This has been a sorry week. The insurance company FINALLY contacted me about my claim on Thursday! They've apologized 10x since then, but it's just that much longer for the car...the shop says they're putting it on rush - they feel bad, too.
Dad is doing great with all his antibiotics. He's not real peppy yet, but feels a ton better.
Jo, guess since we live in the same general area, I always relate to your comments about the leaves. They've gone past the pretty stage straight to PIA! Sorry.
LORI what are you driving now. I am glad your DAD is feeling better. In a couple of weeks you will be home for Thanksgiving and I bet yoiu he feels a lot better by then.
Howdy y'all! Home from the soccer game. Now the basketball season starts. Least we get to move indoors. It was windy and chilly this morning.
Not going to Dallas today but going tomorrow late afternoon. Michael had suggested Sat or Sun. Ashley was going to Las Vegas, taking her mother to see Rod Stewart. This morning Michael and Zach decided to fly to San Antonio today, go to a resort that has a little water park, and fly home tomorrow. (He has lots of free milage with Southwest.) However, the resort is not free! that was my thought. lol
Now waiting to the TCU game to start. Go Frogs! Going to be a tough game. Better say Go Frogs again! lol
Nitwit next door has hung a carcass hanger maybe 8 ft. beyond my fence.....I can see the pulley and the crossbar.....sure hope I won't be seeing deer legs......GRRRRR.
Oh, I hope you do not have to see that sight either, Lynn.
Yeah, Michael can afford it. We just laugh at their Jet set life that they live. It is really hard with one family with much and the other watching their pennies.
Amen Lolly - I have 5 children but there is still some richer then others and some poorer then the rest. Variety!!! I just need to win the lotto and even things out a bit! :)
Posted this on FB but had to share here too. I wish I could describe the look on Andrew's face just now when he brought the groceries in and saw almond paste and raspberry preserves. That may not mean much to most of you, but to Andrew that means mom is planning on making his favorite Italian cookies! It was priceless!
Wish I could go to 5:00 Mass Jo but I have to lector in the morning. I am subbing for someone and now wish that I hadn't, oh well, it's where God needs me to be tomorrow!
Any cookies/cakes with almond are my favorite, DanaMo - Yummy! Lucky Aric.
I need to apologize to all of you for all my whining this week about my disappearing posts. It really has upset me more than anything - feel like I'm disconnected from the eagle family. Anyway, I am sorry for complaining so much.
Sharon suggested I put my posts in tags like bold or italics, so I'm trying that now. Thanks again, Sharon.
You are allowed to whine Lori. We all need to whine sometimes especially when we are frustrated. How do you do the italics? You guys know so many neat little tricks that I do not know. Do you think it's about time for a visit? Just pulled up the nest to take a look. Looks like the nestorations are looking good. The nest looks neater and more organized than it did at the end of the summer.
Andrew was kind of funny the other morning. I was crying he was laughing but it's those times that I get little bits of info. He has just never been one to verbally express himself!
DanaMo, the nest does look tidier...don't know if it's the light, or it just is!
Got tons done outside today...cleared 4 flower beds, blew/raked/bagged leaves, got all the cushions cleaned off and in the shed. Still more to do, but got a lot done today!
Gonna grab a shower and head to the fabric store and Ajays....didn't get enough fabric for the chairs. Guess I outta call her...
Thank You, Steve!!!We were getting bogged down! Have a great weekend!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUZAN!!!! 29 FOREVER!!
I have gone thru some snail mail catalogs----yuck. Gotta couple places to order from online, but I'm tired of doing that!Went outside and watered flower pots that are still blooming. Daughter just emailed this AM that she's back from week in Haiti~~was going to pick up cat & mail!
See that PA State lost the FB game. Terrible that a few rotten apples can tarnish a whole school & terrible crime & no one seemed to do anything about it. MD gets to try and play Notre Dame here at 7:30 PM at Redskin's Fed Ex field. Maybe I will hear the hollering! Looly, Go Frogs!! ☺
Jo, Myrtle is long gone (as in hibernated!)---they must dig deep before frost! Sure hoping that she does reappear come spring! Her visits were much fewer this year. :(
Loretta, bet your Christmas shopping list is longer this year than it's ever been. Hope you find everything you want for the kids. I know they will be SO appreciative.
