Thanks Steve for the new thread and thanks Judy & Lynne1 for the call over.

gm everyone. Today we should get that long awaited phone call. Life has taught me that it may not happen til Monday but I know my daughter is waiting for that phone to ring. She is doing well after surgery. Has her little dog home with her today. He loves his mommy and was glad to be able to come home from dog sitter last night. Very much a lap dog but is learning to lie on a pillow right beside her for now. I am going to be at church over lunch time to help in the kitchen for a large funeral so may not be able to report til late afternoon.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Thanks to STEVE for the new weekend, RED FRIDAY thread!! And kudos to both JUDY and LYNNE1 our eagle eyed co-feather wearers of the day!

SANDI, I'm with you---stickin' with Windows 7 in a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" frame of mind.

JUDY, glad you got to sleep in a bit---a sure sign Jordyn is growing up!

JUDIE, glad Darth enjoyed his special dinner with his very special date!

GLO, good news from AZ! Happiness is being well enough to have one's dog back home and I'm happy for your dear daughter. Good on you for helping with the memorial luncheon---I've been in on many of those from both sides and know how comforting that kind of fellowship is!

Wishing you all a good day and praying for those in need as I head for e-mail, news reading and beyond....

Good morning.

Steve, thank you for the Fresh Friday thread. Thank you, JudyE for the call over and congratulations on the new feather.

Hi Lynne1.

Glo, thoughts will be with you and Becky today. May the phone call bring good news.

Hoping Shirley can bring Luna home and all will be okay. Sorta think Smokey might just welcome Luna home with lots of purrs and kitty kisses.

This is my week to rival Jo for eating out. Dinner last night was good. Headed out to lunch today with a gal pal.

Wishing everyone a truly wonderful day. Prayers for all people and pets.

Ahhh, the power of prayer. Thank you so much! Bro-in-law's wife has already been given a "back to work" date. Breast reconstruction will be done at a later time. Three major surgeries in a month and healing so quickly.

Thinking of everyone health-wise, weather-wise, pet-wise, and wishing all the best.

And now, another prayer request. Mom (age 91) has had a stroke. Lunch Lady found her on the floor of her home. It did not affect her physically, but rather parts of her brain. Incoherent, does not know name, location, date, totally confused. My prayer request is that she not suffer in a state of confusion. She's lead a long, good life. Thank you in advance for the prayers you'll send on her behalf.

Good "Red Friday" morning to all ♥ It is a bit dismal outside but it is only 69° -
Thank goodness we are only to be up in the low 80's for the next couple days. Looks like more rain today.

Thank you Steve for the fresh new thread for the weekend.

STILL CAM KAPUT AGAIN! Will be sending email........

SANDI - TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION - 2:00 TODAY

My thoughts are of Becky waiting for that phone call - praying for her and her mother
to stay strong in their Faith.

NCSuzan said...

Jo, yes, when will we hear you shout your good news? And Glo, know you are waiting for a good report also!

Shirley, also hoping Luna comes home today. Poor guy misses his family I bet. Hope he is feeling super.

Sandi, I agree with you on Windows 10. As I posted earlier there are aspects of it that should bother most people. We have less and less privacy on the internet now more than ever before. Companies want this information in order to "personalize" advertising. Everything for the almighty dollar. Without modifications, every keystroke in Win10 is being sent to Microsoft. Upgrader beware if this is an issue for you. Many of the tech site are posting fixes and listing how to disable Cortana, etc.

Missing our eagles but happy that it was a successful season!

CarolAnne - Thanks being offered up for your Bro-in-law's wife's healing. Prayers for your mom not to suffer and for the Good Lord to watch over her - Prayers of comfort

JO, prayers re:CT results!

CAROLANNE, so glad the prayers of we Momsters contributed to your relatives successful surgery! Praying for comfortable transitions for your mom and GLO's dad.

Thanks for all the insight into Windows 10---reaffirming my decision to stick with 7. The further invasion into our personal lives is disturbing. Enough already!

SHIRLEY, hope your absence this morning means you're busy bringing Luna home from the animal hospital and that he's Aok!

STILL CAM UP/RUNNING

glo said...

Kay ty for prayers for CarolAnne. My Dad actually passed away 3 days after his stroke many years ago. Like Carol Anne's Mom though he was so very active all his life. He would not have wanted to survive if there would have been anything to keep him from continuing on in life as he always lived it.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, GLO---sometimes I read too fast for my own good!

