Despite all the snow and rain, surface debris is quite dry around here. Lots of brush fires......and no some CRIMINAL---imho---has thrown lit paper along the interstate. And will probably never get caught. ARGH!!
What's up with cake! I so wish I had another piece of the P-nut Butter pie from TGIF! It is soooooo delicious that I could get in the car right now and go order it and a cup of coffee.
Here is your Yuckie laugh for the day
This early morning I had taken 2 short sips of hot coffee and just had the thought that on some mornings my coffee is soooo good and then some other mornings it just isn't - It must be my taster, right? WRONG! I glanced at my coffee cup and floating along the edge in my coffee was the dreaded Stink Bug That sure woke me up! YUCK!
Okay, that was very interesting. Lily was out of the den again and Hope was very vocal. However, she was more than vocal, she was all but out of the den. Was following comments on facebook. Everyone was thinking this was it...she was leaving. Got some cute pics. Lily finally came back. Wonder why she left?????
Sounds like Lily and Hope are reunited and less noisy now. My goodness, that cub can raise a ruckus!! What a wonderful view of that little spoiled brat:)
Thanks, S. Hunter. I don't know if anyone answered your question about the food Liberty brings in when an egg hatches, but he always brings a lot of some food in, yes.
Last year he brought TWO rabbits in shortly after the chick hatched you might recall.
Great pic Shirley and as you say it adds more to our mystery. I think it is the fluff instead of a crack that we see on the egg. Or is it a little bit of both - fluff and crack! lol I hope we soon know for sure! Just need to see a little bobble head!
Lolly - Dr R was at the den trying to get the mic back in position. Hope was calling for her Mom the whole time she was gone. Some of us on here were watching and Hope almost did come out of that den looking for her mom!
Way back there on the comments I said I was going to rest my eyes and put the drops in them. I surely DID THAT.....I FEEL ASLEEP!
I have tried everything to get the live feed. For me I do NOT feel it is Outdoors problem. I have NO VIRUS but my computer hasn't been right since I upgraded to IE 8. Has anyone else got IE 8?
Maybe Paula or Margy could send Steve PattiO's concerns about a possible virus problem; he could discuss it with OutdoorChannel and see what they think.
She threw her head back and let out a big call then a few more calls not quite as intense but you could tell she meant business, then she stepped back - that's when it looked like the gray blob was visible
OK Hope is missing. Lily is grunting a dog is barking near their den and we need to see Palmer or whatever is behind Belle. It is time for my heart medication again.
Thank you for all of your input and I apologize if I sounded rude. I am not new to cam watching and I do know the costs and technicalities of bringing the cams to the internet and I was very happy when ODC first took over the cam - it seemed to be running wonderfully. I do have proper protection on my computer and run CCleaner a couple times a day. I did send emails to 3 different addys but never got a response from any of them.
So, anyway ... I just saw a pic posted on the Maine forum that almost looked like a chick. Waiting to get a peek myself.
Thanks, Lolly. I do have until Tuesday. At least I think I do. They have been asking us to post some things on Sunday so others have time to comment. I think I can at least post a draft and say it is a work in progress and ask for suggestions. That would generate some comments. Last time I looked, only one person had posted. This group hasn't been too speedy about posting assigned work.
Laurel called. She said they had about an inch on snow on the ground, about two inches on the patio table and grill. They have an upstairs covered porch. She said it was covered in snow...the wind was blowing something fierce.
Plano, just a little ways east of Laurel, got 8 inches of snow!
I got a little nervous when I got a message about malware when I looked at a website related to my assignment. Surely do not want viruses on my computer, nor do I want to send any to my class--neither the one in which I am a student nor the one in which I am the teacher.
I went looking for the Maine cam and found one, but not sure if it was the right one. Did not know how to find a picture there, and did not want to stay away from here too long.
