I survived another wonderful convention at Cedar Lakes in Ripley. It was a record-breaker all around. We had over 2700 years of clean time and welcomed about 700 people there. It was absolutely wonderful. I was the Vice-Chair this time and it involved quite a bit of work but I so love being involved.
Thank you Steve and Shar. Pleased you had a good convention. All is good here Sorry about bomb scare Lori Keep us posted on Michael Jo. Missing Judie. Hope Margy phones her today.
Hi! Everyone. Sounds like everyone is busy, busy busy.
Lolly and Lori and anyone else not liking to type on you iPad or iPhone. I feel the same way. I have fat fingers! So I purchased a stylus. My life is changed. You will be surprised how quickly you can "type" with one. It is like using an upside down pencil. They are inexpensive too.
Lolly, I watched the video of your cousin when you posted it. He sounds like a very special man. I am hoping for his full recovery.
Hoda and Jo, I also hope you do not become sick with colds. Seems like everyone I know has one. Must be caused by the change in the sewasons.
Margy, glad you are back home. But it is fun to travel, isn't it?
Hi all! Thanks Steve for the new Monday thread and thanks, Shar for the call over!
Shar, sounds like you and Bev had a fabulous, inspirational weekend!
Lori, I'm thinking an occasional bomb scare might be a good diversion from the norm - could you post a note somewhere suggesting that the kids doing it might want to call Selbyville Middle School??? ;) Seriously, I'm sure it was a PIA for all of you, esp. since you'll have to make up the time!
I'm thinking I may never get my voice back! I feel fine but, but i still sound very croaky!!
I think dinner will be breakfast food this evening. I have an IEP to start drafting.
Organic Bananas are on sale. I am now dehydrating bananas. Also sweet potato chips in the making. They too were on sale. In our stores Kale Chips and Sweet Potato Chips are eight dollars! Nothing to them and healthier to make at home. Bought more Kale for that purpose... So delicious.
Head cold is good during day time and then becomes an issue at night. It will just take its time.
It is a Toshiba. Did not want a bi expensive one, but there were some things I just had to have on it as well as a key board that I liked. So far, so good!
Its 74° out right now our cold front has hit the road suppose to get to 85° by Wed and then back to 82 by Fri has highs lows varies 63°-68° through the week Really feels great out right now able to sit on my back porch for a bit
That is a mistake Lolly!!!! I have been added to the dictionary! I feel wise! When I am "being wise" I become very difficult to be around.
Thanks for checking on broccoli JUDYE.
14 pounds is not a baby!!! How was she delivered? Dear God natural birth seems to me out of the question. I could not even get myself to watch the link!!!
HODA the link just shows pictures of her with her mom in the hospital and two other pic with her twin sisters that are 2 yrs old and she had been told by the Dr the baby would be about 11 lbs and C section from what I remember on the news I heard on fox 13 a bit ago I just googled to see if I could find it and that is the link I posted baby was 22 inches long and a boy
Hoda, I buy a lot of Organic foods...bananas,celery,salads... but the prices are not so high as yours there...I used to buy broccoli more often, but it IS pricey... I do get the Organic carrots also
ALSO: I love the sweet potato chips and a co-worker made kale chips one time also, Yummerini!
JudyE, shucks I missed the Crescent Moon tonight, must have been an infant !! We did have some somewhat cloudy cover, but I DID see Venus...I shall take a gander Tuesday night
I was at court today...first, go at 1, then, no, go at 2, then, come back in the morning.
just didn't get to my turn as a witness...something for work..... All dressed up and now I have to do that again Tuesday !
so that kind of threw my schedule out of order for calling Judie... this was also my day off but a lot of it was tied up waiting to appear...
You're right, JudyE...no interactive on Google, but I sure had a blast with the Hallowe'en image !! different things into the cauldron in different orders....Fun!
MARGY when you are called to court on a day off do you get another day off in lieu? I hope so.
Thank you for letting us know you were not able to phone JUDIE today. Thank you for trying tomorrow. I hope she is well.
JUDYE sunrise is just a minute different in Florida from us. Sunset is over an hour difference.
Enjoy.
We are headed into low cloud cover season, cold and snow. It is alright though as we had a terrific spring summer and autumn. Could not have asked for any better. Skiing will help the winter. Sometimes just outside of town, we are in a valley, the sun comes out so I might see it a bit more often this year if I leave town.
News Flash. I cooked tonight. Curry Rice, with REAL curry paste. Had a meal of that in California, as my niece is Japanese, she walked me through it, the cooking.
JO: I hope Miracle Michael gets a Stellar report from his doctor. How is Ed's knee???
Too early for Christmas music for me too Lolly. Ten days before I like to listen to Handle's Messiah and I go to the theatre and church to listen to some carolling and bell performances. I avoid any place that pipes it in anytime before the second week in December or even the third. K-Mart apparently is having pre Thanksgiving day sales and people are lined up. Will be open on Thanksgiving day too. Too too too much.
Hoda...I get paid for my time... I make most of the 9-1-1 recordings for the cases that go to trial... so it makes sense that I go to the trials...and there are others "on shift" that really carry the duties of taking the calls....
Lolly - LOL - I know it is too early for Christmas music, but, I just decided to test drive a CD that someone gave me.... :)
I;'m about the same, Hoda....I like Handel's Messiah very much, and often play it into February :)
I dislike to going to most stores during Christmas season...I shop through the year, co-workers bring in their school sales projects for their kids, and I order some things on-line from "Pampered Chef" from people I know, and then, there is Goodwill !! I don't honestly "Go" Christmas shopping, per se
Hoda: Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, Onions. I don't mean to brag, but it really turned out nicely...I can't tell you how often I read and re-read the instructions....I marinated the beef in plain yogurt for several hours, (to help tenderize it) then rinsed it off, and stir-fried it with the onions in Olive Oil...then I added the remaining vegetables, simmered for 10 mins, then added the curry paste and warmed it all up on simmer while I prepared the Organic rice. If I get some more venison meat,I will use that next time
Good Evening Eagle Buds! Margy, I'm hungry all over again! How long did you marinate the meat? We were planning to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate the "rebirth" of my nose, but I had a Panda nap in PM after appt. I actually did get those med people on the phone in AM, told them of trouble & they said come in!!!! NURSES ARE GREAT! She was able to fix the 1/2 black area under the skin by soaking w/peroxide--unfortunately it scabbed under the flap, but she said it's attaching so IT'S ALIVE!!!!! No more surgery for now. She also told me which of their recorded message #s to punch and actually get a real response!!!! TY for all the good thoughts!!! Momsters Rock! Regular life can now begin!(With more eagles, I hope!) Shar, I love your meeting story. Hope I get there someday. I bought some smokeless E cigarettes. Was dying to get online at Park Saturday to make some comments, but we have no internet. Someone cutting the grass Friday cut the cable!!!!!I couldn't understand it because it got buried several feet underground! Seems it got sliced close to a telephone pole where it must be at surface. Also, employees who were doing mowing had to go for drug tests!!!!!! Time to say Good Health Prayers for All, especially Dana's Dad, Norm, & Miracle Michael----Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Hi, Everyone, Getting here kinda late tonight, but didn't want to wait until tomorrow and worry you guys.
We have been busily driving to nearby cities and checking them out. Today we went to a nice shopping mall in Temecula so we had an indoor place to do some walking. It was very overcast here today, because of a tropical storm yesterday on the Mexican coast. We were supposed to get rain here in Escondido, but somehow it missed us. When we got back from the mall walking, we rested for a while, then went and checked out the Farmer's Market they have on Mondays here at Welk Resort. They had some fresh organic produce, but it was mostly other stuff like arts & crafts, food booths, and all kinds of jewelry, clothing, accessories, skin care products, books, you name it.
I called and checked to see how Emma was doing, and they are trying their best to spoil her. She is getting lots of personal attention. They had trouble getting her to eat at first, but by coaxing and hand-feeding a couple of bites, they can get her started. They are having trouble getting her to go poop! She is very particular when she's home, and she will probably try to hold out as long as she can. I'm not too concerned, though. What goes in one end will eventually come out the other end, I would imagine. She sometimes waits a day and a half before going at home. She seems to be fine otherwise, though. They are really taken by her, which doesn't surprise me at all! I find her to be totally charming!
Jo and Hoda, hope your colds go away SOON!!
I'm becoming quite concerned about our Judie. Hope that both she and Darth are feeling OK. Margy, thank you for planning to call her; please keep us posted!
Lolly, glad you like your new laptop! Mine is a Toshiba too, and it has proved to be very reliable.
Lori, that bomb scare sure must have been scary! Such craziness! Mighty glad you are okay.
Shar, so happy that your convention was such a big success! Congratulations!
Oh--JudyE, the doctor I've been working for hasn't sent me as much work lately. I'm not sure what's up with that, but it's been a gradual change, so I think he is just not as busy as he has been in the past. As soon as I'm back from vacation I'll call him and see what's up.
Well, this time change has me all messed up. I'm practically doing face plants, so think I'll say goodnight. I've made sure the porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Have SED, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. I love all of you! I ♥ us!
Have been shopping on line. Laurel has a birthday Dec 4 and we are getting her new dishes. She has been married 16 years and her everyday dishes are chipped and some gone/broken. Getting her dishes exactly like mine, Italian Countryside by Mikasa. I love them and they do not chip. My old Mikasa dishes never did chip, I just got tired of them. lol She like mine so I know she will be happy with them. They are white so no objection to them.
