I don't know, Deb...maybe it would be easier for me to tell if I had Live feed instead of still cam--then I could zoom and maybe it wouldn't look quite so distorted. But just can't run the live cam for more than a minute or so a day.

Yes, it is Belle who has the V and she also has a longer tail with more white showing. It is still hard to tell if they aren't together.

Cool, right back to that same spot-need to take a shovel up there and clean out the nest for them.
Hubby I think was afraid builder might complain if no one showed up and they would give job to someone else to get it done, so I understand that, there is so little work..but I would rather have him than cash...even though he is extremely stubborn...

Megan, when you have time, send me an email and tell me what all your husband does or is it just floors. Had I known, My Mother had a new kitchen floor and foyer put in last fall. Would have been a good job for him. Mom needs a new commode installed, porch sanded and stained, house trim and garage door painted, etc. etc. Gene just can't get to it all. We need a lot done here, too. Three new patio door installed, porch repairs, new windows in front of house. OH, my wallet just snapped shut!:)

That was weird, guess my feed was frozen, then came back and it was like poof-poof they just disapeared from the nest-
The live feed is so far behind the eagles are gone on the 30 sec cam before they were on my live feed! I wonder if there is ice on some of the connections or something like that.
Both gone now.
Strang, the Still cam showed them gone before the live cam...what's up with that?? Maybe I need another cup of coffee;)
Yes, I guess the cold and ice is wreaking havoc with the live feed. Either that or we all need more coffee...

Yes, Megan...if I download too much, or view too much live action, then they penalize me for 24 hrs. by slowing down my access to slower than dial-up. It's called the Fair Access Policy and is supposed to stop airwave hogging. The only unlimited time is 3am-6am. Tried to watch an ER episode that I had missed during the evening once and only got half-way through it before I got "nabbed". So had to get up in the middle of the night a few days later to watch it.

Phone calls took me away for awhile..
Hubby went down around 10:30 for his ritual of Dunkin Donut Coffee.. Said that road were only wet and that he had no problem. DIL made it to work cross town in Frederick (They didn't need to come in until 10) & gs made it up to Hgstwn but also didn't leave until 10.
SO all present & accounted for....
I like all my eggs in one basket.....

It's Hughesnet, Megan. Satellite....only thing I could get here.
Hedgie, I think I would be looking for a new provider unless thats the only one you can access.
Check with the phone company. DSL would be better than what you have.

Cost almost $800 to get set up...that was 18 months ago. Last summer a new provider popped up out of Kentucky called SkywayUSA that was only $200 that I got for my daughter who lives in Shanghai (literally and figuratively!!!) which is on the west side of the mountain from Gerrardstown/Inwood.
Mits. Big Rig Steve is rolling again. Heading for Iowa then Penn.
That's it, Red....no Verizon available--and they say not in the near future. No cable TV here. Couldn't get signal for Wildblue without taking down the entire forest. And after investing that much, no point in switching now to Skyway..but I think all of the satellite ones have the same policy.

Verizon DSL is not available here either, event hoguh I know some who have it about 15 minutes away. Skyway has the same policy- I was looking- most people I know in WV have frontiernet, but that's all around SHeptown.
Gee, wish you all could send some of those warmer temps this way...still only 31° here.

Yeah, Megan, frontier is through their phone company..they don't have Verizon in Jefferson Co. A friend of mine lives in a development within Mtbg. city limits...she couldn't get Verizon because her house was 1700' away from the box...but her neighbor behind her was within 1500' and can get it. Sounds like they need to add more boxes!!
you can do a full screen with BRS, but it takes away some of the clarity.
You could really send the warm temps this way, it is 8 right now, but headed up to the 20's.

Good morning! 21 here this morning and the roads are iced over. Laurel had 16. We lost our spring weather! Schools are closed and the paper said hundreds of wrecks yesterday. Supposed to warm up. We are scheduled to go to Dallas tonight, will have to wait and see if the roads clear.

We have cable and on occasion when cable is out, we switch to antenna. Won't be able to do that after the switch over. Not due to take place til June 12, now.
I think Belle would have spent the night in the nest if it were time for her to lay. They hover over the egg cup and keep it dry (or at least that is how I remember it) when it is time.

Wanda, if you get the converter box then you can switch!! I do the same thing...and love the converter reception...channels are clearer than on Directv. And there's more channels, too. One problem I have is that I can't get Baltimore stations..but that's because the stupid squirrels chewed through the rotor cable on the antenna tower, and Bill has not had a chance to splice in a new wire!

Our sign was alway when she stayed in the nest overnight. Then we all stayed up or at least checked in on the nest throughout the night on our visits to the loo........ lol
My cam keeps freezing up, but everytime it comes back it comes back with sound.
Mits, our cable provider was messing up one of our local channels as they prepared for digital. So I would suspect Verizon has a problem.

It's like blankets, I guess, anyway, grass is all covered with snow, so I guess it's easier to get leaves and twigs...gettibng that nest cup ready.
Decaying leaves generate heat...they're maybe using them as de-icer!!!

I just read that, Lynn,,, this was not a snow event this was ice, here in Montgomery count and in the District there are many hills and small streets, even the Secret Service are not experts on ice, and we DO NOT have the equipment and stuff that goes with it because we don't have that many storms, but ice is the pits....and if he thinks this is bad, wait till DC really gets snow-in, and they do not clean the streets or pick up trash for days....

Dex got a good report this morning. He will stay on the risky but effective drops and all the other meds :) for 10 days. We don't go back til the 9th unless there is a change in the wrong direction. I feel so releived and Dex is acting so much more like today is a good one :).

I think it's going to rain in Shepherdstown later, which will help melt the snow.
But in the meantime, those sycamore leaves are much darker than snow, absorb light rather than reflect, which creates heat, which also melts snow. Very clever move by our pair.
