It is so great that they came to the nest and had a visit. I feel really happy about it. The last of une was the last I personally saw them. I missed all the July visits.There were not very many of them.

Wanda, do contact a nearby farm as the lady at the Farmers' market today said they donate tons of fresh food to soup kitchens, charities, etc.

Lots going on here. Kathryn is trying to calm the kids down. Meanwhile, things are not good with the parents.
Kids are just being kids, though. They are not aware of the parental issues.

Nuts, I missed the nest visit!! TY so much, JudyE and Margy for video and pics. That bird went zipping thru so fast, I couldn't tell what it was. Did look about mockingbird size. How Bold! Like those stupid crows and Golden Eagles in email JudyE sent! Fubby loved that!!
Lynn, I can imagine your angst about Liesl, but she will be fine. I know you picked a good place and young dogs adjust quickly. My daughter has to take her cat to kennel a lot and Merry does well. They have "Play Time" when they are out in large area w/lots of toys and climbing contraptions. We can add her to the prayer list. ☺
When I get all the details, I wish to add our friend, Danny, to the prayer list. He is the hubby of my Godfather's daughter--a lifelong friend. I had mentioned him awhile ago---had a slight stroke w/numbness on right side.They live in Annapolis and finally got him to cardiologists, etc.,& had some tests.He has an aortic valve defect
and some kind of mass (I don't know where, yet), a part of which may have broken off, travelled thru vessels to brain & caused the numbness. That part is in no danger now as the brain cells around that "clot" have died, it can not travel and new vessels have grown around to take their place! He will be getting surgery ASAP at WHC--no date, yet & they will have to open sternum, replace valve and do the other repairs.
He is 64 and if you ever saw him, he is the picture of health--rather small, dark curly hair(getting grey), very smart and talented.
Getting quiet here now. Kids are settling down--I hope.
Guess I have overdone it.....got my shoulder blade pain back....
Time to put clothes in dryer....

Well, the boys have quieted down, but the little girl is afraid of the thunder. I was afraid that might happen.
Lynn, you are stressing, I think. Liesl will be fine. We left Annie for 5 weeks last fall and she adjusted and went right back into routine when she returned home. I do understand, though, how you are feeling.

BTW I think Chris Hanburger had a house a couple miles South of the Park. There is a 3rd boat ramp maintained by Park about 10 miles down the road. Next door was a private ramp owned by family we knew well.Chris and John Riggins used to put in there. I never saw Chris cutie, but did see Riggo's Ranger truck go down to that ramp once! The good ole days!

I think Kathryn got the little girl settled. They seem to get along very well.
Looked at Judy's video. That bird is so fast I do not know how anyone could see blue feathers. I tried to stop the video on the frame when the bird was there, but so far no luck.
Aww LYNN I have tears now she will be fine you just do what you need and she will be so happy when she see you. I always hated leaving my pets I haven't replaced my last cat yet and not for sure if I will I'm still paying of the credit card bill from the last cat LOL

Thanks for all encouragement. Seemed like all the dogs in the kennel were BIG ones....and most were lying on bare concrete. I said "you DO give some bedding material, don't you?" and the girl said "yeah." Can't have my wee one with her hairless belly lying on cold, bare concrete.

Just got this message from Derick about the horse seizure:
"There's one that is 10 days old,
and 1 that's 5 days old. The 5-day old foal is smaller than June Bug(deer), or Clara(poodle).
Their Mamas have hip bones protruding and ribs showing. There also are 3 or 4
full size horses in VERY bad condition (starvation/dehydration), 1 at the vet's
facility and 1 had already been euthanized. At this point, the remaining
surviving animals are able to stand on their own.
The woman who the horses were seized from thought they all "looked good.". She
has 15 more horses that actually did appear healthy. However, AC saw no water in
the water troughs. There IS access to water on the property. She just needs to
turn on the hose. So, they gave her notice that if the water problem isn't
corrected, they'll be back for the other 15 horses.
I have a feeling the 11 horses are going to turn into 26 by the end of the week.
I hope and pray that is not the case. AC is maxed out. "
This just makes me sick and sad.