Have been attempting to get familiar with this laptop. Still have some things to figure out but so far, so good! Have added some of my favorite cam addresses but may do that slowly.
Anyway, going to put my nose in a book for a while. Have shopped, switched from tab to tab and I am HABBY!! No quitting, no freezing up and fast. But, Margy, it is not a Cadillac. lol No touch screen.
Running behind in getting ready for clinical today. Just praying it's a good day there and the teacher/nurse doesn't throw too much homework at us.
It's not as cold out this morning as yesterday, thank goodness!
Glad to see that MARGY, LORETTA and ANDY checked in.
Yes, ANDY, we do get worried when we don't hear from someone...like JUDIE. Hope she is okay.
HODA, Whew! Over $9 a pound for organic broccoli? Craziness. I haven't bought any in a while, but last summer it was right around $5 at the local Common Market, a co-op.
LOLLY, I'm sure Laurel will love her new dishes - you're such a sweet Mom.
Gotta run and get my stuff together that's strewn all over my homework area.
Hope everyone has a great day. Lot's of love and light and smiles for everyone. Big hugs, too!
Lolly, my almost 2 year old laptop is a Toshiba and I have been very pleased with it. I wouldn't want a touch screen - I'm too anal about fingerprints on things! I am constantly cleaning the glass on my cell phone to get the smears and fingerprints off!
Loretta, how awful about the problem with your nose - glad the skin is alive but still!
Prayers for Dana's dad and both Norm's, and especially for Michael to get some positive answers today.
Morning all. Overcast here, but not as cold as yesterday.
Saw a brown creeper yesterday on my big tree--so much for birding news from here.
Margy, I loaded the player with 6 Christmas cds on Sunday. I may just play them again today. Love christmas music, but not especially the "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" type.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day--and don't forget to vote.
Good morning! Wow, opened up the computer and there it was, ready to go! Wow! Went to fb, all functioned properly and then hurried here with no delay. Wonders never cease! LOL My stress level has gone way down.
We are up to .7 inch of rain and hopefully more to come today, especially this evening.
Lori, do hope you have a great day. Bless you, so proud of you!!
Thinking of Michael and hope all is well with his doctor's visit!
Going shopping today. Looking for something crafty. I plan on making some Christmas ornaments and need a tiny snowman's hat. Hmmmm? Wish me luck. Years ago, when our children were babies, Sharon, Sandy and I (sister and sil) we started making Christmas ornaments for all the children. Now we continue with our grandchildren and greats nieces and nephews. I am more than ready to stop this traditions but have not been successful in influencing the others.
Last night's entry by Bobbe for Norm in Caring Bridge.
Ephraim - "Be fruitful in a place of suffering"…
— Nov 3, 2013 7:46pm
At a time of crises a couple of years ago, a dear friend gave me a lovely bracelet with the word Ephraim spelled out between lovely beads of silver. I wore it daily, oftentimes reminding myself of the unique meaning written on my wrist. When a precious friend suffered the loss of her young adult son in August of 2012, I took it off and gave it to her to wear. This week she returned it to me - and I will wear it as we move through this period of dealing with Norm's stroke.
Deana and I learned something significant today. We were talking to two of the therapists who have been working with Norm since we moved to Swedish hospital. It has been hard to pin anyone down on just what we might expect for the future for Norm. The answers to our queries have been, "We just can't tell"; "We will have to wait and see"; "It's just too soon to tell"; "Everyone handles this issue differently". But today, they said, "You know, he has suffered a severe stroke". I was shocked. I knew he had lots of work to do and that there are no guarantees of complete recovery, but the severity and the extent of the botched surgery was never made clear to me. I'm feeling shaky and scared tonight.
However, the Father knows all, sees all and provides all. The Psalmist wrote, "Desperate, I throw myself on you: you are my God!" At this point, all I can do is to pray, to encourage and to attend to Norm, and to trust the Healer with the days ahead. And…to "Be fruitful in a place of suffering"… I watch Norm do just that every day as he impacts the men and women working alongside him to recoup his physical losses. He is gracious, he is cooperative, he is diligent and he is fearless! Off-duty nurses come to visit him just be cause he is such a special friend to them! And he trusts and loves the Father. Ephraim, indeed! Bobbe
Lolly - We also give the family ornaments each Christmas - I'm not sure if any of the children or grandchildren have saved them throughout the years. I am sure they do as we try to mark the year on them. I should give a prize to any of them that has done that.
Prayers for Norm's recovery - prayers for his family to Keep the Faith.
Michael is at his 9:00 appointment - it is with the surgeon that he had from day 1. I am praying for some answers concerning the seizures and pain. We all realize that the skull replaced may need to be taken out and a synthetic piece inserted. I'll never understand why that wasn't done to begin with since the piece of skull was dead tissue. Only God knows and I'll trust His doings.
Happy to see that Andy is enjoying her vacation and she's right about Emma -
I have added one more b-day to our Momsters' calendar... 12th Suzan Bell
Lori - I seriously doubt that your homework will ever slow down - BUT I know from the past that you will ACE it.
Hoda - you need to plant your own garden next year.. I am certain you will have the time to do the weeding! Love you ♥ You can be as organic as the next person.
Loretta I am glad they gave you that special number to press. Some of these drs menus on the phone - A person could have serious complications before pushing the right number. Of course, we all know they cover themselves by telling you to call 911 if it is an emergency!
Sharon and Bev - I am glad to hear such good reports from your convention at Ripley. Keep up the good mentors you both are.
Going to FB and check on my family and friends...... BBL
I just had a beautiful woodpecker on the deck feeding..... Not a downey I'm Sure Not a pileated I'm Sure For sure it was a red-bellied - just found it in my birding book
Just read my newsletter from Smithsonian Zoo in DC
Chinese tradition calls for a celebration when a baby reaches its 100th day. At the Zoo, that entails naming our giant panda cub, and we need your help! Cast your vote beginning next week through Nov. 22 at Smithsonian.com Winning name to be announced Dec 1
Bao Bao (宝宝) — precious, treasure. Ling Hua (玲花) — darling, delicate flower. Long Yun (龙韵) — Long is the Chinese symbol of the dragon, Yun means charming. Combined this represents a sign of luck for panda cooperation between China and the U.S. Mulan (木兰) — a legendary young woman, a smart and brave Chinese warrior from the fifth century; it also means magnolia flower in Chinese. Zhen Bao (珍宝) — treasure, valuable.
Judie did call back and we talked for a while She only has 6 more classes before retirement! Promises to return as soon as she gets through all of these changes and that she does think about us ♥
Kefir as a culture and Kombucha is what I have been studying today. Gut health continues to interest me. I am also thinking Master Tonic. I missed this month's new moon energy so will wait till next month to make some. My experience with the head cold tells me I must boost my immune system. Two people sneezed right behind me when I went to Rimpoche's talk. Within 24 hours I had a tickle in my throat. Had I had some Master Tonic I would have had it beat!
Any news of Michael ? Waiting to hear.
Do very touched by the bracelet story as written by Norm's wife. God Bless him LOLLY.
Yes, I did have bowling today. So far, our team is in first place.
Went out and voted awhile ago. Strange--we have two polling places next door to each other. I went to the wrong one first. Got very worried when they could not find my name on the list, but then they said I was at the wrong place. Seems that I wasn't the only one confused.
Had a successful shopping trip. Looked like I was going to have to make snowman hats out of balsa wood and a dowel. Jack is great at cutting. ha! However, at Hobby Lobby found the cutest tiny western hats. My snowmen are going to have western hats! Will take pictures when I am finished! May take a while.
Jo any news on Michael? Thank you for contacting JUDIE. Looking for news from Jewels too. Anyone heard anything yet? You all are three hours ahead and I figure we should have heard by now. PRAYERS
AND.... I am happy that JO talked with both Darth AND then Judie !
I also rang her up around 5:15 as she was in the Scullery....
busy she is, just finished grading 100 papers, still catching up from two weeks' worth of kaplooie computer, AND she starts teaching a Police class coming up... She said she WILL get back with us soon as she can....
She sounded great...and I was knowing I would see JO's report soon as I got on here....so that was comforting...Thanks Jo !!
got court appearance wrapped up this morning, no more having to dress differently for work ! though it is fun to dress up sometimes...and feel a little more professional
the trial continues for several days....but WE are not on trial, just had to produce the tape of a call, and some paperwork
Yes, Jo, they send out cards here, too. The voting place didn't change this year. I just got confused. I drove by Winderness School and figured I would turn around at Ni River, but when I got there, there were signs saying Ni River was the polling place, so I went there. I did not expect two polling places to be so close together.
Margy, our team is in first place. We had a good day--two wins out of three and the most pins. I have been very gradually improving. I managed to bowl 107 in one game. Not remarkable, but better.
Went to Lowes tonight to pick up the insulation I ordered online over the weekend. How many bats of insulation can you stuff in a Honda civic ? Lol...8 !
Also picked up gifts for Cohen. Will get them wrapped tonight so I can mail them tomorrow.
Lowreeda good news on your nose!
Glad Emma is doing well at camp.
Hope the. Dr has some answers for Michael.
I do well with the time change, but don't like the early darkness like most of you.
Took a walk on the beach tonight with a flashlight :-)
Gotta go get the wrapping done, will check back later.
Hello and good evening eagle buds Just got home from Angie I watched Jordyn while Angie went to zumba and will do each week Carl had softball practice that night also Got Jordyn to bed at 830 right on cue Now I need to unwind myself and just wanted to say GN

