Well Judy you did say the still cam is frozen - so maybe I don't see

Still a steady rain so I would think we would see an Mumbrella.

Going over to read previous blog page

Thinking of Laurel and Joey and the boys as the let Bosco cross over the rainbow bridge. Love the thought of him coming home to Hawkwood for his resting place.

Hoda - your little town of Peaceful
Nelson is having some disturbing
commotions. Glad you can retreat to the LAKE and find peace and comfort.

Good morning my eagle budlets! I am going to do my bird inventory. It is growing. :)

Cradinals, grosbeaks, towhees, titmice, chickadees, squirrels, chipmunks (and yes of course they fly), downy woodpecker, hairy woodpecker, red-bellied woodpecker, mourning doves, house finches, goldfinches, robins, catbirds, blue jays. I am sure I have forgotten somebody.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Now I have an indigo bunting! Love them!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Male and female ruby-throated hummingbirds.

I watched Ms Fisher's Mysteries and fell asleep in my recliner.

Good rainy morning.

Thank you Steve for the fresh thread and Jo for hollerin' at us. Congrats on the feather.

Maybe laundry and then the tedious task of removing identifying name/address information from Darth's ancient magazines. Then they can be recycled (yippee).

Lolly, sad day. We all can empathize.

Hoda, now that you have revealed the crime spree in Nelson, I must say that neither Jufie nor Sandperson are involved. Hope things calm down.

Janet, hope the extra sleep will help and you feel better.

Live feed down for me also.

Okay, need some extra coffee then to begin my day. BBL

Lolly said...

Good morning! Thanks for thinking of the Fritz family this morn. Bosco boy has crossed the rainbow bridge and Jack is on his way to get him. Our yard is not fenced, only across the back and down one side. We had to go out with him to go potty. He would always head to the back, go behind the shop and then try to sneak to the front along the fence. LOL That is where he will be buried, up on the hill along side the fence. He joins our two dogs, 4 cats, a rabbit and a hamster. Think I have it covered.

Going to do more gardening today. Will try to not be so rough on myself today.

Good afternoon!!

I am now watching our still cam, as the live cam is down for me as well. Looks very wet at our nest.

Cold and rainy here. We had an amazing event of thunder. I was at the bowling alley and had just gotten a strike. Maybe the people in heaven were bowling today. The thunder was so loud that Will called me from home to ask if I'd heard it. He said it shook the house and almost knocked him out of bed.

stronghunter said...

Bowling was most interesting. We went in knowing that we had to win one game to keep first place--or the other team had to lose one. Unfortunately, we lost all of our games and the second-place team won all of theirs. That put us in a tie. By-laws of our league says that a first-place tie has to be broken with an extra head-to-head game between the two teams.

It was plenty stressful. We had to start out 80 points in the hole because of their handicap. We had a small audience of watchers. I was so nervous that I had to work to keep myself calm.

BUT WE WON!!!!!!

It was a true team effort. :)

I think we had been in first place since maybe 1/3 of the way into the season. It would have been very disappointing to lose at that point, and I think we might have dropped to 3rd place.

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

No thunder here Shirley but lots of rain. Boo hiss - forgot something I need for dinner so I will venture forth.

Live cam still not working. Still cam shows mumbrella in place over the babes.

Off to closest grossery. BBL

stronghunter said...

I see that mombrella, Judie.

Judie said...

CONGRATULATIONS TO CYCLONE SHIRLEY! What a terrific accomplishment for you and team. Very happy for you.

No thunder here yet. Lots of rain. Had to go out to get a couple of things for dinner - stir fry. Quite chilly.

Good that Shirley can have the evening off. Maybe a celebratory dessert for tonight.

Looks to still be raining at the nest but can't tell for sure. Wish the live cam was operating.

my Fox news channel post this on fb and was on the news also

A branch of the US Department of Homeland Security is telling Americans to stop using Internet Explorer due to a vulnerability that allows hackers to remotely execute codes on victim's computers as they surf the web.

The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) warns that all versions of Internet Explorer -- from 6 to 10 -- can be affected, although those responsible appear to be currently targeting IE9 and IE10, according to FireEye Research Labs, the California-based Internet security software company that first exposed the vulnerability.

Computer security experts warn that no fix has been found, and they urge people to avoid using Internet Explorer until the security is sound.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Over the weekend, Microsoft acknowledged "limited, targeted attacks" that exploited a vulnerability in the browser in order to remotely run code through a user's browser, forcing the user to view a website crafted by the attacker instead.