All I have left to do is to wipe down the kitchen appliances and make a list of important phone #'s for the kids just in case......insurance, benefits, etc.! Whew! MAYBE if the weather is good tomorrow, I can try to do the outside of the sunroom windows....that would settle my mind a lot.
Lynn, maybe I mentioned before, but neighbor behind us usually ends up hanging a deer head from a tree in their backyard. I won't sit on back deck when that happens. A whole body would make me want to get a machete & cut the rope!!!
I had a very good yoga practice. It is cold outside and the temperatures seem to be dropping yet it is still raining in my part of town...The mountains are mostly shut in and there are many local farmers trying to sell the last of their fruit and thier hazelnuts. It is Christmas Craft season already in town so there is lots to do and there was lots of activity when I was out...too wet to walk in the park, so I will prepare a soup instead.
three-planet night now a one - planet night managed to see Venus and Mercury, low in the SouthWest, and they have already set, but Jupiter is mighty and bright in the East
Mars comes out overnight...and Saturn, just before Sunrise, still hard to see it yet ! But that makes it a 5-planet month, also, December will be the same ☺
Lori you talk of whining... you might or might not remember I had a long stretch when I could not get the NCTC live feed going..that was two years ago I whined a good bit then Then there was the time I lost sound.... and then there was the time....
Evening all! Been lurking a bit while cleaning and watching some Hallmark movies.
LORI LORI LORI.....now you KNOW you are welcome to WHINE here anytime! We all have our ups and downs and this is such a wonderful CORNUCOPIA of people to lend and ear and prayers and support!!!
MARGY at 7:00 AM I had a two and a half hour sleep. It was deep and sound. I felt refreshed when I woke up and had a good dark cup of tea. Yoga was energising and I had considered having a cup of coffee but yoga did the trick....I hope to sleep soundly tonight for longer hours...I am deliberate with my energy and I am not on high performance mode....doing very little in terms of physical work and kept my focus when I drove and felt wonderful that when I walked the weather was cold...it woke me right up. Thanks for asking.
okay Hoda....I was watching during the mid-morning nest visit and saw you posting, and posting...and wondered about it then! I will check out your pictures shortly, and I read that some have helped you with your picture-posting now I remember I am supposed to be listening to Prairie Home Companion Yikes! I know Kay and Seth are listening....
Proud of me, Margy? I have done nothing today!!! LOL Rode one hour to Denton, sat at a soccer game, rode one hour home, and have now sat in my chair all afternoon!
I feel a nap coming on...Margarita taking effect! Gotta scrub a pan before I head for the sofa, tho' Good-sounding new movies on Lifetime and LMN tonight! Hope I can stay awake!!
I just talked to Normabyrd. I miss her. I told her when she was ready to get back on the blog to call me and we would get it set right up. I love her!!!
Lynn, she said she would definitely start a prayer for you and your surgery.
I told her about open house in April and that we really wanted to get there for that.
Doubtful we'll get to say that about Terps. In fact, I probably won't get to see them unless I go down in the cold dungeon! LOL Have afghans down there! Later~~~~
Sharon, glad you talked with Norma. Do you think she will make it back? It has been so long, but I do miss her! You do not adopt someone and then forget them!!!
Did you all know that when you all have frogs in your throats, the French have cats in theirs??? " J'ai un chat dans la gorge! is what they say instead of I have a frog in my throat! Somehow I just thought off it and decided to post it...
n Canada LYNN when the english want to be deragatory, put down of the French they call them frogs...The European French have the same complex. The French are also known as Pepsi, because they drink the largest amount of pepsi per ethnic group in the North American market...All this started with Lolly's Frogs and then my Fench Teacher mind kicked in with trivia that I used to share with students...
Hoda you have such a wealth of knowledge and references...we enjoy that!
Thank you Jo...do indeed feel His Hold ♥
Sharon, God Bless You for reaching out to NormaByrd...I know you do that at just the right time! I have some flamingos for an avatar that will come up in a few days or so....
Funny story...I got ready to take the dogs out for their afternoon field run and walkabout. It was of course quite chilly in here and I put on my heavy camo jacket. Got outside and it was WARMER than it was inside! Had to take it off!
Hmmmm. Hamburger wine. Can't figure on how you make something like that.
Glad Sharon talked to Norma...I wonder the same as Lynn on how she sounded. Hope she is doing well and sure do miss her!