Well, I am thinking T-Bird must have posted on under my blog account because I am not home from Bluefield. I am still in Bluefield waiting to hear from Andrew. Going to Wytheville to meet them for dinner and a hug.
When she got up that time the little gray blob was visible, I couldn't see any white egg shell, so I'm guessing the hatching happened and pieces were broken and the bright white was all facing toward bottom of the cup.
Now she's not doing any of that up and down, antsy behavior that she'd been doing earlier either. So signs are suggesting that Palmer is here. Maybe fishing isn't good today so that's why proud Papa hasn't shown up just yet, and maybe she's waiting for him to arrive.
I do not know about ya'll, but I have tears in my eyes. I just did not know if we would have a lil Palmer or not. This is one happy day, but brings the hurt to the surface as well.
PattiO, last year we lost a dear fellow eaglet momster, Deb Palmer, to cancer. The pic on the main blog page of both eagles was one she had taken. So we decided in her memory to name our first eaglet after her.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!! ("I want what SHE had"). Congrats to Belle and Lib, and to all of us Momsters and Dadsters!!! And a toast to our sweet Deb! I had so many fears that we were not going to have a good season... oh, ye of little faith! Whoopie!!!!
PattyO, Deb's passing was very sudden. She was a great nature lover and great photographer. She lived in South Dakota but many of us met her at open house 2008. That is when she took her fantastic picture of Belle and Lib.
Now that we know for sure.....as much as I would like to wait for Lib......I must go to store. Out of dog food!!!! Been putting off going for two days, and now it's a must. BBL! I sent Margy a text message...so she knows!!
LOLLY Your avatar says it all; a big sunny smile with Deb smiling down with sun beams on our little Miracle Palmer. Of course she had a hand in this miracle. She wouldn't have had it any other way.
Thanks, Candy! Just trying to bring sunshine into the lives of all! It was so cold this morning! I have sworn I will never complain of heat ever again!
Paula, Thx for the Baby Pictures!! I saved them. See it was 7 minutes before I got back online. I'll be glued to Still for pics now!!! (Soon need an Xtra hard drive!!LOL)
I twittered at Lisa, someone send her an email...I have to jump in the shower and am uploading the video to youtube...going to son's for dinner tonight!
Thanks for yelling. I am here. Sunny I am sure Deb helped us get her namesake. With the weather at the nest and Belle had to lay a 4th egg. Love you Deb. I am crying to for joy and sadness.Welcome Palmer and have a long life.

I took the picture just a little while ago.

Lolly - Dr R was at the den trying to get the mic back in position.
Hope was calling for her Mom the whole time she was gone. Some of us on here were watching and Hope almost did come out of that den looking for her mom!
Hope nursed for a while, but Lily and left the den again!!!!
Taking an hour break
Hope Lib comes in for a switch..
Maybe you can get another great pic for us Shirley.
BBILW
Hope left the den and returned. Squalling. Fell back in.
OH, JO....A TRUE yuck!
You can enlarge my pic, but I don't think it helps. I kind of think it's just some fluff from the nest, but not sure.
Den is empty.
I have to look in on my class website. At least. I really have a lot of work to do on my assignment.
Wow, empty den! What a day! Wonder if Lily was looking for the treats Dr Lynn brings?
Bears are back
Bears are gone!
Gotta head to the recycle place....bbl
Way back there on the comments I said I was going to rest my eyes and put the drops in them. I surely DID THAT.....I FEEL ASLEEP!

Just heard hope, and the cam was moving a little.
OH sorry by the way Hedgie-Lynn
IT IS SO GREAT YOU CAN GET THE CAM NOW. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING FOR YOU ( :
Lily again...they are right outside the den.
Mine is fine on IE 8
I gots to go!
I have IE 8 and doing fine. When I first start up the cam, I just have to try and try and try. Once it is up it does fine.
Hear Hope! She is out of the den, out of sight, but can occasionally hear her.
I think that female Osprey has decided to stake out BWO as her territory.
