a long hot shower....and put my feet up for a bit. At this point this is what I have made today:

peanut butter blossoms
choc chip cookies
white choc macadamia nut cookies
buckeyes
no bake cookies
prune cake
tiramisu

and made dinner too.....

a good part of what i made i will share with work, the kids, etc. we SURE don't need all of it. but i like to bake and share what i bake.

have a good evening all. i will see you in the a.m. SED.

On the reverse mortgage--I did see a news story on this subject recently, and the advice was to be very careful and not to go into such a thing without exploring other options.

They use Henry Winkler and Fred Thompson, and it is easy to believe you know these people, but they are just two men earning money by doing an advertisement.

stronghunter said...

There was one story about a couple who got a reverse mortgage. The husband died and the wife lost the house because she was not yet 62, too young to have a reverse mortgage.

oh my gosh Hoda....I missed your writing about Val's passing, I'm so sorry. And now David...geez. What was he in hospital for? And I'm saddened to read of your sister's car theft and the events in Egypt.

Years ago, maybe, oh, 6 or 7...there had been a young man from Egypt named Hatem working at the gas station down the street. He was a nice kid, and he worked there for a couple of years. He had to go back to Egypt...I don't remember why now. But I remember even back then that he was worried that he'd not be able to leave again. I have often wondered over the years what became of him.

Lynne2 said...

wow, so cool that Jame can Skype with his mom! To think that when I was that age...well, geez, you had to wait until after 11 at night to call anyone long distance during the week because to call any other time was way too expensive! Letters were written and sent snail mail....good grief, how did we ever survive all that WAITING!!

Hoda said...

LYNNE if he was a young man he would have had the worry of military service back then.
That is why he would have worried about being allowed to leave.

Thank you for your kindness.

David had broken his hip. He was doing so well and they had him up and about with a walker. He spoke to me from the hospital on my Birthday and sang me Happy Birthday in November. We laughed. This was the last time I heard his voice. Carol, his wife, spoke of his courage and his love. He had had Chemo therapy over the years and I think it made his bones brittle...He would have not liked to have lived with a walker...he was too much of an adventourous soul for that...I will miss him a lot...trying to see if I can make it to Alberta for his service on Friday the 28th...I don't think I want to drive in the Rocky Mountains without four wheel drive in the winter and I will see what flights are there...maybe if it is not too expensive I could fly or even rent a four wheel drive? I will investigate tomorrow...he used to say "think things through and be clear Hoda"...so this is where I am with it...thinking it through...he has two sons and Grand Children and a loving and adoring wife who gave him a very good life. As she said tonight he gave her the gift of a loving and compassionate life.

Good Christmas Eve morning Carolyn and all my eagle friends!!

Bev, I too pray that Tom's mom's passing is a peaceful one, though this is an especially tough time of year to lose someone you love. I truly believe that, when we leave this Earth, someone is right there next to us waiting to make the journey with us - I've heard from too many that they see someone in the room with them. It's comforting to know that Tom's dad will be that someone for his mom.

Thelma, I'm sending prayers and positive energy to your brother-in-law that his surgery was successful and that his body will start to heal.

Carolyn, this will be a difficult Christmas for you and Christie but I'm sure your mom will be smiling as you start a new tradition. Know that she will be right there with you all in spirit!

Wanda, have a wonderful "Christmas Day one day early" with your family!

Prayers for Jo, Michael, little Isaac, Dana's dad, Lori's dad, Jim's sister, Glo's mom-in-law, Lynne's Steve, Hoda who has so much on her mind right now with her sister in Egypt and the death of 2 friends this week, and all other needs on our blog.

Driving to Mom's in Balto. to drop the dogs off there. We'll spend the evening with Denny's family celebrating our niece Meredith's birthday (which is today). Then we'll spend the night at Mom's and be at my sister's house to watch her kids open their gifts tomorrow. Will see Brian and Lynnis this evening and again tomorrow as well.

Make it a great day all! I love you all!

good morning all!

HODA; so sorry for your loss! :( i missed that post somehow....blessed be, my friend....hugs, light, and love...