For the last two nights I have realized that after I feed Annie she forgets that she has been fed and is in the kitchen asking to be fed. I have to pick her up and take her to her dish and she eats. Senile!!!!!!!!!!!
It was such a beautiful afternoon, too, Lolly! Love this weather the most! When we came back in I even opened a window for a little while to let some fresh air in. AND, I am still seeing Yellow Sulfur butterflies here, too!
Got a picture of the moon, not such a great one but it's on my FB.
It is very interesting here this fall. Strange happenings! Flowers and tree are blooming, thinking it is spring. Also, the trees are extremely late dropping their leaves. We have two oaks that have yellow leaves but the rest are still green. Weird! Gardening expert in our area was talking about it in his Saturday article in the paper.
Our autumn here has been strange too Lolly. Many of the leave were later in changing, but we didn't even have a killing frost prior to the snow we got in October which is very unusual for these parts. Some of the trees, like our big ash out in the dog field usually stay on for some time, but this year many came off very fast, even before other trees were fully changed. But, it has been quite an odd year weather wise! We have (sshhhhhh, don't want Daisy to hear) thunderstorms predicted for Tuesday!
And then after yesterday's wind, most leaves are gone now, although the dogwoods out front STILL have leaves, and the oaks which seem to hold on to theirs all winter.
Our red buds have lost most of their leaves. The pecan trees are loosing their leaves but the oaks have yet to looks theirs. They will though...eventually. Black Jack oaks hold their leaves all winter but we do not have any Black Jacks anymore. Since we have not had a freeze, I still have lots of flowers blooming.
We had terrific wind today and have rain predicted for early next week. However, not a drought ending rain. Keeping an eye out now on the weather in Pagosa Springs, CO. We head there Friday!
Margy, Liesl leaves toomorrow afternnon....shhhh!!!! Very few accoutrements togo. Just food, harness and leash, and sweater. Maxine has three dogs, and says there are way too many toys. Beds aplenty......and brave soul that she is, no playpen for bedtime or crate for when she's at work. THe dogs have free roam/access there....and she seems to believe that Liesl will learn from the others. I am scared to death that she (Liesl) will destroy something....even tho' she hasn't here, I keep stricter watch and control. I don't trust any pup under a year old to not mess, chew, or get into some kind of mischief!! Lord help us!!!
Temp has fallen to 46°....but house is still very comfortable. I let the fire go out this morning, and don't plan to rebuild. Want to clean out the stove Monday and lay a fire that will be ready to torch when we get home from the hospital if it has turned cold again by then.
Lynne, had to chuckle....temp rose SO fast this morning---I started out with a medium weight jacket and shed it very quickly!!!
Okay, Hoda.....who'd a thunk it??? Pepsi drinkers, huh???!!! So cats and Pepsi---these are basically insults?? HA!! I do not drink soda's but when I did, I always preferred Pepsi over Coke!
Lolly, bacon cheeseburgers are definitely one of my most favorite meals, too!!!
LYNN, have you laid in a good supply of your favorite ice cream ? You are going to need it when you get home next week ! Comfort food helps with the healing process ! ♥♥♥
MARGY, did you get in on some PHC tonight ? I was disappointed that Paula Poundstone's part was so small. Definitely like live shows better than compilations !
LOLLY, are your Horned Frogs, what we Arizonans called Horned Toads ? If so, Frogs does sound better than Toads ! Glad they won for you today !
DANAMO, loved the way you made Andrew's eyes light up when he saw ingredients for his favorite cookies ! You're a good Mom !
Hmmmm, LORETTA has afghans in her basement. An inquiry needed. Is she sheltering illegal aliens, running a puppy mill or stock piling throws ? Any one of the three could be warming depending on how they're used ! ☺
LYNN if you liked pepsi you must have french blood in you then ;^)Kiddin' !!!LOL It will be good when you come back from the hospital and tell us how LIESL made out at the trainers...I bet you she will be waiting anxiously to come home.
Yep, LOLLY, Wikipedia just confirmed for me, Horned Toads, Horny Toads, Horned Frogs--one and the same. Really lizards, but we call them toads or frogs. Wonder how TCU decided on the Frog for a mascot. Do you know ?
Loretta – Frightening situation in your nest area…. Too close … Glad you’re okay!
CarolAnne – Loved the poem dedicated to your Dad! Loved my Dad dearly too and miss him so very much…. Hope you are enjoying your weekend with family!:)
Margy – Darling picture of James! Hoping your weekend starts tomorrow….
