JUDYE I put a few photos on my blog, with snow from earlier the season, and one bench on a hiking trail that I very much enjoy over the summer...The Bench is for DANAMO and LYNN who want summer to be here, the snow pictures are for you...

Hoda said...

DANAMO I am glad you took the picture of you and the flying labs...so happy to be on holidays. I continue to love looking at your NYC pictures...

Lori O. said...

HODA, I love BENCHES! That is such a pretty and unusual one. I collect pics of benches in pretty places for landscaping ideas. Some of them are just serenity pictures, like yours...gorgeous!

DanaMO, you know we can never get enough pics of you and the Flying Labs! Love your red fingernails!

JudyEddy said...

DanaMo said...

LOL! Lori, you caught the red nails? ☺

DanaMo said...

I had PBJ for dinner. Thinking steak would be good for tomorrow. Monte says pork is for a prosperous New Year. I still want steak!

DanaMo said...

BTW my glasses are red too. I'm a red kinda woman! ☺

I didn't get lost BUT I have felt lousy.
I had a hard time this afternoon warming
up my body! Put my wool socks on and
Jumped back into bed under all the covers. Then after a nap I asked hubby to make me some Noodle soup with crushed crackers in it. Sure hit the spot.. So now I think I will survive.
Don't know why and really don't care why but my leg pains have vanished -
forever I pray but I know they could come back. I know how strong your prayers can be....
I am putting my faith in the Lord..

Hoda said...

LORI, I am glad you like the bench. A very avid outdoorsman lost his life to an avalanche years ago and in his memory his friends made the bench in the photo. It is a beautiful spot...an hour and a half walk takes me up there and I can sit on the bench and dangle my feet down...I love the alpine flowers.

hedgie said...

Yahoo---checkbook balanced on first try!! Good on me!

Hoda, glad that you did not have to slippy-slide today.

DanaMo said...

Oh Jo I hate when I can't get warm. That's why I love summer so much. Glad that your hubby is taking care of you.

Lolly said...

In for the evening. We got the immediate front yard cleaned up, We rake and blow leaves to a large (12 x12) sheet of plastic and haul to the far back. Right now we do not have a burn ban. We filled that sheet 4 times and hauled it to the back. More tomorrow. Getting my excercise. Not too tired, so if we do it this way for a while, we should survive. lol

Hoda said...

JO so very good to see you on and I was wondering where you were...sorry for the chills and what a wonderful keeper of a husband you have too...Glad to see you on this afternoon/evening. Very good place to put your faith, I think you are the BEST and following your trust and faith in the LORD is the key...

Mema Jo said...

Tell Monte it's the Sauerkraut that is
good for a prosperous New Year.
With Pork or with Steak!

Lynn, it sounds like your body is handling the treatments well. Praying for you

GOOD ON YOU LYNN...balancing the cheque book on the first try...KUDOS GAL...Well done

Good Evening!

HODA – My upper back and neck pain is NOT due to any fall!! Just over doing it and maybe sleeping the wrong way on my neck. Know how that happens sometimes. For me, though, it always takes a LONG time to get rid of the tight muscles. I am okay with the stiffness, but when the pain shoots up my neck, I am not a happy camper!!

Lynn – How thoughtful of Sharon and Thelma to send the healing angel to you. I, too, love the Willow Tree collection. They are so simple, yet so elegant!! You deserve a showering of love and grace, dear one!

Sandi – Turkey Vultures! How neat!! Do keep us up to date on their activities. Any pictures for us to see? And what did you spend your Christmas money on?? Do tell……

WVDana – Don’t overdo it…… if you haven’t already. It is nice to get things done around the house, though, isn’t it?

Diann – You’re a hoot!! Living with males in the house!!! LOL I had five brothers growing up, so I never had females in the house. I am so glad the “male” I live with now is easy going and likes to do for me!!

Jo – Glad you are feeling better, but sorry you felt so lousy and chilled this afternoon. Praise God that your thighs are no longer causing you so much pain. That sounded awful!