3hrs of TV is getting to be too much for me - I enjoy all my shows - I just get antsy sitting for so long.
Michael had CT taken and he will go back in another month so they can keep track of any skull movement. He also got appointment with a dr in Pain Management that will accept his Medicaid Ins. He was pleased with his visit
Saying Goodnight to all ♥ Prayers for all our needs and for our family and friends ♥
Good morning everyone - It's Wednesday, Hump Day, as the camel says. Love that commercial.
I'm all caught up on the blog but no time to comment this morning. Need to do some more highlighting in my book on the skills we will be tested on tomorrow - everything from putting in a nasogastric tube to a catheter, an lots in between, like sterile would dressings and irrigation. Hope to come home and make index cards of all the procedures.
Glad we heard from JUDIE, and SHIRLEY, congrats on the bowling victory. Great news on Michael that he'll be getting some help with pain management.
Wishing everyone a beautiful day of love, light and joy in your hearts!
Good morning Lori and all my eagle friends. It's a no kids day for me - morning meetings and afternoon to work on grades since report cards go home on Friday. The meetings will be a total waste for me but the time this afternoon is much needed.
I guess I missed reading on FB what's up with Carolyn - anyone care to share?
Glad to hear that Judie has been located and is alive and well.
Jo, I'm sorry that Michael has to wait so long for answers from his doctor visit yesterday. I hope the pain management doc can provide some relief.
A fine good morning to one and all. I feel like I’m missing in action this week. So busy this week.
I was off Sunday, but worked Monday, and Monday night I went and had a 2 hr massage. I had a lot of stiffness and tight muscle to work out. Yesterday was my short day at M.E. and then out to franklin for chair massage. Hurried home, got the kid, made dinner, then Tom and I went to see an animal intuitive speak. Her name is (I think) Sally Hinkle…would have to look. She spoke for 2 hours and was very interesting.
Today: keep me in your thoughts as at 2:45 cst I meet with Olivia’s teachers…. I have one massage this morning and then am headed to the chiropractor. Then I work Thurs, Fri and Sat. I think I shall be tired on Sunday.
Did a little holiday shopping yesterday. That felt good; a positive reward if you will for my extra work these days.
Hope all is well. I will try to catch up this evening. For now, gotta get to moving. Light, love, smiles!
Happy to see we had some good voters at the polls. Many levies, bonds and local candidates to vote on here and it all went well as far as I'm concerned. Voting gives me the same thrill I get when saluting the flag and singing the anthem !
JO, so glad Michael is seeing a pain management doctor--hope it helps him as much as it did my Stan. For the last two years of his life he had that help for back issues. He had quite enough to handle in his fight with COPD and it was grand getting some help with other pains !
LOLLY, happy to hear Zacharooski is going to get some unconditional grand-parenting today !
JANET, thinking of you as you meet with Olivia's teachers. Keep at them until you see good results--speaking from personal experience with my Julie and her son, Seth !
So, JUDIE is just in the throes of winding up her teaching career. That's a relief. Will look forward to her wise words and wit when she can get back to us !
LORI, are all those skills a part of book learning so far ? If so, when do you graduate to hands on training ? Think of you often and wish you nothing by high marks and great success !
MARGY, I noticed SANDI's query about Carolyn. Did we miss something important regarding our dear JEWELS ? Good luck with warding off the effects of aging--it's a lot of work, but will pay off !
HODA, your own efforts in that regard are quite amazing ! Wishing you luck as you explore so many avenues to good health, both physical and mental ! You are an inspiration !!!
Hurray for SHIRLEY's bowling team and great news re:LORETTA's dear nose !!!
Other than going out to vote, I spent yesterday pricing auto/condo insurance. Stan and I switched from Allstate to AARP/Hartford 10 years ago, enjoying a huge reduction on the autos. Every year since then there have been increases, til' this year it was ridiculous. I think they rely on the long held thought that they are the cheapest for we seniors. I checked company ratings by Standard and Poores and others and then got in touch with Geico, Progressive, Liberty Mutual and Nationwide, receiving a wide range of prices for the very same coverages. Long story a bit shorter I found that ♫ Nationwide is on your side ♪♪. My combo of auto/condo insurance is going to be cut in half ! Yeah ! Passing this along in case some of you need to do some pricing, too. It's so easy to let the companies keep increasing without question. I will price and change every year if I must. Lesson learned.
Penny and I are enjoying another glorious Fall day before rain hits again this afternoon/evening.
Good morning to all my friends ♥ Beautiful day - warm and sunny - and I am watching my trees drop their leaves....... Sad but beautiful.
Just another leisure day for me... I had best get myself some Christmas cards - I know with postage it is getting to be an expense but I love to receive Christmas mail. Each year it gets a little less but family and friends are important. I try to do my best.
Janet - for sure will be sending you positive thoughts as you get your point across to Olivia's teachers. Well that they sure know you are one persistent mother!
Andy - glad you shopped around for the insurance. I always compare the new bill's price to the previous one. They can increase and even just a few bucks is too much.
Lori - hope you are having a productive day and learning more skills! Soon you will be putting them to use.
Lolly - I know how excited you are to get to Dallas to have quality time with that special gs. Enjoy..
Hi, Gang, Dropping in to say hello before we take off for a presentation about these timeshares. Takes an hour out of your day, but they give you $80 worth of gift certificates, which we are going to use tonight to eat dinner at the Canyon Grille Restaurant here. The $80 will go quickly! They say the food is fabulous! Will give an update when I check in later. Have a fabulous day, everyone! (Oh--we called and checked on Emma, and she finally went potty. What a relief that must have been!LOL) Praying for everyone in need. I ♥ us!!!
Good morning! Slept late! 52 and cloudy, but did see the sun peek through once!
Need to get a move on. Want to work on my ornaments for a while before heading to Dallas. Oh, and need to get our walk in. Yesterday watched Atlanta Pandas while walking. LOL Sooo cute! Momma was trying to hug and hold that wiggly baby and the baby would have nothing to do with it. Wanted to wiggle wiggle wiggle. So funny! Our half hour of walking went by fast!
Wishing you well with the teacher conference today, Janet! Listen carefully to what they say and take notes. Surely they will listen carefully to your concerns. Love concerned, caring parents as there are so many who do not!
Time to get busy!
Oh, when loading my cams to this computer, saw where Blackwater is up and they have seen their eagles at the nest! So ready for our cam!
Off to yoga, to see the doctor about my cold and my rotator cuff.
KAY JEWEL had a feminine issue procedure. She was uncomfortable about being put in under. She came through with flying colours!
Praying seems so very important right now so this is what I am focused on. Samia, my sister in Egypt, is doing well. Thank you for your supportive prayers for her eyes.
Michael just called. We have to take a different route to his house. President is at a house in Michael's neighborhood. Police are everywhere! Interesting!
Samia is certainly in my prayers, too ! Having "been there done that" I can't imagine having both eyes done at the same time. Keep us posted on her recovery, please !
Hmmm, JO, I'm about to watch The News Hour---wonder if they'll report on the President's mission in Michael's neighborhood. A couple of years ago he visited a family in my neighborhood--it does create a mess for a while !
Hello home from work and it is just beautiful out side 77° and low humidity and lo dew point makes it fabulous The hi for this weeks says 80° in Pinellas Park Lovin it LO 67 Sweet Ok I will stop braggin on our great weather
ODD that yesterday we didn't have voting in my precinct but in St Pete had mayor and also in Clearwater they did also and Good news Winter the Dolphin or I should say Clearwater Marina got the approval to expand in downtown Clearwater
I had remembered that JUDIE said that they had gotten a new lap top and I thought maybe that is why she hadn't been on Said she was gonna take a class maybe That scares me about buying a new one I was thinking about the Surface 2 little pricey but I like the detachable keyboard option 449 is what I heard and if we get at work or Walmart.com I can get my 10%off
ANDY want to hear about your hours we were gonna do that at Disney but Carl thought it would take more than a hour and that they wouldn't let you go after a hour LOL Hope it is just a hour
HODA I check the prices of the organic at work Broccoli and carrots and onions I sent you pic of the prices that way I didn't have to remember them LOL
Wow I saw that JUDYE! Less than three dollars for organic broccoli! Totally blows my mind. I think our non organic broccoli is more expensive than three dollars. Food is definitely less expensive in the USA. Thank you for checking
Got to take a beach walk...took a flash light...nice here tonight.
Found a box at work...have to pack the presents...going to work on various other things tonight.
Larry's sister had surgery today to remove some scar tissue from previous operation...plus they found a hernia which they repaired...hope it helps with her pain...I think she is 75 or so...nice person.