Looks like everyone is getting the rest of their “fall chores” done because Ole Man Winter is just around the corner……… He’s in LM!!
Lori – You’ll never be disconnected from our eagle family. You’re a vital part and I am so sorry you’ve had such a problem with your google account and posts. You’re not whining – never have!! Love you, Lori ♥
Dana – My parents named all the boys in our family “B’s” except for me because my Dad wanted to name me Linda…. The boys are Bobby, Billy, Brian, Bradley & Brendon!!
Jo – Thanks for the beautiful comment about your fervent prayers….”so if you feel someone’s arms around you just relax and let Him take hold.” How inspirational!
Lolly – We have the same thing with Riley and his treats after he comes inside. Problem is…… I don’t know if it is Riley or Dennis!! LOL Or maybe it is Riley making Dennis question himself! Either way, he usually gets another treat.
LINDA, are you feeling better ? Your post seems to send out a "I'm feeling better" vibe. Sure hope so !
JO, I agree with LINDA, your fervent prayers comment IS beautiful and inspirational !
I'm going to bow out and will say fervent prayers for all on our list. Wishing you all restful sleep and a glorious Sunday. It should be exciting for we have the final vote coming up ! REM, we are about to turn a corner where you are concerned !
I have rested up from my day at church, cooking 12 turkeys and all the trimmings. We have cooked enough for 80 people and are hoping there will be enough left overs to serve them to Soup Kitchen guests on Tuesday. This has been a long, but productive day for me. When I wasn't needed in the kitchen, I worked in the Clothes Closet. 6 large garbage bags of shoes, purses, snd coats had been dropped off. Got everything on hangers, on shelves, on racks and on tables (folded shirts and undies). Feels really good to have that all done before the Soup Kitchen on Tuesday! Now, we have to go back to church early in the morning to bake the macaroni, beans, make mashed potatoes, etc.
I will say Good Night before I forget. Prayers for all being said and wish for a good night's rest for all of us♥
No Lynn, I didn't have a drink tonight... you got a lot done today, too.
Went to the fabric store, then stopped and picked up 2 steak sandwiches (made with real ribeye steaks) from the restaurant that John works at...Ajay and I had a good dinner before we tackled the chairs...got 4 out of 7 covered, they are looking really good! Have 3 more to do, then the plastic covers...then reattach to the chairs. We will get them done before Thanksgiving!
Busy week coming up, probably going to John's for Cohen's birthday dinner Monday night ( and do a couple of more chairs), then a meeting Tuesday night, then Cohen's party on Wednesday.
I am pooped...going to go snuggle under the covers, watch some TV and fall asleep!
KAY, not to worry about GG and her upset tummy. We (her doctor and I) believe that when she gets this way, it is the result of a Migraine. She has been having these spells for many years now...only lasts for one day. Hope to take her for a drive tomorrow to see what is left of the colorful trees and maybe an early dinner somewhere. Love your concern, dear lady♥
Kay, Carolyn will make grocery run for any special desires as needed!! I think I may finish off this carton of my fav I/C before Tues! (Turkey Hill Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup)
LOL---I prefer TOADS to frogs! I have been the happy owner of many toads....my first one from the time I was 12 until he passed when I was 20---his name was Freddie. Loved him like crazy. He had the most remarkable personality!
I am so excited about the vote tomorrow. It will be a busy day for me as I go to yoga in the monring and then do groceries and then go to help cook the African Dinner with the Grans to Grans and then have my dinner with the volunteers and then leave to attend the Judy Collins concert.I will see the list at night after the concert.
Thanks WANDA, I'm relieved to know GG is okay and now understand. She seems like a part of us all as we've come to love her through your posts, seeing her pictures with you kids, the grandkids and her adorable great grandson ! You are such a dear daughter ! Wow ! Your church kitchen must have smelled wonderful good today ! What a feast ! I'm in such awe of you and Gene for the way you give of yourself to others. God Bless You Both !
We started out to go to bingo, found there was no bingo at the usual place, so we went to another fire station where there were playing, but there were no parking spaces left, so we went bowling.
Then came home and watched the final Harry Potter movie on DVD.
Linda, glad that you at least can open up a bit wider----maybe that is the beginning of some real improvement! Hopefully once you can really chew, the pain will disappear!
