I dunno Lynn. Irritable Bowel Disease would seem unlikely to have a sudden onset like this. The only way to know for sure would be to do a surgical biopsy of the intestines. But this is one of those things where, if you know, it's not really going to change things all that much. There are chemo drugs that could prolong his life by a few weeks or a few months. I will not put him through surgery and recovery. The goal will be to make him comfortable. Hopefully, the pred, antibiotics and new diet will get the diarrhea under control.
Yeah, Jo, sort of, but went from being a boss to a helper, tough adjustment, but it's getting better. And he hasn't smoked a cigarette in just over 4 months, he quit cold turkey.
Megan, so happy that he found a job. Hopefully some day he will get back to doing what he likes best and be his own boss once again. Thrilled that he is no longer smoking and quitting cold turkey shows just how intelligent he is. It is just so expensive but sooo not good for you!
Thanks all. Trust me we are both grateful for the work and the money. The construction trades are all still hurting here, we have lots of friends who are still hurting for work. It is still snow here, only about half an inch, but a wet, heavy snow.
Megan, Dan Ryan is building at least 4 new houses right across the road from our house. If Russ needs extra work, maybe they could use him when they get to the inside work.
Megan I am so happy Russ has found something. You all deserve "good things in your life". As far as quit smoking I can't say enough about HOW GREAT THAT IS FOR HIM......PROUD OF HIM!!! I remember in 1989 when Ed tossed them and quit..a good day in our life.
Lynne2 prayers for your kitty....
Shirley I just never could go away and leave my doggies some place. I just heard to many stories. If I was going to have a good time and them not so good I just couldn't do it. Last time when we went some-where we had a hotel that was pet friendly. It was so nice to be able to have him with us. Then when we went to Florida in the RV we had the cat, and 2 dogs. I was happy as can be to have them with me. Felt so good knowing they were under my care.
So glad you found a place you are happy with for this time.
Prayers for those that need them. Prayers for all kitties and doggies that aren't feeling well. Prayers for safety in driving and walking outside.
Take care and stay warm everyone.
Prayers for all eagles on nest that are in snow or sleet.
Evening! No snow here---stupid freezing rain or maybe sleet. On deck, what's landed has frozen, but on concrete, it's melted! DUH. Reading about people & animal ailments. Glad most people are feeling better, & sorry, Lynne, still no diagnosis for Bro.Cat. Sure hope meds help. Dana, glad Little Man is doing pretty good--think you're right to leave him alone for now. And Ms. Mai was a star pupil today! Gotta do hair, so if I don't get back, Pleasant Feather Dreams to all hitting the hay ;>)
pictures are in Fun and Dandy Link... first run through was just a wee bit too "busy" so I scaled back and put just the fun stuff in there for now, you know, Ernie, Barney, Snoopy, Smurf, Micky Mouse...
will redo with the fancy stuff another time
Notice, Wanda...the "big" fireman and one of the little ones (the girl with puppy) in the back have the "1" on the helmet
Jo, I had read the article about NBG. Interesting that they built another nest in the same area. They are near a good fishing spot! Can't wait til that camera is turned on!
Jo, no it it is raining but no ice nor snow. That was last week. Supposed to be wet here most of the week. Am sorry you guys have that mess now. It can be so dangerous. Hope everyone is careful and also have alternative SAFE heat resource.
Great link to the NBG blog with lots of nice pics Jo. The new cam view looks great and the color is nice too. They say the launch date is tomorrow, the 18th!
Yes, I see that on the link Jo posted too. Have to check it out tomorrow. Wish I could go to sleep. Think I have to stay awake and clean off gh one more time.
WVEC page wouldn't stop loading, and then I got the error message too. Maybe they are just trying it out. Guess we'll find out in the morning. Later- going back outside, then lay down for a couple of hours.
Cool! Thanks for the link, Lolly....saved me from searching my favs!
Yes, Jo, Mai is down for now. She'll have me up around 3!
