The weather doesn't sound so great. The skies are gray and all the little birds are chomping up the food out back. Wanda's last trail cam had almost every animal on it that frequents her woods - no cats this time. Just the little stink kitty! lol
Good morning everyone. Later start here but its been a long night. Dog tired again :-(. Dex is chewing. I found the culprit this am BUT we are heading home on Thurs. Have our Motel reservations all made. Then Jack my sons dog also had another seizure at 6 am but Dex and I were already up. Yesterday was beautiful though and I did get my alligator picture. Sunning so eyes were closed but hey I am happy. A few nice bird pictures too but time to go back to the cold AND THE EAGLES :-)
Noise at Lily's Den - sounds like she is singing and then a big huff lol Hope the new cub(s) come soon. I just don't know what to expect from Hope. Other bears have had a yearling in the den when new cubs were born... We just don't know how that worked..
Hello Glo, I am hoping that the time you have had with your son in GA has been memorable. Safe journeys and keep an eye out on the weather. The eagles are waiting for you! ((hugs))
Be neat if I could take my laptop and have the nest up. Be there early am when they arrive. So I could see the sky as to what they are seeing and ducking down from.
I wonder I do have a AC adapter that plugs into cig lighter. Wonder if that would work then I could plug my laptop into that. NOPE I JUST REMEMBER I WOULD BE TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE MONITOR. duh
Best wishes for safe traveling, Glo...and for Dex's comfort
BEagle, am sure that show will air again, in fact looks like it has been already been on several times. I will check some websites or you can:
pbs.org Search for White Falcon, White Wolf Ellesmere Island and watch what comes up, you might be able to find it locally again soon... and you will see some pictures on those links for sure
Good morning! Yes, I know, it is afternoon for most of you. Was up late and slept late. Have been monitoring Lily as I read the paper and had my coffee.
Last night her muscles were contracting. You could see them moving. She was not actually moving but you could certainly see the muscles contracting. She had really been restless this morning and Hope constantly suckling. This birth is certainly going to be interesting.
I'm back. Everything is put away. Gee, did you know....????? The stores are FULL of vendors and stockers on Monday mornings!!??!! Can probably count on half-a-hand the number of times I've ever been to a grocery store in the morning or on a Monday!! But I DID see my eldest GD! As I was checking out, there she stood.....her dad was dooing something in the shopping center and they saw my truck, so she came to hunt me down!!! Sweet Jess.
ROFL, what will Mai get into next??? She just chewed the nose of her puppy toy open again! You all wouldn;t believe how much trouble I'm having THREADING a NEEDLE! Guess I need to make an eye apptmt.!
Lily the Black Bear Lynn Rogers and I are watching with interest and waiting like everyone else. Hope sure complicates things, doesn’t she? We don’t see any definite signs of labor yet, but her increased activity level is of interest. The wait is on. -- SM
Oh-oh-oh.....Mai just indicated a "need" at the sunroom door. Let her out, and she navigated her way down the steep steps!!!! Yippee! Did her duty and came back up. That will sure save me trips up and down the basement steps!!!!! I'm habby!!!!
PH--It's common for eagles to change nests every few years, and they could return to the tree in another few years.
It's been a good site, but they have had some problems with intruders coming in the "back door" while they were near the cliffs and the sea.
Also, the nest partially fell apart after last year's fledglings left.... Dr. Sharpe says there are signs the tree is dying, although you can still see very green branches in the cam picture.
BTW, Dana...you WOULD have your MONITOR---it's attached!!! What you wouldn't have is an internet connection unless you lucked into an unprotected one somewhere---or went to Daily Grind or McD's.
It is 52 and partly sunny, sooooo I am putting on my grubbies and heading outside. It will be good for the soul! Yea! I am habby, too!
Before changing into my grubbies, I fed the fish, and then cleaned the stream. It was so clogged with leaves you could not hear it. I now have a stream that is bubbling along.
The old gashes are healing, BEagle. The new gashes are still under bandaids!
Feel like I need a nap---y-a-w-n! But need to clean out stove and rebuild fire. Need to draw some water, too, in case the power goes out tonight/tomorrow. Ice is NOT friendly.
Not sure when or if I will ever get my FB account back....been reading nothing but horror stories on people who have been "temporarily disabled" .... no one at facebook answers your emails....
BEagle - feeding of 2 or 3 chicks is an art for the adults! Our Lib and Belle was great at it. Sometimes the older and larger eaglet got fed first and a lot so that he would be filled and then the younger one(s) would be fed. I remember that we had both parents doing the feeding before at one time. It's interesting!
