Dressed and ready to go out and celebrate....46 years! We are going to Nonna Tatas, our favorite Italian food. Yahoooo! 46 years ago at 4:00 PM. It is presently 4:30 here...guess for sure it is 46 years now!
We are enjoying our new carpet...our anniversary present to each other. (Jack really is not a romantic!) However, I am very happy with the new carpeting!
Loaded my clothes in the trailer this afternoon. Jack checked on line....it is presently 37 where we are going, feels like 27, and zero visibility due to fog. That front that is due here tomorrow is alread there at Rocky Mt. Natl Park.

I saw a first today thru the window and got a couple baby woodpecker pictures--in the nook.
I planned to do some inside chores today, and sort of loafed. Now have got to hit laundry, etc. & eat din din.
Loretta, Tori has interstitial lung disease....a chronic and progressive condition....they are supposed to meet with new specialist in CO next month....she is SO susceptible to any kind of respiratory bug that she can't go to school; she is home-schooled.

I called dentist to make an app't to get a filling done, they were to call me back, that has not happened yet - four hours ago
we all get holiday pay whether we work it or not...
since Caro is on 10-hour shift, she gets 10 hours since she is on the clock today
I get 8 hours
plus our regular salaries
it's a nice benefit.
We don't get penalized if it occurs on our days off

My friend Char Smith, Momster, is having surgery on left eye. For one to two weeks she will only be able to look downward. Therefore, no Face Book nor email during recovery.
And I told her NO bird watching!
Prayers are being requested because when the left eye has
healed she will need surgery on

Went to an eye surgeon yesterday. Don't ya just hate bad news? Right eye to be operated in June 1st and not too bad of a repair. The left eye comes after that and outlook is lousy I have like a 20% chance of vision again. Please pray for more of a vision for me. And many thanks.

Well the A/C is fixed. The problem wasn't covered under the warranty, it's a "maintenance" problem. So I had 2 choices pay $75 dollars for him to tell me it was clogged or pay $140 for fix the clog. Geez. I paid the $140

LYNN, do keep us posted on ROBYN and TORI. NYC can be rough on people with respiratory problems as you get trapped in those canyons created buildings and can't help but breathe in way too much carbon monoxide. I know D.C. Children's is a fine facility--I was there with new little Seth in Aug. of 1994--they stablized him and then he and Hugh took an ambulance ride up to Johns Hopkins. Julie and I followed by car after stopping back by their house for clothing and all things needed for an extended stay at Children's House. Scary times. Praying earnestly for them, for Char, for Lynne2, for Shirley and Judie. The prayer list just grows and grows.....

The tripod dog reminds me. We have a tripod deer in our neighborhood herd. It doesn't look like an injury, but rather a birth defect. It doesn't slow her down a bit---she keeps right up with the rest !
Hunter, Kathryn, and I all had some of the chocolate ice cream tonight.
Kathryn got some info from the insurance company about the TMJ treatment. She will need to see one of their participating specialists.
When I had TMJ problems, it went away before I saw anyone, so I have not done anything. That was years ago.
But I am careful. I do not bite into an apple, for example.

Need to go get my legs up. Been up and down too many steps today. Office called me about another dog. No one has put up missing dog papers. I did find the dog might be a very small chihuahua. It runs even if you are far away from it. Had to go to different peoples places in here. To tell them Animal Control wants them to keep feeding it and maybe someone can snap a picture of it. Also maybe with feeding it will finally let someone feeding it catch it.
I am so tired of people either dropping off animals or just not caring for them.
I have regular doctors appointment tomorrow.
I need tomorrow to also go to another home. That I found might be feeding it. Want to tell them to keep feeding.

Just read that the body of a Fire Fighter Recruit was pulled from the reservoir on Sunday afternoon. Been missing since May 29, but his car was found parked on the the road up the street from here near the bridge that crosses it. Just 20 years old, with a 7 mo old baby. He is at the ME for autopsy. So sad....
But she is ready to go to bed now. She's taking Hunter up too. He will have to go to the dentist with me tomorrow.
Thank you for all of the kind words and prayers, everyone. I am hoping this won't be too bad. Both Kathryn and Susan have had it done and said it was not too bad. Our dentist is big on pain prevention.

Dana, I know what you mean....but I try to remember that sometimes, something just "happens"...maybe a friend caring for the dog for the owner left a door open too long, or it slipped it's leash. It's not ALWAYS someone abandoning a pet on purpose, and so many pets are so timid that they are too afraid even to get home. It's sad. I hope someone can get a picture, or better yet, maybe set a safe trap with food to try to get it.
Kathryn has TMJ--a very painful jaw. She is having trouble eating.

Christie has a form of TMJ---not so much pain, but her jaw clicks a lot when she opens her mouth and sometimes it locks...it may well turn into a TMJ condition as she gets older. All started when she was dropped on a gym floor and hit with her chin.

Prayers for Jo's friend Char. My eye doctor said I needed a short laser treatment to correct "angle"! Think he means pupil opening or something, as he said iris is touching something. DUH. I told him NO! I can see fine & it's not a problem yet. He tried to do a similar thing to Fubby & was putting some kind of thin metal shield? in his eye. I think it's to keep lids away. F said he couldn't get it in right & it hurt so bad, they gave up procedure.His eye was sore for days.(Dr., who is brilliant, has arthritis.) I had that in my mind! Now we got a notice Dr. is retiring! YEA. Home free for a while!

Have to tell on myself....saw on fb where Beverly's twin brothers were having a birthday. Then I saw on the blog someone saying something about Sharon's twin brothers. I thought to myself, "oh, they have Bev and Sharon confused." LOL Joke is on me. Duh! They are sisters therefore they both have twin brothers. OMG! I think I need to go to bed!
Oh, Wanda....we still have an hour left of our anniversary!
Laurel is presently getting rain. I am so jealous! We have a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. Have all my toes and fingers crossed!
Yes, Lynn, more rain on the way. Dustin managed to get our grass mowed over a two day period, in between rains.
The rains have brought us some good sized tomatoes and lots of peppers. Squash is growing like crazy...GG has some small squash that should be ready to eat in a week or so. She has sun all day long on her garden. We don't get very much sun anywhere on our property.

July 4th in Denton, Joey as "Elvis" is singing the Natl Anthem. They wanted him to do it, as that will advertise Elvis on the Square on Aug 13. Yep, it is that time again.

I am now heading to the shower and then to bed. Got a lot of packing done today. Going out tomorrow to get some things. Laurel will be here for a minute around lunch as she is coming to town to visit with her high school best friend.
Jacob story first....Laurel took Joseph to basketball camp at Univ of North TX today. They entered the gym and Joseph took off to play. Jacob stayed with Laurel. She registered Joseph and then the lady said to Jacob..."You can go play now." Laurel told her it was not Jacob she was registering but his older brother. The lady told her that Jacob could come too...it was for second grade on up. Laurel explained that Jacob had just finished kinder. The lady could not believe it and called one of the coaches over. They were amazed at Jacob's size. That's my boy!

JUDIE; Big bummer on the root canal and new crown. Even with insurance it's through the roof costly! The worst is sitting there in the chair with that trampoline thing in your mouth and the ache that hangs in your jaws the following two days. Gee I sound almost peppy this morning. Forgive my outlook. ((Big HUG)). At least your ankle will be up in the air when they work on your tooth. Ah, now the glass is half full.

A woman who works for Kate, her boyfriend snapped this pic yesterday morning on his way to work on GW Parkway! Kate's employee started watching the Decorah Nest this year and knows Kate watches a lot of them so she sent it on to her.