Wanda, you are just TOO busy, girlfriend!! Hope your meal is a smashing success tomorrow. Get a good sleep.
Paula, I remember well when my Dad and my Grandma decided to be re-upholsterers!! It was a riot--but they made an excellent team and everything turned out beautifully, as I'm sure your and Ajay's efforts have to!! Sleep well!!
my gosh Hoda, you sure will be busy tomorrow! Hope the concert is really good.
I took a nice hot shower so I'm all toasty warm ready to get between the flannels! Geesh, I was putting lotion on my legs and I look like someone went at me with a stick...bruises everywhere! I seem to be much clumsier than I realize!
See you good folks in the AM! Good night an prayer for all!

Lynn, sorry to hear about cousin in law...such a shame...that people think suicide is the only answer.
Loretta, sorry to hear about the disturbance nearby. Hope the office is OK.
Just gorgeous out there! In for some lunch...
LOL DANAMO...
Hedgie, Lori said it was a last minute thing yesterday with Loo, and she wasn't dressed for the occasion.
Hi Grannie!
Seems to be a leaf raking/blowing/bagging kind of day!
Hello everyone!
I would love to jump on the tractor and mulch some leaves - be a LYNN - and get tons of chores done, but my wonderful neighbor is fixing a weld on the leaf bagger and putting on new blades. YEAH! Maybe tomorrow.
Good memory, Paula! Hope you don;t have too much work to do with the voting/poll. Your feffort is truly appreciated! Nick too!
Kate is in Texas for the night for her Aunt Max's 100th birthday which was Thursday. So, it's a quiet day here.
Paula, you know Feffort is much more effort than effort!
I knew you would explain that one, Lori! See any vultures today?
DanaMo - all your mobile updates on FB
were really enjoyable!

Oh, Loretta's story was posted om FB a little while ago:

Lori, sorry about your posts. That is so weird!
Wanda, wondering about GG?????
Lori, inexcusable for the insurance company to drop the ball like that. Who do you have??
Hope all delays are over and things will go quickly now.
All of my outdoor chores are finished...and had to touch up the "new" door frame, so good weather for that!
Very glad that I decided to double check the chimney clean-out....flue installer didn't clean it out! ARGH!! Maddening. So got that done.
Waiting for the anesthesia phone interview at 3:15, then heading upstairs to change bed and vacuum my tiny loft.
Lolly, I bet Michael can afford the water park!!!! How great to just pick up and go away to do things like that!
I will be heading out in an hour down to church
Really sunny out now - Lynn I am glad
you are getting accomplished all that
you wanted too.
Will you see Myrtle again before winter?
Amen Lolly - I have 5 children but there
is still some richer then others and some poorer then the rest. Variety!!!
I just need to win the lotto and even things out a bit! :)
Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. It means a lot to me.
I remember when I was younger and someone turned 59, I thought they were old! It's not old at all. Just gettin' started!
Again, thank you everyone.
No it's not old. Suzan. Funny how our perception of age changes with age ☺ Happy Birthday!
LYNN, I would FREAK if I saw something like that so close to me. That neighbor must drive you nuts! So sorry.
LOL! Andrew...
Oh, Lori, he DOES drive me nuts, in every way. He's a total blight on the neighborhood and has destroyed my property value I'm sure.
Dana, hope the fav cookies will help Andrew open up to/with you!
Lolly, I know exactly what you mean. And Jo is right---winning the lottery to even things out would be fantabulous!!!
Suzan, hope you checked the old thread for birthday greetings!!Hey, you're still just a youngster!!
No problem confusing the names either, everyone does. My mom says it's my fault for naming them Andrew, Aric, Adam and Annemarie!
Lori, you can vent with us anytime---as long as we can SEE it!!! We miss you when we can't!
Oh man Lynne. I would not like that either!
Lolly, not Looly---had a frog in my finger!
Jo, Lynn....doing my best to win the lottery! Money can not buy happiness but it could make life easier!
TCU just scored. TCU 14 Boise ST.7 Go Frogs! Hate that blue field!
Bingo tonight. I need to get ready. BBL.
LOL Loweeeeeda!
Jo, Myrtle is long gone (as in hibernated!)---they must dig deep before frost! Sure hoping that she does reappear come spring! Her visits were much fewer this year. :(
Who is Myrtle?
