Good morning everyone once again. Hope that coffee is good and your day is even better. Thanks Steve

Good Morning Glo...coffe is good, I may have a second cup if the good Capt. left some. It is going to be another pretty day. GET OUT AND ENJOY IT...rake some leaves, take a hike or a long walk, look for eagles, or 4 leaf clovers...forget housework!

glo said...

Ha Ha Wanda I have been taking that advice for days now except for Sat when the boss said I had to go to work :). I think we still have a nice day in store for us here too. I will be outside soon. While I am thinking of it yes that was a picture of my Beta that you saw. I once had 20 aquariums in this house and raised angel fish. My kids used to tease me that if we had an earthquake I would drown. Only 2 of those aquariums were big though. Rest held various sizes of the "little" ones. I sold them to earn a 125 gal with the fixins that now belongs to my son. It was awesome fun and lots of work.

Good Morning All
Another beautiful day.
Was watching "my" two new cams last night. The does at the Snowman cam and the Okiebird cam appear to be well fed. They look like they are tame.
Are Lib and Belle preparing to heve more little ones??

Mema Jo said...

WOW! I wish they would condense the list down to 5 finalists!!!
Two or three are very appropriate & some of the others just aren't about our LUNEY! At least we have a month to think it over

Mema Jo said...

Morning Paul - The NCTC nest usually sees eggs during the month of Feb.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' JO!---Time to submit a name for LITTLE LUN or CC CUB---FROM THEIR LIST!

Mema Jo said...

Norma - guess I have some time to think them over - a dozen to choose
from is tooooooooo many!

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' PAULLEO!!---First time you have been on when I have been on!!----Happy to have you join us!!--

normabyrd said...

JO---They don't have a fourth of what the BW group had!!---ho!---They are listed on the ATLANTA CAM!

Red said...

Norma, I like FU MEI-----HANDSOME & HAPPY BOY too.
Good morning Paulleo.

Mema Jo said...

But remember that on BW anyone of us could submit names for their 2 and that is why there were so many - but we didn't get to vote on those.

I remember voting for Buta Buta
I'm not sure if I voted or had a chance to vote for ZZ. Do you remember?

Mema Jo said...

I guess Suz has a holiday today..and she saved gas on Friday..that gal sure knows how to schedule!!!

paula eagleholic said...

You could only vote for ZZ if you visited the zoo and voted...

Red said...

I sure will be happy to see all the political ads get off TV. I hate mud slinging and thats all they do now. They should tell me why I should vote for them, not why not to vote for someone else.

magpie said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds..."stay up late, get up late," that is my motto today.

It is soooooo nice to know that the Royal Pair dazzled the eyeballs and quickened the heart rate of many this morning!

Before I forget: IF the skies are clear tonight, look for the Moon, will be dazzlingly close to Jupiter after sunset, and Venus will be hanging around a little further West. Look South/South West for the view....

xo

MITS said...

Jo,Suzanne is working today, she had off Friday

Mema Jo said...

I sent the article to Suzanne about
the names suggested for Luney

normabyrd said...

JO!---I talked with SUZANNE early this am!!!

normabyrd said...

I am working at the POLLS tomorrow-----MUST BE THERE BY 5:30 a.m.----
Getting ready to get to market for food!!----etc!-only thing that worries me is getting to the 'church on time'!!!

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!!!!

NatureNut said...

Happy Monday Eagle Buds!!!
Had to go to work today, BOO, gray and a little gloomy here, but saw a cute, "hovering" ruby-crowned kinglet in the Butterfly Garden getting flower seeds. Of course my camera was in the office.
I like the Fu Mei panda name, too. Think it describes him well.If we win, we can all go to Atlanta!!!LOL

hedgie said...

Just stopping in to say hi.....taking a break from blowing leaves! Haven't read the blog today...will have to do that later! Just wanted to share my idea! Let's all wear our Eagle beads tomorrow when we go to vote...they are so patriotic!!!!
Later, friends!

magpie said...

Cool Idea Hedgie!

Good Afternoon Now, Everyone...
Although Wanda suggested to "forget housework" - I'm afraid I cannot ignore it....

So, going to get started, with the Eagle Pop Up Cam visible of course !

xo

Mema Jo said...

Norma I would not be the one to give you a wake up call tomorrow. Here's
hoping the polls are busy all day and will keep you awake and alert!
Our polls close at 8:00 - that will be one long day for you! Hope you have a comfy chair!!

REMEMBER TO VOTE TOMORROW

Red Just like you I turn the volume off every time the news or an advertisement comes on - This is not the week to watch politics on TV

Mema Jo said...

I will be back later

Lunch time......

deb said...