FROM MICROSOFT: Vulnerability in Internet Explorer could allow remote code execution

Rather than targeting a specific victim one by one, the hackers inject code into a website a victim may visit. That code then infects the victim's computer.

According to FireEye, the exploit takes advantage of a previously unknown "use-after-free" vulnerability and a well-known Adobe Flash exploitation technique to circumvent Windows security protections.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

No practical solution has been identified yet, but the Microsoft Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit can help prevent the vulnerability from being exploited; however, older versions of Windows -- including Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 -- won't be protected in the same way more modern versions will.

Although the bug does not compromise the security of Adobe Flash, FireEye said the attack cannot work without it and said users can disable the Flash plug-in within IE to protect themselves; however, that will render many popular websites unusable.

Symantec is also offering XP users tools to help ward off attack.

Well good sunny clear blue skies bright afternoon to you all from Nelson BC.
We reclaim our streets and we were out with joy and healing energy today.
Flowers and chocolates dropped off at the places that were evacuated, the police Stations and Search and Rescue and the Fire Dept. A thank you from ordinary citizens of Nelson.
There was a native smudge in the banks which were robbed and the court house.

I decided to do something about my taxes today as I thought I will have to pay...Deadline for owing is tomorrow and dead line for refunds is May 5th due the the bug that had shut down Revenue Canada. My check book in hand and papers all sorted out in an envelop I walked to my accountant. We visited I sipped on tea, we talked she punched numbers and then we played the game of what do I think the numbers say. Well I guessed the number that I had saved for and budgeted for a year for...nope it was not that. My heart sank thinking it was more...no it was less...so I kept decreasing it by 100 dollars and she said go in the negative. I was so happy that means I do not owe them. It was very exciting for me and I stopped guessing. Well she waited and then said the figure the government is going to send me and I fell off my chair!!! It more than pays for my upcoming trip to Vancouver including the plane ticket!!! Well I kept asking her are you sure? She was. I signed the documents and she will send them off to the government using her secure computer and I still can not believe it. She wants me to lower my deduction ceiling and I want to sit with at least a year of taxes filed with the new pensions coming in. She said she advises that I have the money on hand to spend monthly instead of the government holding it for me for a year...I have to think on that.
I am very happy I do not have to pay. I will keep what I budgeted for this year in a savings account so this way next year I will not have to budget for taxes even though she assures me that next year they will owe me again, if all things stay constant...
O Canada Thank You.

I think I am going to take my tower to have it upgraded to 8.1.

I am using google chrome, but might as well take the plunge.
Anyone out there say ABSOLUTELY NOT to 8.1? Let me know please.

Wow! Nice to get $ back, Hoda!

Way to go, Cyclone Shirley! Wahooo!

Did a lot of work in the yard. All is shaping up. More work tomorrow.

Jacob has an appointment May 13 with the surgeon, a pediatric surgeon in Fort Worth. Will learn more then. Fritz family is doing well, they knew it was time for Bosco.

Janet said...

Yeah! NEW THREAD! Thanks to STEVE!

Congrats to Mema on the feather!

Congrats to Cyclone Shirley!!!

Glad Hoda had a much quieter day in her town!

Its been a better day around here.

I did go back to bed once Olivia was in school. I canceled all my appointments and back to bed I sent. My mind and brain started to argue...you need to get up and do x, y and z and it didn't take long before they both lost and I was sound sound sound asleep. I did not know when Tom got home. Next thing I knew he was kissing me good bye as he was headed back to work. It was 1 p.m.

I have been up since. I have been putting things from last night away. I always have out the computer bags, dog leashes, etc in case we have to dash down stairs. I also had a rollaway bed and a playpen to put away this time...as the grand kids and Chelsea were here.

I have all of that done.

I grilled some chicken, made some mashed potatoes, corn, some broccoli and carrots for dinner then baked a batch of snicker doodles.

Its been a busy day....once I woke up.

My clients for tomorrow had to cancel. That's okay, I have plenty to do. We have been overhauling Olivia's room. She wants a different bed. We promised her a new one for her 13th bday, but our little pack rat had to clean out 2/3 of her junk. And I do mean junk. So we have been finishing that up.

Have a great evening to all! :)

Going to say good night and snuggle under the covers now.

Judie said...

Hi everyone.