Still waiting to hear that Carolyn made it to work safely----Charlie was supposed to take her----if he can be aroused----don't get me started! She was supposed to call when she got there.....guess I have to listen for her on the scanner.
I think I am going to head to the shower. I am about ready to call it a night. I finally got warm, but now I have a head ache. Certainly hope I am just tired and not coming down with something.
Keep hoping to hear the phone ring and learn that I do not have to go in today, but so far no luck. Just a call from another teacher trying to figure out what we are supposed to do. She is a long-term sub and not on the calling list. Culpeper seems to think that they do not need to put the info on the television, radio, or computer, just the phone.
Yeah, I will need to call Hunter's sitter and take him there.
I have so many research papers to take in that I would not be able to get them into the building in one load, but just figured out that all I need to do is put them in my gradebook, which I can do here. I have no desire to walk across the parking lot twice carrying a big load of papers.
Woke up with a fresh, positive attitude about Mai and me.....trying something new....so far she is doing well. Guedss I better start in on the decks....think it's going to be awhile before I make the newspaper trek.
I'm in no hurry, we don't have to go anywhere. Hubby's boss called at 5:30 this morning to tell him they were not opening today. SO far he has just shoveled the bird feeding spots so we could feed them.
Well I see we have had no nest visits by our pair this morning. But I do see movement on the cam. In the upper left hand corner there is an arched branch and on the underside of the right side, there is a tiny leaf or debris moving.
I've been up, looking at the nest since 7am...as you can see, no visitors...what wimps our Royal Couple are! It is supposed to go up to 41° here in Nestville, so maybe they will make an appearance when the snow starts to melt.
NBG is beautiful...first I have checked in on them, this year.
Need to keep a close eye on Lilly, it is getting close for her. So anxious to see what happens with HOPE:)
Megan, the builders and construction workers, ACROSS THE ROAD have not shown up for work, so, I guess it is a snow day for them. Wish they would stay away FOREVER. The noise is continually annoying ALL DAY LONG. They don't blast anymore, they DRILL...BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Fight! Belle just snatched a stick away from Lib. He patiently tried to help her put it where SHE wants it, and she hollered and pecked at him! And he just kept on helping!!
Changes for me - I accepted a job with a different transcription company, starts February 7. Hopefully my butt will be able to get back on track with a fresh start.
Good Chilly Morning! Your comments are so appreciated and my feet are freezing after watching Lib & Belle in the nest. Lots of stick moving! NBG Awesome coverage
My wildlife inventory: Mourning doves, titmice, nuthatch, cardinals, dark-eyed juncos, red-bellied woodpecker, downy woodpecker, blue jays, white-throated sparrows, turkey vulture flew overhead, 1 squirrel and A DAMN RAT!!! I need the hawk to come and take care of the rat but not the squirrel.
Love the NBG cam. The light we saw ast night is up on that hill. LOL Do not think it is the airport.
Was hoping for another day to work outside but once again it is gloomy. We have today and tomorrow and then another front hits us Thursday. They did say the snow or whatever will stay north of us. Are you going to be getting more?
Sharon, congrats on the new job! Working out your notice with the old company?? Were you and Sissy working for the same place? I know she almost changed but they made it worth her while not to.....hope the new one is a good fit for you!
I bought birdseed yesterday and filled the lighhouse feeder that Frank&Irene gave me for Christmas. So far the birds haven't found it. But saw where a woodpecker (probably a pileated) did a number on a tree out front----debris all over the top of the snow.
Judie, so sorry you have to work today. Hope that your days of medicating have helped and that today won't be too bad. Darth playing chauffeur??
If I had half a chance to see a piliated woodpecker in my yard, I would do nothing all day except watch for it. LOL
Nothing much going on with the cams. Guess I will get up and start my day. Whoops, have half a mug of coffee left. Guess I will sit here a wee bit longer.
We never see or hear our pileated 'peckers in the Winter monthe. We were just discussing whether or not they migrate...then, I decided they only call out their "TATTTTTTTTTTTT" VOCALS when they are courting and nesting and raising their babies. We don't see them as often as I would like, but it sure is a treat when we do:)
I saw my second piliated when we were on our way home and stopped in Virginia. We were setting up the trailer when I heard a racket. I looked up and a piliated was flying over. Jack did not see it, but heard it. That was the first time to hear one.