Just got back from my last "official" day as an Irvine employee :(
Vet called while I was gone today. SHe's with an appointment now and will call me back. She did NOT say that the test were fine in the message...just to call her so we can talk about the results. Probably not going to be good news.
Late getting here today! Been reading & see Glo will be heading home. Have a wonderful dinner Wed. & safe trip!! Shirley, great news about Susan, altho I'm sure she doesn't feel great! So dark and cold here today & grey sky all day. Makes you want to snooze, which I did. They are saying we will get mostly rain, I hope, not ice.
Sorry, Megan, worked outside all afternoon. In now and need to clean up. It really wasn't fun work, mostly cleaning up. It looks a lot better and we will work again tomorrow. When the sun would peek out it almost felt warm. However, sun is hiding now and I was getting chilled.
still waiting.....UGH Hope Dana has had some news on L-Man by now. Hope George gets a good report from his day at the vet too!
Shirley, SO SO SO glad Susan will be coming home on Wednesday! I'm sure you'll feel much better once you can give her a big hug and kiss! Prayers for safe travels and NO MORE COMPLICATIONS!!
Glo, prayers for you and Dex on your venture home on Thursday as well!
Paula, that is SO ridiculous that you can't get FB straightened out. Good grief. So far I've had no problems with it at all. How is your cold?
SO I was really PO'd when Oprah bought the Discovery Health Channel and it's gone now. BUT....there is a new channel! Discovery Fit and Health, beginning on Feb 1 Discovery Fit and Health Channel
Edgar Allen Poe's B'day is on Wednesday....wonder if the mysterious visitor will bring roses and cognac this year? Last year, he/she never came, first time in over 60 years!
Lynne, I've been wondering about that Discovery thing....my continuing education classes have aired on DHC.....hope they will continue on the new channel or on Discovery.
For those who care (I do cause I like the animals a nd the crazy repartee between them), Jack Hanna is on Letterman tonight!
We watch Disc. Health a lot and when Oprah's OWN channel started, I just happened to click up 2 numbers and got those med. shows on the Health & Fit. I was so happy. I thought at first that she just bought that channel and all the reg. shows would be on it.We love trauma ER, Mystery Diagnosis, etc.Sometimes you can figure out the disease before those poor people who've been searching for answers for 10 years!
Just talked with my sister, Sharon, today is her 71st birthday. Tomorrow is Michael's 42nd birthday. Lot of birthdays around here. LOL I was visiting Sharon on her birthday 42 years ago when Michael was born. I figured back and I was probably sitting and drinking my morning coffee at her house when he was born. Eleven days later he was placed in my arms. :)
Margy, lots of gardens look sorta sad this time of year. Just trying today to make my sad yard look a wee bit neater. Did notice that my daffodils are starting to send up buds. :)
no, Lolly, still waiting. She is still at the clinic, though. I just talked to my friend Gail, her mother, and the kids are still with her. They had a really busy day with some emergencies.
I've been back was so tired layed down with Little Man and we both napped. Just woke about 10 minutes ago. I fed him he ate good. Vet called me and the kidney test like all the others came back negative. I told her how I changed his food and he is eating good.
Vet mentioned maybe we could do a sonogram but whatever it showed they can't do surgery.
I have been praying since this started (the wait for this test to come back) and talking to Ed. Everytime I discuss it with him. I get this "just leave him be, don't put him through all this like they did me". I felt so strongly he wants me to leave Little Man be and wait and see if he gets worse since they don't seem to find anything that is causing the problem. So that is the decision I have made and the vet felt so also. For the time for now. Again Vet memtioned he is 72yrs old. Right now his quality of life is as a older dog should be. Vet felt Cushiing Disease at one time but our other dog had that. Little Man is not showing those signs.
I read back where Suzan is coming home...sorry if her trip was cut short but happy for her to be back home. Where maybe they can find out was is wrong health wise.
Glo as I mentioned have a good SEAFOOD NIGHT and prayers for a safe journey home for you and Dex.
Hedgie-Lynn Mai is getting the hang of things....good girl!!!!(:
Good Evening everyone. Shirlet, such good news that Susan is coming home and also that she does not have H1N1. Double relief.
