Update on Noah -
From the update =
WCNC placed a camera inside the hack tower to follow Noah's progress. The camera is solar-powered and hasn't updated since Saturday. We have a battery backup for the camera, but that battery only lasts about 12 hours. We have ordered a new solar panel and we hope to have the eagle cam back up soon.

Noah is pretty big...you just don't realize how big they are until they are in a person's hands. Eagles certainly look smaller on cam.
Interesting tracking device...will have to ask them about that!
BWO Update
03/30/10:
We hear from photographer Bob Quinn that several ospreys have been seen around our cam nest, but they've been slow in claiming it. It's possible we have young birds at the nest or there's some competition going on over who gets it.
Time to dig into that nice fish that's been laying at the back of the nest!
Palmer's gonna poop shoot! It was a tiny one!

Palmer had fish and squirrel for lunch
I see my first 2 female cowbirds out here. The fellers have been here for a while.
Just had three hawks wheeling around out here and screaming. Don't know what it was all about.
So Palmer had surf and turf for lunch. Eagle just flew in with fluff.
So, the girls had to get their hair and nails done first Sharon?
Both parents just in our nest....Lib took off, looks like Belle's turn.
You can still see that squirrel tail flapping in the breeze...
Winds have gotten terribly fierce here. Little people like Megan and Margy better hold on tight!!!
IF it's as bad at the enst as it is here, Belle and Lib better not leave Palmer alone!!!
So would you say the squirrel is laying there "spread eagle"?
That is what I am thinking Paula and the fellers had to come and scope out which nests to be parasitic in!

Have been beyond busy today trying to reapply online for my student loan. What fun! Now, need to run and buy some new yellow printer ink! Printer refuses to do anything till I replace it! (Even with 'grayscale' printing!)
I give up. Will BBL, after running to get ink. Have school tonight, too!
Computer is WAY slow with live cam up, so please keep an eye on Palmer for me!
Praying for Chrissy, but checked Yahoo mail, and don't have anything about her in there that I can find. Would someone please send me an e-mail and fill me in, if possible? Really concerned for her.

Well Judie is out to dinner - Palmer is having his in the nest - and my table is just about ready!
I walked out on the deck and with the wind factor - it is downright COLD.

Have noticed something interesting. When I save a pic off the still cam, and then enlarge it when I view it, the colors are very noticeable! Cool.