I just spoke to our Pastor and he suggested we call off our Soup Kitchen meeting tonight, because it is suppose to rain and will probable freeze. The meeting was to discuss anything that our helpers think needs to be changed or ANYTHING they may have on their minds. We are hoping for some helpful input, although Gene and I think things have been running smoothly...but it is important to hear others thoughts. I wanted to discuss my suggestion of a Clothes Closet, but I guess I will have to wait. DARN! I was all geared up for this!
Lolly, on the Sutton site they say that the eagles are refurbishing another nest along with this one but that it does not look like they, (the eagles) have made a decision yet.
The eagle cam is now live for the 2011 nesting season.
You may notice a few changes with the cam this year:
1. The view is different since the cam was moved to see into the new nest located near Renaissance Court. 2. The viewing screen is bigger this year. 3. There is a new video player streaming the video. It requires an Adobe Flash Player. If you do not already have the flash player, a link is provided for you to easily download one. 4. The WVEC.com/eaglecam page refreshes after one hour and requires you to click the play button to restart the video stream. 5. To the right of the cam is the moderated discussion about activity at the nest 6. Just below the moderated discussion are samples from the most recent posts made by the biologists at the Viriginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) and the Center for Conservation Biology at William & Mary (CCB). 7. WVEC.com/eaglecam continues to post slideshows and links to other resources for eagle watchers.
We hope you enjoy watching the eagles this year. Please visit our eagle cam web page to learn more about the eagles and Norfolk Botanical Garden.
The eagle cam is provided through a partnership between Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF), Norfolk Botanical Garden and WVEC.
Just talked with Michael. He is at work on the 42 floor of his building. They moved recently. Glad of that. His previous bldg had had two bomb threats, one of which was big time on the natl. news.
Did you see that Norfolk is on-line this morning?? Both eagles were working on the nest a minute ago.
Weather here is variable ... back and forth between cool and humid and warm and dry, sometimes with the desert winds... No rain predicted for the near future.

Megan, is Russ working??? Hope he found something good that pays well!
He's been working for about 4 months. Got hired by a local company. He had done flooring jobs in the past for them.
Megan that news is good! I bet his morale has been 'up'.
glad Russ is working Megan!
Sleet mixing in with our snow now.
Yeah, Jo, sort of, but went from being a boss to a helper, tough adjustment, but it's getting better. And he hasn't smoked a cigarette in just over 4 months, he quit cold turkey.
WHOA! He quite cold turkey? WOW! Did something prompt that decision?
Yeah, many things, but mostly lack of funds to buy them.
HOORAY FOR MR. MEGAN!!!
That is great Megan - I hope he stays away from them... Good for his health
I think I am getting a mix now of some
sleety snow.......
Going to watch one of the new shows at 10....
BBL
HOORAY FOR ELIZABETH "IZZY"...GONNA BE WEARING BIG GIRL PANTS NOW:)
Thanks:) I think it's in his past for good.
I think it's still snow here, gonna have to go out and take a look. The dog says he'll go with me.
wish Steve would quite.
Well good people, I'm heading to bed. Be safe if you go out. Prayers for all.
Oh, Megan, good news on both fronts!!! So glad to hear that kind of news!!! Remind Russ that sometimes being a peon is BETTER than being a boss!!!!
Megan, so happy that he found a job. Hopefully some day he will get back to doing what he likes best and be his own boss once again. Thrilled that he is no longer smoking and quitting cold turkey shows just how intelligent he is. It is just so expensive but sooo not good for you!
BBL....tub time!
Wahoo that's awesome Megan! Bravo to Russ !
Lady Blackwater and the two egglets all tucked in for the night no more cam views until we see what the snow has done overnight there come 5 am
Love the view at our nest...but...don't really want snow too often to make that view possible !!!