For those that have under the weather furry family memebers, I hope they all will get positive reports and may only be suffering from a little cabin fever.
lots of new photos in the E-M album..including one by edgy_su entitled "Belle & Lib Praying" taken, I think around 1:30 - right now is the next to last photo in the album for this month
Susan sent that pic out in the Momsters mail first. Great caption she had - The family that prays together stays together. She asked for directions to place in E_M album and she had no problem at all.
sorry to hear that, Shirley, hope George will "perform" Tuesday...guess it changes the animal dynamics a good bit with one creature missing
Just before White Falcons, White Wolves on PBS last night there was an awesome special featuring Les Paul for his 90th birthday.... he has since passed away, but it was something to see!
okay sorry to eat up so much precious blog space...will step away for awhile
Hi, Everyone, It's been another busy day at this roost. Can't believe I'm just now getting here! Today's Hubby's 70th Birthday! Nice that he had today off work, because of MLK Jr. Day.
We went and signed the paperwork for Emma to stay at her Petopia "Doggy Camp" when we go to Sis-in-law's timeshare in Desert Hot Springs next Saturday. The place Emma will be at is REALLY clean and nice, and highly recommended by her vet. We still figure we will be totally miserable without her for one night! Only want to go to dog-friendly places from now on!
Shirley, that's GREAT that Susan can come home, and that it's NOT H1N1! Talk about good news! Hope we hear more good news about George tomorrow!
Lynne, hoping and praying that it's NOT bad news about Brother Cat! Hang in there!
Dana, your plan for Little Man sounds plenty good to me! Prayers for the little guy! Glad he's eating!
Glo, hope you have a wonderful dinner on Wednesday, and a safe and enjoyable trip back home.
Well, need to go do a few things that haven't gotten done yet. Will try to check back in later tonight. Have a good evening! :o]
talked to vet. Pancreatic test all came back negative, which is really NOT what we were hoping for. Lots of technical stuff, but still possible lymphoma, or IBD, although IBD seems less likely now. He'll go on a course of pred and antibiotics starting tomorrow, and we'll recheck his blood in 2 weeks. Special diet, too. It's a wait and see thing, that will also largely be based on how he is doing. I'm sorry to report that the diarrhea, which had been subsiding for the last few days, is now back. UGH.
Dana, glad L-Man's test were negative, and I think you are doing the right thing by him.
Speaking of GEORGE not "being able to go"...I had blood work done today and was asked to give a specimen, which I was not expecting to have to do and had just emptied my bladder before I left the house! Well, I am not one who can 'go' on command...it was a long struggle, but finally did what I could:)
Visited GG and she was in one of her "I couldn't eat a thing, I have no appetite" moods. Made her some egg salad... "not hungry". Made her some tomato soup..."not hungry"...made a toasted p-butter and jam sandwich..."not hungry". I asked her if she could think of anything that I could fix her to eat, because I couldn't leave her until she ate something..."I might could eat that steak that Gene brought up here, how long did you say to microwave it?" I was thinking of LIGHT foods for her if she wasn't hungry, but she was a happy camper with that steak. I cut up the tender side (the filet) and she had eaten all of that, before I left for home. Don't know if she at the rest or not, but I was happy to see her eat:)
I'm happy for Shirley that she is getting her Susan back home. I do hope that she is over whatever ailed her, but that she checks in with her doctor at her hometown.
Have to read back and see why GLO is coming home early. I guess Dex is not getting any better with his skin problem. So sorry Glo!
Ah yes, Dana...Little Man is doing his own thing now, let him. Give him lost of hugs and chicken and broth. Maybe he would like chicken noodle soup:) You have done all that you could, so don't feel guilty about anything♥
Wanda - once I was also asked to give a sample along with my one blood test. Finally I said "give me the bottle - I'm going home and I'll send it back to you later!" I also empty my bladder before I leave my house. I had no idea whatsoever that they were going to ask me for a sample....
Mai and Emma have good reports and So does Izzy...... The little accomplishments in life. Elizabeth went into the bathroom and unzipped her sleeper PJ's and climbed onto the toilet all by her self. It was the first time she has ever gotten onto the toilet with out a stool or help. Yay!
Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for safe trip and more comfort for Dex very soon. It is a long trip alone but it is really necessary at this time for Dex and I to go. My son's plate is quite full and well I had my chauffer to get here. I can get Dex and I home. I have looked at forecasts all the way and hopefully have chosen my days and stops wisely. I can always stay and extra night if I need to somewhere should weather cause travel issues. I am retired and have no schedule although I will pick up my w2 from the shelter when I get home LOL. Second year I have been retired and still worked enough to still pick up that W2. Boss still says I am on an extended sabatical.
