WHEEEEEEEE!!!!and here it is I did not get lost in the split!!! Now how to get up without lower back pain!!!LOL
Caught up reaing and I do hope you all stay safe from the hurricane. After shocks could last for a couple of days I heard on CBS...I hope BRO settles down and pleased to hear HUNTER is well with his experiences with the after shocks...Very good zoo report LYNN thank you.KAY it is true summer is coming to a close. I notice it most with the shorter days and the cooler temperatures in the morning and the evening. Trees have not started to change here yet.

Good morning! We were up early and at church early to water the flowers and shrubs. Very pleasant then but 91 now and, yes, going up to triple digits once again. Groan.....

Kay glad you are feeling better and do hope you are 100% tomorrow. You have to be feeling great by Friday! More fun! Yes, we are all excited and looking forward to seeing pictures.

Lynn, thanks for sharing the zoo report. Very interesting! I will show that to Jack when he gets home. Friday is his last day of therapy. He says his neck is "free-er" than it has been in years. He knows what position NOT to put his head in or tingling returns. The nerves were definitely irritated!

Jack leaves Saturday for his Grand Canyon white water rafting. Wahoo! I take him to the airport and then proceed on to Laurel's. Going to spend the night up there babysitting. Going to SIT on those boys! LOL Coming home Sunday morning as I have that party here at 2.

Good Day to Everyone and also to Lurkers.

My mind has had many thoughts this morning. About the earth quake and people. Friends and people I don't know. How it has changed some peoples life already. How it may change it for their future living arrangements.

Knowing this hurricane is going to cause problems in different places. As it has already to those islands.

Placing so many things in Gods Hands.

Mother and I looked at each other and said what ever or whenever God chooses us "we are ready to go with HIM".

I seen a spotted deer yesterday on my way home off to I-81 before Edwin Miller exit. It was beautiful!! I just said out loud "Thank You God."

I am excited for DanaMo and Kay for Friday!!!

BBL. Hunter and I are going to search for something to do. Maybe miniature golf today. He has gotten frustrated with bowling because he hasn't beaten me. I guess he needs a win today.

Taking a break. Windows are clean. Have scrubbed the kitchen cabinets. Sorted the plastic containers and matched with lids. How come that always gets to be a mess. Mine are on a lazy susan in the bottom cabinet. Always falling off the back. Grrr! Kitchen is shaping up. Everyone should have a party now and then just to do major cleaning. lol

Good work Lolly! Time for a break and cool refreshing drink!

On this day in 1932, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the U.S. non-stop. The trip from Los Angeles, CA to Newark, NJ, took about 19 hours.

Just signing in and I really was looking
for a new thread!
Unusual to be able to see Passed the Leaves into the entire nest. I had almost forgotten what it looked like.

This evening is dinner here for Alexis &
dad to visit.

I have been watching the birds feeding
You can really tell which ones are the young - the seem to 'flutter'!

Back from yoga and volunteer time at the library. I think it is great to have a public library and it provides os much to the community. Today I observed people walking in so hot and almost irritable and after five or ten minutes in the airconditioned building they melowed down and sat down with a book or their searches did not seem to be with tension...I like the library. How lucky that in each community there is a library...a true luxury really...a GIFT.

Hoda said...

The blog is slow today, Good on you LOLLY for doing all the cleaning. Wish JACK a safe and wonderful trip for me. How long will he be gone?

I need to go find something for lunch as I missed it when I was volunteering a nice cooling salad perhaps.BBL

hedgie said...

Hi again.

JudyE---glad everyone is enjoying the quake message, but Red posted it first! I just copied!!

Well.....the girl's imaginations are at work according to their men. Shannon says the cracks were already in the basement floor---tho' he admits that they do appear to be a little wider. Charlie says he doesn't think Shanghai bridge is any different.

Next door year round neighbor by our
summer home just called and asked to
go ahead and put any outside items on
the deck into the shed. How strange
that neither hubby or I were even
thinking about it - focused on NC Ft Bragg Bunch.

hedgie said...

A salad would be good, Hoda! I am getting ribs ready for the grill, and will just have some sliced tomatoes with them.

I surely hope that libraries do not fall by the wayside....but know that they are hurting---for clients and funding. I have not used ours in years and years.....research can all be done online, and I really prefer to buy a book that I want to read. Then I can pass it on to so many. Christie, Carolyn, Mom, sis....we share them amongst ourselves, and then they get donated to a worthwhile project.

2 1/2% in the first months have failed the mandatory drug test and the applications have gone down they believe it is attributed to drug testing YEAH FL

JudyEddy said...

I wish a few of the Sycamores leaf we see would fall off LOL

Lynne2 said...

JudyE----it is often caused by vitamin deficiency---take a daily multi-vit. It can also be a little touch of fungus....like thrush. Eat some yogurt, and apply Vit. E (just puncture a capsule with a pin and apply often).

Lynne, forecast is improving.....according to DC Ch. 9 meteorologist.

hedgie said...

Have a young 4 pt. buck on the corn---Liesl is out on the deck mesmerized with him. She has been sitting staring at him for 10 mins. Usually she barks at the does and fawns......she must be in love!