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
Ahh, Jim, I see her with a stick in her beak.
There is just too much to watch! Belle, empty den, and osprey...plus all the little eaglets. This woman's work is never done....always watching cams.☺
Calling - can't hear, but you can see that's what's going on
Looks like we have a hatching!
Maybe Paula or Margy could send Steve PattiO's concerns about a possible virus problem; he could discuss it with OutdoorChannel and see what they think.
Thanks Lynn for the EENET link
I got the still up...come on little Palmer!!!!
I didn't see any egg shell - possibly gray eaglet there in the cup when she backed off?
I saw a chick and egg pieces. There wasn't any movement, but I'm sure the little one is plum tuckered out! Hatching is hard work!!
Well, Belle, turn or move so we can see something!!
Cam is back to the 14 second freezes....
I saw a chick! Couple of minutes ago, she happened to move out of the way just long enough.
It plays for 7 or 8 secs and then stops for 14.
Yes my cam pauses and catches up every few seconds. I'm using Google Chrome.
I'm so happy we have a hatching today!
Looks like she is calling out....maybe letting Lib know that it's time for FOOD drop for a baby!!
Did someone say they saw a little bobble head in our nest? My pic went and I missed it.
Delphia, you sure you saw a chick? How exciting to hear that they at least had one of the four after all they went through!
DId you get a pic, Delphia?
OK have you all gone to some other chatroom. No posts for like 10 mins. Guess I shut you down. I will be quiet now.
Thank you for all of your input and I apologize if I sounded rude. Think we are all glued to the cam, PattiO!
Sorry, double posted. :)
Okay, I may need a note from someone explaining why I didn't do my homework. I could not stay away.
This is too exciting.
I can even stay home tomorrow and work on my assignment. At my age, I have earned a few privileges!
Put the Maine Forum pic on my blog..........see what you all think!
Can't believe how FAST I can do it now with DSL!!!
Of course, as always, Blog time is off by 3 hrs.!!!
Wondering where Lib is???
Also, wonder how long it takes Dr. Rogers to get to the den and back...still no sign of Lily or Hope----and no update on FB about it.
Yes, this is just too exciting. We all need lil Palmer to make an appearance. We NEED him!
Hello everyone. Home from Bluefield. Hoping to see a chick.
Shirley, can I send an email explaining why you could not work today? Will they accept my note? LOL
Looks a lot like an eaglet to me, Lynn.
My jubby has left me. I am sad. Told him I was going to be lonely. He laughed and said I would have my eagles and bears.
In case you can't tell (no sound!), the wind is blowing a good bit here. Belle's head feathers are getting ruffled in it.
Maybe those were cracks in the egg in my pic.
Laurel called. She said they had about an inch on snow on the ground, about two inches on the patio table and grill. They have an upstairs covered porch. She said it was covered in snow...the wind was blowing something fierce.
Plano, just a little ways east of Laurel, got 8 inches of snow!
Well, the eagles and bears have been very busy today, Lolly.
Eight inches? Lordy, Lolly!
Shirley, wonder where the shell is hiding??
Like Laurel said...70 Friday, snow on Saturday. If you don't like the weather...wait a day...it will change.
I want to see Lib, I want to see fish, or rabbit, or squirrel. Remember last year...omg...the nest was a mess with food.
I got a little nervous when I got a message about malware when I looked at a website related to my assignment. Surely do not want viruses on my computer, nor do I want to send any to my class--neither the one in which I am a student nor the one in which I am the teacher.
Maybe behind Belle, Lynn.
I have returned from my hour break and it seems like everything is breaking loose!
Show me! Please! I want to celebrate.
I think that was a call for papa. Mouth opened wide. Wish we had sound.
I looked at Kittenface's pic
It sure could be Little Palmer....
Jo, could you post the link to the Maine forum so we can go see the picture.
It's on my blog!