JudyE, did not see any coverage on the Naitonal news tonight. Will check out the link and Google the case. Always so sad and, yes, impartial jurors might be difficult to impanel. Also, 1 in 4 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime; 1 in 3 attempted assault.

Janet, your body must have needed some serious extra rest and recuperation. Maybe slow down a little?

Such a nice gesture Hoda to use your money (not owed to the gov't) to appreciate others (especially the RCMP).

Lolly, I know it is so concerning but Jacob is going to be just fine.

It's that time again. Sandperson is rapidly packing a very large satchel and is bundled from head to toe in warm clothing and rain gear.

Jufie has been sedated.

Night light is on. Restful sleep for all. Goodnight Prez and Capt.

JUDIE it was not all my personal money. There was a gathering that seemed to morph on its own. Everyone was standing in the sun wondering what happened and how we can deal with it. First healing and prayers were said and then the idea of the smudge with Sage in the buildings affected. Permission was given, the offer was accepted and it happened. Then what do we do about the people who were in the buildings. money was collected for the flowers and the chocolates...there are discussions as to how to help the two who so violated our community. They are not from Nelson they live in the outlying area and she comes from a bigger city. She has three kids from 2-8...what will happen to them is a concern. What about the group that is their friends who called in the Bomb Threat and were riding mountain bikes around the area that the Police were trying to secure...I give credit to our guys for maintaining the perimeters without engaging with the dread heads on bicycles. They are young and they are angry and they are disadvantaged and Nelson must seem like very affluent in their eyes...The healing has to include them too...some ideas circulating around to break through their anger...
Even in Kundalini Yoga class today we spoke of it. He will serve jail time of that there is no question. He did discharge a fire arm as a threat. He robbed six banks in six months. She was documented on one of those six and the police is still investigating...my concern is for the three children and that she get some classes to know about choices and how to make things work in her life.
A long healing rode for every one. We are working on raising the vibration to allow it all to happen.

Hoda said...

Yes Kudos SHIRLEY.

I will ask SHAR what she thinks.

Goodorning my eagle friends - it's Wednesday! It started raining so hard at about 5:20am that it woke me before the alarm.

Had a meeting after school til 6pm and was so tired when I got home that I didn't even read the new thread last night.

Congrats Shirley on that first place bowling team and your part in getting there - sounds like your practice paid off!

Hoda, congrats on the tax refund - always a pleasant surprise, though I wouldn't know personally - haven't seen a refund in a couple of years. I agree with your accountant that, if you reduced your withholdings, you would be keeping more money in your own pocket, rather than giving it to the government to use for a year and then give back to you. Still, those refund checks are always nice.

Lots of rain in store for today and I have a dermatologist appointment - my 6 month check. We will see how many spots he biopsies for skin cancers - I definitely see a spot on my hand and one on my thigh that look like basal cells. Paying for the sins of my past.

Have a great day all.

"Deluge"--that is the word being used to describe the weather in these parts.

stronghunter said...

Hoping that everyone out there is okay. Many Momsters are definitely in the bad weather places.

Judie said...

Good very wet morning. Rain is, as Shirley said, a deluge.

Headed out into the rain to get the "do" done. May not need a shampoo.

Still cam shows the babes side-by-side. No mumbrella.

Hoda, you and your community are wonderfully generous. Hope child services steps in for the children.

Okay, everyone stay as dry as possible and have a lovely day.

Mema Jo said...

Good wet cold morning to all ♥
Yepper, Janet I do think our rain was a "Frog Strangler" too. lol

Sandi, I am praying that your check up today reveals minimum to none cancer spots.

I have a routine pulmonary check up
this afternoon. I didn't have it on my calendar but thank goodness for the call to remind me. I am used to getting an appointment card but this office gives you a print out and for some reason I just filed it in my medical folder.

Mema Jo said...

Now mom/dad (with the wet head I can't tell which it is) is covering
Prez and Capt. It is still windy here and with the rain it makes it so cold. I gave in last evening and turned the heat on in one room and the bathroom. I was comfortable thru the night.

Well my eye drops are done, my pills are taken and I've had my coffee after I put out the seeds and peanuts. The little critters came a running. Now to find some breakfast food.

Mema Jo said...

FB has Wanda's pics of the luncheon. She should be bringing them over here to the blog soon.

stronghunter said...

Interesting discussion with Hunter: He figures that elementary schools might be dismissed early today because most middle schools are only one-story buildings, but the high schools and middle schools are mostly two-story, so they should be okay.

I do hope we do not get that much rain.

stronghunter said...

