It was Sharon, who left the message this a.m. she is alive and well and kicking...didn't sleep too well last night, but is getting ready to get up and take a walk.
Sissy and Mattie are with her, but are getting ready to leave soon. Thelma is on her way.
Sharon said one resident told her she would probably be going home today, but Sharon thinks he is wrong.
Great news then. I'm glad she is doing well and who knows she may go home today. I know the insurance companies will make the hospital push patients out quickly and sometimes too quickly.

Good rainy morning!! It has been pouring since before dawn...we need it, but sure makes me lazy....just like Little Luney...can't tell whether he is yawning or just gumming his tongue...what a sweetie!! Encouraging report on our Sharon...they don't let you lay in bed much anymore....up and about to prevent complications like pneumonia and blood clots!! But considering the type of surgery, think going home today would definitely be premature.
Thursday, November 13 We have mentioned before that the giant pandas’ taste preferences are sometimes quite particular. Over the past month the pandas have been enjoying one of their fall favorites, black bamboo (Phyllostachys nigra). We have seen all three pandas eating both the leaves and culm, but because this bamboo species can sometimes be limited in supply, we have started our search for the next type of bamboo for the pandas to enjoy. Luckily, we have kept records of the pandas’ preferences over the last nine years. We decided to try bambusoides bamboo (a species they liked this time of the year two years ago). We tried the bambusoides (Phyllostachys bambusoides ) with all three pandas yesterday, and both Lun Lun and Yang Yang seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Mei Lan seemed a little less impressed, so we will be trying other species for her until we find one she likes.

Good Morning Everyone.. We have been having a very rainy morning. I dislike seeing wet leaves! Thanks so much for the update on Sharon - Pray that Sissy & Mattie have a safe trip home and thinking of Tom & Sissy.

HELEN---I remembered you were very sick----guess I just thought it was par for the course!!---So if the meds aren't bothering SHARON----She will heal faster!!----WHOA!!that would be a good thing!!!!
Great, and get rid of the spiderweb while you're there:) If you want to see what we have been doing this week, go to my blog- picture of the first pile of greens we collected-5 full van fulls!of cedar- rain slowed us down a little this morning, will get more evergreen and pine tomorrow.
I am afraid of spiders, too. But I tolerate them outside, cause I know they are good bug eaters... Now that pile of cedar, which is about 35 feet long, has to be cut into small pieces for wreaths, rain was good, will keep the pile fresh, but it will be soggy work for a few days.. I hope to start making wreaths next Thurs or Fri.
Having computer ... or software ... problems this morning, but it seems alright for now.
I found this new report on Buddy's progress, and even though I had thought I'd read the previous one, I hadn't. And there are some good pictures in the earlier report too.
Yeah, looks like the rain is finished here. We did really need it. I am making bows, doing housework and baking since I was too lazy to haul my butt outside in the rain this morning.
Wow, Megan, that is a pile of greens. Where do you get them all from? Do you ever find evidence of owls in the trees? Now that I know you find owls in cedar trees, I look for whitewash.
We have a neighbor that lets us go to his property and cut cedar, for a litle cash. He has 130 acres. My next door neighbor never trims her evergreens and so I do it for them every November and another neighbor had a pine tree that needs to be cut down, he saved it until now for me, I wil pay them with a wreath. I did see some whitewash on some of the cedar trees, didn't really know bird what it was from, we saw lots of hawks flying overhead while we were out there in the fields.
My sister called, she is getting ready for the Great Southern California Shakeout. It is an earthquake drill and since she just moved, she is taking time off work to participate in her new neighborhood.
When you go out next time, look for owls by the whitewash. All different kinds roost in cedar trees, I just learned that this fall. I want to see a saw-whet owl, they are so pretty.
Norma, to answer an earlier question ... before the puter went berserk ...
Much of the natural habitat around here has been sacrificed to development, but "Yes" there are still Bob Cats and Mountain Lions not too far from here in the Cleveland National Forest.
There have been fatal attacks on bikers and joggers from time to time by Cougars.
Well, Deb, if there were any owls in these trees, lets hope they flew away becasue some of the cedars were dropped by chain saw, sometimes we just trim branches, but other times we have to cut whole trees down, which I hate, but we use a lot of cedar.
Megan, cedar trees here spread so fast, too bad you can't come cut down some of ours. Farmers will spray them to kill them off, they would probably pay you to take them out!
5,000 dump truck loads of snow have been hauled out of Deadwood so far. They think they have 2 more days of hauling to go. They have used 6 dump sites for the snow. I can't imagine how much snow that is.
l Iove the blue berries on the cedars, Norma, as do most of my customers. Not a great berry year this time, last year they were loaded with berries. Cedars grow like weeds here, too, Deb. And the farmer who lets me onto his land is slowly cuting them down to make more fields. I bet we will only be able to go there for a couple more years:( then we may have to find another location.
Good afternoon everyone. Just wanted to say thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. They brought my ecards a while ago. That is so special. Ok, going to try to rest a little while. Will check back in a little later.
Just rest, Sharon, thanks for checking in with us. Glad the procedure went well, and you are on your way to recovery.Later you can let us know how many eagle ecards you got:)
Megan, actually, the ones that rest on a flat site. My parents are in the "Military Flat" portion of cemetery here, and my sister does not have a headstone yet...
Hello everyone-sitting here with Sharon, feeling particularly blessed. The power of prayer is abundantly felt!! I just talked to Beverly a few minutes ago. They are about an hour and a half from home right now. Love and Hugs!!