Loretta, bet your Christmas shopping list is longer this year than it's ever been. Hope you find everything you want for the kids. I know they will be SO appreciative.
Go TERPS!
Go FROGS!
Cool, eagle in our nest
Eagle!
Still there...back to us
Always makes me jump when all of a sudden they are there!
Poling around in the bowl...I think this is our REM
poof!
Saw a bird in the nest!!!!!!
POOF!
Eagle has poofed
Lynn, I do hope you can get outside and do what you want. Wishing you good weather!
TCU leads at half time 20-14. Rif Ram Bah Zooo, Give em hell TCU!☺
Lynn, maybe I mentioned before, but neighbor behind us usually ends up hanging a deer head from a tree in their backyard. I won't sit on back deck when that happens. A whole body would make me want to get a machete & cut the rope!!!
Nite light on at 5:14pm
EAGLE IS BACK
EAGLE ALERT
I see an eagle in our nest!
Eagle!
Night light & Eagle?
IN CEWNTRE OF THE NEST DIGGIN BELOW THE CUP REA
THINK IT'S THE REM AGAIN.
I THINK IT IS BELLE
LOOKING TOWARDS THREE AND UP TO WHERE THE CAMERA IS. TRUTH BE TOLD I AM NOT SURE WHICH ONE ITIS
I think it is an eagle. lol
NOW LOOKING TOWARDS ONE POSITION AND MOVES TO THREE LOOKS LIKE READY TO POOF
Like REM! :)
poof
POOF!
YEP POOFED. TOOK ONE PICTURE BEFORE THE POOF.
Temporary name, Sharon!
Heading out, catch ya'll later!
I think the nest is looking pretty good, maybe more work on the left side.
I know, Resident Eagle Male. I thought we could use REM since the band is retiring. :)
I WILL CONCUR WITH PAULA THAT IT WAS REM...WHEN HE MOVED TOWARDS NOON HIS SHAPE WAS THEAT OF REM NOT BELLE.
I think REM is just dandy for now. Eager to vote again!
Well, I see I missed a visit! Must have been a quickie.
Paula, I think we both deserve a drink after all we've done today!! Think I'll have a Margarita with my dinner....join me???
I had a very good yoga practice. It is cold outside and the temperatures seem to be dropping yet it is still raining in my part of town...The mountains are mostly shut in and there are many local farmers trying to sell the last of their fruit and thier hazelnuts.
It is Christmas Craft season already in town so there is lots to do and there was lots of activity when I was out...too wet to walk in the park, so I will prepare a soup instead.
WVU Mountaineers beat Cincinnati today 24-21
Go 'Eeers
Bet that made NormaByrd very happy !
Good Evening Eagle Pals
Hoda - - did you ever sleep today ???
Penn State lost to Nebraska 17-14.
I feel badly for the players...
three-planet night now a one - planet night
managed to see Venus and Mercury, low in the SouthWest, and they have already set, but
Jupiter is mighty and bright in the East
Mars comes out overnight...and Saturn, just before Sunrise, still hard to see it yet !
But that makes it a 5-planet month, also, December will be the same ☺
Lori
you talk of whining...
you might or might not remember I had a long stretch when I could not get the NCTC live feed going..that was two years ago
I whined a good bit then
Then there was the time I lost sound....
and then there was the time....
So, point is: Not to worry!
xo ☺
Happy Birthday again, Suzan!
Hope your weather was as glorious as ours was up in these parts...
and that your birthday has been grand...
and you are definitely NOT OLD!!
☺
okay Hoda....I was watching during the mid-morning nest visit and saw you posting, and posting...and wondered about it then!
I will check out your pictures shortly, and I read that some have helped you with your picture-posting
now I remember I am supposed to be listening to Prairie Home Companion
Yikes! I know Kay and Seth are listening....
Hi Lynne, beautiful avatar...
Hey Lynn-Hedgie...
Bravo on all the work you are getting done...
true to the term, Whirling Dervish ! ☺ xo
Paula, same goes for you...
Oh, man, this game is killing me. 4th quarter and it is tied 28 28! Go Frogs!
Proud of me, Margy? I have done nothing today!!! LOL Rode one hour to Denton, sat at a soccer game, rode one hour home, and have now sat in my chair all afternoon!
I have excerted myself petting Annie when she has jumped up unto my lap.
of course I'm proud of you Lolly..it's important to get our rest!