Lori – How was that nap?? Glad to see you back.

Time for dinner and something for this pain again. Getting those sharp pains again. Ugh!! Hot shower after dinner will definitely help!

Logging in on PC to put a couple of pics on my Lair.

DanaMo said...

Geez...I don't even bother balancing my check book. I just check the balance online everyday!

DanaMo said...

Will be looking for your pics Lynn.

Hoda said...

LORI, how then do you reconcile what you spent with the bank statement? I like to keep my receipts and then check them out...I have heard of stories with the bank making wrong deposits and wrong withdrawals from peoples' accounts. I have not had this experience yet doing it monthly gives me a sense of control.

Hoda said...

I follow LYNN's blog, I wonder if it will inform me of the new posts by LYNN...if not I will go in and check them out myself...

hedgie said...

Pics are up on my blog.

hedgie said...

Hoda, the bench and location are wonderful.....but I hope you don't make that long hike alone!

hedgie said...

Jo, sorry you have the punies today....do you think you picked up a bug? VERY glad that the leg pain is gone! Take it easy, gal!

wvgal_dana said...

Yes Mema Jo I too am glad your leg pain is gone. Although I am still keeping you in prayers (((hugs)))

THE RCMP Finally announced one fatality in the Pemberton Avalanche. A thirty year old Duncan MacKenzie...he was an experienced ski patrol on one of the biggest ski mountains in the area. He looked to be a wonderful healthy and strong young man...God rest his soul.
I shake my head because today others went out not heeding the warnings of how dangerous the conditions are...I do not understand this part...if the alarm is given they ought to stay back or ski somewhere else...

hedgie said...

I know I shouldn't have looked, but.....the "thing" in the nest is either a cat or a colabear, per OC poster. ROFLMBO! Anyone know exactly what a colabear is?

hedgie said...

What a shame, Hoda. Sounds like a good Scottish lad.

Lynne2 said...

HOLY MOSES!!!!!!!! Look at all of the posts!

Lolly said...

Well, Holey Moses...if it isn't Lynne!!!!! Howdy, Lynne!

Sandi said...

Evening all,
Wanda, thanks for the friend request on FB. How is Karla today?
Sharon & Thelma, How thoughtful of you to send a Willow Woods figurine to Lynn! I got one of the angels, Angel of Learning, from a student some years ago and it's on my fireplace mantel but I had no idea that they're made of wood!
Lynn, happy to hear that you are feeling hungry, not nauseous and that your dreams were better last night. Interesting info. about eagles getting lead toxicity from fish or animals that have been contaminated by lead. I don't imagine that there are many hunters or fishermen who think/care about that.
Jo, sounds like noodle soup with crackers was a magic elixer for you!! Hope you stay pain free!
DanaWV, I've never heard of anything that will take the discoloration off of a linoleum floor from rubber backed rugs - sorry.
DMo, do you start back to school on Mon or Tues?
Lori, what's with you and turkey vultures?
My shopping trip was only marginally successful. When you're a 6 foot tall woman, finding clothes that fit isn't fun. It wasn't fun when I was shopping for a husband either and so many of the available men were shorter than me! =)
Pizza for dinner (no cooking again) and then watching "Water for Elephants." If anyone is looking for a great book, it's one of my favorites! Hoping the movie is as good!

Hoda said...

I read it WANDA and agree with you it is a very good book.

LYNN this is for you because you recognized Duncan MacKenzies Scottish Heritage. Some good photos of him and the area where he worked. Duncan MacKenzie God rest his soul and bless his family...I can hardly imagine what they must be feeling.

stronghunter said...

Why was I looking for Hunter? He had gone to play with Anthony, but he and Anthony were nowhere to be seen, so I went to Cameron's house and rang the doorbell, but no one answered.

After several phone calls, I found that he was at Cameron's. Don't know why no one heard me ringing the doorbell and knocking.

DanaMo said...

