Jo, so far so good, only time will tell. It is hard to leave for work when they aren't well. I cannot stay and work as late as I was...I'm worried Boo will have a seizure. The owner where I work said if I needed to bring Boo into work to keep an eye on him, I could.
That is nice of the owner, Paula. It is comforting to have that offer if you need to take him up on it.

I just called Rus because the news is saying that all Americans need to get out. It seems they can't go to the airport until curfew is over in the morning, but then they are supposed to get to the airport.

Don't know about the bread, so much. It's a complex carb and is not broken down into sugar as readily as simple carbs---like potatoes--are. Sometimes the gluten in the flour could cause a problem, too.

Paula, is there lightning in the area? I occasionally see light from the left side like a rotating light.
If she's standing she's not moving much more than her head.
I sadly remember one year Belle was in the nest and we got our hopes up so high and by golly she wasn't in the nest the next morning. But the next night the egg came around 2 am.....

I don't have any explanation about those lights. They don't really look like vehicles lights. Last cam you could really tell it was from a vehicle But not this time... Maybe we will figure it out. It very well could be the cam's night light malfunctioning some way.

No, Wanda, ice has not gone away. High today was 20, presently 19 and going down to 12 again tonight. We will be below freezing until Saturday. It is mighty cold here.

The lights reminded me of the revolving lights at airports. Is there an airport close by?

Paula, the young man second from right is my grandson Brandon and the others are his friends. They actually are Denise's (my daughter) pool boys! She lets them swim whenever they want(almost) and they help with the pool maintenance;)

Got a lump in my throat at the thought of a new season! I come here every year since the disaster in the BC nest when the eggs weren't viable...after the date of hatching passed. I guess it was traumatic for me but I'm happy to be here with you wonderful Momsters and Dadsters.

Steve woke me up...he was hollering about a SB crawling across his ear to his eyelid and he said he hit it and could smell it. What a commotion! SMELL MY EYELID he says. LOOK FOR IT he says. No smell, no SB to be seen. THinks he was dreaming!! And so here I am, downstairs to get a sip of something and almost didn't check the computer. So glad I did!!! Saw email first from JO and just finished reading back.

OK, all seems well, heading back to bed.
Can just make out the white head, which has stayed in the same spot for some time; she seems to be sleeping. All I can hear is some wind noise so nothing else going on right now.
Looks like Belle in the nest . Light is of no use.
hAHAHA. I'm up in the middle of the night to do my duty, and I thought I would check the nest before shutting the machine down.
Then I thought I would be the only one to see Belle sleeping in the nest bowl and I would be first to report it.................. Not even close to the first.
Now I'm wondering if this is her trial night or her 1st egg laying night. Either way, it won't be long now.

I can't tell how deeply she is in the egg bowl, so I can't say if she has laid yet.
She's not in the act now, and we'll have to wait for more light to know.

Fell asleep in front of the TV last night. What a neat surprise to see Belle in the nest earlier this morning! Then she poofed, and now there's an eagle back in the nest. Not sure whether it's her or Lib.

Don't see an egg in the nest, so guess last night was Belle's "practice
night." I am VERY glad there's no snow in the nest! Could hardly believe the pictures they were showing on the early news today. What a mess! I'm SOOOO thankful that the winds here have stopped. It's pretty cold here, but not as bad as what's going on back east! It's 40 degrees here now, and they're saying it will actually get to 70 today.
Just checked the nest again, and it's Belle. She's hunkered down in the nest cup. I'm so eggcited! Maybe today! Well, need to get some breakfast and coffee and feed Emma. Will check back in later. Have a safe and warm day, everyone! Be careful, and don't slip on the ice!