Good news on all fronts, Megan!
For those of you who know Dustin...check him out on my SMILES:) BLOG to see what he has been up to, lately:)
Lady BW is tenting, have not seen that for a looong time
Thanks all. Trust me we are both grateful for the work and the money. The construction trades are all still hurting here, we have lots of friends who are still hurting for work.
It is still snow here, only about half an inch, but a wet, heavy snow.
Isn't it nice to hear good things happening on here tonight?
Those are great pictures of Dustin, Wanda. You should be proud, he's a great kid.
Megan, Dan Ryan is building at least 4 new houses right across the road from our house. If Russ needs extra work, maybe they could use him when they get to the inside work.
They probably have crews of guys, Wanda, but thanks. Because he is now an employee, not a subcontractor, he gets 40 hours most weeks.
Wanda that is really great about Dustin!
I had my magnifying glass out but cannot read the company name, same as Jillian's?? and could you repeat that name for me here?
Funny, after unChristmasing my little miniature room box, I am filling it up with fire department things, almost finished !
NBG Eagle cam is supposed to be up at end of January, beginning of February.
Congratulations to Dustin!

Great to hear about NBG. Have missed swaying in the breeze. LOL
Margy, we will need a picture of this new room.
Well, being an employee and not a sub is good for several reasons....
Think we have almost an inch...still snowing
Night Dana.
Just sent my 16th email to facebook about my account...sigh
Does Facebook respond to your emails?
Can't wait to see NBG cam again.
Good night, friends. I will see you tomorrow. Eight more papers to grade. But I am very tired.
Already have an inch of snow here.
Nest looks really neat now----lightwise, that is!
Wow, the nest looks like daylight.
That's funny, Lynn. We were looking at the nest and thinking the same thing,
Dana, it's Andy who's putting Emma in a pet hotel, not Shirley!
Wow, NBG will probably have eggs already by then.....what are they waiting for????
Wanda, great that Dustin is getting involved. Is he Jillian's brother?
Megan, nope not one answer yet. I read you have to keep emailing and begging them to restore your account
Okay Lolly, since you asked ☺
pictures are in Fun and Dandy Link...
first run through was just a wee bit too "busy" so I scaled back and put just the fun stuff in there for now, you know, Ernie, Barney, Snoopy, Smurf, Micky Mouse...
will redo with the fancy stuff another time
Notice, Wanda...the "big" fireman and one of the little ones (the girl with puppy) in the back have the "1" on the helmet
Well that stinks about FB.
I wondered why NBG hadn't started their cam yet also. Seems late this year.
Andrea
Happy the Big 7-oh Birthday for Ken!
Hope this has been a great birthday...his "first" with Emma ☺
And by the way, Andy, that Glass Magic hint you gave works wonders at our hardwater office dishwasher
Thanks !!
sorry I coudn't find Oscar the Grouch in a firetruck Megan...
That's okay, Margy:) that's a cute display.
Snowing really hard here now. What a pain.
recroo!!!!!!!! What I had to type to leave a comment, Margy. LOL Love your collection! Thanks for the picture!
Lily has been very quiet this evening.
CCB Eagle Nest Blog - NBG new nest
This may be helpful reading
Lynn, have you seen the blue logo? I like this one too because of the lighthouse.
Love the display, Margy.
Wow Suzan - took me a second look to see the lighthouse duhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Love the logo
Jo, I had read the article about NBG. Interesting that they built another nest in the same area. They are near a good fishing spot! Can't wait til that camera is turned on!
Old pal and I used to collect these things...I got some of them....
I need to repaper the room box !
sometimes I put my glass birds in there and other times the miniature furniture
Thanks folks for your kind comments
going to hit the sack soon, want to get up early and watch the snowy nest
Megan sure hope the snow doesn't give you and your greenhouse any problems...
Good Night everyone,
Prayers for Us and Our Families, Friends, and our pets
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
I sure hope Mai went out on her own and can get back up the steps.