Time Stamp Information on the NCTC Still Cam and the Outdoor Live Cam:
NCTC Reported: ...Yes, we are working through a series of tests for the current setup and new setup. The time stamp will return once we eliminate the issue with a single piece of equipment that can't handle the overlay of the time stamp.

Prayers for good news for all concerns. Carol Anne, so sorry hear of the stroke.

Busy week for this stay at home mostly person. Car inspected, club picnic yesterday, and drivers license photo today. I like the way PA does the drivers license renewals. You send in the $, then they send you a photo card to come to the center for your photo. My branch is open only for the photos two days a week so you don't have to wait. I was the only one there this morning. They let you retake the picture if you want and hand you your completed license as you leave. It took about 4 minutes and I was out of there. In TX it is an all afternoon affair. Then I got some kitten milk to use when I start feeding the kittens cat food. They are nearly 5 weeks old and beyond cute. They are starting to run and play and get into mischief.

Waiting for reports from Jo and Glo.

Good afternoon,

Kathryn picked Luna up on her way home yesterday evening. She is doing better today. She is taking medications we already had on hand.

Right now, she is sleeping on my bedroom floor. Smokey attacked her for a bit and is now sleeping next to her. I would love to know what Luna thinks of this. She tolerated the attacks and accepts the snuggles. She must wonder just what kind of cat this is.

I have been busy today trying to get things tidied up for my visitors. They will stay with Susan tonight and come here tomorrow. We are also trying to get a dinner

Mema Jo said...

Good early evening...... I wanted to finish dinner before I signed on again.
Today at the Cancer Center I first had blood test and then had the appointment with
my new Dr. = This upcoming Monday I will have an MRI (Brain Scan) due to this small
cell cancer being known to spread. On Tuesday I will meet with my radiation Dr. and
discuss Cyber-Knife as a precautionary procedure for any lingering micro-sized cancer
cells that didn't show up on the CT
Because the CT from yesterday showed that the tumor is GONE

Your prayers and positive thoughts were answered

I just can't tell you how relieved I am - I feel the doctor's procedures now will help me to get a remission. ♥

well in 10 minutes it will be safe to say we will not hear test results until Mon or perhaps not til Tues at her post op. She is asleep now. I decided to not wake her up and ask her to call the Drs office. I am going on No news is good news for the weekend. This is not at all unusual for Nogales AZ, I just have to trust in my heart that the test is run and if it were bad news Tucson would have called Nogales right away and Doc office would have called her right away. That is how it used to be when I was working as a nurse. With all this new health care ways of doing thigns I have no clue if that is still the case. Stay tuned.

Jacob wants to go kayaking today so I guess that'll be the plan - we have a tandem kayak. Not sure if I'll try to round up another kayak & join them or just let Rebecca and Jacob go out on their own.

Shirley, enjoy your company today.

Jo, do celebrate. Maybe with a visit to Megan's market tomorrow?

Sandi, please also enjoy the day with your visiting family. Weather is perfect for kayaking.

JUDIE, your day sounds like mine--just the usual chores and putting some thought into what Seth might enjoy for dinner. At least it doesn't entail "real work" like the way the "J" Sisters are spending their day---I DO love retirement!

Sandi said...

Soooo ... I have a 2nd laptop. It belongs to the property owners association that I am treasurer for and I "inherited" it from the former treasurer. Not sure why the treasurer needs a laptop more than the secretary does, but whatever.

I rarely use it - I just do the property association business on my regular laptop and save all the documents there. But, since it was running Windows 7, I decided to go ahead and upgrade that laptop to Windows 10 so I could play around with it without messing with MY laptop.

My first impression is that anyone who primarily uses either an ipad or an iphone/smartphone will have no problem maneuvering around in and getting used to Windows 10. Everything is an "app." People who primarily use a desktop or a laptop PC will be happier with Windows 7.

BTW Judy, I thought I read somewhere that computers running either Vista or XP are unable to upgrade to Windows 10. Isn't your home computer running Vista?

I will keep playing around with it, but at this point, today's experience just reinforced that I'll be keeping Windows 7 for quite some time.

Goodnight all - see you in the early AM.

JudyEddy said...

SANDI I do have Vista and I did get a mssg from Norton that 10 was ready I clicked don't show again

Sandi said...

Judy, here's what I have read:
Upgrading a Windows Vista PC to Windows 10 will cost you. Microsoft is charging $119 for a boxed copy of Windows 10 you can install on any PC.