Hey Lynn, congrats on Mei's potty training breakthrough
Lynne2, sorry about the cat...that there is no diagnosis yet...hope the meds will help...I didn't think they were looking for lymphoma, guess lymphoma presents very differently in dogs and cats...my dog had no diarrhea
Dana, glad Little man is eating and tests came back OK...I agree...leave him be.
I still have the cam up and the picture is grainy but I still see the empty nest. You can't tell it's snowing but you could see if an eagle was in the nest.
already offered my plastic to a friend, guess I better wait to see what he says....I'm not supposed to have to go out in this til tomorrow night... prayers for Midnight Shifter Carolyn later and all evening travelers right now!
Wanda I will find a way to GG's if the need is there...just call me !
with enough notice the deputies will come get the dispatchers and take them home.... not always on time, but pretty safely as they have the four wheel drive vehicles fired up by now no doubt Hope DOH can stay ahead of the weather
Lynne keeping your "baby" in my prayers !
Jo - Loved the Izzy tale... hope the Brady Bunch is all well-settled in now
I can't see much at all on the nest will bring live feed up for awhile
Suzan, Mai has not had any trouble with housetraining at all. Can count on one hand the number of accidents in the house......SharPei are VERY easy to housebreak. Too bad she doesn't learn other things as easily!!!!
Andy, please tell hubby Happy Birthday from me, too!!! 70----wow, a spring chicken!
Wanda, Mai has let me know many times when she needs to go out. Most of the time I stay on top of it before she KNOWS she has to go! But this WAS the second time that she went to the sunroom door....and 1st time that she WENT DOWN THE OUTSIDE STEPS!!!! They are steep and she was afraid before. Inside steps to basement are much easier to navigate.....but means a lot of trips for me!
Lynne, sure hoping and praying that the meds help Brother Cat get over whatever the problem is. If it is lymphoma, what is the prognosis? Think positively that it ISN'T!
Freezing rain and sleet here. Kathryn just got home from picking up a prescription for Luna. Glad she is back.
Twenty-eight degrees and raining. The prescription was almost 20 dollars higher at Walgreens than at Walmart. I was afraid that she would regret not paying the extra twenty.
Nest is showing better and better (live) now that there's snow in it!
Andy.....does your semester break start at the end of the week? GLad you are getting away, but know you will miss Miss Perfect. Can you tell how jealous I am????!!!! Hope that HER resort continues with her training!
Megan, ask Russ if he knew Keith Henry....a very good floor mechanic(independent) who sometimes worked for Bill. Only 53....passed away late last week. He installed Christie's carpet.
You are cold and having snow, it is 50 here and for some reason I can not get warm tonight. I am chilled! Sitting here with a fire but can not get warm~! Brrrrr!
Shirley, you are so right. That is not how I meant that statement to be interpreted. I do not want Mai to attack Lynn's extremeties anymore. Lynn, apologies toy you too.
Am glad that Mai has been easy to house train. That's always a plus.
For those of you experiencing winter precip, please be careful and stay home if you can.

Hi Eagle fans.
Just checking in and got to see Lib at his favorite spot.
There are two eagles at BWE at the moment.
The weather doesn't sound so great.
The skies are gray and all the little birds are chomping up the food out back. Wanda's last trail cam had almost every animal on it that frequents her woods - no cats this time. Just the little stink kitty! lol
Good Morning BEagle.... I thought you would have a day off!
By stink kitty, you must mean the skunk. Skunks are very pretty creatures.
Magpie. Glad you go to see the gyrfalcon on TV no less! I would have loved to see that show with the chickies!
Yes Memajo. A day off to take care of the big laundry piles setting here.
My bro and I were trying to figure out the differences between hawks, falcons, and eagles.
Lily just gave a good shake-off and then was vocal - sounds as though Hope is nursing... Not sure.
Hi, I am back. Dropped George off a the vets for the day. They will check his bladder and finish his shots.
Cold and cloudy here. Looks like it could snow at any moment.
Two little chicks getting fed at NC
Noise at Lily's Den - sounds like she is singing and then a big huff
lol Hope the new cub(s) come soon. I just don't know what to expect from
Hope. Other bears have had a yearling in the den when new cubs were born... We just don't know how that worked..