Love that new OBX sign...bet my Karla will come home with one on her window, next visit:)
Suzan - hope the weather is dry down there...... I haven't looked at any
weather maps.....
Magpie, I love them They are so cute and make for a happy space.
Just checked out the Live Feed
Boy lots of snow in our nest!
Ok folks gotta hit it nere, catch ya'll tomorrow.
Hugs to all ♥
I'll be anxious to see NBG
Hope they have the same Zoomers as
before!
Oh, Suzan, that's the one I have in a bumper sticker!!! Love it, too!!
Margy, glad you posted the pics---cute as can be!
Yes, I see that on the link Jo posted too. Have to check it out tomorrow. Wish I could go to sleep. Think I have to stay awake and clean off gh one more time.
Jo, do you think they are saying that the cam will go online tomorrow????
I think that is what they meant
After all, they have had HP and NBG usually has an egg laid before us.
Is Mai settled for the nite??
NBG cam is up and running now, of course it is dark and you can hardly make it out.
What the link Lolly?
NBG CAM
I can see a star twinkling lol
Lolly's right, on the WVEC.com site, the NBG cam is up and running.
I got an error the second time - I think we all tried and over loaded it!
lol
Is that a light from an airport near by
Can hardly wait to see it tomorrow.
I am not going out to the gh with you so therefore I can go to bed!
Good Night and Prayers for All
Hugs to all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I think Suz will stay home tomorrow..
Problem I am having is I get NBG up on a tab, go to our blog to make a comment, and when I go back it is no longer there. Have to start it up again,
WVEC page wouldn't stop loading, and then I got the error message too.
Refreshed and got the NBG cam back up. Really is too dark to see the nest.
You're quite welcome, Lynn, but Jo posted the link. LOL
Okay...just heard her. I can go to bed now. Sleep tight all....stay warm. Hope no one has to venture out too early tomorrow.
Yes, Suz said she was going to stay home!!!
Prayers and peace.
I think I am going to head to the shower. I am about ready to call it a night. I finally got warm, but now I have a head ache. Certainly hope I am just tired and not coming down with something.
Night all! Sweet dreams!
No eagles so far this morning. Just snow.
Have a nice day. ♥
Good Morning BEagle and Eagle Friends...
I can baretly see the STill cam updating (I think) NBG looks beatiful
and Blackwater looks okay too
EAGLE AT NORFOLK RIGHT NOW !
and they're zooming on one soggy looking beautiful eagle at NBG
the chat comments make a noise when they are added...
Be careful travellers,
Paula looks like a slippery route for you
Hope you all can see Norfolk...link is posted several comments backwards
Good morning,
Everything is covered with ice around here.
Good morning everyone. Entering a busy time for me now. Got to think, organize and pack. Stay warm and safe everyone.
Norfolk (male eagle) flew out
I think Blackwater just switched parents at the roost
Best wishes with all that Glo...
check in when you can before you blast off
no feetie prints, no eagles our nest, sure is hard to tell if the cams are refreshing - Hope So !
Going to add one Norfolk Eagle Pic to my Magpie's Roost blog....
will be up in a minute...
Hope the day is good for everyone, good and SAFE !
ttfn xo
Keep hoping to hear the phone ring and learn that I do not have to go in today, but so far no luck. Just a call from another teacher trying to figure out what we are supposed to do. She is a long-term sub and not on the calling list. Culpeper seems to think that they do not need to put the info on the television, radio, or computer, just the phone.
That's crazy Shirley!
I saw that it wasn't on the tickers...did see that Spotsylvania County is closed
Hope you don't have to go in !
remember that Norfolk cam
eagle perched up to the left of the nest now
scroll back to Jo's post at 11:51 pm for the site
Yeah, I will need to call Hunter's sitter and take him there.
I have so many research papers to take in that I would not be able to get them into the building in one load, but just figured out that all I need to do is put them in my gradebook, which I can do here. I have no desire to walk across the parking lot twice carrying a big load of papers.
Eagle at NBG just flew out. They are moving the cam around showing some of the gardens.
Wish our nest wasn't full of snow. Only 24° here now.