LYNNE2: you are completely right, insurance pays to help to repair you, but not to help to keep you well. i completely understand. it is a deep frustration of mine....that's one reason i like Massage Envy, they of course, want to make money, but the prices of the massages are affordable for most people.....and now that alternative treatments, such as acupuncture are becoming more well known, there are often people who will use a sliding scale for payment....

and again, i am not against western medicine, not at all. it certainly has its place, but i think we will benefit most when the east and the west can hold hands (symbolically speaking) and use the best of both, and be able to AFFORD the best of both.....medically.

As for Reiki, that is something you yourself can learn and do for yourself. It is truly very simple.

And we share a birthday! HOW COOL! I KNew I liked you (wink wink).
:) Yeah CAPRICORNS! lol.

It is going to rain rain rain here today, and they SAY changing to snow on Wednesday. I will believe it when I see it.

Workign til 2 today.....then heading home. Kids coming over, having finger foods, etc and just being together tonight......

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day today. Hugs, light, love and healing for all in need....keeping everyone close in heart and thought. (smiles)!

Merry Christmas Eve.....

Although for me..
It's a Migraine Christmas Eve. :(

This was just horrible. I wooke up
At 5:30am (That can be horrible alone
For me!), but I woke up from a very vivid
dream of being in Newtown, CT. I saw
those precious faces. I knew the kids,
and I was crying. I woke Dennis up
with my sobbing...

It felt soooo real and my heart was
sooooo torn apart. I just can't imagine
what those families are feeling.

Anyways, for me it was only a dream.
The migraine was real!

It's a little better now. Hoping it will
get better throughout the day!

Whew! What a way to wake up!!

I will have to keep my eye out for that, for sure!! LOL

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas Eve!! We had an early Christmas Eve service last night, which was very nice. Our Pastor is traveling to see family, so we moved it up a day, since we are a small congregation.

Michael (my step-son) has arrived from his long drive from FL and will most likely sleep all day! We will wake him for dinner. It's the traditional Prime Rib Christmas Eve dinner at our house and then over to some close friends' house for dessert. They are like family to us!

Where ever you are.....
What ever you do......
Enjoy the love and relationships you have with family and friends !!

I will try to check back in later......

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

In effort to keep spirits up around here, I borrowed a 4ft tree, got some egg nog and munchies and some chicken for Christmas dinner only to come to a husband in a very crappy mood. Great. His friend Dave, who has managed to pretend like his coming to see him since the accident failed him once again...yesterday, when he went fishing instead. Then this morning, he told Steve once again he was going to come and Steve waited for 4 hours for him to call back, and then gave up and when to bed. Of course Dave called while he was napping. Some friend. Then his ever depressing sister called here. She said she was calling today because she KNEW that we'd be having a sh**ty Christmas tomorrow just like her so she was getting the call out of the way today. WHAT?? Then she started crying. HO HO HO!! I have no intention of having anything other than a nice Christmas! I sent Steve and his bad attitude back to bed...LOL!

(((Hugs)) Lynne! Who needs enemies and sisters when you have a friend and a sister like that! Keep up the cheer, Lynne! It is bound to wipe off on Steve!

Let me tell you our hectic day!! I have baked 3 pies, and made dressing and mixed up the refrigerater yeast rolls. In the midst of this I called our neighbor. Yesterday Jim came over and gave us a key to the house and 3 phone numbers. He was heading out to Denver and would we check on JoAnn. Jo Ann is in the last stages of liver cancer. What???? He is leaving??? Well, he left and this morning I called. She was still in bed. Had fallen during the night to get up going to the bathroom. Thought she needed to go to the hospital. She was going to call her doctor. Then Jack comes in and tells me there is an ambulance. We hurry over, I help her to the bathroom, tend to the dog, lock the house, and they take her away and she does not want me to call Jim. Well, I talk with a neighbor and he is furious like I am. "Well, I am calling him, he said, she did not tell me not to call."

We have church at 6, leaving shortly to go to the hospital first.

She has a son 30 to 45 minutes away. Where is he? Good grief!!!

Need to go clean up.

I'll get back on later tonight.

Kay, have fun!

Lori O. said...

LOLLY, that is insane that your neighbor would leave his wife like that! My Heavens!!!! Thank God, you were there to check on her, but what a turd he is for leaving a woman in the last stages of cancer like that!!!