We are on way home! Had a fantastic time! Zacharooski is a riot! Oh how I love that boy!!
No problem getting there. Took another route. Street we usually take had patrol cars in every drive way and the police were out of their cars. We went out to eat and traffic was heavy!
Shhhhh! Do not tell Hoda or Shirley I am here. They have been stalking me. No kidding! They are spies!!! Beware!!!!!They followed me all the way home. Scary!
Not much time again this morning. Instructor overloaded us with homework and I couldn't even finish all that is due today. Was so upset that I wouldn't have enough time to study for Skills test today. Pray it goes great and I know what to do for each procedure. Was up until 10:30 last night then couldn't fall asleep.
JO, so glad Michael was pleased with his doc visit.
KAY, yay on the tremendous money savings you got for shopping around!
Boy really a big downpour right now, sounds like a train out there!
LOLLY, glad you got some special time with Zacharooski!
Gotta run - still so much to study. Love you all and wish you a bright and cheery day! Will check in later.
Good soggy Thursday morning Lori and all my eagle friends.
Grades are in and some of my kids and their parents are not going to be too happy. As the special ed. teacher, I don't assign the grades - the classroom teacher does - but have the authority to challenge and even change a grade if I strongly disagree with it. I have never changed a kid's grade and won't challenge a failing one during first marking period. Some kids need a wake-up call - they need to see that, if they don't do their homework and play around in class, then they get failing grades on their report cards. I'll tell my 13 kids what they'll be seeing on their report cards tomorrow so they can start planning what they're going to say to Mom and Dad.
Lori, good luck today! I know August seems like a long way away but you can do this!
Paula, sorry to hear that Larry STILL doesn't have an offer on his house. Will you be selling your house in Emmitsburg or will you keep both places?
Fell asleep watching TV at 9:15 but I'm still tired this morning. Two more days, then a 3-day weekend!
Good morning. Yesterday felt crazy. I rushed about in the morning trying to get Olivia off to school and the house cleaned up. After the two morning massages, I went and had a chiropractic adjustment. My that felt great. He adjusted my wrists as well. My hands feel better too!
I ran hither and yon doing errands, trying to play catch up.
The meeting at Olivia’s school, although productive…. The specialist couldn’t be there so it was just me and the two teachers. We do have a good plan, for now. One teacher doesn’t think it’s a learning disability but a “processing” issue. Well, isn’t that still a disability???? Not that it cannot be overcome, but really???? She is the one who told me what great notes Olivia takes and when I looked at those notes later in the evening, they were ¾ of the way blank. I emailed her immediately, explaining that we cannot study incomplete notes….and Olivia is stating she moves too fast for Olivia to keep up with.
Today is Thursday, so it is ice skating day. By the time we finished errands and that meeting, I was too wiped out to make it to the ice rink last night…and we still had homework to tackle. The problem isn’t/wans’t the amount, but the attitude of the kid. She was in tears stating I just can’t do school work. I’m just no good at school work. Certainly, if you have some moments in which you could share your goodness/light/love with her, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
All righty, need to get moving moving moving. Everyone have a lovely day. Wishing each of you light, love, healing, smiles and hugs today!
It does sound like the teacher is trying to help, Janet, and that is a good thing. I think I would continue to work with that teacher via e-mail or whatever. I always appreciated parents touching base with me in a reasonable, supportive way.
Lolly doesn't know that Hoda and I are with the NSA. The Agency really likes Egyptian-Canadian women who were taught English by Scottish nuns. (Not many of those around.)
GM to all I am feeling better today I am going for a recheck this am for the cold I have had - it is getting better with the meds... In about 2 days I should be feeling good Then I have hair do around 1:00 - going to look good to celebrate our 55th anniversary tomorrow...... The rain is here and it is helping the leaves to fall - :( Love you all BBL this afternoon
NSA What NSA? There is no NSA I am but a poor old retired school teacher.
Me I know nothing about nothing! SHIRLEY probably knows about NSA. The name of the game is always to deny everything!!!
LOL
KAY I had a loud laugh! Thank you!
All is well here. No I have not seen Snowden. My nephew in law is called Snowden though. He is British!
I have seen snow though. We have a snow advisory and the roads are a mess.
Such RESPECT for you JO AND ED! 55 years dear God! I was not yet ten when you married! Sometimes I fight with my own shadow. How can two people live together for this long?
did anyone else notice the Platform camera is no longer working Says "item you selected is not currently available" like the old cam use to say once in a while So I guess that means they are working on it by disconnecting the cam maybe Will keep an eye one it just in case OK off to go play
Snowden--around here, there is a neighborhood near the hospital called that.
Living not too far from Washington, I have lots of neighbors who really are spooks of one kind or another. Some of them are my friends. But they do not talk about their jobs.
I returned from DR - waiting a few until hair do time. Dr said meds are doing the job - lungs are sounding clearer. No temp an d bp is very good. Haircut went well and I did schedule another a week or two before Christmas. If I start to neglect myself I am in big trouble.. lol When I look good I feel better.
Happy early 55th anniversary, JO. That is such a blessing.
I about fell out of my chair laughing at HODA writing that she fights with her shadow. Too funny.
What's all the NSA talk today?
It's strange to be someone who knew so much about the news, to being someone now who doesn't have time to watch or listen to it.
SANDY, glad you're done with report cards. Totally agree with your thinking about not challenging grades in the first quarter.
JANET, sure hope things improve for Olivia after your meeting with the two teachers. Wish I had some words of wisdom for you, but I've only raised animals. :)
SHARON, I miss you and wish you were here more often like you used to be. How are you?
OH, I passed the Skills Test today. It was a pass or fail, so no score to report. Just so glad it's over with. We worked in our simulation lab on life size, very anatomically correct smart dummies that even pee when you insert the catheter! Again, so glad it's over! Can't wait to go to bed early tonight. :)
Slight chance of snow here tonight.
KAY, glad to hear that Ohio is sunny - not the case here. Pouring rain last night and this morning.
LORI do pleased of your good results report today. I too hope you get to bed early.
NSA chatter was just that chatter. SHIRLEY and I were able to track LOLLY and JACK on their trip back from Dallas. We were on FB Chat. She had her GPS on and we could see her on a map. She said we were spying on her. NSA came up as a joke and of course I ran with it! Too funny an opportunity. All is good. Nothing to report from the real NSA!
Had a good Abs class. Headed to Hot Yoga this afternoon. Then to Indian Cooking Class this evening.
It was interesting to see where Lolly and Jack were traveling. We could see her location on the map.
No real connection to any secret agency here.
Terrible storm heading for the Philippines. One of my former Scrabble opponents lives there--or was there at the time. Hope all is well with her. I've lost contact, but we played for a long time.
I saw some of those dummies in the nursing department when I taught at Germanna, but I didn't get that close to them.
Would have been strange for an English instructor to wander in and inspect the nursing school dummies, so I can only guess they were "anatomically correct" as well.