OMGosh laughing my butt off too! A colabear? What the?

Sandi-we go back Monday. How about you? Adam (goes to the Catholic HS) goes back Tuesday. I can't complain though, I have had 2 full weeks off!

Lynne2 said...

Sandi, I LOVED Water for Elephants!

Lynn, read back a little, glady your tummy is better...WOO HOO!

Not happy about Linda's neck pain though.

Lynne2 said...

Shirley, I would have peed my pants when no one answered...GEEEEESH.

Ah, I see Lori and Vultures mentioned...will have to keep reading back.

Lynne2 said...

People, this is the very last Friday I will ever be a "Forty Something". UGH!!!!!!

Lolly said...

Lolly said...

That is a great way to put it, Hoda. I was just thinking I just have a couple years left in my
60's and she is complaining about 50.?????

Lynne2 said...

I'm not complaining....I am amazed that I have almost completed 50 years....where has the time gone!

Lolly said...

Hoda, we are supposed to get into the 70's tomorrow. However, the temps start to drop Sunday and down into the 20's Monday. Not going to stay there and no rain! More and more water restrictions are being put in place. groan....

Hoda said...

LOLLY you just keep on being as active as you are and enjoying your JUBBY and Grandkids and your Children and life can not get any better...but then again you Carpe Diem, as they say. You cease the moment every moment and you make your life with such awesome energy...both you and JACK you ROCK!!!

Hoda said...

stronghunter said...

So far, Hunter hasn't played with the basketball goal. He spends a lot of time with the video games unless I call him away from them, which I have been doing at times.

I might need to go out and shoot a few baskets myself. I think Hunter will be interested when other kids come around and want to play. Basketball hasn't been his favorite sport, but I think that can be changed.

hedgie said...

Thanks, Hoda, for the article.

Lynne, how's tricks? Have YOU ever heard of a colabear??

Hoda, sure hope your weather doesn't get too serious. Love how you, too, SEIZE life!!! Teasing you!!!

hedgie said...

Lolly, bet that cheeseburger hit the spot!

Hoda said...

I like this article from The Globe and MailKindergarten in Retirement Home Proves To Be A Hit With Young And Old

Lolly said...

Basketball is Joseph's favorite sport. He plays soccer too and he wants to play baseball this spring. He is not allowed to play football until he is in 7th grade. He is our athlete!

Hoda said...

The article is for the teachers amongst us and those who are grandparents and do so much for their Grand kids...I respect and admire those posts on the blog a lot, where the Grandparents are being with the Grand kids...AWESOME

hedgie said...

Wow, Shirley....bet you were getting frantic! Scary!
LOL---if you go shoot some hoops, I bet he'll be right there telling you how!!!

hedgie said...

Why the heck is the text on my pics all messed up when it all looked fine in preview AND published on the PC???? ARGH! Stooooopid blogger cop.

JudyEddy said...

LOL I googled Colabear and that it is a coke cola bear that is the only thing that is on google oh I didn't look at the crazy verzion of it that is so funny I don't go there I don't go in to lunny wards lol That wasn't nice was it

JudyEddy said...

Lolly your weather sounds like ours for next week also They are calling it a Artic cold front

stronghunter said...

Hunter did not have a good experience with basketball. I took him to a basketball camp one summer, but it just did not work well.

The coach had his high school team working with the kids. I think Hunter was upset by some things they said. Then he was on a team that did not practice at all and did not win games.

He really likes baseball.

JudyEddy said...

HODA so sorry for the rain and the cold it will turn to ice being its that cold please take care if you go out tomorrow

JudyEddy said...

Shirley do you have a tripod Please set it up and we can watch a video of you beating him playing ball

Lolly said...

Hoda, thanks for the article. That is very interesting. Would be fantastic, especially for reading.

JudyEddy said...

As long as he like the game winning doesn't matter its the fun that is important

Hoda said...