I have good news here, I didn't break my camera! I thought I had for a while this morning, finally hooked up with Nikon support and I am back in business.

Next the street sweepers are here collecting all the leaves. The wind is out of the south, so the neighbor's trees across from me aren't burying me, like they normally do.

Lastly, other than the wind it is a beautiful day. I can enjoy it now that I don't have to worry about my camera anymore.

paula eagleholic said...

Nature - love your avatar

Deb - glad the camera is back working again...we love your pics

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, I just cast the most important vote of 2008 - for Luney's name! Everything else will just be secondary! :)

Beautiful day outside. Errands to run and dental cleaning.

Must check out Baby Cub Luney Chinese names and vote. Thanks for the heads up.

Old Spidey has been with us from the very beginning. There was an Osprey streaming live cam that had "Charlotte the Spider". She later had a male friend. Some of you might remember Charlotte.

Thanks Norma for checking the donkeys.

Sharon and Sissy glad you trip weather was nice.

I had heard the Ozzy Osbourne was in Yankton last week, guess the whole family was:

A film production crew tried to keep it under wraps, but it was no secret that legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his family were in Yankton last week shooting footage for a new television series.

Inside a house that's listed in the phone book as being home to Ozzie and Donna Osborn, the rock star Osbourne, his wife, son and daughter visited with the occupants.

deb said...

Lynn, they found your junk!

A refrigerator-sized piece of space junk fell harmlessly into the South Pacific Sunday night, according to NASA.

Peregrines are shown to be year-round is this area, however can be somewhat nomadic in winter according to 2 bird guides. So, Margy, there is no real answer! DUH!
Deb, thx for "fridge" info. Saw a big story about supposed entering, but no follow up. Good to know it didn't hit anyone!

Mema Jo said...

Great News Deb! I can now stop looking up for the junk & concentrate
on the eagles!

Thanks for the Frodocam news, Jim
They used to be our center of attraction and I do miss watching them

Checked out ZZ and she is still asleep on the limb. I'm not sure I have ever been that relaxed - I wish!

I thought Mits emailed me and said she had her shift today and would be staying for the speaker after her shift!
I know it is usually WED...

Where is Ceil? Is she still in the corner until Mits comes home?

CEIL WHERE ARE YOU

magpie said...

I just hear a loon at the Maine Cam.

I was wondering about CEIL too, know MITS was around earlier as I got some Finney and NCTC pics...

I wish chunk junk had landed on this apartment, then I could really get a clean start !

Howdy and Good Afternoons to Everyone! Paula - glad you had a nice visit with your Mother...prayers every day, for so many....

xo

magpie said...

Man oh man, OUR NEST looks like a little fort!

Time for some Eagles to come play in it....

wvgal_dana said...

I voted for our panda cub already.

I was just thinking before I read your comment Margy. Our nest looks beautiful with that colorful leave laying in there. ( :

magpie said...

Yup, Dana, leaf looks like a little picnic cloth !

wvgal_dana said...

Just got dark at Maine

Mema Jo said...

Our Nest: The higher they build that 12 o'clock area the better to keep the snow out! It worked well last year and I think they learned from the year before with the fatal snow storm.

The square object at 12 noon - isn't that a present or a pillow for the egg cup? lol

There is Spidey already - he's used to this time change already.

BBL Eating grilled hotdogs!
with mustard! no onion - they make me burp!!!

magpie said...

The picture frame is out for the Eagles! Now, they need to pose inside of it !

Moon is out, and Jupiter just above it in the South sky...cannot see Venus yet - -

magpie said...

I think BWO is kinda, frozen shall we say? At least mine is...

hedgie said...

Hey, Deb, thanks for info! Hadn't heard any news today, so was wondering if it came down in a big piece or broke up on entry!!
Ocean was a safe place for it to land!
Wonder if Lolly knows there was an earthquake in Texas (Fr. or Sat...can't remember which!)...insignificant, of course, but still not a common occurrence!
I voted....I like Xi Lan...it gives Atlanta a bit of recognition!
Heard that China is "giving" Taiwan two pandas.
I am one tired eagle-lover....I should probably take a panda nap to get rested before the REDSKINS game!! Dinner's on the stove...food and nap..sounds good to me! BBL.

magpie said...

Hot Dogs and mustard...one of my favorite meals, JO ! No onions here either !

NatureNut said...

Getting dark--doesn't look like a nest visit tonight :>((((

NatureNut said...

magpie said...

Kind of thinking the same thing, Loretta....

BWO is unfrozen, and dark now.

And Moon, Jupiter and Venus look good here in Berkeley County !

magpie said...

But I haven't given up yet for a visit...
gives me a chance to quite housework for awhle...