Snowy morning greetings from Hedgesville. We have about 3" of snow. Not currently doing anything.
Doesn't look like anyone has been in our nest. And Norfolk is absolutely beautiful! Saw that lovely zoom you did, Margy!!
BWE doesn't look like they got snow. Don't see ice, either. Fortunate for them!!!
Shirley, sure hope you don't have to go out! Does Hunter have school?
eagle in the fog at Osprey platform - saying prayers I think
but I just lost that link
I am really wondering...the view on our still cam is the very same as 90 minutes ago :(
and not a twig is stirring on the live feed
'Morning Megan and Lynn....
Is Charlie taking Carolyn home Lynn?
Woke up with a fresh, positive attitude about Mai and me.....trying something new....so far she is doing well.
Guedss I better start in on the decks....think it's going to be awhile before I make the newspaper trek.
Good Morning:)
The snow is covered with a layer of ice. Not going to be easy shoveling.
maybe things will warm up and that would make it easier, hope you and Lynn can put it off awhile Megan
need to get going on the day here...
will be awaitin' on the the eagles meanwhile too
I'm in no hurry, we don't have to go anywhere. Hubby's boss called at 5:30 this morning to tell him they were not opening today.
SO far he has just shoveled the bird feeding spots so we could feed them.
Good icy morning all!
Well I see we have had no nest visits by our pair this morning. But I do see movement on the cam. In the upper left hand corner there is an arched branch and on the underside of the right side, there is a tiny leaf or debris moving.
Glad to see NBG back up an running today!
They don't blast anymore, they DRILL...BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
hmmmm....just realized that BW is frozen......no wonder there's no movement!! Maybe they are getting the ice now.
Both BW cams are working fine for me.
Sorry, Wanda. Maybe you will get a noise free day today.
Wanda....you haven't missed anything at NBG---cause cam just came online today!!!!
Margy, Charlie picked Carolyn up----he has two apptmts. at the VA so they are there now.
Got the small deck done----no ice here. Just wet, heavy snow.
Yes, Lynne, I can see a little movement, too---especially when I take it up to full screen.
EAGLE in our nest!
Eagle dug up leftovers in the nest and is snacking.
Second eagle just flew in. Both in nest.
Whoops, there goes Belle.
And back with a small stick.
They are pulling up nest cup fluff from under the snow.
HP in the snow! and then she gets right back to work on the egg cup.
Well that HP lasted a little longer than usual! :-) Her face digging into the nest.
Yeah, that wasn't the usual quickie:)
Eagles in our nest!
Figure someone has already issued that alert!!!
And BWE is unfrozen!!
Good morning,
Been a painful several days so had to do some serious medication. Therapy yesterday -- more medication -- lots of sleep.
Hope everyone is doing well.
I see our royal pair have continued to do the HP and prepare the nest. Anxiously waiting for egg delivery.
Lynn Rogers says Lily is pregnant. Another milestone coming up.
Have to go to school today. Will try to visit tonight.
Wishing all a lovely day.
Lib is moving the fluff.....making a comfy spot for his gal!
Ha ha -Belle is taking over stick placement.
Fight! Belle just snatched a stick away from Lib. He patiently tried to help her put it where SHE wants it, and she hollered and pecked at him! And he just kept on helping!!
NBG doesn't stay up for terribly long....have to refresh about every 15 mins.
Mai made it down the outdoor steps despite the snow. She stopped and ate a mouthful on each one! Snow beard and mustache!!
There goes Belle. Lib is up on his usual perch on side of nest.
Judie
sorry the last few days have been rough...do you HAVE to go out in this mess ??
Prayers for a better day
and (( hugs ♥ ))
That was a Neat Pair Visit !
but I missed the hanky panky :(
Belle came right back.
Got a coffee request from shoveler outside. be back- keep watching, they are busy this morning.
Belle just about overshot the nest just now.
Changes for me - I accepted a job with a different transcription company, starts February 7. Hopefully my butt will be able to get back on track with a fresh start.
