Good Morning Eagle Friends!!! and a fine morning it is. Another sunny day. At work right now. Slow day. Yeepee! (I should whisper)
Sharon - You may have fluid in your ears that causes itching. Try some Sudafed (the one you have to sign for) Be careful, it can make you feel either drowsy or excited.
I am allergic to mold spores so I take it often. It excites me. Boy, I get things done fast when I am on it. weeee! So don't start taking it late in the day until you know. Prayer for you!!!!
GOOD MORNING... That sunrise will, most likely, get prettier and prettier. We were fortunate enough to have spent the night on the edge of the Grand Canyon 10 years ago, in the Eagle Express's predisessor. To awaken in the morning to see that sunrise, while drinking coffee with my parents and Gene was one of the most awesome experiences of my life. Truly takes your breath away! Now, I don't thing a motor home can even drive in that area!
WOO HOO a pair of blue birds were hanging around the dogwood trees yesterday morning...dare I hope it's the same pair from last year? I'll be it is! I took out the old house though, and placed a bluebird house a few yards away in my new front yard. Don't want a repeat of the snake incident from last year. My white throated sparrows departed about 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen the chippys return yet. Still have juncos though but not for long ,I 'm sure.
Megan, I heard phoebes yesterday but just couldn't see the little buggers!
Dana, so sorry about your poor eyes. I sure hope you can get your referral SOON.
Like a lot of you. I can't get our nest up. I see the nest, but when I push play it bobbles from play/pause. when I click on pic it sometimes moves. Kind of like the repeat every so many seconds sites. At least it something. Sure hopes it works right nest week. I pray we get a chick.
You ladies made me curious, so I fired up our live feed with FireFox. And it opened almost instantly, works beautifully this A.M. It does have that buzz though, especially when you have the volume cranked up.
Hello Sunshine! Reading all the comments - Had my call from Germany and they are headed out to Paris and their Disney World for the weekend! Megan That is wonderful news... I'll buy them from you at the April 3rd market - Will you be there - it is a Saturday...?
Morning Everyone!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NORMA'S LAURA!! Getting warm here, have to plant some snowdrops. Guess they like shade. Have to research. Gotta call Dell & see if I can get my money's worth. BBL
I'm back. sorry..had to leave quick. When a student calls, I am there. Wish I could said the same about them. hahah
I have IE at school. Firefox at home. I have better luck at home.
Okay, Truth time. Sometimes when it won't play for me, I find myself clicking on the button, won't play, okay try clicking on Belle, now try just the nest, not yet, try Belle again. How about the tree. Sometimes it comes up, but I know it's not because I clicked the right object. Okay, you can csll the men with the white coats now. LOL
Good morning! My kids are gone. :( Very quiet around here, except for our cam. Buzz is very loud!
Had a glorious time. Now to rest up!
Sun is shining and 51. First tulip opened today. Mine are all bright red. Also, saw where one of the red oaks has "oak worms" all over it. I like to wait until all the oak blossoms (worms) have fallen to put down mulch.
Would ya be likin a wee prayer fer yerself, me friend??
Found this on the Internet yesterday.
An Irish Prayer
May God give you... For every storm, a rainbow, For every tear, a smile, For every care, a promise, And a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, A faithful friend to share, For every sigh, a sweet song, And an answer for each prayer.
Mema Jo. Thank you for the site. He is soooo cute.I have never seen a eagle nest on the ground
Lolly, I can relate with the rain. We now have a pond in our back yard, not to mention the B - word. I have talked about it so much I don't want to said it anymore until it is positive.
Jim, thank you for The Irish Prayer. That's a keeper
well then, all of your fancy talk of cocker spaniels had CURSED ME.
Just pulling into my drive, saw small black dog wandering in street, risked life and limb trying to save her from being killed and she is now on my porch. She is either very cubby or very pregnant. She is not young, maybe middle aged. Has what appears to be an open abrasion wound on top of her front paw. Given I have never seen her before and this rural area, I am guessing she is a dump. UGH
Daisy is DYING to meet her! But I think since I don't know if she may have worms, or may not be vaccinated that it's best I keep them apart for now. My vet has graciously offered to do an exam this evening. I'm not sure what to do after that. I've called the all the county animal controls, posted an ad on Craig's List and called all vets in the area. No one has reported her missing so far.
Perfectly coiffed momster back with you. Turned out I WAS a victim of a perm-gone-bad! It hadn't taken!! No wonder I was having so many bad hair days. Re-permed, and cut and feel SO much better!
Myrtle Beach must be idyllic right now. Steve too busy having fun to give us new thread! And blogger cop still doesn't know how to count.
Andy, you are ALWAYS hitting the ground running, girl! Stop and smell the flowers!
Animal control will pick the dog up tomorrow. It kills me to have to do that but I just can't afford to handle another dog's medical bills right now. I have contacted a cocker rescue group in the hopes that they can or will get her from the shelter is she isn't claimed within the 4 whole days they allow. I sure hope they get back to me soon.
Oh, Lynne...poor little dog. I hope someone has just lost her, but fear you are right about a dump....if she checks out okay with vet and no one claims her, will you keep her???
My first dog here in WV was a dump....and she was the sweetest, most amusing dog. She was a Pom mix and I loved her so much. After she passed away, mom saw a pic of a shelter dog down home up for adoption that looked exactly like her except for being blonde instead of black. We made application the moment we met her, and hey did a home inspection up here (came from Centreville,VA) and we got her, and Ginger had the exact same personality as Nikki had.
Lynn, the wound is dried and not bleeding and she seems OK otherwise, so I'm not taking her in tonight. Animal Control has a vet on staff and they will do whatever is necessary for her when she comes in. She's had dinner and a potty. She is SOOOOO lovable! Her ears are itchy but no sign of fleas. I'm sure in true cocker fashion she has ear infections in both ears...there is a distinct smell. My vet is so kind in offering the exam at no charge, but there is wound clean up and probably ear meds, if I kept her there would be fecal testing, heartworm testing, vaccinations, etc and while I'd get a huge break on those things, I just really can't afford to take it on. While it tears my HEART up knowing that she could end up being euthanized, I also know that if I had not found her, she would likely have had a fate worse than death...like starving, maggots in her wound, infection, and even being hit by a car and NOT dying, but wounded so badly that she'd suffer terribly until she did die. This way, she'll be cared for, fed, warm, vetted, maybe an owner will come forward, or she'll get adopted. And if not, then she will have a humane euthanasia. It's a tough situation and I am really sad.
Lynne - I posted that last comment without having been caught up. Lynne - you are doing the best for her that can be done, given anyone's situation. How sweet of you to take care of her, try to find her owner, call a rescue group, etc. More than anyone has done for her. If she's that sweet, I'm sure she'll be adopted in a heartbeat.