Hello Glo, I am hoping that the time you have had with your son in GA has been memorable. Safe journeys and keep an eye out on the weather. The eagles are waiting for you! ((hugs))
Thanks MeMa JO Yes its been a nice time and we will have a nice seafood supper Wed night. I am so looking forward to that too. :-)
I have had breakfast food so now I best
get my street clothes on...
Keep your ears on Lily's sounds!
Listen for a cub's cry..
BBILW
I'll be heading out for a little while later too.
Sure hope I hear from Vet soon.
Be neat if I could take my laptop and have the nest up. Be there early am when they arrive. So I could see the sky as to what they are seeing and ducking down from.
Don't know how to do something like that though.
I will check some websites or you can:
pbs.org
Search for White Falcon, White Wolf Ellesmere Island
and watch what comes up, you might be able to find it locally again soon...
and you will see some pictures on those links for sure
Nice of Hedgie to offer to go shopping for us locals!
Thanks Lynn !
Grateful remembrances to Martin Luther King, on this, Martin Luther King Day
He did a great deal for this country and died entirely too early
Yes, you are right, Margy.
much moving around and purring at bear den.
Suzan, nice avatar !
Lolly glad your birthday celebration was good !
okay time for 52-pick up here
ttfn xo
Eagle alert! Our nest.
Well, there IS an eagle in the nest
Both!!!
I need parental controls !
I see those TWO rascals
Poof one.
Morning, all.
Thanks for the eagle in the nest heads up...need something to brighten my day! Lousy Monday...
Think that's Belle
BBL.
Glo ENJOY THAT SEAFOOD TONIGHT!! (:
Prayers for when you heading back for a SAFE JOURNEY for you and Dex.
Anyone need anything from the store. I will be near one??????
I wonder if there might be another egg show up at BWE.
I noticed when the NC mama was feeding the little ones, the big chick seems to get the most food. But mama makes sure the little one gets some too.
Cute.
Not able to get the KIDs nest up or the Duke nest for a couple of days.
Now the Turtle Creek won't come up. :(
Thanks Dana -
but I'm okay
nest is MT
The WE cam is now kiddywampus. I have yet to see any eagle at the PH nest this season. Maybe I will catch them soon.
I don't think there will be much activity at the WE nest for a few days since the human was on there.

Our nest is temporarily empty. I am sure it will fill up again soon.
There are two eagles on the TH nest..sticking around.
God bless Martin Luther King and his family.
What a great civil rights leader and American he was!!
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Is that 82? The other does not have a tag. Is there another mate change on the Channel Island nests?
Both eagles at TH working on the nest. Now one left, maybe to get more sticks.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Good morning! Yes, I know, it is afternoon for most of you. Was up late and slept late. Have been monitoring Lily as I read the paper and had my coffee.
Last night her muscles were contracting. You could see them moving. She was not actually moving but you could certainly see the muscles contracting. She had really been restless this morning and Hope constantly suckling. This birth is certainly going to be interesting.
Beagle, I haven't heard of a change at TH ... as recently as last night.
Let's take another look when that one returns and see if there are wing tags.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Jim. What were the tag numbers at the TH nest.
The one that flew off first did not have a tag on it's left wing. Doesn't mean there wasn't one on the other wing.
Honey is out at the pond.........
There's no mention of a change at TH on their blog either, Beagle.
#81 -- male
#82 -- female
You can look above the cam screen and find the "facts."
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Uh-oh. I better get caught up at the Channel Island cams. It looks like a re-nesting at PH.
I have the triple screen page with all three nests. I will probably pull it down and put them up individually again.
The triple screen doesn't give that info, but the chat is fun and informative.
Yeah, Beagle, I also was just reading the "Headline News" (no details) that the PH pair have built a new nest.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Lily the Black Bear
Lynn Rogers and I are watching with interest and waiting like everyone else. Hope sure complicates things, doesn’t she? We don’t see any definite signs of labor yet, but her increased activity level is of interest. The wait is on. -- SM
Also they are calling the unmarked eagle #81. It doesn't have tags and I think it is assumed it's #81.
They have spotted #01 at the WE nest so there may be continuing battle between #01 and #51 as to who mans the nest.
I certainly will miss the PH nest though. It was colorful and interesting to watch.
Maybe that fox that started to climb into the nest last year caused the change. Who knows.
Beagle, there's an eagle with no apparent tags on TH now.
But the blog has pictures of both tagged members of the nest this morning. So, ??????????????
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
I think K-51 is history at WE. Just a matter of time until K-01 and Wray get back together and start a clutch.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Too much activity here and on cams....I'm getting bogged down!!
