A friend of mine's daughter and family were transferred to Alaska recently and her 3 year old daughter found a bald eagle feather!! They are everywhere up there. I would just die to live where I could just watch eagles all the time. Needless to say, I wouldn't get anything else done for sure!!

DANAMO, Maybe it is me who tells the clock wrong...I think noon is at the top of the nest...unless most people think noon is not the sphere of the nest but rather the top of the picture frame...which is it? I have long wondered over that!!!

Denise caught a picture of the eagle calling, but it was so big it wouldn't fit within the alloted space on the blog, so I had to downsize it. She said the call was beautiful:)

LYNN, I spoke with an insurance person, yesterday and she said that the fact that they send frozen dinners is NOT listed in the booklet, it's just something they do. Not guaranteed.
She also is trying to get me to change to Colonial Penn, don't know why, because she also sells HUMANA. Other than, she thinks it is a bit better. After a $140 co-pay, for hospitalization, I would pay nothing. Sounds good to me!

My stepdaughter "Kurtz" (real first name Jane..) who is James's Mom, and her father
( my former husband...) will be making their Birthday/Christmas visit, arriving from Florida...sometime Thursday....leaving sometime Monday or Tuesday...
I'm trying to make the place ready for that, and James's Birthday Party which will be HERE, (family only...small apartment) which is December 17
(his 12th)
and also Christmas...PLUS having to work Wed-Thur-and Friday...
so things are going to be right busy at Magpie's Roost for the next week or so
I'll try to keep up with Blog Happenins' as well as I can....
Will I get Christmas cards out ???

Have not heard anything about Colonial Penn having a Medicare plan.....did you see it listed in the Medicare book? There is only a handful of Medicare Advantage plans in WV---and they are county specific.

Forgot also to tell you that the PO clerk couldn't offer any rememdies about the returned for postage envelope---but did admit that it was obvious a stamp HAD been on it. I told her--in jest, of ocurse--that if MD police came to arrest me for a late ticket payment, I was sending them to the PO!!!!!
I did find out that the ticket is putting 5 points on my license! ARGH!!!! Will REALLY have to be careful now!

Hello Eagle Buds! Windy & cold here even tho thermom says 44°.
Have some snoozing Tundra Swans out there, about 15. They didn't call when the came in, so you can only tell that they are larger white blobs than seagulls! No eagles at Park nest this AM. I sure hope they return.
Forgot to thank my dear Early Birds for reporting on the Belle n' Shep visit this morning. I was with you in spirit---sure, I was, zzzzzz....
Just call me MARGY today. Also forgot to tell you I will be seeing an orthopedist Thursday the 22nd @3pm. Will be taking x-rays with and hope there is no delay in getting an injection. That would make for a happier holiday !

Jo, good report for you, too, yesterday. Now we're on a roll!
I have a "praise report" from yesterday, too! We have been trying to find a baby gate with a walk-through in it, for the last year. Didn't want to spend well over $100 for one in the dog catalogs. Have been using a large box to block Emma from the kitchen for the longest time! Looks really bad, and it's hard to step over. She has recently learned to jump over it, too! BIG problem!
Yeterday I got on the phone and called all the Walmarts in our area to see whether they had a gate I had seen a few weeks ago. Didn't have the money in the budget to buy it that week. Nobody seemed to have one! Yesterday, I found out that one store had only one gate, and talked them into holding it for me until I could drive over there. When I got to the store, nobody was in the infants department. Went up front to the customer service area, and a guy there went back to the department with me. We found the one gate (Evenflo "Easy Walk-Thru" gate, reg. price: $39.00), and he carried it to the checkout for me. Imagine my surprise when the scanned price on it was $9.00!!! They are apparently blowing them out on sale. The person from the infants dept. confirmed the price!
I say it's a miracle!!! Thank you, GOD!!!
Well, I'm in the same boat as Margy--hafta "shovel the house," as someone here so aptly put it! Will be kind of scarce today, too.
Still praying nonstop for everyone, and every creature. Many thanks to the nest visit reporters--really appreciate your fine efforts!