LYNN you are so good for my character!!! Do not ever cease with your Seizing the moment to point out the intricacies of the English spelling... I stop for a moment and say what is she saying now and then I get it...JUDIE does the same thing. I hope LOLLY understood what I was trying to say...LOL THANKS LYNN

Lolly said...

Joey is Joseph's coach right now. The assistant is actually the coach and Joey in name only. She played in college and is really good. However, she has seizures and can not drive, so Joey picks her up. They are friends and so it is working out quite well. Her son, Joe, and Joseph are good friends and play well together. We will start going to games soon.

Lynne2 said...

Does anyone know if this is true...that when you dream, even if the people in the dream are not anyone you know, that they are people you have seen at one time in your life? That you don't make up random people in your dreams?

Lynne2 said...

and, can anyone explain why sometimes in dreams a person looks nothing like the person they are?

hedgie said...

I have no idea, Lynne.....interesting question and supposition.

Lolly said...

LOL Hoda, I had to go back and read it. I just read right through, understood what you were saying, and completely missed the error. No big deal!

stronghunter said...

Hunter's baseball coach works really well with him. His son is a good friend of Hunter's. That helps.

hedgie said...

Lolly, basketball or baseball? Neat that they have a gal coach!

Lolly said...

Now Lynne, you are getting too deep with dream questions! I have never noticed that about dreams. duh!!!!

Lolly said...

Basketball now, Lynn. Baseball will be in the spirng.

Lynne2 said...

I'm curious to know if that is true. And I think it's very weird when, say, I am having a conversation with, for instance, my friend Barb, but yet it looks nothing like her. This DOES happen to you guys sometimes, doesn't it? Or will Judie come on here thinking I am a latent ax murderer.....LOL!

Lolly said...

They had to make a special appeal to the board that runs the youth games. They could only do it if they had both their sons on the same team. They are both great players.

Lolly said...

roflmbo....undoubtably a latent axe murderer!!!!!☺

Linda said...

Wanted to come back and visit for a while, but the neck is way worse tonight. Found the Flexeril, which I hate to take, but can 't hardly stand this pain either. I am sure I will be OUT before too long so I will say my good nights now.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening. Prayers for all.....

Night xoxo

Lynne2 said...

Feel better Linda!

Lolly said...

Linda, get ice on it!! Is this stress related? You have had more than your share of stress!! (((Hugs)))

Hoda said...

LOLLY The article about the kindergarten in seniors home, saqys the inspiration is from a model that comes from OKLAHOMA. Often TEXAS and OKLAHOMA do not give themselves credit for such avant guard thinking...Good on them.

Lynne2 said...

Oh, I got the BEST gift from a client today....a fellow STEELERS fan client! It's a Camo scrub top with a Steelers logo patch on the pocket!!! SO COOL! And very funny too in that I was just thinking today that I wished I had a Camo scrub top....now I have the best!

Lolly said...

You need a Cowboy one, too!

Lolly said...

I am already hearing fireworks. That really scares me! All we need is a grass fire.

Hoda said...

LYNNE any of the dream work shops that I have taken say to not interpret the dreams literally. The persons in the dream are an aspect of our selves that we are working with and exploring. Dreams are NOT predicitive. People can look different and yet we think they are a certain person and what ever adjective we assign to them it is an adjective we are assigning ourselves as we explore the issue in our own life and it is something on our mind...so there is room for growth in dreams because of that...My own critical aspect always comes to me with dreams from my mother and my sisters...my fearful self comes to me with dreams from my mother...so I explore the fear or the criticism instead of thinking it is about them I say it is about me....I have taken years of exploring dreams, since 1996 actually...NEVER PREDICITVE and ONLY TOOLS to look at our own selves and the questions we are facing in our lives...I do not know if this helps. It is only my experience and workshopps that I have taken.

Hoda said...

Curry lentil soup was plenty...I think I will skip the vegetable stir fry and take to chees and fruit and a cup of tea...BBL

Lynne2 said...