That's some serious re-nestoration going on!
So, are we going for 1000 ☺
Good morning everyone.
Ahhh, two eagles playing in the snow!
We have a beautiful set of eagles this morning. They are working hard.
Good Chilly Morning! Your comments are so appreciated and my feet are freezing
after watching Lib & Belle in the nest.
Lots of stick moving!
NBG Awesome coverage
I love the way we can see the take off and landing.
Good morning! Need to read back and see all comments!
It looks like we are going for a cool K Paula. : )
Certainly wish we could hear the take offs and landings.
Sharon, I love it when they almost overshoot. They look so surprised!
Hi T-Bird
Sharon - Good News! Changes do
rejuvenate attitudes for the better.
You'll do great! Do you still get to
work at home? loL
wow Sharon, that's great! Congrats on the new job!
I see that pretty eagle in the nest!
Lib back with a stick
There went Belle
Well, I'd better go so I can make the dough.
Has anyone have an idea what food that is in the Jordan Lake nest?
See you later, T-Bird
The tree at NBG is going to be a great branching spot for the fledglings, I hope.
And a wren.
Our nest is MT...
Good news, Sharon! Hope the hawk gets the rat, LOL
Mason's improvement
Prayers for Mason and his family as he steadily improves.
Ew! A rat. That is gross.
Thank you! I love to read a Mason update- no matter how hard I try I cannot get those to come to my email anymore.
Big deck is done. Now to trudge out to the paperboxes. Hope the mail has come already...but probably not.
That wasn't too bad....no wind, which helps! Road has not been plowed yet.
The color on the NBG cam is always soooo pretty. Have not seen an eagle yet but have seen the pictures. I am waiting!
My songbirds have not yet ventured up to the feeders-except the titmouse and junco.
Judie - take care venturing out today
Shirley - you do the same!
Sharon, a rat?! I think you told me that and I quietly erased it from my memory. Shoot, fire, fiddle sticks!
I just checked the OK cam. It looks like they have not been working on that nest. Wonder if they have chosen another place?
Yesterday there was some kind of animal poop under our bird feeder. Firgured it was either possum or armadillo and would prefer both to a RAT!
Well, I do not think you need to be out driving at night on ice. Stay home and be warm and cozy.
Two eagles at NBG!
Oh, what a beautiful picture!
Lolly, on the Sutton site they say that the eagles are refurbishing another nest along with this one but that it does not look like they, (the eagles) have made a decision yet.
Yes, you are right, Lolly. I forgot this is Best TV night of the week. We probably would have missed NCIS, at the least!
THANK YOU PASTOR EDDIE;)
Both eagles are in the NBG nest
WVEC is still working on the cam and that is why it could stop.
NBG information
The eagle cam is now live for the 2011 nesting season.
You may notice a few changes with the cam this year:
1. The view is different since the cam was moved to see into the new nest located near Renaissance Court.
2. The viewing screen is bigger this year.
3. There is a new video player streaming the video. It requires an Adobe Flash Player. If you do not already have the flash player, a link is provided for you to easily download one.
4. The WVEC.com/eaglecam page refreshes after one hour and requires you to click the play button to restart the video stream.
5. To the right of the cam is the moderated discussion about activity at the nest

Congratulations Lolly & Jack - Job well done!
Just talked with Michael. He is at work on the 42 floor of his building. They moved recently. Glad of that. His previous bldg had had two bomb threats, one of which was big time on the natl. news.

Great news and great paintings at Mason's site!!
Did you see that Norfolk is on-line this morning?? Both eagles were working on the nest a minute ago.
Weather here is variable ... back and forth between cool and humid and warm and dry, sometimes with the desert winds... No rain predicted for the near future.
C(°?°)3 Jim
Whoops! I am back....my baby
Michael Ellis
He would die if he knew I had posted this. However, we are so proud!
You have every reason to be proud, Lolly.
Warming up here, stuff is melting. Had 2 inches of snow at home with an ice coating, however, only 1 inch here in Frederick.
That's terrific Lolly