And you brought joy to the Denton Gang ☺
and Annie too it seems...
LOL
I am getting famous for typing "our" when I mean "your"
nice pictures, Hoda!
I still can only post five pics at a time, you're way ahead of me
shower and shampoo time here, boring, but necessary
Best Wishes for a great evening, Precious Pals !
xo ♥
You are also famous for doing a Margy! I am proud to know a famous person! (((hugs)))
(( Hugs♥ )) back, Lolly and a few for Jack too...xoxoxoxoxo
and Go Frogs!
See....you pulled a Margy! lol
And, I love the Go Frogs!
Will be glad to deliver the hugs to Jack.
There's Our Little Margy!!!! How was your day----long, I'm sure. Gonna wash that job right outta your hair???
I feel a nap coming on...Margarita taking effect! Gotta scrub a pan before I head for the sofa, tho'
Good-sounding new movies on Lifetime and LMN tonight! Hope I can stay awake!!
I see Jupiter, and a beauteous moon rising!!!
Later, gators.
OMG OMG OMG Frogs ahead 36 35 and one minute left to go.
Goooooooooooo Froggggggggggggs!!!!
Lolly......
come back with the final score, I put off my shower waiting!
Did the Frogs......Go ????
TCU won!!!! I am just so excited!!!
36 to 35, they missed a surefire fieldgoal in the last seconds. I yelled...."He missssssssssssed!!!
Well there you go, Lolly...
you can do your happy dance now...
☺ ☺
I see that beauteous Moon, Lynn...
and mighty Jupiter....
ttfn xo
So glad LOLLY TCU won...
Thank you, Margy and Hoda! Yep, doing the habby dance!!! LOL
I just talked to Normabyrd. I miss her. I told her when she was ready to get back on the blog to call me and we would get it set right up. I love her!!!
Lynn, she said she would definitely start a prayer for you and your surgery.
I told her about open house in April and that we really wanted to get there for that.
WOW, Lolly! Your Frogs won!
Doubtful we'll get to say that about Terps. In fact, I probably won't get to see them unless I go down in the cold dungeon! LOL Have afghans down there!
Later~~~~
LOL!!! Loretta has Afghans in her basement...do tell more !!!
PS: It is OK I know what you are talking about, I could not resist....I have crocheted a few myself!!!
Sharon - thanks for the call to Norma.
The moon is very large but it is whitish
I was hoping that Penn State would win
We had soup & Salad for dinner..
Going to watch one of the Hallmarks at 8
Prayed very fervently tonight at Mass
So if you feel someone's arms around you just relax and let Him take hold.
Thanks, Jo---I feel Him!!!
Congrats to Lolly's Frogs!
LOL, Lowreeda----tell Fubby the basement is the man cave and let HIM wrap up in afghans!!
Hoda, interesting expression----wonder why the difference?? BIG difference between a frog and a cat!
Sharon, how did Norma seem to you? So nice of you to call her and let her in on what's happening.
n Canada LYNN when the english want to be deragatory, put down of the French they call them frogs...The European French have the same complex. The French are also known as Pepsi, because they drink the largest amount of pepsi per ethnic group in the North American market...All this started with Lolly's Frogs and then my Fench Teacher mind kicked in with trivia that I used to share with students...
Hoda
you have such a wealth of knowledge and references...we enjoy that!
Thank you Jo...do indeed feel His Hold ♥
Sharon, God Bless You for reaching out to NormaByrd...I know you do that at just the right time!
I have some flamingos for an avatar that will come up in a few days or so....
hope that Norma was shaking her pom pom to pieces today ☺
Lynn
don't let Liesl read this post...
when does she pack her little suitcase and have her sleepovers with the Trainer?
don't let her forget to throw her tug toy in there !
Thanks JO...Much appreciated...strong prayers and always welcome...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
hoping that some of the day's sunshiney warmth has held inside the rooms of Lynne and Steve's Roost....
I was just wondering if LYNNE will chime in...I second your hope MARGY.
We have not heard from LINDA either.
Taking an early leave tonight, and going to dent some pillows and heap up some rest for Sunday.....
sure hope to hear from Wanda, regarding how GG is today...
and always look for everyone else's status reports too...
Prayers for Wellness Amongst Us, and that Sleep is Restful...
Good Night, Precious Pals....