LOL, Sharon!!! And she hasn't been back, either!! Oh, Thelma!!! Where ARE you???
Shar---thought you were going to Bristol...???
I thought I said hi a minute ago but I can't find it. Anyway-I made it home to Bedford thinking by the time I got here we would have our Palmer.
LOL That is funny, Sharon. Isn't there a law against impersonating a person? She has stolen your identity!!!
Maine Forum for NCTC updates
That looks like an eaglet to me, Lynn.
I know what happened. I was signed in under Sharon's account. I guess I wasn't as crazy as I thought. : ) That is too funny.
She's up, video is rolling
We have an eaglet! I saw movement!
Move, Belle!
iT IS A CHICK!!
There's half a shell still there
tWO HALVES OF AN EGG WAS ONTHE RIGHT
Well Thelma are you home from Bluefield and now in Bedford
OR
is that you Sharon still in Bluefield?
lol
I thought I saw a piece of shell by her tail before I left, but I couldn't be sure!
Lily best better bring that cub home!
Maybe she decided to move on......
OMG Thanks Lynn! I do believe we have little Palmer!
Whoopee!!!!!!!!!!!! Just saw Palmer with my own two eyes!!!!!!
Send up the fireworks....pass the cigars! No wait....just pass a glass!

lOLLY, you are so funny.
We're grandparents! Palmer is here!!!! YAY!!
WAX!! NORMABYRD, WHERE ARE YOU?
I guess Belle's flapping of her wings meant she was a little excited about their new chick.
I do not know about ya'll, but I have tears in my eyes. I just did not know if we would have a lil Palmer or not. This is one happy day, but brings the hurt to the surface as well.
WHOO HOO
WOWSIE WOWSIE
SPREAD THE GOOD CHEER
CELEBRATE LITTLE PALMER
Where in heck is Lib?????
Belle is doing a little clean up. She just threw some egg shell out of the cup.
36 days...that was faster than I thought we would have a hatch!
Heck, I do not have tears in my eyes, they are streaming down my face!
I have tears of joy too...streaming down my cheeks...
Life is good. God watched over little Palmer in the egg and brought him /herthrough for Belle Land Lib.
I can't wait till she lets us have a better look. Sure looked like a chick! Just curious ... where did you all come up with the name Palmer?
I am so thrilled. I knew we would have a little Palmer this year, no doubt in my mind.
been outside all day but have checked in now and then...
WELCOME PALMER!!!!
anyone seen Lib lately?
PattiO, last year we lost a dear fellow eaglet momster, Deb Palmer, to cancer. The pic on the main blog page of both eagles was one she had taken. So we decided in her memory to name our first eaglet after her.
Glad you are here, PattiO.
We lost our dear friend and fellow Momster last November, Deb Palmer.
One very welcomed and already very loved little eaglet. I think I see joyful tears in heaven too. Somehow in my heart I just know that is true.
I put 2 pics on the EM blog
PattiO, Deb Palmer was a very special member of our group who passed away unexpectedly in November.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!! ("I want what SHE had"). Congrats to Belle and Lib, and to all of us Momsters and Dadsters!!! And a toast to our sweet Deb! I had so many fears that we were not going to have a good season... oh, ye of little faith! Whoopie!!!!
Ohhhh, I remember seeing Deb's posts. I didn't know she had passed away - that is so sad. Palmer is most fitting then. :)
We don't have Norma and Judie right now. Trying to think of who else is missing.
Sent an email to Dianne, Pam and Amanda with the pic attached!
OMG!!!Just got back from store. I don't think I heard any Hollering! But that's OK, I've read the news!!!!WELCOME PALMER, OUR MIRACLE BIRD!!!!!
PattyO, Deb's passing was very sudden. She was a great nature lover and great photographer. She lived in South Dakota but many of us met her at open house 2008. That is when she took her fantastic picture of Belle and Lib.
Thanks Lynn! I am thinking of them.