Still considering upgrading? You might have used — or still be using — the Windows 10 preview as a “Windows Insider.” Microsoft has made some confusing statements, but the reality is that you won’t be able to upgrade to the final release of Windows 10 unless you have a Windows 7 or 8.1 license. Windows Vista licenses aren’t allowed to upgrade.

Judie said...

Helllo everyone.

Computer? Well, happy with what I have. Don't want to have to relearn stuff.

JudyE, hope your cold clears up soon.

Sandi and Shirley, hope you enjoyed your visitors.

Hope all critters are well or on the mend.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

Headed for the pillows soon. Restful sleep for all.

Glad you had such a good time on your visit Lolly!

JO, what fantastic news!!!!

Feel better Judy, sorry you have to miss the party.

Hope you had fun today with your gang Shirley! Glad Luna is doing well.

Glo, I sure Becky had gotten her result. GGRRRRR!!!!!!

Lynne2 said...

Well, not only did Steve never receive his test results from April that really needed to be addressed with him, it has now been 8 business days since his last visit and he has still not talked to his Dr. I'm FURIOUS. Those results were available online THE NEXT DAY, and were NOT GOOD! His triglycerides are now in the mid 500s, good cholesterol still too low, bad still way too high, and now his Urates are quite high. He also had back rads because he's been getting a numb leg, so we don't know about those either!

He has called several times but has never gotten a call back at the designated times he was told.

To get to the VA is 26 miles from here, but that involves taking the back roads to the city and then through the city's really unbeautiful areas, which if we go that way, it takes about an hour and 15 minutes. However, the quickest way taking the highways is 38.8 miles and takes, if there is no traffic (which is NEVER) it takes 45mins. to get there. But they don't care how long it takes to go the back way. It's all about the mileage. If we were 40 miles from the VA he could see any local Dr. per a new law. GRRRR!

Lynne2 said...

The sale was completed on this place on Thursday and the former owner was gone to FLA 2 hours later. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I will not miss her.

Dr. Benson will be running a pretty tight ship, but sadly he had NO idea what she was leaving him with. I don't know why he didn't inspect this place more closely but that's too bad that he didn't. He didn't even know until it was too late that he was getting the pigs and donkeys! (or the fact that there is no hay or straw for them) Or all of the rescue cats that she failed to inform him of (there are 6) AND she actually left one of her own cats because her new house is just too small!! Or the lawn tractor that her husband the mechanic was supposed to have fixed never was, or that there is no snowplow here anymore.

He has some great plans for the place, though. I hope he brings in his own manager to run things. No one currently working the kennel is qualified to do it. And I think most working the kennel now will soon be gone. He has already gotten some complaints from clients about the "teenagers" and "unprofessional treatment". LOL! He can thank the former boss for THAT, too, since she hasn't bothered to run her own business for year.

Anyway, my donkey's have what they need now, but I don't think he'll be keeping them, or the pigs, either. MTRB.

good evening to all.

great day at work. co worker came over and we had a swim.

tom, livvy, niki and I went out to dinner tonight. niki is Michael's girlfriend.
get this! she offered to paint the down stairs apartment! we've been trying to get Michael to do this....and it has rather been like pulling hens' teeth! so we said if she would paint, we'd buy the stuff.

after dinner we went to target. Olivia has signed up to run a 5K (with Niki) so we purchased her some running gear: shoes, shorts, etc. it is tax free weekend. but by waiting til late evening, the store wasn't crowded at all. I did notice that all the school supplies were gone...but I didn't need those anyway.

then we went to lowes and I purchased kilnz and paint! :)

now we are home home home.

tomorrow I plan on freezing some tomatoes, working around the house a bit, not too much else. sleeping....

hope everyone is doing well! sweet dreams to all!

Lynne2 said...

So I must leave you all now and get to bed. I've been dog sitting every morning this past week, 2 adorable Aussies who need a lot of playtime! And I have a kitten here til next week that I am caring for. And of course donkey duty every morning and evening (Buttercup is doing REALLY well, and Wesley is still a brat!), rescue dogs to socialize with in the kennel and today I took our foster Henry to an adoption show at PetSmart! I'm a bit tired!

Good night and prayers for all!