Looks like I have to run down to my insurance agency tomorrow they made a BIG mistake I just got a check in the mail from them for 60.00 that they are sending to me in error ok let me start from the beginning When I came back from vaca I had a phone call from my insurance I forgot to pay them oops so I ran up a check and dropped it in the door slot overnight 339.69 Then two days later I get a letter in the mail thanking me for the check of 399.69 notice the 60 differ well I looked in my check book I use checks that leave a copy and I did send the 339.69 not what they say they got so they entered the wrong data in their system and my bank only paid the 339.69 so the money isn't due to me Have to go argue with the I guess to give their money back I had called the bank when I got the letter the automated system said it only paid what I wrote so eventually they will realize they are 60. short in accounting
Have made arrangements with my adult children to meet Sat for dinner down in Middletown at The Main Cup. Should be fun. Only my oldest daughter can't attend due to having her daughter and 2 sons staying with her on Sat..She is just like me as her daughter and grandchildren come first! She did tell me Thank You for getting married lol
I am so excited about this 55th Wedding anniversary, Jo..... BRAVO !!! sorry I did not get a card in the mail !! If I get married this year, I will be 117 years old celebrating 55 years !! I LOVE the comment, from your oldest daughter: "Thank you for getting married " xoxox
Hi, Everyone, Checking in to let you know what we're up to. We went and visited our longtime friend Peggy Chapman, who used to work at Fender Musical Instruments. She's been retired for a few years, but she started working there in 1966, the year after Ken started working there. She was there for 35 years. She's 84 now, and looks great. I haven't seen her in person since the late '80s, though we have talked on the phone. We went out to lunch at a little Italian Restaurant in her neighborhood in Menifee. They have a nice buffet for lunch. We had a great time catching up on everything and everybody.
Jo, I'm glad you're feeling better. Thank God for the good Dr. report! I'm going to wish you a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY a day early. We need to get packed up tonight, since we are leaving for home tomorrow at the 10 am checkout time. Will need to pack up the ole laptop. Can't wait to go pick up Emma tomorrow at noon! She will have had a nice bath, and will be all clean and soft and fluffy, not to mention happy to see us!
Lori, congrats on the good grade on your test! I'm so proud of you! See? You CAN do it! By the way, those dummies they have for you and others to practice on must really be something! Amazing!
Lolly, glad you got in some Zacharooski time! So the President was hanging out in Michael's neighborhood? That must've made for a detour or two.
Well, guess I'd better scoot--time to rustle up some dinner. Will try to check back in later, before I pack up the laptop. Have a great evening, everyone! Prayers for wellness continue from this vacation roost. I ♥ us!
I am so Jonesin' to get a desktop underway here, and get to some of my favorite sites, including Blackwater, and of course, our Eagle Cam as it will appear sooner or later
Best Wishes on Cohen's Birthday, Paula....[sorry I don't know exactly which day it is...] hope it is a Happy Day your grandson.... and a good week-end in Paradise for you...
James is doing well, he got a good report card, A's and B's and one C... He's a jolly little fella'
It's about time for beddy-bye around here....have some extra work hours in the evenings the next couple of days and today also...can always use the overtime $$$
need to finish un-gardening this week-end and get some tulip and daffydil bulbs in
I am hearing these weather reports of SNOW like next week Wed - Fri. I have to stock up on my comfort food - Tell me it's not true ♥
I watched more TV then I planned - I will say Goodnight to all ♥ Remembering all those who are in need in my prayers....... Safe journeys to all.......
We had 41 this morning. Laurel had 34 and frost. YIKES! Not as cold tonight. Jack is going to get firewood tomorrow after mowing. He is behind on that!
Came back to share the latest on Norm's Caring Bridge page. He is getting a puppy!!!
Nov 6, 2013 7:22pm
"I cannot learn from Jesus why bad things occur ~ why an avalanche or flood decimates one town and not its neighbor, why leukemia strikes one child and not another - but I surely learn how God feels about such tragedies. I simply look at how Jesus responds to the sisters of His good friend, Lazarus, to a mother who has just lost her son or a leper banned outside the town gates. Jesus gives God a face and that face is streaked with tears." Philip Yancey
This same Philip Yancey uses Norm as an example in the opening of one of his books…Norm, who, at the time was a young, exuberant, immature follower of Jesus - but I've loved Yancey's books and teaching anyway. Why do we expect baby Christians to behave as mature Christians??!! Ah, but I digress…
The Therapy Team at the Acute Rehab Floor met yesterday and talked about Norm's progress. They have posted "Norm's Game Plan" on the wall of his room - and it resembles something Coach Shula would have posted in the Dolphins' Locker Room!!! Each therapist had a set of goals and a challenge for Norm - and you can bet that Norm will do all he can to meet and then to exceed their postings. They believe he needs another three weeks of work on this floor…and the family agrees, even though he so wants to come home after almost four weeks in hospitals already. Please pray that he will be able to meet their challenges - and even more!!
One of my friends celebrated with me today as I told her about "Molly" - a puppy who will be coming to join our family a couple of days before Thanksgiving. She said, "In light of all that Norm has lost - it is wonderful that he will "gain" a new, young, exuberant friend when he comes home". Amen, Sister!! Deana delivered a picture to him when she and Monte went to spend today with him - and she tells me that he stopped everyone on his floor and showed them his soon-to-be-new-best-friend!!!! I thought you would enjoy meeting Molly as well! My prayer is that this little one will adore her new master - and lead him to a new plateau of healing and much joy!! Thanks for your continued prayers for all of us. Bobbe
Hope I make it through this posting. Computer has been locking up royally this morning.
JO, Happy Anniversary! Hope it's a very, very special day for both of you. Take a picture of your flowers.
LOLLY, nice posting on Norm. Bobbee does such a good job with the updates. So exciting that they're getting a puppy, but she didn't say what kind.
JUDYE, yes, I do remember the Flintstones Happy Anniversary song and it's been playing over and over in my head since you mentioned it! :)
HODA, did you get the snow that was in your forecast? Snowed in town last night but not here. Is Hot Yoga like Bikrahm (sp) Yoga where they crank the heat up to 100+ degrees and you do yoga and sweat? You are a true yoga goddess!
MARGY, glad you're getting in some overtime, but don't let it take your sunshiny presence away from us.
SHIRLEY, what are your plans for the weekend? Thanks for mentioning that big typhoon storm in the Philippines. Wow - winds to 235 mph! Prayers for the island and its residents.
Wonder how many days of teaching JUDIE has left now?
JANET, hope you get a break and some time to rest up this weekend.
PAULA, Have a great weekend. I just love it that you're loving your new job and new home. :)
SANDI, Hope you have a great day at school now that report card time is over for you. Any big plans this weekend?
Guess I should check the weekend weather - can't remember what it's going to be like, except no snow.
Good Friday morning Lori and all my eagle friends!
Jo, happy 55th to you and Ed! I wish you 55 more!!
Janet, what's the subject that Livvy is having so much trouble understanding? Is it math? If so, have you considered a private tutor in addition to the tutoring at school? And YES, a processing problem IS a form of learning disability! Keep pushing!
Good morning. Went to bed @ 8:30 last night and slept hard. I was really tired. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY; JO!! Lots of love and congrats to you both! LORI: I am off Sunday. I plan to sleep in. early bedtime again tonight I think. Another rocking day ahead. 33 and chilly here this morning. They are saying…..next week we have some rain moving in and it might might might mix with snow… Livvy got her new ice skates last night. Now its break in time. Skate for them on 10 to 15 min, then switch to the old skates. She also starts practice for the ice show tomorrow. I am excited for her. Everyone, have a lovely day. Light, love, hugs and smiles!

