Good morning, everyone.

Congratulations to NBG.

Did check CRC a few minutes ago. Noah growing like a weed.

Today is the first day of Spring break and I cannot be happier.

Still have to grade 50 papers and do some research on domestic/family violence but can do so at a slower pace.

Past two weeks have been very difficult with little time to stay in touch with friends -- everything from grading exams and papers and an issue with plagiarism.

Lolly, hope Jack is better this morning.

Andy, know you aced both exams last night and thanks for remembering to set the security alarms.

Shirley, good news about Luna -- hope she continues to improve.

Think I would like to go back to bed, listen to the rain, enjoy a cup of coffee and read the newspaper.

Such FUN watching LILY & HOPE!---Blows my mind when HOPE'S little head pops out here & there!!---Bet she gives LILY fits!!!

stronghunter said...

Oh, Judie, I envy your spring break, but not your 50 papers! I am sitting here looking at piles of papers, though. I sometimes collect 2-3 papers per student in a day in my classes. I grade or give credit for as many as I humanly can.

Since our grading system has gone online, parents have been told that new grades will be entered weekly, and they can expect to see them entered by Tuesday of each week. This is a bit challenging for classes I teach at a college level, especially when the class sometimes only meets twice in a week, but I am trying to give and grade more small assignments.

normabyrd said...

GOOD MORNIN' JUDIE!---Enjoy your 'SPRING BREAK'--ho!

Lynne2 said...

Good morning all! The sun is shining brightly this morning...but I can't see it for all the clouds and rain :(

Well, looks like some very soggy eagles this morning, all sad and wet with heads down. Going to be a long wet weekend for them.

stronghunter said...

All of the small assignments is one reason that I have not been on the blog so much! It also cuts into the time I have to read and prepare for presentations. A person can only do so much.

Good Morning ALL FRIENDS in Eagleland.

Been pouring all night and still continues...I think maybe someone said we are to get rain for 3 days.

Little Man had to go out in all that. Poor boy got soaked. Took him in after towel dry and used the hair dryer on him. I think it felt good the way he acted. Usually after baths he doesn't like it. Back under the covers he went lol

Does anyone use Outlook Express for their mail??????

Norma, Jack had a minor surgical procedure yesterday afternnon. Not in hospital.
I love GEORGETOWN U basketball best, Norma. (Have just always respected the John Thompson ethics.) Don't really follow WVU. I do enjoy March Madness.

NatureNut said...

Morning Everyone.
Just read about no sea eagles seen at Fin. water nest. The EENet sites now have a white-tailed eagle nest cam.(No birds there at the moment) Just checked the wild boar at West Viru & men had sleds w/food bags to put out & all the piggies ran for the woods!

LOlly - how is Jack feeling this morning?

Bet the train gang has had a blast...still hope they get to NBG, rain or no rain.

I never did get back on here last night...I was cleaning and fighting with the vacuum cleaner!

Laura - glad you can finally see the nest! How about you, Wanda?

Dana - I use yahoo email for personal...I have outlook here for work. Free email is great, you can see everything in your email from any computer. With outlook, you can only access prior emails on your computer....you couldn't go over to Margy's computer and see your email, unless you went onto the email provider's website (like verizon or comcast).

Sorry the train gang didn't get to see NBG.

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, Norma, I like basketball :)

Mits said...

when I right click to take pics, it goes thru OE, then I have to sign into my verizon mail and the blog again...and I hate it.

paula eagleholic said...

Look at the size of Noah's crop :)

Only 2 more weeks to see him/her...4 weeks old today.

Belle is really smushed into the nest.

Mits said...

Mom at NBG, just shook the rain off her wings...did not get to see chick

normabyrd said...

Haven't been on the blog for so long---SUCH FUN!---Must get dressed!

hedgie said...

Norma, JT,Jr. still is coach at GT.

Dana, I use AOL free version primarily.

Loretta and Mits, I'll be able to use the EENet link when I get switched to Verizon!! Along with other live cams---will be able to keep them open for as long as I want!!

hedgie said...

Mits, when I right-click to save a pic, it automatically puts it in my Picture folder in Windows. Email has nothing to do with it......sure hope that's not an issue I'm going to have with Verizon.........argh!

Mits said...

I don't know why it does that, Lynn, it is real easy though, but it just knocks me off the blog and my mail.

Good morning! It was a great night! All is well in the household. Thank you for prayers and wlll wishes. Jack stayed up when I went to bed. I woke up when he finally came to bed. Problem was resolved! Yea!

I just carried down the garbage, but Jack is in the kitchen cooking breakfast. ☺

Sunshine here, think I will do more mucking today.☺ I wear sweats this time of year while in the yard, then have to strip in the utility room. lol I come in covered with mud. Mud is good for you, right?

Lynn, I plan on sending you a message in facebook inbox.

Glad Jack is OK!

Mits said...

just got off the phone with Sharon, she and Thelma decided at the last minute to go to NBG, they have seen one of the eagles flying over head, and are on their way to one of the scopes, will call back when she gets there..

Lolly said...

LOL Strong lil rascal at NBG. He was either moving fluff or grabbing food in his mouth.

Lolly said...

Yes, just saw on fb where Sharon had posted a picture of the cam. I knew they were there! So glad they are!

hedgie said...

Glad that the southern delegation got to see something at NBG!

Glad that Jack is doing better Lolly !

At least, our rain today is a warm rain....

Yay the Southern Delegation are at NBG - happy to hear that, TRAIN AND EAGLES, WHAT A COMBO !

magpie said...

Outlook Express...Dana...
I like it better than Yahoo....and it is the only thing I am familiar with since signing onto a my own computer in 2005...but the others are much better experts on this!

Paula is right, you have to go to a web-base site like Verizon to read from elsewhere...and that is cumbersome !

magpie said...