Hooray for BWO Lisa is really pleased about that pic I am sure.
Had a relaxing afternoon Hubby and I didn't do squat!
Lynne - You are doing the best that anyone could do... really you are doing MORE then anyone would do! Prayers that somewhere nearby someone is looking for her!
Wanda, just look to the sky from the direction indicated on the web page (here it's coming at us from NNW) and it will be very bright, pretty large and NOT blinking. Regardless, it should be pretty easy to tell if that's what you are looking at!
My gbaby Jenn took an over-the-handlebars spill on her bike----pretty banged up. Loose tooth and laceration on her chin. Lots of abrasions and bruises. Bringing her to me to assess.....phone pic looks like chin needs sutures or glue---steri-strips aren't going to do it. My heart is crying.

Mits, it was a 27 inch full size TV, not flat screen! Big, big! :)
Nice bird inventory Sharon!

Most of the time if it is doing the stop and start thing, I keep clicking on the pause/play button and it comes on.
mine was doing that yesterday...I have no patience for a cam that does not work...came on this a.m. with the annoying buzz
that does not always work, Sharon
I click on it and wait about 10 seconds, if it doesn't come on, I try it again.
This morning I keep having to reload the whole page...
Having to reload because it stops completely...
I am using firefox...
Well, hopefully when our egg hatches, somebody will be watching to see it.
The annoying buzz is gone now, Mits.
Egg roll
firefox, made everything worse for me, I went back to IE8
They have fish galore at BWE and Mom just arrived, maybe with another fish.

Duke Farms nest is on
www.dukefarms.org
Duke farms could hatch next week, too...
You don't suppose they left the Infra Red lamp on do you? The picture gets totally washed out on both feeds today.

Jim
at the top of the PixPA cam there are 2 falcon cams to access up in Pittsburgh, both have eggs.
Caltrans and Colorado and Oklahoma also on the schedule for next week.
Did anyone know Lake washington has an egg?
I can't get LW on..egg laid late on the 16th.
JIm, it is bright sunshine here today.
I see the heron in the osprey nest at WDFW
Hello Sunshine! Reading all the comments - Had my call from Germany and they are headed out to Paris and their Disney World for the weekend!
Megan That is wonderful news... I'll buy them from you at the April 3rd market - Will you be there - it is a Saturday...?
Only 1 more week to watch Noah at CRC
OK, was my computer, I hear the buzz still
Parent casting big shadow over BWE chicks....looks weird
I had no problem opening our cam this am. The land ad came on first.. There is a low hum - I am on IE system.
Getting ready to go in for CT which is a regular 3 mo event!
Sorry you don't feel any better Sharon.. Can you tell me what Sissy meant in a comment on FB about "Seeing our eagles on Saturday"?
That heron is really out of line!
I don't think LW has any eggs yet....
Just haven't been checking regularly to see the couple there.
Blog doesn't think that 'nestorations'
is a word either, Paula.
Morning Everyone!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NORMA'S LAURA!!
Getting warm here, have to plant some snowdrops. Guess they like shade. Have to research.
Gotta call Dell & see if I can get my money's worth.

