It is so pretty out here, the sun is just making the snow look beautiful. I was out taking picture. The weather said it is just going to get better from here...maybe 50 by end of week :)
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHARON!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DANELLE!
Just want to wish all of you a very nice Saturday! It's starting to look like rain here in my neck of the woods--kinda windy, dampish out, gray clouds. Supposed to have chance of rain all weekend. Yay--this is my kind of weather! My flowers and lawn will love it, too!
Got some more suet for the birds--they are loving it. Have a large number of White-Crowned Sparrows here today. One of our mockingbirds is eating a lot of the red berries on our asparagus ferns, too.
Well, have more vacuuming to do, so guess I'd better get to it. Will BBL to check in. Take care, and have a good day! :o]
I've got my underwear in a bundle....an article in the WV mag has my dander up. The state is still trying to award post-war medals to WV Union soldiers' heirs. There are still about 4000 that no kin have claimed. It states that there are NO medals for Confederatesoldiers. Have they completely forgotten that when the war began there was NO West Virginia....it was all VIRGINIA, which was a confederatestate?????????????
Almost forgot--fellow cat lovers, has anyone ever seen a cat like this one that's my new avatar? It's in the 'Lost & Found' at the local pound. Hope its owner claims it! Most unusual color and markings I think I've ever seen! Ragdoll, or any other 'cat person', can you tell me what kind of cat it is? He's just gorgeous. Any input? Please and thank you! :o]
hedgie, I am sorry about your underwear...it doesn't seem right, but what that saying about history..no one remembers it so we keep making the same mistakes over and over....;(
I'm not enough of a cat person to know the breed of the one you pictured Andrea. I just know I love cats. One thing for sure is that it must be lost because it certainly doesn't look like a feral/stray undernourished feline. I certainly hope it's owners see the pic and claim it and take it home again.
Hi everyone! Before I do some catching up, thanks Norma & Lynn. Youngest picked up the mail this morning and the magazine was there. Now must read .. the picture of the eagle on 2 pages was awesome.
Watching a show about my DC in the 70's---doing a piece now about Ling Ling and Sing Sing!!!!! M-e-m-o-r-i-e-s!!! Pandamonium, was what it was called then! The Caps had just come to town, and there was name the team contest....1 mill. entries were for "The Pandas"!!!
Laura, did you press the arrow that faces to the right, on the far left under the black screen? Mine comes up black to, and then you press the arrow to start the video. It is to the left of the words eaglecam live player
It sure does Paula... and a good schedule of events going on around the State...
funny thing, I don't always open it up the day I get it, but on this one, I must have heard the Eagles calling out....☺ cause I opened it up the day I got it ☺
I had a pork roast going in the slow cooker, so I woke up to that aroma a few times...
My forget- me- not greens out front are all bunched up and sorry looking but I know they will perk up, they always do these are transplants from my sister's place in Massachusetts, well, seeds actually !
Margy, that aroma must be heavenly! I'll have it tomorrow with my beef pot roast! I noticed that the briar/bramble bushes are starting to show green....more work cut out for me; they are trying to strangle a couple of small trees out in the woods!
Looks like my lilac bush is completely broken down. Still about a foot of snow around the bottom...last year was the first year that it had bloomed. :( Hope there will be new shoots coming up.
Okay, Paula. Thanks! No green thumb here. So glad everyone is getting their mags. Poor Norma had to apply each individual stamp. No automated P.O. there. I sure thought Romney was big enough to qualify for a modern P.O. Even little ol' Berkeley Springs does.
Watching a movie on Hallmark. Can't believe how beautifully Dyan Cannon is aging! Slim and trim....and no OBVIOUS signs of botox or plastic surgery. Maybe some collagen in the lips..

Soooo pretty outside! Back out for more :)
Andy - kitty looks part siamese to me, but I'm no cat expert!
I won't tell anyone that it is working the way I like it to work. :<)
Having a cup of coffee before going to Mass.
I'm not enough of a cat person to know the breed of the one you pictured Andrea. I just know I love cats.

Hedgie - you need to respond some way to that article. Anxious to hear you and Norma discuss it!
Off to get ready for Mass
Probably be back before I leave
Jo---ho,ho,ho....think that is a discussion that Norma and I SHOULD'NT have!!!! We don't exactly see eye-to-eye about the war or this state!
Andy, cat IS lovely---but I "don't know nuffin" about cats so can't give an opinion.
Hi everyone! Before I do some catching up, thanks Norma & Lynn. Youngest picked up the mail this morning and the magazine was there. Now must read .. the picture of the eagle on 2 pages was awesome.
Happy, happy Sharon. Hope your day is special.

Looks like my lilac bush is completely broken down. Still about a foot of snow around the bottom...last year was the first year that it had bloomed. :( Hope there will be new shoots coming up.
Bye, Margy!
Have one little snowbell plant up, but no blooms.

Will just came in with the mail and pulled out a large envelope and commented that "this must have something to do with the eagles."
Yes! My magazine! Wonderful article. Thanks Norma and Lynn!
What is that on the eagle's beak?
Okay, Paula. Thanks! No green thumb here.
So glad everyone is getting their mags. Poor Norma had to apply each individual stamp. No automated P.O. there. I sure thought Romney was big enough to qualify for a modern P.O. Even little ol' Berkeley Springs does.
I see now that was Lib on the eggs, that flew back in from the right...Belle just arrived on the back, and Lib has exited...stage right.
Lisa has 2 new videos up of the eaglets