CLAIMING MY FEATHER.
Good morning everyone.
All is good here
Sorry about bomb scare Lori
Keep us posted on Michael Jo.
Missing Judie. Hope Margy phones her today.
Oh did not check the box.
Trying to keep the head cold from becoming a chest cold too is my plan this week.
YAY - So happy to see you over here
SHARON! Big hugs! Glad you had a great convention.
STEVE, thank you for the fresh, new thread.
HODA, sorry you have to deal with that danged cold. They're just miserable. Hugs of comfort.
LOLLY, forgot to say on the old thread about how much I dislike typing on my iPad, too. lol
Hi!
Hope everyone else is doing well.
And would you believe Turkey Day is on its way?
Hope everyone has had a good day! Later all!
home from work and find a new thread THANKS FOR THE FRESH THREAD STEVE
the live feed on the tree has shifted even more to the right now can only see the crotch of the branch where they would set small area
Wahoo!!! Sitting here with my new laptop and feeling like Ms Gotrocks! Setting up my favorites bar and this log is #1!!!
Gee, no excuse from typos anymore!
Wahoo!!! Sitting here with my new laptop and feeling like Ms Gotrocks! Setting up my favorites bar and this log is #1!!!
Congratulations Lolly on the new lap top.
Which kind did you get?
It is a Toshiba. Did not want a bi expensive one, but there were some things I just had to have on it as well as a key board that I liked. So far, so good!
Toshiba is very good.
Glad you had choices and that you are pleased with them.
Whoops, already a typo and can not blame it on ipad. Whoops!
How much is organic broccoli in your part of the world?
Today Broccoli was 9.75 a pound!
Locally grown at that!!!
I am zipping along and loving it! :)
Do not buy organic, Hoda, so do not know the price, but it certainly was no where near that! Geeeesh!
LOL Hoda, you will be happy to know I added you to my dictionary.
How many inches LOLLY
LOLLY if you run with Google chrome its has auto spell check red line under as typing it I love it
HODA I will try to remember to check at work tomorrow in our Produce dept Organic Broccoli