I have been pleased with Verizon though

gotta shake a leg will look forward to checking out all the info you all have posted today

tax company had to get outta town after one of the workers bilked many clients out of Thousands of dollars last year....I am going to a very reliable former employee from there....I DID NOT get bilked last year, figure, one look at employer County Government/911 and crook figured I was not a good risk

GOOD MORNING...
What a beautiful picture at NBG! I wasn't able to get it on my old 'puter, but can on this one. I guess I remember they have no sound, but that picture is exquisite!

Mits said...

the reason NBG has no sound is #1, the airport noise nearby, and #2 they say it takes up too much bandwidth and would make the live stream not as good as it is now.

Mits said...

weather for NBG nest.....

Flood Watch in effect from 6 PM EST this evening through Saturday morning...
This Afternoon
Cloudy with rain likely. Breezy with highs in the lower 60s. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight
Rain likely in the evening...then rain with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Rain may be heavy at times in the evening. Breezy with lows in the mid 50s. East winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.

I spent a good part of yesterday at GG's. She called and said she had fallen several times and her heart was not beating right. I Went in and gave her something to calm her down and told her the doctor will most likely want her to go to the hospital. She, of course, didn't want that and decided to try to nap and see how she felt then. She slept long enough for me to take out garbage, dust the whole house and fix her supper. GOOD NAP! She awoke and said she felt so much better. Having someone around when you feel bad helps tremendously. She said she felt good enough for me to home, which I did.
She has a doctor appointmen today and I feel certain he will want her to go to the hospital. This time, I will INSIST.
Please pray with me that the cancerous tumor on her spine has not returned! She has been in remission for 10 years.
I wrote some of this last night before I went to bed, and for the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere. I must have sent it out in an email:) I was so tired and sleepy I dozed off twice while I was typing.

Lolly said...

LOL Looks like she was going to have to squish him to sit on the nest. He just kept his head up.

Mits said...

prayers for you, Wanda, and GG...

Costume Lady said...

It must not be raining in Norfolk, no tenting from parent. Hope Sharon and Thelma got to see the nest before they left...fog should be gone by now.

Mits said...

lol...Sharon just called again, she is having a good time....

hedgie said...

Going out to a late lunch w/ a good friend, so time to get ready. See you fine folks later this afternooon. Stay dry!

Lolly said...

Prayers for GG and for you, Wanda. This is a tough time for you. (((hugs))) Do insist she go to the hospital. That is too much falling. Do not want broken bones. Just had an older cousin fall last week. Thought she had broken her hip, but was actually her thigh bone..way up high! She has already gone to a nursing home. She has a great attitude about the rehabilitation. She wants to go home. Talked with her, she is up in Lansing.

Lynne2 said...

Many prayers for GG, and for you all Wanda.

Mits said...

no fog at NBG, Wanda..

Judie said...

Lolly, happy Jack is feeling better and, yes, mud is supposed to be good, except on children.

Also happy Sharon and Thelma have visited NBG. Not good weather but it is a beautiful area made better by the eagles.

Jo, enjoy the time with Jenny. May have missed, is anything special planned?

Shirley, I think the expected turn-around time for grades is too quick for the courses you teach. I don't have a time constraint other than whiny students -- when are we going to get...?

Oh my, I just looked out the window and saw a CHOO CHOO go by AND it had a shiny garland streaming from its caboose -- awesome sight.

Mits said...

Dana Gray said...

Hi all, Stopped in at lunch to say hello. I am loving the warmer temps. Yesterday it was 70 degrees all day and when I got home from work, there was still snow in the yard and on the porch roof! Amazing

Judie said...

Wanda, so very sorry about GG falling again. I do hope her doctor will insist on all necessary tests to rule out all possible causes -- even if she doesn't want to -- so she can get the medical care she needs. Hugs.

Mits said...

Sharon just called they are heading home in a few minutes, but they just met Reese from the NBG blog and he was showing them the nest where Buddy was born....

Dana Gray said...

Wanda...lets hope GG will go to the doctors. I had a bout with dizzyness and falling. It turned out to be all in my head LOL...Ears actually, and they were able to fix it for me. Before I knew it was my ears..I would get very nervous and almost work myself into a panic attack. I hope maybe GG is haveing something a simple as this to fix. I will keep you both in my prayers

Judie said...

Lynn, you've got mail

Mits said...

Sharon just got interviewed by the WVEC TV news station that sponsors the NBG nest , put in a plug for the NCTC nest....so should be on the website, after it is aired.

Lolly said...

That is too cool, Mits! They have really had a great time at Norfolk. Glad too that they met Reece.

Costume Lady said...

Wahoo, that's our Sharon!
She is like Capt. Gene, has a good time wherever she goes:)

Mits said...

I am so glad they decided to stop by there, now have a 4 hour trip home.

Lolly said...

It is so hard to watch NBG and then come back to our cam. It looks so washed out! Too bright or something.

Mits said...

roflmbo, Sharon called again and she is at the center where they are manning the cams by computer, I don't think she wants to leave:)

Lolly said...

It is fascinating there. I really liked seeing where they manned the cam there at NBG. Can understand why she does not want to leave. lol When Sharon does things, she does them in a big way!

Lolly said...

I am out of here. Enjoyed such a wonderful breakfast this morning. I really need to walk!!!

I have made the rounds of cams and nests. Now time to get busy!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!
Sorry you are getting rain at the nest! Poor Belle and Lib sure have had some lousy weather this season!
Glad it's NOT the S-word, though.

Have been doing housework and laundry like a crazy woman today in an effort to get it all done before the weekend. Have put a pretty good dent in it.

Mighty good to see that Judie has Spring Break! What a relief, I'm sure!