Yes Lolly, I could really throw the AX into the works with a COWBOY scrub top too!!! The DRs joke with the clients about how they wouldn't have hired me had they known I was a Steeler fan! And I am not allowed to bring my Terrible Towel or wear any Steeler stuff....LOL! BUT....I AM allowed if it's from a client! So, on Monday, I'll be dressed to KILL!

Lynne2 said...

Hoda, that is incredibly interesting....and makes sense! I would love to study dreams!

grannyblt said...

Ummm curry lentil soup sounds good to me right now. I had left over spaghetti.

There were several things I was going to say when I tried to post a while ago but they have left my mind completely...another case of CRS

Lynne2 said...

Hi Lynne1!!

Hoda said...

HI Grannyblt/LYNNE 1. Don't worry when it comes back to you let us know...more interesting thigns present themselves when I forget...I am glad that when it is time to balance my cheque book I keep such a file systme and I do not forget because I keep all receipts...this is where it matters for me not to forget...If you were here I could offer you some Curry Lentil soup too...ENJOY your supper.

We rank 21st in the happiest countries in the world...according to the radio...this is the middle of the pack...so sad...we are turning into a consumer and worried society according to them...the happiest people in the world live in FIJI!!! This is part on our Six O'clock National news broadcast on CBC.

grannyblt said...

I don't worry about dreams too much--actually I don't dream much anymore--that I remember anyway. I had dreams with a recurrent theme for years that always interested me as to the meaning. Nothing bad or scary at all.Haven't had one of those in quite a while--maybe the underlying situation was resolved. ??

Lolly said...

Sounds like a road trip to FIJI to me!!!! Well, we might have to row a wee bit too!

Lolly said...

Lynne, what are you doing this weekend? You and Steve going to manage to get out and enjoy nature a bit?

grannyblt said...

Hoda, I remembered that when reading back the posts there was an alarm clock discussion. That jogged my memory to unset the clock radio that my newish cat set. He walked on the top where the controls are. I've gotten awake to the blaring radio for two mornings.
Hope to see the eagles tomorrow.

Lynne2 said...

Several times, at age 6ish, shortly after my sister was born, I had a recurring dream. I was in my grandma's bedroom with a witch in a light blue shirt and black skirt and hat. I could see everyone downstairs looking at my sister laying on the sofa. LOL!!! I'm pretty sure the witch represented my mother who had nerve enough to bring the screaming nasty creature into my life without asking if I wanted it!!

Lynne2 said...

OMG that's so funny Lynne1!!!! I hope you don't have a Brother Cat in the making!!

Speaking of Brother....I foolishly left a new, wrapped block of suet on the kitchen counter last night. He got it, of course. Luckily it wasn't to his liking as very little was missing, but it was on the floor, completely unwrapped! Even luckier that I got downstairs and found it before the dogs did!

grannyblt said...

Does anyone go out on New Year's Eve anymore.

hedgie said...

Deep dream stuff, gals!!! Hoda, you are so enlightening! And enlightened!

Lynne1---glad you were reminded to UNSET that clock. Silly cat!

Linda, the flexeril will knock you out, won't it? Always gave me a terrible sleep hangover.....sure hope it eases your pain.

Hoda said...

I am glad you remembered LYNNE 1...The radio early in the morning would be a rude awakening...

Two more avalanches happened this time in Golden, British Columbia. No fatalities, just an injury again skiers. They recovered the body of the Pemberton Skier...

I pray that God's LIGHT guides all those who think they can go out to the back country in these conditions...God Help Us All.

Lynne2 said...

Lynne1, HELL NO!!!! Actually, we'll be heading to friend Dave and Wendy's house in the afternoon for a prime rib early dinner and visit, and we'll be home long before midnight.

Lynne2 said...

Lolly, it's going to be in the upper 50s on Sunday and we will probably pick a place to go and do some nature watching....just not sure where yet. Conowingo is on the short list, though, for EAGLES!!!

Lolly said...