CHECK OUT GOOGLE

14 pund baby wearing same size diapers as her 2yr old sisters
I love the pictures of all three in the crib on the web site I posted so stinkin cute
Such a sweet baby, but oh so big!

Wonderful, your convention and the statistics you posted....my step-daughter could go for those figures !!!
More in a minute
xo
Hoda,
I buy a lot of Organic foods...bananas,celery,salads...
but the prices are not so high as yours there...I used to buy broccoli more often, but it IS pricey...
I do get the Organic carrots also
ALSO: I love the sweet potato chips and a co-worker made kale chips one time also, Yummerini!
Toshiba eh Lolly? Well, Good On You !!!
Might as well go for the Gold....
H
Have FUN I was about to say.
lovely to see our NC Suzan posting...
yes, Suzan, travel has been very fun!
I am fortunate, both the Germany trip and the California trip....were gifts...I had minimal costs on both.
Got to love Family !!
Oh Bother! What is it with me tonight ???
JudyE, shucks I missed the Crescent Moon tonight, must have been an infant !! We did have some somewhat cloudy cover, but I DID see
Venus...I shall take a gander Tuesday night
I was at court today...first, go at 1, then, no, go at 2, then, come back in the morning.
just didn't get to my turn as a witness...something for work.....
All dressed up and now I have to do that again
Tuesday !
so that kind of threw my schedule out of order for calling Judie...
this was also my day off but a lot of it was tied up waiting to appear...
You're right, JudyE...no interactive on Google, but I sure had a blast with the Hallowe'en image !!
different things into the cauldron in different orders....Fun!
Just for the Heck of it, I am playing some Christmas CDs this evening :)
Best Wishes to
ALL on a very good evening
Lori: So sorry about the bomb threat...that is pretty darn juvenile...but serious nonetheless !!!
ttfn xo !
Christmas music? Wow, Margy!
Curry Rice,
with REAL curry paste. Had a meal of that in California, as my niece is
Japanese, she walked me through it,
the cooking.
JO: I hope Miracle Michael gets
a Stellar report from his doctor.
Supper sounds yummy MARGY.
Curry anything is a winner for me so long as it is vegetarian
What vegetables did you have in the curry rice?
Oh now you put the idea in my head and I am hungry!!!
Hoda:
Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, Onions.
If I get some more venison meat,I will use that next time
oh, and water broth left over
from steaming organic carrots
last night :)
I could have added green peppers, and I will probably do that next time
it would stand alone without the meat, Hoda....
but I had a good cut of organic beef
so I used that
tubby time here...
ttfn xoxoxox
Oh, yum, Margy!! Sounds delish!
We had salmon croquettes with green onion sauce, along with rice and asparagus.
Scrumptiously Delicious.
I will try that.
Yum yum MARGY
thank you for sharing.
I will talk to Edward in Greece tomorrow. I am so looking forward to it. I miss him.
Good night all
God Bless Us All
G'night, Precious Pals...
tomorrow is a
Brand Spanking New Day.
Hope it's a Good One!
God Bless Us,
Every One xoxox
Regular life can now begin!(With more eagles, I hope!)
Shar, I love your meeting story.
Late Late evening and I am just now finding this new fresh thread...

NJ mall on lockdown. Reported shootings.
Some are being evacuated.
Prayers for sure
Hi, Everyone,
Getting here kinda late tonight, but didn't want to wait until tomorrow and worry you guys.
Night all! SED
Pulling a Margy to come back to say, great report, Loretta!!!
Also, Andy, glad to hear you like your laptop. Good to hear as we just bought one I liked in the lower end of the price range. LOL
Good Tuesday morning everyone!
Good morning Lori and all my eagle friends!
Have a great day all!!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
65° out now
Hoping everyone has a great day in no matter what they do
LORETTA so happy ITs ALIVE
GONE GONE the little tiny view that we DID have of the branch on the tree this morning is NOW GONE

Bobbe
JUDIE is Alive and Well -
she is stuck on Rt 95 at 15 miles an hour - she will return my call in about an hour
Now with that good news and all the good information that I have gotten from reading all yesterday's comments
GOOD TUESDAY MORNING
BBL
I guess Tues is bowling day for Shirley...... I'll be on the lookout here for her to come on...
All these new computers - maybe I need a laptop. Not sure - only thing that would make me NOT want one is my stubby fingers and the keyboard..
I'm Back............
I just had a beautiful woodpecker on the deck feeding.....
Not a downey I'm Sure
Not a pileated I'm Sure
For sure it was a red-bellied - just found it in my birding book

Good afternoon,
Yes, I did have bowling today. So far, our team is in first place.
Went out and voted awhile ago. Strange--we have two polling places next door to each other. I went to the wrong one first. Got very worried when they could not find my name on the list, but then they said I was at the wrong place. Seems that I wasn't the only one confused.
So glad you were able to reach Judie, Jo.
Great to have a report on Judie. Have really missed her interesting comments.
Lolly - TX snowmen should have TX cowboy hats ♥
Shirley when we have additional schools used for voting - they send us a voting card almost each year or at least when our poling place changes.
Jo any news on Michael?
Thank you for contacting JUDIE.
Looking for news from Jewels too. Anyone heard anything yet?
You all are three hours ahead and I figure we should have heard by now.
PRAYERS
OK Carolyn posted on FB that all went well.
Good news that would be!
Now the others...
Oh Wonderful about Carolyn...
Thank you Hoda !! Had her on my mind..all day...

Now,waiting to get the Miracle Michael report

Saw the crescent moon :)
AND.... I am happy that JO talked with both Darth AND then Judie !
I also rang her up around 5:15 as she was in the Scullery....
busy she is, just finished grading 100 papers, still catching up from two weeks' worth of kaplooie computer, AND she starts teaching a Police class coming up...
She said she WILL get back with us
soon as she can....
She sounded great...and I was
knowing I would see JO's report soon as I got on here....so that was comforting...Thanks Jo !!
Yes, Hoda...get your Immune game going...sure you can do well with this, as you are "into" so many
healthful things
LOLLY, sounds like a great project you have going on with the Ornaments....makes for happy times in the Holidays

the trial continues for several days....but WE are not on trial, just had to produce the tape of a call, and some paperwork
Thank you MARGY on JUDIE.
Blessed be.
Now Miracle Michael please.
Seeing some beauteous Cardinals on Christmas cards and holiday things....oh, can I resist these things ???
time to head out for a meeting,

8pm - time for Terrific TV Tuesday to begin.......... BBL
Evening all!
I was slam wore out last night!
Went to Lowes tonight to pick up the insulation I ordered online over the weekend. How many bats of insulation can you stuff in a Honda civic ? Lol...8 !
Also picked up gifts for Cohen. Will get them
wrapped tonight so I can mail them tomorrow.
Yes, Loretta, glad to see that your nose is better.