Hi, Everyone,
Have been spending the day in the recliner with my foot propped up as high as I can get it. It still hurts. Will try to get a sooner Dr. appt. tomorrow. No redness or streaks have appeared. No heat. Just very stiff and hurts like crazy! Will probably have to try to be seen by someone tomorrow if it's not better. It is my right foot, so not sure I can drive with it. It hurts to even touch the bottom of my foot (OR the top of it!) Don't remember hitting it, twisting it, taking a wrong step. This just appeared. Oh, well. Will try to get treatment, and am sure it will get better. Wanda, thanks for the info about gout. That may be what this is.
Well, need to get my foot elevated again. Prayers are said for everyone, and every creature. Making sure the porch light is lit. Enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone! God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
P.S.-- Lynn, know what you mean about leaving Liesl. HATE to leave Emma behind, too. Sure she will be fine, though, and if you are able to find a b___h house, think of the fun Liesl will have there!

It is 77°here in Nestville, cloudy, rather dreary, going up to 93°...maybe more rain this afternoon. We had two good episodes of rain yesterday! Megan didn't seem as happy as I was, so it must not have rained as much for her. She is appx. 10 miles away from me. Terrible to have to depend on the weather and mother nature for your livelihood. Very satisfying, though, when everything comes together, as it should.
LYNN, hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip, also a productive one!

I could not tell much on the charactistics on the video of the visiting little bird at the nest Saturday evening
(but it is a GREAT video JudyE caught)
but we have been watching it go IN and out and around the "Hole" on the branch on the right upper side of the screen, and last evening while watching live,
it seemed to have characteristics of Yellow-Billed Cuckoo, Mockingbird, and Brown Thrasher all rolled into one bird.
I could not see Blue, but Hoda could.

The slumber party was fine, but the children had to leave early this morning to go to a lacrosse tournament. That's why Kathryn wanted them to settle down at a reasonable time. They will be very tired tonight.
Judie, your words are kind, but I am only doing what any mother would do. Kathryn has done many things for me. We have taken care of one another through some hard times over the years.
I'm going to see if i can download all four on blog while I am at work I opened four ie and will try it the are all leff that 130min so I think it should work just hope I will only have to hit py=ublish when I come home

I feel I need to make a comment about the blue that I saw on the darting bird in the nest with last evening's visit. What I think I saw is a lighter shade of blue as the wings were flapping...very light baby blue. But since several have said they could not see it now I am doubting it, yet at the time I was clear about it...true the bird was going so fast and it was a glimpse back and forth...I do not know what kind of a bird it is...
Your eyes are quicker than mine, Hoda. If you think you saw blue, I believe you saw blue.

I know that Robyn is having tanks brought to each Hotel they are stopping at. Due to Tori being on the amount of oxygen she is on. Those car thingy's I had checked out for Ed they don't run high enough oxygen. Most settings are 2 and that is too low. Praying the tanks where already there when they got there. So Tori had plenty of oxygen before the lights went out.
Lynn I know you are not here. Sending prayers for Liesl to be taken very good care of. Prayers you all find this time the house you want if this is God's will for you. Happy for you and Liesl's reunion when you get back. She and you will both be HAPPY ( :
Paula I know they have GHO at NCTC because they found that one dead when they were looking for
Liberty. They don't have Osprey there though. So you have found even a better place than most

Thank you dear friends for thinking of Danny.His wife, Jeanne, explained to me some of the details. They may hear of surgery date Monday. His problems involve a birth defect where he has only 2 valves in aorta where there should be 3! There is also a mass near valves. Not CA, they don't think, but the 2 valves & heart have been working hard all this time to compensate. He Is lucky nothing more severe hasn't occurred already.
I thought he might be embarrassed to have people he doesn't know pray for him, but they are thrilled and so thankful to Momsters, Dadsters for any extra prayers they can get! TY from me~~ you guys are great!

Yoga is done and groceries are done. Some wonderful Peaches and Fresh Blueberries,and Cherries. I think I overdid the fruit for this week!!! By the way it IS HOT here today again.It is 79 degrees and they are projecting 90 for today...
The planes are less noisey...only heard them in the morning and maybe this is when they were leaving???I can only hope!!!

We made it home.
Kay-I was really disappointed with the MLB game. I'm not sure what to say I didn't like. It could be because it was a blow out. It also could be because I didn't or don't know anything about the Padres' or Pirates' players.
OMG, the concert was great. It was very unique, with the fireworks and such. It was the best display of fireworks I have ever seen.
THELMA...nothing more boring than sitting in the bleachers, watching a baseball game. It is too slow moving and you can't see very well. Same with football...much better at home!! I have been to the 'Skins and Orioles games and it is exciting just to be there, but home is best for viewing! Glad you enjoyed TRAIN, of course, we knew you would! Home safe and sound, now, rest:)