Lily seems calm now.
Our nest is empty.
Glo, sorry about your decision. What kind of seafood dinner is planned for Weds. night??
Gotta get some lunch! And read emails!
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Thanks for the positive updates. I did see a video of 82 and the unmarked eagle. It was titled something like "Bonding at the TH Nest-NOT!"
heh heh heh.
The PH nest had me fooled because I could see new green foliage at the nest but never saw hide nor hair of an eagle.
You're a very good girl Ms Mai
Hedgie. I think Mai is getting the idea. How are the gashes?
BTW, Dana...you WOULD have your MONITOR---it's attached!!! What you wouldn't have is an internet connection unless you lucked into an unprotected one somewhere---or went to Daily Grind or McD's.
Hunter says that Hope's purring sounds like a helicopter.
tHEY'RE expecting eggs to hatch at Phoebe's, and the cam is in a very close-up mode this morning.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
NC chicks are eating again.
The little one was under the bigger one. Now it is up there for the grab too! he he he
Yea for Mai!! I'm habby if you're habby, Lynn, :)
Later, Gators!
Oh Lolly, you are going to work in the garden? Now I am jealous. It's only 28° here.
Everyone is habby! LOL
Back to laundry
BEagle, the article about the Bluestone/New River Gorge eagle count is in our paper today. Best count they've had so far, it says!!!!
Beagle, I asked about K-81 on the Channel Island blog:
Jim ... K-81 has lost the bling on his right wing ... but still has the bling on his left.
Several of the eagle males on Catalina belong to the 'Left Wing-Bling Only' Club.
The blings do degrade .. but can last up to 10 years .. and eventually fall off the birds.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Later, Gators.
I'm behind on so many things, I think I'll forget them all ... or rename them starting with "new..." Then I'll just start over.
Hahahaha. I've gotta at least eat using the old names though.... see you later.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Yay!! Susan is coming home on Wednesday. She does not have H1N1 after all. The doctor agrees that she would be much sicker if she did.
EAGLE just flew into the nest!
And flew out to the left.
Eagle back again
Flew out and back again. Think it's Belle now, but not positive
Working on the egg cup.
Great news, Shirley.
I see that eagle in the nest...
Not sure when or if I will ever get my FB account back....been reading nothing but horror stories on people who have been "temporarily disabled" .... no one at facebook answers your emails....
I think that's Lib...
Well then there he goes. Sorry about your facebook issues.
Eagle gone!
Thanks, Megan....I'll keep plugging away at it...
Shirley, great news for sure!!!! Know you can't wait!! Hope you have a local drs. apptmt. arranged for Th.!
Jim, Jim....what is it that you are forgetting????
Hey, TV buddies----HOUSE is back tonight!!!
Both eagles! with food I think
Yes, eagle up bu cam eating something. Belle eating I think.
Eagle alert! Both!
Food.
One eagle flew out, one still eating
Yummies!
Looks positively yummy.
Jo, we think alike.
Shirley - Very happy for you! But probably not as happy as Susan is to know she is headed home........
I betcha that tomorrow morning we will bet a new thread from Steve.....
We best better!
Belle is really really hungry
Lib is back - He best go get her some more to eat!
The two little NC chicks are getting some supper. They are both getting their share looks like.
Belle left & Lib is on his perch
BEagle - feeding of 2 or 3 chicks is an art for the adults! Our Lib and Belle was great at it. Sometimes the older and larger eaglet got fed first and a lot so that he would be filled and then the younger one(s) would be fed. I remember that we had both parents doing the feeding before at one time. It's interesting!
MemaJo. It will be nice to see more than one hatch this year. I bet it is absolutely amazing to watch these two with more than one.
afternoon all!
Praying that the news is not bad, Lynne.
Lynne, hope things will be not so bad w/the vet. xxoo
Lynne, hoping for the best possible news from the vet... I know you will
accept it no matter what it is.
((hugs))
Prayers for you and your kitties, Lynne.
Good evening everyone.
Kathryn will be home soon. I am playing homemaker today.
Sorry, Megan, worked outside all afternoon. In now and need to clean up. It really wasn't fun work, mostly cleaning up. It looks a lot better and we will work again tomorrow. When the sun would peek out it almost felt warm. However, sun is hiding now and I was getting chilled.
Shirley, so happy for you and Susan that she is coming home Wednesday. Wahoo! Too bad her trip had to end this way.
still waiting.....UGH
Hope Dana has had some news on L-Man by now.