Good Evening Everyone.. Jo the parade was wonderful but i was disappointed some what because the floats just werent as big or beautiful as back then...But the weather was nice... Rememebr we had Devore floats and they were always elaborate.. Jazzy loved the parade!!! But fell asleep at the end out at the end.. I voted on the baby pandas name and DONT FORGET TO GO VOTE TOMORROW!!!! checking cams BBL

magpie said...

Hi Nilla, Good to "see" you. I went to the Mummer's Parade one time, in 1980 I think, it was great. We had a little one with us who fell asleep as well....she's a big girl now!

xo

magpie said...

Well, we have racoons in Pennsylvania at least...something fuzzy and lively...

magpie said...

There is a HERD of Racoons in the field !

magpie said...

Finally found it!

Many racoons are referred to as a Gaze of Racoons , or, in the South, according to Google, they call them: A Mess o'Racoons!

paula eagleholic said...

Love my hotdogs with mustard and chopped onions!

I like a "mess" of raccoons! :)

deb said...

I like my hot dogs with the works: ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, onions! Sometimes with chili, too.

paula eagleholic said...

Chili and Cheese and jalapeno peppers is my next pick.

paula eagleholic said...

Glad BWO is unstuck!

magpie said...

Me too, Paula...that Eagle was in that stance for a looooong time.
Pelican Harbor looks so serene...

Jalapeno peppers, one of my brother's favorites, he puts it with peanut butter on crackers....(bleah) and recently put it in oatmeal (double bleah!)...

deb said...

I agree, Margy, that sounds awful.

deb said...

The weather this last week has been so wonderful you knew it was too good to last. Thursday reality hits, highs in the 30's and 40's, lows in the 20's. Last night the low was 54! The "s" word is in the forecast for Friday. Luckily, I will be in the Black Hills, where there isn't any snow forecast.

magpie said...

Yes, DEB, he has some pretty kooky likings...I have a feeling he had the Jalapenos in the Oatmeal only ONCE - -

Heading out for a short bit, you folks have a nice evening...I think all the Redskins and Steelers fans are getting revved up !

Too bad BOTH TEAMS CAN'T WIN

xo

paula eagleholic said...

My brother would probably do that too...he's a hot pepper freak...although not sure about the oatmeal :-0

deb said...

There is something black on the snowman cam, behind the cat on the table. It doesn't move much, but I am thinking "BEAR".

paula eagleholic said...

Deb - how far away are the Black Hills?

magpie said...

WHOA DEB! THAT SOUNDS COLD. I HAVE SOME INSULATED HEAVY DUTY BIB OVERALLS...MAYBE I SHOULD SEND THEM TO YOU...!

deb said...

Bear it is, I just saw the head. It is sitting up now.

deb said...

And there it goes, off to the left.

magpie said...

Well I saw that too then he sauntered off = still on the still cam if you don't refresh...

deb said...

That's just the beginning, Margy. It will get much colder.

magpie said...

Wow he's back, I can't leave home yet...

hedgie said...

Game time! Go Skins!
Jalapenos...yummmm. I would try the peanut butter, but not the oatmeal...that sounds double-yuck.
Did anyone ever have peanut butter on a tuna sandwich? It is VERY good. I kid you not!

magpie said...

Looks like the Bear is eating something....almost looks like, something with a tail...!

Costume Lady said...

I vote for Chili Dogs with cheese. Ummmm!

Costume Lady said...

Did everybody got out and enjoy this wonderful day and forget housework?

deb said...

I mowed up leaves, does that count??

paula eagleholic said...

Bear is still behind the snowman

Costume Lady said...

VERY GOOD, DEB!

Costume Lady said...

SKINS HAVE TWO FIELD GOALS...GO SKINS!!!

paula eagleholic said...

NOT talking politics here...but did ya'll know there's a superstition that in an election year, if the Redskins win their game right before the Presidential election, the party in the White House will remain in the White House?

paula eagleholic said...

I am switching between the game and DWTS - did you know Susan Lucci is 61???

magpie said...

WHAT is that little white ball in the middle of OUR NEST? Almost gave me heart failure !

magpie said...

Never mind - whatever it WAS is now GONE - it almost looked like a miniature eagle....I can't take it !

Costume Lady said...

I knew she was getting up there, but didn't know she was that old. She has had some body and face work done, which helps.

magpie said...

I'm also real curious about that pile of debris where the Bear was the first time....

Costume Lady said...

Margy, you need some sleep. LOL

magpie said...

Wanda I hate to tell you this but I have been doing housework all day, but the kind that means going through boxes and clutter and going crazy! I'd rather have had the dust cloth and vacuum running...Once a packrat, always a packrat I fear...

magpie said...