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Lynne2, I'm so sorry that Steve is getting such poor health care from the VA hospital and that he has no other option but to go to a doctor there. Thanks for serving our country, right??? I'm also sorry to hear that you could lose your sweet donkeys - I hope the vet finds caring homes for them. If he doesn't correct the problems with the kennel employees, he will have a failed business very quickly - people won't leave their pets someplace where they have heard bad things and that kind of bad news spreads fast.

CarolAnne, how is your mom doing? Any improvement?

Shirley, how was the trip to DC - which museums did you get to?

Janet, I'm happy that Michael has a new girlfriend; sounds like she may be a nice gal pal for Olivia as well! And she paints!!! Keep that girl around!

Rebecca and Jacob decided to go to Funland and the boardwalk in Rehoboth yesterday instead of kayaking. Today there's not a cloud in the sky so I know where we'll be headed. I just hope the rip currents and very large waves that were prevalent yesterday have subsided.

We haven't heard a word from Brian or Lynnis - we tried to Facetime with both of them yesterday and also tried to call but both phones went straight to voicemail. My guess is they have yet to transfer the phone service for their personal phones to another provider. They are on my mind a lot - I'm sure Brian is loving this new job (he is the head of a new project so he's calling all the shots) but I'm concerned for Lynnis, Freyja, the 2 dogs and a cat all being crammed into a hotel room and being in a totally new city where Lynnis knows no one and her ability to communicate with people is very limited.

Have agreat day all.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Lynne2, I so hope that Dr. Bensen will quickly make the most important changes for the health and welfare of critters who cannot care for themselves. As for Steve, which VA hospital are you dealing with? Steve's circumstances are not acceptable and I am sorry for the poor care/follow-up.

Sandi, have fun today with Rebecca and Jacob.

Shirley, hope you had a terrific day yesterday and have another today. Bring us up-to-date when you catch your breath.

Kay, check in. How are Seth and Penny?

JUdyE, hope you feel better.

Janet, glad you had family fun yesterday.

Jo, market today? Oh, you haven't mentioned Newt recently. Still your inside/outside boy?

Off to do some putzing. Wishing everyone a really lovely day.

Judie said...

Oh, doing a Margy:

Sandi, I suspect Brian and Lynnis are just consumed with trying to sort priorities with Freyja and critters making huge time/energy demands. Lynnis has probably had to find a nearby laundromat just for Freyja. Bet the days have just sped by and they don't realize how many -- like suddenly being at the end of a vacation and asking where did the days go? They love ya!

Good morning! Another scorcher here today. Back into a drought situation. Groan! Lawn still looks great, but then so does my water bill. Not watering down front so it is begging to look toasty!

Church this morning and then going to bake today. Never did get around to making Jack his birthday pie last month and he has been reminding me! Whoops!

Sandi, how are you feeling what with teachers getting ready to start school? A great sense of relief, I am sure! And, total, retirement is even better! Laurel is already working in her room, she and the boys helped Joey paint his new room. He is in a portable building and it needed painting badly. Took it into their own hands! Jack has also built her a new shelf for her room. She has so many books!!

Time to eat a bite and skedaddle!

Good morning,

I am just sitting here in my bed having my second cup of coffee and dealing with a fierce kitten who keeps attacking me. We spent yesterday morning at the Air and Space Museum at Dulles, then realized we really did not have time to do much museum visiting in DC and get back in time to meet everyone for dinner, so we went to Great Falls. Then we had a fun family gathering at dinner.

Maeghen and Chris spent last night with Chris's Aunt Margaret, and they're touring DC on their own today. They were working on how to ride the Metro. They're smart young people, so I am confident they will be fine.

They may be here tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how today goes. I am fine with resting today. Tentative plans are to tour Fredericksburg Monday and then go to Virginia Beach for Tuesday and Wednesday. I am thinking that it might be fun to ride the trolly from the visitor center here, something I have never done. Kathryn will be working tomorrow, so I will be in charge of entertainment plans. We could also just tour on our own. I do know my way around Fredericksburg pretty well.

Weather wise it is another 'stay in the house' day for me. This evening should cool down nicely - Tomorrow we could get the rain.

Sandi - hoping a call comes thru from the kids soon.
Lynne2 - hoping that Winston and Buttercup are kept together if they need to leave.
Judie - Mr Newt is doing very well - he sets his own schedule of indoor/outdoor time.
Lolly - yummy lemon meringue - right?

LYNNE2, best of luck with the transition to new owner. Hope STEVE receives the care he deserves from the VA soon--remember it's always the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, even when dealing with government bureaucracy.