I LOVE US! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Excuse the typos...trying to hurry.
Big hugs.
Have a great day all!
Good Morning Eagle buds
Happy JO that he was pleased with the dr visit
Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!
Love and prayers for all !!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good morning to all my friends ♥
Beautiful day - warm and sunny - and I am watching my trees drop their leaves.......
Enjoy..
Sandi - hoping you get a handle on those grades. Judie finished up all 100 tests for her class. It was good talking with her yesterday.
Margy - hope your court appearances are finished... Seems like the sitting time without testifying wasted but I'm sure it is interesting.
Hi, Gang,
Dropping in to say hello before we take off for a presentation about these timeshares.
Lolly - thanks for the Blackwater cam info
Off to yoga, to see the doctor about my cold and my rotator cuff.
KAY JEWEL had a feminine issue procedure. She was uncomfortable about being put in under. She came through with flying colours!
Praying seems so very important right now so this is what I am focused on.
Samia, my sister in Egypt, is doing well. Thank you for your supportive prayers for her eyes.
I love us.
Have to hurry, but have completed the ornaments. Posted pics on our chat on fb. Will add them here later. They turned out great! Wahooo!
Michael just called. We have to take a different route to his house. President is at a house in Michael's neighborhood. Police are everywhere! Interesting!
Thank you, HODA ! Happy to hear JEWELS is Aok !
I love us, too !
Hello home from work and it is just beautiful out side 77° and low humidity and lo dew point makes it fabulous The hi for this weeks says 80° in Pinellas Park Lovin it LO 67 Sweet Ok I will stop braggin on our great weather

waiting to hear how JANET teacher visit went
I had remembered that JUDIE said that they had gotten a new lap top and I thought maybe that is why she hadn't been on Said she was gonna take a class maybe That scares me about buying a new one I was thinking about the Surface 2 little pricey but I like the detachable keyboard option 449 is what I heard and if we get at work or Walmart.com I can get my 10%off
ANDY want to hear about your hours we were gonna do that at Disney but Carl thought it would take more than a hour and that they wouldn't let you go after a hour LOL
Hope it is just a hour
HODA I check the prices of the organic at work Broccoli and carrots and onions I sent you pic of the prices that way I didn't have to remember them LOL
Wow I saw that JUDYE!
Less than three dollars for organic broccoli!
Totally blows my mind.
I think our non organic broccoli is more expensive than three dollars.
Food is definitely less expensive in the USA.
Thank you for checking
Evening all!
So he is home with her...playing nursemaid and taking care of tghe dogs. As you may know Larry has an apartment in her basement.
He's had some house showings lately, but no new offers.
Gotta get my rear in gear.

"In January, 2000:
Shepherdstown, W.Va. -- President Clinton on January 3 opened a new round of peace talks between Israel and Syria.
Israeli and Syrian delegations, led by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara, resumed negotiations, begun at the White House in December, at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center just outside Shepherdstown, West Virginia, a small town on the Potomac River about 70 miles (112 km) from Washington, D.C. Good morning everyone!
It's pouring cats and dogs right now.

Have a great day all!
Oh, and good morning!
In about 2 days I should be feeling good
Then I have hair do around 1:00 - going to look good to celebrate our 55th anniversary tomorrow......
The rain is here and it is helping the leaves to fall - :(
Love you all
BBL this afternoon
Take care, Jo. Hope you can beat that cold very soon.
Happy 55th anniversary, Jo! Congratulations.
Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!
JO, 55 years of wedded bliss ! Outstanding !!!
Enjoying all the updates since yesterday afternoon.
Lying low as I don't want our NSA agents zeroing in on my covert operations !
Love and prayers from sunny Ohio !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
My delete of a duplicate post. Arrrgggghhh !
I have returned from DR - waiting a few until hair do time. Dr said meds are doing the job - lungs are sounding clearer. No temp and bp is very good.
Unidentified bird on the Osprey cam at Blackwater.. No eagles at the nest.
Popcorn and Rascal are at the Vets.
Rascal gets his leg checked but Popcorn keeps him company and he stays calm. They are quite the pair
BBL
NSA
What NSA?
There is no NSA
I am but a poor old retired school teacher.
MAGIC LOVE LIGHT is how!
RESPECT
Good Dr report JO
PRAISES PRAISE PRAISE TO THE LORD.
Good afternoon eagle buds
I thought tomorrow is JO anniversary not today or are you all just wishing it earlier
oh I just read her comment about getting her hair done for the big event read before you comment Judy
A Early Happy Anniversary JO
funny when I think of anyone anniversary you will never get what song comes in my head and its every time
the song that Fred Flintstone sang at the piano Happy anniversary
anyone else remember it
did anyone else notice the Platform camera is no longer working Says "item you selected is not currently available" like the old cam use to say once in a while So I guess that means they are working on it by disconnecting the cam maybe Will keep an eye one it just in case OK off to go play
NSA--National Security Agency, I believe.
Snowden--around here, there is a neighborhood near the hospital called that.
Living not too far from Washington, I have lots of neighbors who really are spooks of one kind or another. Some of them are my friends. But they do not talk about their jobs.
Snow--I have seen it. Saw some in Colorado in August. Not any around here yet.
Hoping that the cam will soon be available for viewing, Judy. It is getting close to the season for eagle-watching.
I returned from DR - waiting a few until hair do time. Dr said meds are doing the job - lungs are sounding clearer. No temp an d bp is very good.
Haircut went well and I did schedule another a week or two before Christmas. If I start to neglect myself I am in big trouble.. lol
When I look good I feel better.
Happy for you and your good dr. report, Jo.
Good idea to schedule the hair appointment.
Good afternoon!
I wore my winter coat today.
Peeing dummies? Oh, my.
I saw some of those dummies in the nursing department when I taught at Germanna, but I didn't get that close to them.
Would have been strange for an English instructor to wander in and inspect the nursing school dummies, so I can only guess they were "anatomically correct" as well.
Congrats on the "pass," Lori.
Looks like I have to run down to my insurance agency tomorrow they made a BIG mistake I just got a check in the mail from them for 60.00 that they are sending to me in error
ok let me start from the beginning When I came back from vaca I had a phone call from my insurance I forgot to pay them oops so I ran up a check and dropped it in the door slot overnight 339.69 Then two days later I get a letter in the mail thanking me for the check of 399.69 notice the 60 differ well I looked in my check book I use checks that leave a copy and I did send the 339.69 not what they say they got so they entered the wrong data in their system and my bank only paid the 339.69 so the money isn't due to me
Have to go argue with the I guess to give their money back I had called the bank when I got the letter the automated system said it only paid what I wrote so eventually they will realize they are 60. short in accounting
Good for yo0u Lori "Pass" you did ♥
Have made arrangements with my adult children to meet Sat for dinner down in Middletown at The Main Cup. Should
be fun. Only my oldest daughter can't attend due to having her daughter and 2 sons staying with her

BRAVO !!!

If I get married this year, I will be 117 years old celebrating
55 years !! I LOVE the comment, from your oldest daughter:

Hi, Everyone,
Checking in to let you know what we're up to. We went and visited our longtime friend Peggy Chapman, who used to work at Fender Musical Instruments. She's been retired for a few years, but she started working there in
1966, the year after Ken started working there.
I ♥ us!
I am so Jonesin' to get a desktop
underway here, and get to some of my favorite sites, including Blackwater, and of course, our Eagle Cam as it will appear sooner or later
Happy Trails, Andrea, and
Safe Angel Traveling Wishes,

Shutting down for the night.
((hugs)) SED!!!
SED, everyone. I will see you tomorrow. Stay warm, everyone.
Bobbe
:)--So very nice, Lolly. A puppy.
I just happened to stop by and see your post. God bless Norm.
Must sleep now.
Goodnight
God Bless Us All
Good Red FRIDAY morning everyone!
It's all classroom today at school, and no test!
Love and light, big smiles and hugs for everyone.
Have a great day all.
They are saying…..next week we have some rain moving in and it might might might mix with snow…
Livvy got her new ice skates last night. Now its break in time. Skate for them on 10 to 15 min, then switch to the old skates.
She also starts practice for the ice show tomorrow. I am excited for her.
Everyone, have a lovely day. Light, love, hugs and smiles!