I like the ever-changing avatars, folks!

Yeah, I probably do need some z's Wanda - I'm off tonight and tomorrow so got to do some catching up....

deb said...

I just got an osprey update, and 3 of the birds are doing well. Something is wrong with one of them, but of co urse, we don't know what. It hasn't shown on the radar since the 21st of October. I e-mailed back and asked if it could be the radio unit. I sure hope so. Avista was last in Columbus, Georgia/Phenix, Alabama area.

The other 3 seem to have settled in to the same locations as the last update..

Drag Queen is in La Coma, Mexico
Wayne is in Steinhatchee, FL
My namesake is in the Mississippi Delta area north of Empire, LA

Costume Lady said...

Deb, where Oh where did the name Drag Queen come from?

magpie said...

Okay, Deb, we will waiting for the updates. What a traveling band of gypsies! Nice warm weather, sounds good!
I sure hope the problem is a radio problem only...

Feather prayers....for all of them.

paula eagleholic said...

I missed the bear leaving...

gLad you got a couple of days, Margy

paula eagleholic said...

Nope there's the bear

magpie said...

Oh, bother! Little white apparition back at our nest....

Bear is in full view now...back at the unknown pile of stuff...

Guess he's hungry too....

MITS said...

HELLO....it was zoo day today...our regular Wednesday monthly meeting had to be tonight to accommodate our speaker...J Gayle Howard.....she is the doc that does the artificial insemination's on Mei Xiang...very interesting....and we get our updates from all the keepers and all animals are doing well....trail was great today, all the animals were out and about, I see some of you saw them on the cams. Got my regular Wednesday shift this week.....Cams next week:)

magpie said...

I hate to say this but it looks tail and legs of something...
I know they are omnivores....but I hope it is just vegetable or plant...

deb said...

Drag Queen got her name because when she flew, she drug her left leg. We could always tell when she was flying in, because you could see her leg/talon. So she started out as Drag, then evolved into Drag Queen. Mostly we call her Drag. I'll find a picture.

magpie said...

Hi MITS Welcome Back!

Thanks, Paula....

Costume Lady said...

What a cute story, Deb. You all must have a blast.

deb said...

By the way, she outgrew it. Janie thinks it must have been a pulled or weak muscle that eventually healed. We were worried she wouldn't be albe to catch a fish.

Picture is loading.

Monday, November 3
Ladies and gentlemen, the time for you to exercise your democratic right is now. Do not let the opportunity pass to be a part of this historic election. Be sure to make your voices heard.

In other words …Panda polls are now open!*

Meanwhile, back at the den, the ever-developing, ever-endearing cub and his mom are engaged in the enterprise of giant panda life, blissfully oblivious to the naming campaign hubbub! Lun Lun carries on with her bamboo munching and cub rearing. The cub is achieving his assigned tasks - to put on weight, to learn new motor skills, to gain strength and to be as charming as possible. Yesterday his weight was recorded as 2,915 grams (~6.42 pounds).

*Check for the list of possible cub names and voting instructions on the voting webpage. Results will be revealed at the upcoming 100-day Naming Celebration on December 8th.

Not a happy Hedgie here. I usually never give up on my Skins, but I am totally disgusted tonight. They might as well have handed the game to the Steelers on a platter. What a farce.
I'm giving up and going to take my bath. See you all tomorrow.
WEAR YOUR BEADS WHEN YOU GO TO THE POLLS!!

Good Morning all. Got my eagle beads ready too. Covering the day with prayers.

And I have 2 eyeballs also peeled to the nest hoping to catch a glimpse of the symbol of our freedom.

MeMa Jo I am so glad to read of a good ER visit.

Morning Eagle Buds, Glo, Wanda, Gene, and others. Have not seen our Royal Pair yet, but I think we will. Bwo looks all feathery and kind of weird this morning, maybe moisture on the lens...

Yes, it feels good to have these beads on. I am going to jump on Yahoo and pass the word to those who might not be able to access the Blog....

Take Care, Love to all of you.

Good Morning to Everyone!

Many places getting rain today.

"JO" So GLAD your report showed no blood clots. You know we have been there with them. Praise God for His greatness to YOU ( :

Will be voting but not so early. Letting those that need to go to work. Do their early AM voting.

Watched (some of the game) of the Skins getting beat last night. Hubby was happy he is a Steeler Fan. I won out all the way around Skin first Steeler 2nd.

Hoping for an Eagle Visit this AM.

Good Morning Dana!
I was thinking about Ed with the Steelers win, knew he would be happy about it...
Sorry for the Redskins fans, though, know Washington can and will do better!

Bring on the Eagle Pair! We need our Feather Inspiration for the Day...
