No new baby yet - She said she is waiting until tomorrow!!! I've had 2 calls today with updates. Her sister is now here so everyone is saying JUST DO IT !!!
Well, Deb. I think WE did lay their first egg, although I didn't actually see the egg either. She appeared to be going through labor for some time, and she is on the nest, incubating, after dark has fallen.
At PH, K-26 absolutely looked as though she was in the process without a question, and when she rolled them, I might have been able to see them (pictures small), and many others are definite about seeing two eggs rolled.
Found out that I can't make any of the fancy symbols on this "netbbook"---no number pad to lock on to, and regular numerals won't work for that. Also no F keys...have to key in F and the digit. Size DOES matter!!!
Hey, Margy, was beginning to wonder if you got lost at Mass! Sorry you have to work tomorrow..bummer. But you did have a nice stretch off...back to the real world, huh?
For you Colorado fans, my brother and his wife just arrived in Walden Colorado, for his 36th year of research on Prairie Dogs, some of those years have been in the Black Hills of South Dakota, some in Utah, some in Arizona, and the most recent in Colorado
After Mass, Hedgie, I went shopping and got myself some decent sneakers! I was tempted to go look at digital cameras, but it was getting too late and I have to pick your all's brains a little first before I do that!
my brother John and his wife have four children, and they home-schooled them all, so the kids could go out on the trips West, and they helped with the research as they got a little older. Crazy life, and they have all ended up doing very well
Also, Margy I am excited about the pictures you are going to send. Mail away! Penny our postlady will be holding our mail and she is good. Takes good care of us! We will be leaving Wednesday and will not be gone a full week. (I think!) Will take our laptop, but not sure if the places we stop will have WiFi.
Hard to believe he could find so many things to continue his research for 36 years, Lolly - they are very colonial, that's for sure, and, they sometimes engage in killing their babies (infanticide) but they are very familial at the same time. I guess I should read one of his books about them and learn more
Mits this is the same brother who has the trains in Frostburg- they are really a lovely family, three boys and a girl, "Margaret" who we sometimes call "Baby Magpie" - John is the one who gave me the nickname in the first place ☺
OK Lolly - I will get them mailed. They are already on Wanda's pics and the Momster album but sometimes it is nice to have a hot little picture in your hands.
36 here and windy! My wind chimes are singing! Supposed to freeze tonight, just hope it does not stay below freezing for long. Jack and I are comfy in our chairs in front of the fire.
Aaaaah, wind chimes and a nice fire! I have a brother in law who made me a giant set of wind chimes once, out of tent pole stakes! Woke the whole neighborhood up but they were great!
Sure love that daffodil avatar, Lolly Hope you don't get the freeze...
I was thinking it was something that someone at Saline sits every night and works the cam as it follows the creatures when they leave. THEN I thought of us sitting and looking at our computer screens...how many hours a day? LOL
they lost Margy, but are still 2nd seed in their division, Division Championships begin next Thursday, jubby will miss the game, but hopefully son can go:)
Good Night Mits and Jubby, and Wanda and Gene xoxo ♥ ♥
Lolly : I also have a set of wind chimes made from the tines of a buck's antlers, old boyfriend (should say, "former" not old I guess) made those for me.
Margy, Yanni will repeat Mon. 8-10pm on 26,31 & 44. If you can't get those channels (they are all listed in the Journal's TV guide) I can tape it for you on VCR. Night Mits and Wanda!
He is one of the few things in this life that my sister and I see eye-to-eye on. Another is Andreas Vollenveider....do you remember him? Haven't heard anything about him in years!
Monday night sounds good, Hedgie, I should be able to get that here. I have several cassettes of his, a few have gone kaput, so I will replace them someday wtih CDs. I used to put them in to go sleep by when I was working night shift a few years back, the more quiet ones that is. Can't say I remember Andreas V. - I think I will be finishing up FireFight tonight, headed to do that soon.
Good Night to all heading to the Feather Pillows... Peace, Love and Prayers, and God Bless Us, Every One xo
I don't know if anyone is up yet, but if you are, take a look at Pete's Pond this A.M. (their time)... There are a lot of new wading birds: Large and small Herons, Egrets, Storks, Ibises AND Spoonbills.

Good Early AM, Everyone. Got a good pic of both snuggled down at BWE I'll put on Blog. Great PH videos from Deb & Jim. Congrats to Maggie's Mounties! Got call from daughter in Bastrop, TX last night about forest fire very close to her home. Was very DRY & windy & elec. line fell into the woods right across hwy near her.Was blowing south, away from them but many were evacuated & 10 homes gone near Stevensville, TX. Had ice here last night & are predicting 6" of snow!!!
Thx, Margy--think child will be OK, altho she said she probably wouldn't go to sleep! Just checked our nest & after daylight can see the snow. Poor things!
Hi Dana, No, she was on the safer side of the fire, luckily. I didn't realize that they were still in drought conditions. Had been 80's 2 days ago & 60's on Sat. Co. official asked for disaster relief.
I thought my live feed was stuck. Refresh and see our eagle has a different position in nest. That made me bring the still cam up. Our eagle is awake and looking around.