Duh, dryer setting was on Fluff No Heat, so I guess I get a "bye" on that project for a little while. But, there are some other things screaming my name, so I guess I better get my proverbial behind in gear. Memorial Service this afternoon for young man who died Sunday...
Hi Norma~ Yes, same time, same place! I have things to do but somehow at times this seems to be the most important thing to do... Grandson is a Hoot! I think I will get him a pile of Whoopee Cushions for Christmas!
Last thing I heard on Justice League Cartoon, from one of the characters on the BatMan segment...
Thanks, Paula...I was going to ask the same question...never heard of a camel cricket! Megan, that's one heck of a pile of greenery!! And your wreath from last year is beautiful!! Hey, Sharon, you sound good, girlfriend!! Back to bed and rest under Thelma's watchful eye! Jim, thanks for reminder about Buddy...I had checked last week and then forgot.
HI T-BIRD!!----Is the 'patient' being patient??---ho!---tell her we are all watching----if she doesn't behave!!!!----WE WILL ALL COME DOWN & KICK HER BOTTOM!!----ho!---take care----
Thanks, Helen....we always called them blind crickets....the pale ones seem to be in dark places, like basements, crawlspaces and woodpiles. Don't know why we thought they were blind!
Unless that spider is transplanted (to Megans) or killed (the only good spider is a dead spider IMHO), it will probably keep our cam messed up for a long time. Wish Lib or Belle for look up and grab a tasty morsel.
Earlier today I got up and walked down the hall and back. Just got more pain meds so when they kick in, I am going for my second walk. My goal today is 3 times of getting up. More will be revealed. My biggest hope is that I sleep tonight. Feeling a little bit like a zombie right now. Thelma just went down to get me some coffee. They have a coffee shoppe downstairs, not Starbucks but close.
I can so much feel the power of our eagle land during times like this. Awesome! Going to rest again. I will be back on later.
Hi everyone. Been a busy morning. Dentist checkup. Got wet. Went to Post Office Got wet. Went to Sam's club, Walmart and Target. Got wet. But we do need the rain. Sharon glad you are doing well. Helen was really ill from the meds and anesthesia but I think she did great for what she went through. As they say in obedience school. HEAL.
Lots going on in here... Daughter & gson left - I took a Nap - I spoke with our gal Sharon & now I am waiting for a son, gson & ggdaughter for dinner.
Sharon sounds great but they best start getting some real food to her. She was sitting up in her chair with laptop on her lap after just having taken another walk. Thelma is there & Sissy & Mattie are home. They printed off her ecards we had sent and brought them to her. Now that is state of the art progress for a hospital service. Well here comes the family... BBL
CEIL...for a city girl, you sure are a good TREE HUGGER. We have sycamores all over the place in our area (not our yard) and it never occured to me that might be bark. Makes sense.
But if they need to go up, now would be the time. Lets hope it goes away soon. We thought it might with all the rain this morning but doesn't look like it helped.

Maybe rain will clear it. Here's hoping.
as long as it is not really stuck in the web. Rain should help
I'm not sure it's a leaf. The edges are so straight. Of course anything up close gets distorted.

Oh T-Bird! We are so comforted that you are there...guess you couldn't bring Buddy, huh? I little pet therapy?
Give Sharon some ♥ ♥ ♥-ing for us !