Looking forward to seeing those pictures, Jo.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley can you see them on my FB page?

stronghunter said...

More deluge happening now. I am happy that I have that chain-link fence. My neighbor has the wood fence across the back, and the water is backing up over there. Water from my yard flows to the creek. However, the creek is definitely rising.

stronghunter said...

Will check, Wanda.

stronghunter said...

Meant to say--"Will check, Jo." Nope, not seeing the pictures on Jo's or Wanda's page yet.

Lolly said...

Good morning! So very jealous of the rain. Never before have I had to water this much in the spring. My daisys coming up are wilting. I have new grass and new plants trying to get established, but I should not complain. There are whole towns needing water to drink!

Keep the prayers coming!

We saw 50 this morn and presently 58. Wow! Loving it and wishing I could bottle it! Later this week up to 90.

Heading out soon to enjoy it.

Laurel and Joey both posted a comment and Laurel a picture of Bosco. Amazing the comments and outpouring love to them. I am wondering today how Luke is doing. Does he miss Bosco?

Time to walk. See you later.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley - I don't think the lunch photos are marked "PUBLIC"

Let me know if you do see any of them

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Got my "do" did and then had to travel a couple of circuitous routes to get home. Roads blocked by high water. Still raining hard here.

Our backyard, trees, is running a gully washer into the yard. Shirley, hope your yard doesn't flood and Hunter's school is a safe one.

Got the still cam for about two minutes then went black. Saw what I think was Capt. alone in the center of the nest. Hope a mumbrella arrives soon.

Rain and gloom have taken my energy. Feel like crawling back under the covers.

Lolly, I'm sure those of us in this area would gladly send you some rain.

BBL

Hoda said...

Still morning here so good morning everyone.
Prayers SANDI keep us posted on the spots check...

Stay safe with the rain all. We have a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and almost no wind. Fresh snow on the mountains makes for nippy temperatures. Still I will take the day...

SHIRLEY Children's Services already have the kids, of the woman who assisted in the robbery by driving the get away car, in custody. They are traumatised and do not understand what happened to their parents...visits must be arranged, searching out grandparents while the mother gets help and or serve jail time...so what is our responsibility towards those children and how can we lessen their trauma is what we are all putting energy towards...

I am off to yoga and will spend most of the afternoon outdoors as it is too beautiful to miss.

Blessed Be.

OH the picture was really yucky of her leg all the way knee down the side

Went to the Dr's again today. My road rash is now cellulitis, and since I had a fever they're doing a blood culture. They also cultured the wound, did a CBC, gave me a shot of rocefin (OUCH OUCH OUCH!) and new antibiotics. Hopefully this clears it up. No more shots for this girl! And, no clinical tomorrow, either. There goes my perfect attendance.

Paula, hope Larry is feeling reasonably good tonight.

Stay safe everyone.

Good night

Yes--on Lori, she said the dog went after a cat and she hung on as long as possible. I am not sure I could have hung on so long. She got pretty banged up.

Lynchburg Virginia, is that near anyone here?
An oil train derailment and explosion with black plumes...I hope it is not near a river or water supply. Where are SHAR and BEV? Are they near there?

Good Evening EagleBuds!!! Hope everyone has battened down the hatches and all south and west of here have storm cellars.
Glad to SEE that Jo is doing well and Jacob has a benign cyst. Too bad that he might have to endure surgery, but you can assure him that he won't feel a thing!
Hope Larry is feeling better.
Sandi, you have all our support in dealing w/estate. Frank helped me a lot w/my Mom's. She had a will tho, that covered everything and her house was bought by a gentleman who lived close by and had won the lottery!!

Hoda, hope your criminals get caught or go out of town. Last week some idiots stole a truck and ran it through our CVS drug store! They were trying to get at the ATM money machine. I didn't even know there was one.
NEWS FLASH~~yesterday AM I saw 2 eagles in the nest, but couldn't stop. In PM, 2 were there, but one was NOT an adult!!!! Where has a huge juvie been hiding all this time! Have some awful pics~~dark & foliage in the way, but there are 2 brown blobs. Might put one on tomorrow.
If I konk out in the chair, nighty-night to all! SED

good evening to one and all.

its been a pleasantly productive day.