Good Pics Paula. Thanks
You would think that papa would come in for a bit of celebration.
Wanda!!!! Where is Wanda?
I know I joined all of you with some fears of NOT having that beautiful 4th egg hatching and presenting us with
Little Palmer! Thank you Lord!
I think Belle is looking for him. Maybe he has been fishing.
I think Deb is up there smiling!
Lynn, thx, I thought of same thing--they should know.
Suzanne still doesn't have email at home, does she??
Belle looks like she is looking for Lib.
Do you think Deb had a hand in this little miracle?
Great, Paula!!! Thanks.
Now that we know for sure.....as much as I would like to wait for Lib......I must go to store. Out of dog food!!!! Been putting off going for two days, and now it's a must. BBL!
I sent Margy a text message...so she knows!!
I have so much to do but I can't pull myself away. This is truly a miracle chick!
Did anyone e-mail Lisa at BW? She'll want to put this on their site!!
Glad you got those pictures Paula. I was so busy looking that I forgot about pictures. Can not look and take pics at the same time. Duh!!!
WANDA!! JUDIE!! NORMA!! Where are you????
Mits has not been on either!!!!
LOLLY Your avatar says it all; a big sunny smile with Deb smiling down with sun beams on our little Miracle Palmer. Of course she had a hand in this miracle. She wouldn't have had it any other way.
MARGY!, Are you at work? 911! 911!
I called Suz not knowing if anyone else has done so. She's Happy Happy !!
We need MITS on here with her nest forecast for tomorrow. I hope the sun still keeps shining on our nest.
MITS!!! CEIL!!
I don't usually yell.
Thanks, Candy! Just trying to bring sunshine into the lives of all! It was so cold this morning! I have sworn I will never complain of heat ever again!
I just called Mits and told her! Who have we missed?
Don't you think the pic I got was really the egg cracking open? I do.
Hedgie already texted Margy and she is
HAPPY HAPPY and on her way home.
Talk about shouting...that is what I am going to do when Lib flies in. I do not like this long wait!
We have missed Norma and Wanda....
I am watching XAVIER v. PITT now!!-----tied 9 v 9!!---
How do I get LADY BELLE off the nest so I can see 'PALMER'???--
Shirley, I think you're right. At least some of that shell must have been cracked.
Mits will probably call Ceil.
Who is calling whom? Holler or hold up your hand.
Boy, it sure does look like Belle is looking for Lib. Bet he's catching a whale!
I don't have Judie or Lynne's numbers.
Going to get something to eat...
There's our chick!!
E-mailed Judie. Will call if I don't hear from her.
That time I saw movement!
Just saw that little precious baby.
I see Palmer! She is beautiful!! Looks just like her mommy!
Lynne!!
I gotta get in the shower
First peek at Palmer
Glad you saw movement,k-bird. That is very good!!
YAY! Daddy's here!
Food feathers and Lib have arrived. Our family is together.
Wahooooooo!!!!1
Lib brought a wee fish!
Will someone please put up the blue link on here for our LIVE CAM. I'm trying something. Thank you.
Great pic now---looks like baby & an eggshell.
She is not even completely out of the egg yet!!!
We got a hatch!!
Oh, can hardly hold its head up and here comes food. Oh, wonderful day.
Wow, how precious. I think it is still partly in the egg?
LIB, we need food, not fluff!
did I just see the little one???
Nest
Here you go Dana
Yes, Donnie! Palmer has arrived.
Jo, I sent a picture to Lisa. Going to send another of the whole family.
I had a feeling today was a good day to stop in....
I sent an email to Steve and the outdoor channel, too.
Thanks for yelling. I am here. Sunny I am sure Deb helped us get her namesake. With the weather at the nest and Belle had to lay a 4th egg. Love you Deb. I am crying to for joy and sadness.Welcome Palmer and have a long life.
I emailed Chrissy & called Suzanne, & she said Jo called her.