Jack wanted to invite friends for a Trivial Pursuit party, but I declined. I wanted to get outside rather that get ready for company. We are going to have a great dinner, a bottle of wine, and a pleasant evening just the two of us. Like tonight!☺

Lynne2 said...

well, I need to get to DREAMland soon....

Good night and prayers for all!

Lolly said...

That would be great, Lynne! Eagles to watch!! More fun!

hedgie said...

Lynne1---I haven't been "out" for NYE since my kids were born!!

Lolly said...

And, I am going to pick up my book and read for a while. BBL

Hoda said...

LOLLY May I suggest a road trip with a DRAGON BOAT in toe? This way the paddling could be a group of us and we would all have a lot of fun going to FIJI...

hedgie said...

Just had Liesl out for the night....and instead of being sleepy her ON switch got flipped....she is running in circles through the house!!! Little rip!!

hedgie said...

Hoda, Hoda, Hoda!!! Think we would lose that dragon boat if we tried to toe it!!!!

grannyblt said...

Many years ago we had the company holiday party on New Years. That turned into a neighborhood gathering that faded out when we all decided we were too sleepy to stay awake that late in polite company. I will probably be sawing logs by midnight.

hedgie said...

Okay....time to settle her down with a lap snuggle. BBL.

grannyblt said...

It is time for me to saw logs tonight. Hope to catch the early morning nest visit.

Hoda said...

If you are still around:
James and I went bowling Thursday!
We "shared" an 8-pound pike bowling ball, the only one that suited us both...
We also had the gutter guards up....
thought of you often...
and remembered to let laners on each side of us, complete their "rolls" before we did ours.
Can't say our scores were anything to write home about, but we each had a couple of strikes and spares

magpie said...

that would be PINK bowling ball, not PIKE

Off to bed in a minute but wanted to catch up with the blog so i don't have 100 posts to read in the AM!! "Water for Elephants" was very good but the book was way better!
DMo, I don't go back to school til Tuesday - yay!!
Lolly, thanks for the friend request on FB!
Lynne2, I have to really watch Bandit if I have suet in the pantry!!
Linda, so sorry to hear about your neck pain. Hope you can find the right thing to give you some relief - maybe noodle soup with crackers?? It works for Jo!
Lynn, A colabear is a bear that likes to drink Coke and I would guess that an eagle would have no trouble at all carrying a cola drinking bear up into it's nest!!
OK, goodnight all! Pleasant dreams!

MY TURN...Although Karla and Jayden wasn't at GG's for Family Friday, Denise & Brandon were and we did have a fun evening. Denise colored GG's hair and I did her eyebrows. She was a hoot while she was being beautified. She said she wasn't hungry and wished that the doctor would give her something for her appetite. She does take prednisone for her appetite and most of the time, she eats well. before the evening was over, she had eaten BBQ Ribs, Mac & Cheese, 2 pieces of garlic bread and a big spoonful of coleslaw!

I love you guys! I get to reading all the posts in the morning and it's like I never missed a thing. It's like reading a great book! But, dang, I didn't take notes. I'll have to start doing that again.

Jo, so sorry you were feeling yucky yesterday. I hope today is much, much better.

You, too, Linda! Flexeril is good stuff when you need it. Stay in front of the pain! :)

Lynne2, I think LYNN mentioned my Black Vultures to Sandi since she had so many (Turkey) vultures near her yesterday, she told her to look back at my blog to see the baby vulture pics. Oh, I think turning 50 was much easier than turning 40! We had a cookout for my birthday in May and didn't mention any numbers! It was great.

Good morning. Waiting for the coffee to brew. I guess Monte for got to put it on auto last night.

Annemarie slept at a friends so Java slept with us, right at my head, on my pillow!!

Lori O. said...

DanoMo, how would one MISS those red fingernails! LOL! I didn't seate that the glasses were red, though I did notice them. They look cute on you. Guess you wear contacts.