God Bless This Nest,
and God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Back from our typical Sat. nite din din of bacon cheese burgers. My favorite meal!!! Jack even found a bottle of hamburger wine to celebrate!! Wahooo!
Actually, Hoda, TCU is Horned Frogs, with are actually lizards, which do not make the typical frog sound. LOL It is nice and fun to be unique!
Nite Margy! You are unique, too! Love you!
I'm here! Just finished supper.
Hamburger wine....cheap wine that goes with hamburgers. lol
Sleep tight Margy....are you having to work tomorrow? Hey, how is Tom Sweetie by the way?
Know what you mean about it being warmer outside than inside. Have experienced that.
OH Margy....someone on the FB page The Great Backyard Bird Count said they saw TUNDRA SWANS on a lake in Wisconsin! They are on the move!
Jack just poured me some more wine and said "Oh, blessed graduate of a football factory!" roflmbo!!!!
It used to be that the trees dropped most of their leaves by Thanksgiving. No more!
I'll bet Paula will have Tundra Swan sightings at the Paradise before too long!
My little Redbuds were among the first to become naked. Sure hope we get more than 5 blooms next spring!
We had terrific wind today and have rain predicted for early next week. However, not a drought ending rain. Keeping an eye out now on the weather in Pagosa Springs, CO. We head there Friday!
Good evening and good night!
Hoping all had a pleasant day and enjoyed God's blessings.
Another family day tomorrow. Wishing all pleasant dreams.
CarolAnne, enjoy the rest of your weekend at your paradise!!!!
I think it's time for some ice cream. Where's Loretta??!!
BBIALW---going to take my bath.
LYNN if you liked pepsi you must have french blood in you then ;^)Kiddin' !!!LOL
It will be good when you come back from the hospital and tell us how LIESL made out at the trainers...I bet you she will be waiting anxiously to come home.
Yep, LOLLY, Wikipedia just confirmed for me, Horned Toads, Horny Toads, Horned Frogs--one and the same. Really lizards, but we call them toads or frogs. Wonder how TCU decided on the Frog for a mascot. Do you know ?
Great visits from our eagles today!!
Short visit for me tonight.....
Had a busy day getting miscellaneous things done around the house and watched the Hallmark Movie tonight.
Ear pain is about the same - no worse and I can open my mouth a little more each day. I'm hopeful!!
Saying prayers for all......
May God Bless and Protect us all and the critters we so dearly love... xoxo ♥♥♥
Night ♥
♫♪♫♪HAPPY BIRTHDAY NCSUZAN♫♪♫♪
LINDA, are you feeling better ? Your post seems to send out a
"I'm feeling better" vibe.
Love you Eagle Buds ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
WANDA, have to pull a MARGY here. How was GG today ? I've worried about her since reading your account of her condition last night.
Prayers for all being said and wish for a good night's rest for all of us♥
Yes, Horned Frogs, Horned
Toads...same thing.
Fell asleep. Think I will go shower and go to bed early. I am exhausted from doing nothing! Whoops! Drank some wine..that is it!
Glad you are having a good weekend, CarolAnne. Enjoy!
Going to get me some Zacharooski time tomorrow! Off to shower.
BBIALW
Howdy, all.
Wanda, long day for you too! How is GG feeling?
Lolly, glad your Frogs won and you get some Zach time tomorrow
Lynn, I know how much you will miss Liesl!
Linda, glad the ear is a little bit better.
Hoda, restful sleep for you tonight!
The nest is really bright, lovely moon still.
OK gonna get Nick in and hit it.
and I am not staying up until 3pm psT to close the poll. I 'll close it in the morning when I get up!
(((Hugs for all)))♥
KAY, not to worry about GG and her upset tummy.
All done! I feel relaxed and comfy now. Liesl is sleeping soundly. Almost time for the news, and Christie will be calling when she leaves work at 11.
Who was it that said they had a FROG in their finger...was that you, Lowreeda? I snorted at that comment!!
Skimmed over the posts this evening.
We started out to go to bingo, found there was no bingo at the usual place, so we went to another fire station where there were playing, but there were no parking spaces left, so we went bowling.
Then came home and watched the final Harry Potter movie on DVD.
I miss Norma, too.
Kay, assuming that Seth and Malcolm are with you...right? Have a fun morning!
Saying my goodnights now. I'm sure Jo and Andy will pop in yet, so hi and bye to t hem!
Prayers for all. Love you, each and every!!!