Susan is coming home? Sorry I missed where that may have been posted but I am very glad she will be on her way soon.
Yay!
SO I was really PO'd when Oprah bought the Discovery Health Channel and it's gone now. BUT....there is a new channel! Discovery Fit and Health, beginning on Feb 1
Discovery Fit and Health Channel
Where to find DF & H channel with your provider
THAT was a very short visit...only one and I am not sure which one it was !
woulda posted when eagle showed up but live feed reallly slows down my computer
but the evening is not over yet
Okay I read Susasn is coming home...have to backtrack multiple posts
I'm only 1 hr late but
Hello T-Bird
Yah, new thread will be most welcome...
figure Steve has the day off...maybe Mrs. Steve said No Computer today, Mister!
Hello Eagle pals...
xo
sure hope to hear your report soon Lynne, but even more hopeful it will not be sad/bad news
That's cool about your SIL and granddaughter Jess searching for AND finding you Lynn ! ☺ ♥
Hedgie stopped by my roost last week and noticed how sad and sorry my little patio garden looks...
can't wait 'til Springtime !!!
OOOOOOOOO Mystery Diagnosis!! I've had EVERY disease on there!! LOL!!
Margy, lots of gardens look sorta sad this time of year. Just trying today to make my sad yard look a wee bit neater. Did notice that my daffodils are starting to send up buds. :)
Lynne, you still have not talked with the vet?
no, Lolly, still waiting. She is still at the clinic, though. I just talked to my friend Gail, her mother, and the kids are still with her. They had a really busy day with some emergencies.
2114 viewers on Lily's cam.
Quiet now - hope they are sleeping
Sounds like a good, sound, heartfelt plan, Dana....
hope Little Man continues to improve
Shirley
very very good to read, no H1N1 for Susan and that she will be home soon....sure there is a song in your heart tonight ♪♪
like that, Hunter's comment about Lily's purring sounding like a helicopter...
speaking of which there is a trauma fly-out in the Hedgesville area right now...I don't have any details
Thanks Margy taken it one day at a time.
Susan is not coming home early, just on-time. The quarantine would have caused her to stay later.
Good Evening everyone.
Shirlet, such good news that Susan is coming home and also that she does not have H1N1. Double relief.
For those that have under the weather furry family memebers, I hope they all will get positive reports and may only be suffering from a little cabin fever.
Lynn, you must be very proud that Mai is getting house trained. She is growing up! Now if we can only train her to dislike your extremeties!
George is spending the night at the vets because he produced no urine for them to test today. It seems that's not unusual.
lots of new photos in the E-M album..including one by edgy_su entitled "Belle & Lib Praying" taken, I think around 1:30 - right now is the next to last photo in the album for this month
It's a Must See
Hmm, don't want her to dislike Lynn's extremities. We want her to refrain from attacking them.
Susan sent that pic out in the Momsters mail first. Great caption she had - The family that prays together stays together. She asked for directions to place in E_M album and she had no problem at all.
Margy the one about our eagles praying came through on email. I love how Susan TITLED that one ( :
sorry to hear that, Shirley, hope George will "perform" Tuesday...guess it changes the animal dynamics a good bit with one creature missing
Just before White Falcons, White Wolves on PBS last night there was an awesome special featuring Les Paul for his 90th birthday....
he has since passed away, but it was something to see!
okay sorry to eat up so much precious blog space...will step away for awhile
ok, thanks Dana and Jo...have not been to that program this afternoon yet...
Susan I like your avatar.
Shirley glad Suzan's trip was not cut short.
Margy your not eating up blog space. Gal get back in here. We've gone over 1000 before.
Hi, Everyone,
It's been another busy day at this roost.
Shirley, sorry George wouldn't pee for the vet!
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your hubby Andy!
Just read that Baby Mai told her momma she had to potty...sucessss!
Wanda - once I was also asked to give a sample along with my one blood test.
Finally I said "give me the bottle - I'm going home and I'll send it back to you later!" I also empty my bladder before I leave my house. I had no idea whatsoever that they were going to ask me for a sample....
light snow falling now
Happy Birthday to Andy's Man !!
I'll take S--w more so than sleet/icy
rain!!!! But Lynne - you can really keep it right there!
Happy 70th to Andy's Hubby
The snow is going to turn to rain and ice they say.
Anyone having to be out there or heading home. Prayers for SAFE TRAVELS.