FOR THE 3rd TIME SINCE FRIDAY!
How about all that WAX you got, Mits!
Back to Cold Case
It's half over & I haven't got this one
figured out yet!!!
Rather have a new thread than wax:)
Hello my buds! :) ☺
Congratulations to Maggie's Mounties!!
Ground is white in Bluefield.
Big congratulations to Maggie's Mounties!!
hello Hoover....glad to see that machine doing so well for you...hos does the stomach feel?
thanks, Deb...it is a great thing for the special Olympians, they may have special needs, but they are special people
Way to go, Maggies' Mounties!!!!
Hip-hip-hooray!!!!
yes, see the snow on the cam....
CA has more eggs, PH has been confirmed on two eggs, WE, they are pretty sure the first egg has been laid.
The Hoover is sucking right along. :) It is healing, still having some pain but not as bad as it was!
This machine is somewhat aggravating, especially when I try to walk away without picking it up. I forget it is there sometimes, you know?
You can really just keep all that white stuff right out there in Bluefield!!!
Repeat on this thread the news concerning
Maggie's Mounties!!!
From Helen before the split:
Division #3, amount of plungers between 30 and 39 the #1 team again this year is.............
MAGGIES' MOUNTIES:)
THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE
Sharon, guess that's kind of like trying to drive away from the gas pump w/o taking the nozzle out of the tank, huh???? LOL!
Hey, Jo...any baby news yet? How far apart were her contractions? Real ones or Braxton-Hicks???
Well, we didn't get to see the egg at WE to confirm it 100%, but based on everything that was seen I would say it is 99.5% positive Wray laid an egg.
Both eggs were laid at almost the same time! One at PH, one at WE.
thanks, Deb:), for bringing it over.....listen how peaceful it is at PH
Sharon, I am sure glad they put you on the VAC, what a difference for you.
It was nice listening to the night sounds as PH went off the air. Too bad we didn't get a glimpse of WE egg, but I am pretty sure it is there.
WHOO HOO !!!
Now that is a T E A M
No new baby yet - She said she is waiting until tomorrow!!! I've had 2 calls today with updates.
Her sister is now here so everyone is
saying JUST DO IT !!!

I am loading video of K26 rolling the two eggs, I wish there was something that told you how far along the upload process was.
BWE is awake.
I think Paul Harvey was 90.
yes he was...
Paul Harvey, news commentator and talk-show pioneer, has died at the age of 90 surrounded by family at his winter home in Phoenix.

The rest if his year is spent at Frostburg University as a biology professor
good news, Margy
The possum at Saline isn't the only one with a name, I saw this posted tonight:
"Ratface" Malone, Rocky Raccoon and the Michigan Panther.
Tonight you can see the name on the beer can, also. Natural Beer--I had to google it. It is an Anheuser/Busch product.
After Mass, Hedgie, I went shopping and got myself some decent sneakers! I was tempted to go look at digital cameras, but it was getting too late and I have to pick your all's brains a little first before I do that!
I must have looked at 200 pairs of shoes looking for ones like Megan's -
no luck :(
Wonderful video, Deb! TY!
But earlier in the day I found me some great bib overalls - 3 pairs - at Good Will! ☺ - I'll be all set for the next nest visit
Thanks Mits...
He paints numbers on all the adult prairie dogs so he can track their activities, and his fingernails are black form the dye until the Fall!
Hedgie, I only have a six-hour shot Sunday, then back to dayshift Mon and Tues... just found out I am on dayshift for another month...
my brother John and his wife have four children, and they home-schooled them all, so the kids could go out on the trips West, and they helped with the research as they got a little older. Crazy life, and they have all ended up doing very well
That is really interesting Margy about your brother. Prairie dogs are interesting creatures.
Fantastic Video, Deb, of K26 laying that second egg !
Also, Margy I am excited about the pictures you are going to send. Mail away! Penny our postlady will be holding our mail and she is good. Takes good care of us!
We will be leaving Wednesday and will not be gone a full week. (I think!) Will take our laptop, but not sure if the places we stop will have WiFi.
that sounds really nice for the whole family, Margy.
bwe awake
My picture at Saline is all messed up!
Hard to believe he could find so many things to continue his research for 36 years, Lolly -
they are very colonial, that's for sure, and, they sometimes engage in killing their babies (infanticide) but they are very familial at the same time. I guess I should read one of his books about them and learn more
your are talking about the prairie dogs, right, Margy:]
Mits
this is the same brother who has the trains in Frostburg- they are really a lovely family, three boys and a girl, "Margaret" who we sometimes call "Baby Magpie" - John is the one who gave me the nickname in the first place ☺
OK Lolly - I will get them mailed. They are already on Wanda's pics and the Momster album but sometimes it is nice to have a hot little picture in your hands.