I am sorry that so many of you are enduring the frog strangler. it was soggy soggy soggy still today! it was a nice day to stay in and work. this I did.

the on going project for the last week has been Olivia's room. she wants a new bed. I want her to have a new bed. she is in this bunk bed that has a desk under it. sounds great, but as far as making it in, etc. it stinks! anyway, so if she wants a new bed she had to clean out 2/3 of the uh hem, stuff, in her room. my dear daughter is a massive pack rat! so she had 1 week to do her part.

yesterday afternoon, I took over. and I worked on it today.

I got some good cleaning done!
it was very satisfying.

the weather though, was beautiful.

the train derailment! oh no. that is awful.

watching survivor .

SED to all!

I am closing down as I am going to watch my last TV show now.

Don't anyone float away - don't ride through any large puddles either.

Good night and God Bless us all ♥

Good evening,

Janet, I remember when Hunter wanted a new bed at his dad's house because, when he got bigger, he couldn't sit up without hitting his head on the ceiling when he sat up. It was a loft-type bed with a desk and another bed underneath.

That was fine, but the old bed still sits in my garage. How does everything end up there????

Supposed to go to the child of a friend of Kathryn's, but by the time they get around to moving it, that kid will be too big for it too. :)

Drove through plenty of small puddles today, and a couple of kind of medium ones, but none large enough to be dangerous.

Dear Lord, please send any additional rain to Texas. Just saying . . .

Time to say good night. Hope everyone is safe and happy. God bless.

SED.

Thank you, Shirley We would gladly accept any rain you do not want.

Watched TV tonight, played some computer games, read a magazine, and now I really need to get up and head to the pillows.

Oh, Shirley...I remember when you used to live alone and you were fixing the place up. Times have changed...even your garage!

Really need to get up and head to the shower. Night all! SED!!

Oh, expected to get into the 30's tonight and then into the 90's Sunday. Wild!

Goodorming my eagle friends. Rain and more rain and some flooding. The water level in the canals is high but has stayed IN the canal so far. No water IN our ground floor.

I am SO tired this week - not sure why. I think it's stress from work (issues with the English teacher on the team) and some depression about Mom (closing out her big bank account and getting ready to settle on the condo = closing doors) plus this yucky weather all week.

Prayers for all on the blog. Have a good day.

MAY DAY, MAY DAY !

That isn't a plea for help, but rather a signal to change those calendars and get psyched for one of the most beautiful months of the year ! (she said with fingers crossed)

SANDI, so sorry you're feeling tired and depressed, but it's no wonder with all you're handling right now. Prayers as always.

LORI, so sorry about the dog n' cat incident ! Feel better soon and don't worry about that perfect attendance. You'll be able to make up for any lost time. Prayers for you, too !

And for any dear Momsters in need. Hope the weather is clearing where you are and that you'll each have a beautiful day !

Good morning to all.

SANDI: tired . depressed. Stressed. All makes sense right now. Just ride thru it and take care of you.
SHIRLEY: grandson is supposed to be inheriting the bed. Chelsea is coordinating with us. She wants to paint his room prior to its delivery. It can sit in HER garage if she isn’t ready. I do not have a garage. I have a barn. It is full. Lol.
Felt very sleepy a min ago, but waking up quickly looking forward to work today.
LOLLY: sending thoughts your way for rain. Drought is scary.
Two weeks from today I will be camping. Looking so forward to it!!!!

Everyone have a wonderful day. Light and love. Holding you close in heart and thought!

Good early morning (for me).

Looks like Prez and Capt are preening in the still damp nest but at least they are in the center. Such big feetsies they have.

Will read to comprehend later.

Need to make myself less scary and go look at a retirement community in Ashburn, VA. Will report when we return.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Hi Ladies, Haven't been here in a while! I'm on a mission. Do y'all know who I can contact concerning the eaglet in Leesburg? He's got fishing line wrapped around him.

Most of y'all know me as smokefancj

Hello, smokefancj,

I would suggest the Wildlife Center of Virginia. We do have a memeber with connections there. Hold on a moment and I will send her a message.

Good morning to all ♥
It is so bright outside that I have
been blinded and couldn't find you all sooner. Sunshine has me mesmerized.

Waiting for the deck to dry so I can use the leaf blower on all the seeds

Sandi - I think this for some reason has even been a depressing week for Dana - I hope this sunshine will refresh you and maybe you should head for the tennis court and really give those balls a good whack and get rid of your stress. ♥

Good home hunting Judie - hope you don't need to go through any flooded areas. Perhaps this one will strike your fancy!

Shirley, I guess most of those my age even though I don't have a garage, have an over abundant basement and even a spare room with