Mai and Emma have good reports and So does Izzy......
The little accomplishments in life. Elizabeth went into the bathroom and unzipped her sleeper PJ's and climbed onto the toilet all by her self. It was the first time she has ever gotten onto the toilet with out a stool or help. Yay!
All 3 are Good Girls !!!
What? Snow?
Hey Lynn, congrats on Mei's potty training breakthrough
Lynne2, sorry about the cat...that there is no diagnosis yet...hope the meds will help...I didn't think they were looking for lymphoma, guess lymphoma presents very differently in dogs and cats...my dog had no diarrhea
Dana, glad Little man is eating and tests came back OK...I agree...leave him be.
Heading home, catch ya'll later
Oh, my cold is much better today!
seems there are all different kinds of lymphoma in cats...his, if it is that, would be intestinal. Glad your cold is better!
snowing hard now!
snowing hard now :(
I'm so conflicted
Snowing here for about 15 minutes now.
MEGAN - turn the heaters in the gh UP
and please keep the snow on your side
of the mountain........... ((hugs))
Taking a brief break..........
Isn't it snowing at your house yet, Jo? Looks like it on the radar. I've had the heater running for a couple of hours, getting the gh plastic warm.
Snowing here in Nestville, too...my car's windshield is covered.
Gonna sit by the fire and watch HOUSE:)
snow at BWE
It is SNOWING here now. Coming down
really fast!!!
Yeah, the radar shows a lot of precip headed at BWE.
I'm afraid to look outdoors, maybe I will cover my car all up with the plastic like last year
Oh Oh, I just DID look outdoors
you guys are good meterologists !
Best wishes with all this Megan, we need your Megan Flowers !!
Thanks, should be fine, not a huge storm. and I'm ordering more seeds right now. Think Spring:)
No Moonlight we cannot see our snowy nest of course !
daggone it for BWE ! Frosty and Snowy or was it Snowflake once again
I still have the cam up and the picture is grainy but I still see the empty nest. You can't tell it's snowing but you could see if an eagle was in the nest.
oh yes, Megan, thinking Spring allrighty !
already offered my plastic to a friend, guess I better wait to see what he says....I'm not supposed to have to go out in this til tomorrow night...
prayers for Midnight Shifter Carolyn later and all evening travelers right now!
Wanda I will find a way to GG's if the need is there...just call me !
Dana, glad test was negative.
Precip has started here....not sure WHAT, but it's cold, windy and something wet is falling!
with enough notice the deputies will come get the dispatchers and take them home....
not always on time, but pretty safely as they have the four wheel drive vehicles fired up by now no doubt
Hope DOH can stay ahead of the weather
Lynne
keeping your "baby" in my prayers !
Jo - Loved the Izzy tale...
hope the Brady Bunch is all well-settled in now
I can't see much at all on the nest will bring live feed up for awhile
ttfn xox
Suzan, Mai has not had any trouble with housetraining at all. Can count on one hand the number of accidents in the house......SharPei are VERY easy to housebreak. Too bad she doesn't learn other things as easily!!!!
Who woulda thunk that a cat would have a shy bladder??? Better luck tomorrow, Shirley!
Suzan.....I want to steal your avatar!!!!!
Alright, Izzy!!!! Big girl now! That high commode must be as daunting as steep steps!
okay Megan, I see that snowy NCTC nest on the live feed
Lynne, sure hoping and praying that the meds help Brother Cat get over whatever the problem is. If it is lymphoma, what is the prognosis? Think positively that it ISN'T!
Freezing rain and sleet here. Kathryn just got home from picking up a prescription for Luna. Glad she is back.
Twenty-eight degrees and raining. The prescription was almost 20 dollars higher at Walgreens than at Walmart. I was afraid that she would regret not paying the extra twenty.
Yes, the snow is really showing in the nest now.
Both the still and live cams are good.
Thankful we don't yet have any egg(s)
You are cold and having snow, it is 50 here and for some reason I can not get warm tonight. I am chilled! Sitting here with a fire but can not get warm~! Brrrrr!
Okay Lynn, I'll ask him tomorrow. He's already asleep. Hoping the snow is gonna slide off the gh so I don't have to go out and sweep it.
I see the snow on the nest.,
Bears
C'mon folks...time to get over the 800 hump!!
Oh yes, the nest has lightened up with the snow.
Snowed all the way home...not looking forward to the ice.
Let's go to the SPLIT
Happy Birthday to Andy's hubby!