How did the Mount make out in their game, Mits ?
I was thinking it was something that someone at Saline sits every night and works the cam as it follows the creatures when they leave. THEN I thought of us sitting and looking at our computer screens...how many hours a day? LOL
Well, now that I think of it, it wasn't the stakes, it was the tent poles themselves, big aluminum hollow poles!
I see here Sharon snuck on here earlier... Hi Sharon if you are still hanging around ☺
I will change to tulips soon!
great video Deb:)
Some of my wind chimes Jack made. He used electrical conduit pipes.
they lost Margy, but are still 2nd seed in their division, Division Championships begin next Thursday, jubby will miss the game, but hopefully son can go:)

Well ok, I'm awake, and I went to Pete's POnd and you are right, there are all kinds of birds. Just watched one catch a fish:)
PH's second egg being laid
Here's a video of K26 working, pushing and twisting to lay her second egg.
And when she's done and moves to turn them, you can clearly see two eggs.
Great video. Enjoy it.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Hi, Megan, I'm glad you saw them too. It's amazing. And there are a couple of pairs of interesting geese too.
I notice there are a lot of large, new bird stains on the local rocks too. (:~D

Good Morning Loretta...hope things will be okay with your daughter -
Beautiful Eagle views this morning, especially OUR NEST xox ☺
Awesome fly in fly out, saw those three little eggs...
Bet that's a nice little warm spot Liberty just roosted on.... ☺
That's awful about the fires, Loretta....
Thx, Margy--think child will be OK, altho she said she probably wouldn't go to sleep!
Just checked our nest & after daylight can see the snow. Poor things!
Egg roll again our nest
Good Morning Eagleland
Lots of snow here
Loretta sorry to hear about the fires. Did your daughter have to evacate? I pray she will be safe and her home spared.
Good Morning Margy..your right they do have a lot of nice pictures over there. That loving scence of Dad staying with Mom is so beautiful.
I seen our eagle raise up alittle and had head into nest bowl. Never got off or moved body much at all. Keeping those eggs warm.
Hi Dana, No, she was on the safer side of the fire, luckily. I didn't realize that they were still in drought conditions. Had been 80's 2 days ago & 60's on Sat.
Co. official asked for disaster relief.
2nd eagle at Norfolk
Fly out and an egg roll there now,
this eagle looks Soggy !
Poor Norfolk eagle is all wet.
Loretta:
Did you notice Megan had a nice Penguin T-shirt on for the Nest Visit Thursday ? ☺
Good Morning Dana!
Eagle was at Decorah, Ia. gone no egg laying yet there.
Oh yea HAPPY MARCH 1ST EAGLELAND
Wondering about the great granbaby due for Mema Jo. Like everyone waiting to hear.
Lady Blackwater is not giving up a single Egg View this morning, and she refused to give up her roost on th eggs.
Yes, wondering if Jo's grand-daughter's baby is getting ready to hatch soon too ☺
News report from last night on TX fire at KXAN.com.
I put some pictures on the new Momsters album page, they are a little out of order, will ask Jo to rre-arrange them for me later on.
AND I added one to the old-time Finney'st nest album that we started a long time ago...
Wonder if Belle is out getting some breakfast after a long cold night at the nest
I think BWE just did egg roll and there is one Eagle at a blurry BWO platform
* Best Wishes for a Wonderful Day everyone, and Safe Travel Wishes to Helen's Jubby * xoxo
BWE checked under her but never got up.
The Finney's album is entitled Sea Eagles and is on the last page of the album selections.
Will watch the news on fire now, Loretta...thanks.
OK Dana, thanks...
I thought my live feed was stuck. Refresh and see our eagle has a different position in nest. That made me bring the still cam up.
Our eagle is awake and looking around.
Gotta keep that still cam up, Dana, because sometimes it is ahead of the Live Feed and you can see what's coming....at least, that is what I do
Yep Margy was use to doing that but forgot this morning. Your right it has been ahead of live feed. How the snow in your way?
About an inch Dana and it has quit, birds chirping now -
I guess our Robins will now officially be Snow Robins ☺
OK is awake a perky.
Have half a dozen calendars to change, my Wood Ducks have now turned over the page to Blue Birds on the WV DNR Calendar...
Gobbler in Strut with Red Wattles and Blue Snood, and Hens at Pix Pa...
I see our eggs on the still
Our nest bowl looked nice and dry down in there ( :
Switch at OK nice 3 eggs.
And that's how it works, Dana...got to catch it on the still feed sometimes to keep up with the live, UNTIL I get the little screen thing working...☺
Beautiful egg roll
Gobbler has moved on, hens seemed completely disinterested ! Sure he is still around somewhere though
Norma:
Can you find us a seamstress...we could really use a New Thread....☺
Maybe Steve is just relaxing and enjoying life for a change....
BBL Laundry and lots of it awaits me
Both at our nest
Switch and 3 pretty dry nest bowl for NCTC
Both at our nest again. Brought in stick or just moving a very large stick.
Housecleaning Two Birds Our Nest
Darn BWE is not giving us a peek.
All minor multiple split inconveniences aside...I hope Steve is OK !
Good morning Eagleland. A couple of inches of snow cover here.
We aew heading for another split...won't Jo be surprised?