JO, sorry mucky weather has you cornered indoors, but I know you're wise to know when that is the best policy! Weather looking iffy here and I may elect to stay away from tonight's concert in the park. Why does rain threaten every Sunday evening? Murphy's Law in effect!

JUDIE, you also asked about Penny and she's her usual perky self--such an enthusiasm for life and I'm lucky to have her to keep me going! Hope you are in the midst of a lovely, pluperfect even, day!

Prayers for all in need! Thinking of GLO and the report we hope to have tomorrow!

Good afternoon here. It's been a pretty quiet Sunday here after a noisey night of storms. I am heading to Subway soon to get a sandwich before the late afternoon evening ones come in.

I am hoping for a phone call for Becky tomorrow but won't be surprised if she has to wait for her post op on Tues before she gets that info. I am so grateful a friend is going with her as hubby too is back in school and both schools really hesitant to let teachers take much time off especially at the very start of a new school year. Thank You all for remembering her/us.

Hey all! Checking in!

LYNNE2 SAW A BEAR! Woot woot! I can BARELY believe it! Ha ha ha ha I crack myself up.
So sorry about the terrible health care! Unfortunately, being a veteran guarantees nothing as far as medical care…

CAROLANNE: continuing to hold you and your mom in heart and thought…
SANDI: I am loving this girlfriend of Michael’s….she is just a doll! So down to earth, sweet, bubbly……and the changes in him have been amazing! He’s starting to clean his house some…..just attitude changes!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYY
And I have to concur with JUDIE: after being a military wife and moving here and there…..you don’t always have everything set up as quickly as you would like and you are so busy with just getting stuff done that you loose track of time. I hope you hear from them soon!
MEMA JO: I will blanche and freeze the tomatoes after dinner. Its another hot and sticky day…..
JUDYE: we are finishing up tax free weekend here. We went to Target late yesterday evening. The crowds were gone. We spent $90 on Olivia’s running gear…..no tax on it was nice. I didn’t need any school supplies, per se, but I did notice that the shelves were BARE……
Its been a busy day. I slept in. it felt great.
After coffee and some YUMMY BLT’s with FRESH tomatoes….. I decided to run down to the laundry and everyone’s comforters. They have an 80 lb load washer that is monstrous. I brought everything home and hung it out to dry.

The house is clean and the rest of the laundry is finishing. I am going to grill some ribs here in a bit.
Tom and Gertrude (school bus) hit the road in the morning. Livvy and I have to get to the dr and get her allergy shot…and I need to run by the chiropractor.
But for the moment, watching the race and relaxing! IT feels GOOD!
Will check in later! HHHHUUUGGGGGSSS

Good evening,

Chris and Maeghen will be in Fredericksburg tomorrow. They're staying with Margaret again tonight. I expected they would after a day of touring DC today. It seems Chris is not feeling well right now. I really hope he is better tomorrow.

Kathryn took advantage of some tax-free shopping today, too, Janet, and of some clearance sales.

Yes, it is good that Becky has a friend to accompany her, Glo. I am still finding it hard to believe schools are starting, but if I were teaching at Culpeper, I would have students tomorrow.

I have invited Will and Stephanie for dinner tomorrow night. Will can come, but Steph might have to work.

Pickerington--I remember it well, Kay. I taught in the middle school there way back in the late 60s--before my children were born. I imagine it has change greatly in the years since.

Oh, I thought Lynne2's friend saw a bear. It would be nice to know Lynne actually saw one herself.

Glad that you all are enjoying my pictures. Guess I'll get a few more at the beach.

stronghunter said...

Hoping for some nice weather just for you, Jo. :)

Lynne2 said...

I did NOT see the bear, it was a gal from the cocker rescue. Let's be clear...I will NEVER see a bear. It's just not gonna happen. :'(

JUDIE, the VA Steve goes to is the one in Baltimore.

The weather IS going to be nice, after some showers Mon/Tues the temps will be so reasonable and the nights will be lovely!

Got to visit Susan's guy Vince's house for the first time yesterday. Interesting guy, Vince. He likes refrigerators. Susan pointed out that he has several. There was one in the family room, another in the dining room, and what looked to be a freezer in the dining room. I wonder what his power bill is. I think refrigerators use a good bit of electricity. But not if you don't have them plugged in, which Susan mentioned might be possible. He owns a big house in a nice neighborhood, but it is definitely a bachelor pad.

Watch the skies this week...the Perseid Meteor Shower should be a good on this year!