What the heck is a camel cricket?
Get some rest, Sharon!!
Love ya!
Take your time Megan! Thanks!
Hello Megan and Norma
PAULA YOU HAVE MAIL.
MORNIN' MARGY!!---For once we are both up at the same time!---ho!
I always get on just as you say NITE!!----ho!---I hope you had fun with your grandson!!---I enjoy my grandsons too!---They are so inquisitive!!!---fun to be around!!
Take Care of The ones that Love You...
It is in my brain now, and heart.
xo ♥ ♥
T-Bird aka Florence Nightingale
xoxox ♥ ♥ ♥
Thanks, Paula...I was going to ask the same question...never heard of a camel cricket!
Megan, that's one heck of a pile of greenery!! And your wreath from last year is beautiful!!
Hey, Sharon, you sound good, girlfriend!! Back to bed and rest under Thelma's watchful eye!
Jim, thanks for reminder about Buddy...I had checked last week and then forgot.
CAMEL CRICKETS
Wish Lib or Belle for look up and grab a tasty morsel.
they sure aren't blind,I call them attack crickets, because when I go to kill them, they attack me...little varmints:(
Earlier today I got up and walked down the hall and back.
Yay Sharon! I am Woman!
SHARON go rest!!!!!!
HEAR ME ROAR!!
Yes, ma'am. ☺
Thanks, Mits
Yes Miss Sharon, back to bed!
I think Sharon has the Magpie Syndrome: Says "so long see you later" several times....and still lurks!
We Love you Sharon...and you better not be awake to read this!
We will come after you with an Eagle Cane !
♥ ♥ ♥
Hi everyone. Been a busy morning. Dentist checkup. Got wet. Went to Post Office Got wet. Went to Sam's club, Walmart and Target. Got wet. But we do need the rain.
Sharon glad you are doing well.
Helen was really ill from the meds and anesthesia but I think she did great for what she went through.
As they say in obedience school.
HEAL.
Megan, WOW. I bet it smells wonderful.
I am off to get wet again.
hey Ceil...stay dry..lol:)
2 moose on cam...
**TOTALLY AWESOME**
**SHARON**
iT is really very great to hear you are doing so well and then to see your eagle-eye comments on here already.
Have you seen any raptors overhead since the anesthesia wore off??
Keep warm and dry and get well ASAP, Sharon.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Moosies in view!!
OMG EAGLE ALERT OUR NEST!!!
Eagle
Eagle
Eagle
Hollerin here!!!
Eagle
Eagle!!
Still just one...I haven't seen them in ages!!
Eagle ALERT!!!!!!!!!
Still just one...I haven't seen them in ages!!
Eagle ALERT!!!!!!!!!
Eagle is gone, as far as I can tell...darn leaf still in the way, but sort of see thru...
I'm still not convinced that's a leaf Paula. Has two parallel straight edges.
Do you think there was an eagle in our nest? Thanks Paula. I missed it.
BBL
Red that is a sycamore tree maybe it is a piece of the bark.
I forgot about the bark of a sycamore tree Ceil. You are probably right.
I was just going to say the same thing...could be bark
Woof!!
CEIL...for a city girl, you sure are a good TREE HUGGER. We have sycamores all over the place in our area (not our yard) and it never occured to me that might be bark. Makes sense.
Whatever it is it has got to go.
Wanda I could not tell you one tree from the next but Jo always says sycamore tree. Reminds me of birch.
LOL
Before leaving - the PA woods cam has one horrible view. I guess we are to be looking for birds and not
deets & raccoons.
The bark or leaf is really cutting off the view of the rest of the nest w/ the nightlight on...
Ha ha Jo. Sure looks like something adjusted the cam.
Deer was at the moosecam
Has anyone told Steve about the cam. He may not be aware.
Yea, just a small bit of ground in PA near the stick owl.
REd, it's too far up the tree to just climb up....they need a bucket truck - I'm sure it will leave us soon...whatever it is!
But if they need to go up, now would be the time. Lets hope it goes away soon. We thought it might with all the rain this morning but doesn't look like it helped.
I see an eagle tail!!
Both are in the nest!!!!
Both still there, Belle headed to this end..
I think it's covering less of the view now than earlier...
Still 2 I think...nope maybe down to 1
Moosie back!
Eagles are gone, I believe
Yes, leaf/bark/ was covering half the nest earlier....
Gee - did everyone else miss them?
Maybe we just need some wind.
I saw them Paula. You were not alone.
Moosie still there~~
Is that a fake otter on the temp table at the snowman cam?
Wish that bark or leaf would take the rest of spideys web with it when it goes.
Good, Red...thanks.