Lisa has a comparison pic on her Eagle Nest Update..... It's a shocker! lol
I'm off for the street clothes
Lolly - prayers for Natalie.
Looked like an eagle flyover at our nest...
I'm back. sorry..had to leave quick. When a student calls, I am there. Wish I could said the same about them. hahah

Hoping Natalie will get through her recovery and soon be on the path to healing.
Lynn2, sorry about your back pain but can appreciate how good it feels to get outside work done.
Happy Birthday to Norma's Laura.
Sharon, sorry you still feel poorly and hope you improve today.
Dana, I am sorry about your continued eye problems. Maybe another opinion would be a help.
Yep, I enjoyed the gymnasts athletics and Darth enjoyed watching them.
Wishing everyone a lovely, sunshiny day.
JO, I was checking out JudyB site, that's where I found the LW info...
LOL, that's a great comparison, Lisa.
OH Judie, congrats to your gymnasts. I love watching gymnastics.
Noah doing a lot of preening. I wonder if those new feathers coming in makes an eagle itchy??
Hahaha, Deb. But I often click on the picture if it won't load, and it sometimes helps ... I think.
I've tried it on many sites, not just this one, and I think it often "gets its attention."

Jim, right now when I click, click, click, I get some movement. I will have better luck when I'm home.
Which site has NOAN? I think I have missed this one.
Lolly - sounds like spring has arrived in your yard. Here in Maine, my tulips are just peeking out of the ground. They are early this year.
We have been having great weather this week. Sunshine, 50 + 60's. NICE. Reality hits next week. Cold weather is coming back.
Yes, spring is really here, but then so is the weekly rain keeping our yard a bog. Sure wish it was not a swamp!
I am off now to walk and then work some outside.

I saw daffodils along US15 South today.

Digging our nest
Hi, Eagle Friends,
I slept in very late this morning, and it felt SO good!
Now must "hit the road running", so to speak, to accomplish something.
Haven't really read much of today's blog, but see that I need to wish Norma's Laura a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope it's a really special day for you!
Better go now and do the rest of my homework for tonight's class. Will try to get back here later before school. Have a SUPER day! :o]
Perfectly coiffed momster back with you. Turned out I WAS a victim of a perm-gone-bad! It hadn't taken!! No wonder I was having so many bad hair days. Re-permed, and cut and feel SO much better!

SHaron, saw your pastoral pics on FB----no comment section...what was the big black blob?? Hoping not a Lily!!
Oh....Fess Parker died. I'm sure we all remember him!!
Lynn, which picture were you referring to?
See where Lynn Rogers is making another visit to the den for some bonding time......I'm still wondering about this approach!
Three pics looking down a road, house in background, Shar.
Oh, Lynne, understand completely. Heartbreak all around, no matter what, unless owner claims or adoption.
Lynne - A thought for you....maybe you need to search for a cocker spaniel rescue group.
For all you know, her owners could be at work right now...and not even know she's missing. Could have escaped from a dog sitter, etc.
BWE is eating again :)
Outta here, gotta head to the post office...later gators!
That was just pics of the Peaks of Otter, Lynn.
Lynne, you are angel for what you have thus far for the little lost puppy lass...you have of empathy from this group, for sure...
from BWO....

Hooray for BWO
Lisa is really pleased about that pic I am sure.
Had a relaxing afternoon
Hubby and I didn't do squat!
Lynne - You are doing the best that anyone could do... really you are doing MORE then anyone would do!
Prayers that somewhere nearby someone is looking for her!
Dinner time here...... BBL
Wanda, just look to the sky from the direction indicated on the web page (here it's coming at us from NNW) and it will be very bright, pretty large and NOT blinking. It will be moving pretty quickly as well. It says it will be at 32* high here which, I THINK, if the zenith straight up is 90* (and I have no idea if that's correct or why I think that) then it would be about a third of the way up from the horizon. Regardless, it should be pretty easy to tell if that's what you are looking at!
NEW THREAD IS UP FOR THURSDAY NIGHT.
Well Wanda - we did see the moon last night! That's one up for us! I saw 2 or 3 airplanes! Maybe you and I will do better tonight!
Whoa! Tune into NBG
Close up of fuzzies....
They got sat upon very quickly!!!!
WE HAVE A NEW NIGHTIME THREAD!!!!