HODA, extremely intersting stuff on dreams. I've had some frightening repeat dreams. Once I had a dream about a guy I was dating and it was so horrible and scary that I never saw him again, but don't doubt for a second that the dream was a warning. Heebeejeebies!

DanaMo said...

Oh Lori I don't know...I didn't think twice about 40 but now that I'm pushing 50 I'm not so comfortable with it!

Lori O. said...

Hi DanaMo! I've had many cats that like to sleep on my head because it's so warm! But, Java is a bit larger than they ever were. :)

Lori O. said...

Fresh coffee sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll make the big pot so everyone can have some, and put the tea kettle on for KAY!

Lori O. said...

Caribou Coffee is made, and there's hot water on the way for the tea assortment.

Speaking virtually here, HODA I loved your idea of a Dragon Boat Paddling Party on your lake for New Years Eve - guess that's tonight.
What can I bring? That's always fun because I can't cook and can bring anything I wish to these parties!!! I hope Lolly brings her cheesecake pie! Is that the one that spilled?

DanaMo said...

Hey Lori-Yes, I wear contacts. Although as I have aged, by contacts have gotten so strong that they take away my reading vision so once I'm home for good and I'm enjoying a book I switch out so I can read and watch TV. My close up vision without correction is perfect.
Javalin is quite large to be sleeping on one's pillow. I'm not sure how she got started on that!I was surprised she slept there all night.
Hoda Love the moose picture over on facebook. I wouldn't mind being kissed by a moose! ☺

Lori O. said...

JUDYE, loved your wood stork videos! I didn't realize they have vulture like heads!

DanaMo said...

I'm going to go sit on the couch with my coffee and book until we have some light on the nest.

Lori O. said...

I think today is the day I clean off my projects table that I've been using for wrapping...and you know how I love to wrap so there's a lot of ribbon on it.

When the guy came to give an estimate on waterproofing the basement the other day, he called what I call my Christmas room the Ribbon Room. Thought it was a good name since there's more ribbon in there than anything.

DanaMo said...

Well...I just decided that the tree is coming down today, which means...now. LOL! I'll be back.

Kay said...

Good Morning gLORI and DanaMoe aka lady in red !

LORI, I'm a coffee drinker---it's LYNN, HODA, SANDI...who are tea drinkers. Late in the morning I switch to decaf iced tea no matter what the season. Only drink hot tea if I have a cold---last cuppa tea was about Jan. of this year !

Dreams I rarely have anymore--just don't go into the deep sleep dream phase much now. I've had periods with repeat dreams, others with scary dreams. Had one about an affair with Harrison Ford about 20 years ago. So steamy I blush to think of it even now !!!!☺ He is not a favorite of mine and I have no idea where that came from !

Lori O. said...

The tree is always the very last thing to come down at my house. I just love it with all the lights that it's hard to put it away every year. I'll give it another two week, but probably take down the other stuff this weekend.

Lori O. said...

I have a feeling, Kay, that the Harrison Ford info will come in very handy on this blog someday! LOL!

Kay said...

De-decorating will take me about 15 minutes sometime next week. No tree. I've decided to leave my evergreen and pine cone wreath on the door year round, since it is in an indoor foyer. I'm going to change the ribbon every now and then and attach seasonal decorations. Why have I never thought of this before ?

Sandi said...

Morning Lori, DMo, and Kay!

Kay said...

Oh, no LORI, suffice it to say, Calista is one lucky gal. Ford knows his stuff !!

Kay said...

Hello, SANDI ! Hope all is well and swell at your house this morning ! It's good to hear Bella is getting better with every passing day !

Kay said...

Had a grand time with grandson, Seth last night. The video we watched was Young@Heart---a documentary about a senior citizen choral group. If you haven't seen it, please do. Priceless !

Lori O. said...

My neighbor does the season wreaths on our mailboxes. Great idea, Kay. If it works for you, that's all that matters.

Good morning, Sandi! Didn't know you were 6' tall until I saw your post. How do you find pants long enough? I ask because Kate is tall and all pants seem to be too short unless they are altered.