Now, I have to admit I have a refrigerator in my bedroom . . . a small one where I sometimes put stuff I don't want anyone (especially Hunter) to bother. Now, I have sent him to get stuff from my bedroom refrigerator at times, but I think he knows he goes in there only on a permission-only basis.

Oh, I thought Lynne2 hadn't seen that bear, but, Lynne, I am sure you will see one. Mark my word. You will.

I hope you get the VA mess taken care of, Lynne2. Our country owes our vets better than that.

Thanks for the skywatching advice, Lynne2.

Thinking of you and your family, CarolAnne.

Remembering Judie's issues with VA hospitals. It is hard to believe they are still not doing better with all of the recent fuss about problems there.

I am hoping for nice beach weather this week. I have really wanted to walk barefoot in the beach sand for a long time. Two days of being able to do that will be nice.

stronghunter said...

Oh, and Vince has weight-lifting stuff in the living room. Of course.

stronghunter said...

Time for me to say good night. Rest well, my friends. SED.

Sorry to hear of football great Frank Gifford's passing this morning.

ROFLMBO Shirley!!! Refrigerators everywhere...and weights in the living room! Too funny!

Lynne2 said...

Must gimp off to bed. I WAY WAY over did it today, moving hay, trimming bushes, weeding. Good night and prayers for all!

Um Shirley? About those refrigerators. You might want to consider letting Susan know that Vince is demonstrating signs of a future problem. Darth had a townhouse and used the dining room to store car parts (turned out to be a major red flag). No table/chairs. Car parts, motors, things I recognized as car parts but cannot name. Ominous sign. Really. Ominous sign.

Glad everyone had a lovely day for seeing the DC attractions. A few days at the beach will be wonderful. I used to love to walk along the water edge (back before the area was a resort) and especially on cloudy days for some reason.

Glad Kathryn was able to take advantage of the tax-free shopping.

Lynne2, does Steve have a primary care doctor at the VA? If not, he needs to get one asap and establish an ongoing routine for care. Test results should be sent as soon as available to the primary who then would contact Steve for a follow-up appointment. If medications are needed, they can be mailed so have Steve find out about that because of the driving distance. He also might check to see if that VA will reimbursement him for travel. Sometimes Darth has had to initiate contact if the primary is overwhelmed but the primary is the key person who would make referrals, etc. for tests and contact Steve via phone with results or a follow-up appointment. If he has a non-responsive primary, he needs to write a complaint.

Okay, back to bed to try for more sleep. Power outage woke me - chirping alarms. Ah, now it is raining. Shhhhhh - yes, I hear the grass and flowers sighing with pleasure.

Thank you everyone for thoughts and prayers for Mom. Today she is moving to a rehab facility against my choice (my brother who lives a few blocks from Mom has final say). I'd prefer a dementia facility. True, physically she can function, but mentally she can remember to do basic functions . . . eating regularly, meds on time, etc. His theory is "she'll just have to start remembering." Might I add that there is her cottage and their free use of it which would probably have to be sold to pay for any extended life in a facility.
Sigh, and another day starts.. . .
Take care everyone!

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Judie, I hope you are sleeping soundly - I was so surprised to see a post from you at 3:19am.

Prayers for positive results for Becky today.

We Facetimed with Brian, Lynnis, and Freyja last night. They are temporarily staying in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 15th floor of a highrise in the suburbs. Brian hates it b/c it takes him an hour to get to the Embassy for work. Lynnis hates it b/c there is no green space - no grass, no park for Freyja or the dogs. The dogs pee in the median strip of the highway b/c that is the only grass nearby. They may be in this housing for a month. Brian is working on having their permanent housing relocated to downtown so it will be closer to work for him and so there are parks for Freyja, but he isn't optimistic.

Tennis for me this morning - not sure what Rebecca and Jacob will get into. The weather was nice yesterday for going to the beach but the waves were huge and there were rip currents so no one was allowed out in the water beyond their knees. The lifeguards were busy. Also, about a third of the beach had eroded so it was a lot more crowded.

Have agreat day all.

CarolAnne, I'm sorry about the tension between you and your brother over your mom's care. It's tough when you think a sibling is looking out for himself/herself rather than the parent in making decisions. Hopefully while your mom is at the rehab facility, she will either start to show improvement mentally or your brother will see that going home isn't an eventual option for her. Prayers continue for your mom and for strength for you and your brother.