LYNNE, Lolly is right. Keep up your cheer and surely it will rub off on Steve! Big Hugs, sister!

Lynne2 said...

OMG why did he go to Denver? Is there some sort of emergency there? Do you think this might be something they agreed upon, maybe so she could...oh I hate to say it, die without him having to be here for it? There MUST be some logical explanation for this....right?

Lynne2 said...

Yes, there HAS to be an explanation....he wouldn't just up and go and leave her without a good reason.

Lolly said...

Yes, Lori, all of the rest of us neighbors are wondering about this. What was he thinking?

We are ready now...tried to find a card appropriate to leave with Jo Ann. You have to think of what the card says, and I am limited with what I have around here. Also, taking her a cinnamon roll and will ask the nurses to warm it for her. Have a pen to write her a note in case she is asleep. Grrr! So furious with him.

Wish you all could see her darling dog, Bandit. He is precious and wants attention. I will go see him again tonight. He has a doggie door to go in and out. Another neighbor is supposed to feed him, but I have not been able to get in touch with her. Will keep trying!

where there is ....
let me try to sow something else
to the opposite,
sounds like that is what our Lolly and Lynne2 are doing....

I am hoping the Wanda Party was able to occur, let me tell you,
things are pretty rough with temperatures right at 32.
Work called and needed some help but I am not able to go in.
Have things on my wrist and things in my system...but I feel badly about not answering the call to
service.

God Bless Us, Every One
and especially, Our Angels On Here that Never Give Up

I so very much treasure my
Friends and Family;
That makes it Christmas
all the Year-Round....

We lost a lot of our most special
people this year, very very sad,
but I Believe...I Believe, that they Are and Always Will Be with
Us

Hi,

Okay, it is officially Christmas Eve. We got our annual Christmas phone call from Rus, who is out doing his shopping. He wanted to know what to buy for Kathryn--wasn't sure which audio book she might want.

He decided while he was talking with me. Saw a book he would like and figured she would too.

I liked the Dex Vet Staff

Good Grief LOLLY!!! The neighbour situation is amazing and you are a good kind hearted soul. Breakfast sounded good.

WHAT??? NORAD is now involved with the Flying Green Garland and SANTA will be late? This is a complicated story...I have seen many well lit Garlands on two of Nelson's streets, they got themselves wrapped around poles...

LYNNE ignore the SIL how rude. If anyone is NOT going to have a crappy Christmas that would be you with your spirit and with your strength and with your love and with your LIGHT...Amazing lady you are...LOVE YOU MUCH and I will try your phone number tomorrow but am not sure that it is the same one any more...email me your new one please???

Saw an Eagle soaring today.
Got a massage as a gift today from a spa where I have gone for yoga classes.

AWESOME two hour yoga class today and it was just perfect. Three teachers and the space was magical.

Ate chocolate and had a wonderful Vegan Christams eve meal and I feel very blessed.

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE DAY every one.

I love US.

Thanks MARGY for PAULA update and I get frustrated with myself when I miss posts or miss them from memory...either way thank you for bringing it forward.
I managed four hours of sleep last night and it is all JUDIE'S fault as she is getting the Sandman tangled in Flying Garland and God knows what else I would be scared too if there were bodies in trunks and she is looking for them...I would not listen to instructions as to where she wants me to go and just take off!!! HURMMMMMPPPPPHHHH! No wonder he did not make it to CANADA.

We had blue skies today and it was wonderful.

Latest report is that NORAD has requested an All Points Bulletin for Santa and the still unidentified object attached to Rudolf's antlers. All police units including Nelson, B.C. are on the look out. Santa has escaped!!! There will be joy and happiness on Christmas morn.

Okay, I am really weary tonight.

Baked a pumpkin pie with whipped cream topping, and creamy mac & cheese for the working police dinner tomorrow night.

Baked an apple pie, made cranberry sauce, made dressing, turkey is brining.

Weary, yes weary tonight.

Hoda, would I lead you astray? Not a chance. Bodies in trunks? Well, maybe I was thinking about young stud muffins in their swim trunks. Nah! I'm too old.