Lori O. said...

Kay, you had the dream, but I would imagine that about Harrison Ford. His characters all have that sense of adventure!

DanaMo said...

Tree is down and boxed up!

Kay said...

I missed your comment about height, SANDI. My sis was 6 feet tall, My granddaughter, Dana, is 6' and the other, Lauren, is 5'11". I was once 5'10", but have shrunk a bit with old age. I love TALL !

Lori O. said...

Guess I'm the shorty - DanaMo, too. I was 5'3" at last check. How tall are you, DanaMo? We know JudyE is tall, too.

Kay said...

Wow, Dana ! Does your tree just fold up, decorations and all ?

DanaMo said...

I don't think anyone here will complain. Except I will throw everything out in the garage which drives Monte nuts. But my Suburban doesn't fit in the garage and neither did my previous high top van so it is my dumping ground, his domain! LOL!

I can get mine down pretty fast too Kay. I have somethings here and there, but by days end it should all be away. I'll read a little and then do a little and go like that most of the day. I want to leave tomorrow free to just do more of being a couch potato, like haven't done enough of that!

Kay said...

LORI and DANAMO, that's not to say I don't love short people--especially when Randy Newman sings it. Just kidding ☺ ! It gives me great pleasure to assist shorties at the grossery store. LOL

DanaMo said...

According to the doctors, I am 4'11. Not sure how that happened because I always thought I was 5 feet 1/2 inch. Guess I am shrinking already!

AN ATTEMPT!

Lori O. said...

HP attempt on the front left side!

Kay said...

That was a rather oafish HP attempt ! Shep has a lot of learnin' to do !

Sandi said...

BELLE DIDN'T SEEM TO PUSH HIM AWAY. WONDER WHY HE STOPPED?

Kay said...

Hi and bye, MARGY ! HAGD !

Kay said...

He just seemed off balance and couldn't right himself.

DanaMo said...

COLOR

DanaMo said...

They really are beautiful I love just looking at them!

Sandi said...

Morning Margy! Kay, I hate tall when it comes to clothes. Lori, finding pants with long enough inseams and sweaters with long enough sleeves is a nightmare! And the retail business discriminates unfairly against talls. Think about it. Every dept. store has a petite dept. so you can be 5' tall and buy clothes made to fit you. If you weigh 200 lbs, there are entire stores with clothes to fit you, plus every dept. store has a women's dept. But there are NO stores dedicated to tall women and dept. stores rarely even have a rack of tall clothes. Tall women are relegated to buying online without getting to see or try on things first. It's one of my major pet peeves in life - I'll get off my soap box now and get back to talking about eagles! =)

Sandi said...

DMo, I agree, they are addictive to watch! I couldn't stop watching the 3 vultures outside my window yesterday. Just their size and their wingspan when they fly - beautiful!

Sandi said...

POOF SHEP

Sandi said...

HE"S BACK

DanaMo said...

Yeah...there may be petite departments, but the clothes all look like they are for 90 year old women. I hate being short. Plus all my extra middle would spread out a bit if I had a few extra inches!

DanaMo said...

SHEPS DOT LOOKS MORE PRONOUNCED THESE DAYS. I FOR ONE AM GLAD IT HELPS TO BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE HIM

Sandi said...

DMo, now there's an advantage to being tall. If I gain 5 lbs. at Christmas time, no one notices. People tend to think I'm about a size 6 b/c I'm thin. I'm a size 10 but when you spread the weight out over a long frame ...

Sandi said...

SHEP SEEMS TO BE WATCHING SOMETHING AGAIN - BELLE?

DanaMo said...

Yes, if I gain 5 lbs. it's immediately noticeable.

Sandi said...

One of my regular tennis partners is 4'11". We make quite a team!

Sandi said...

BACK TO 2!

DanaMo said...

BACK AGAIN. LOTS OF BACK AND FORTH TODAY. HUM..SHEP WON THE BIG STICK.
