Good Sunday morning to all.
It is raining here. A cold front is moving thru and cooler weather for the next few days. I’m rather glad that it is raining, feels good to me today.
I had a busy week last week and another one straight ahead. This coming week is my 6 day work week. Well 5 and a half.
Anyway, livvy went to sylvan and was evaluated yesterday. We will discuss the results on Wednesday afternoon. I anticipate starting this process in the next week to ten days.
She has been a attitude-mood since Friday afternoon. Letting her sleep this morning and enjoying some dvr-ed shows and coffee.
STRONGHUNTER; such a happy surprise for Hunter!!!!! Mum’s the word!
LORI: how goes school? I think of you each day – especially since Olivia is studying the body systems right now. Lol.
And yes, I am teaching them each night.
Not a lot else going on. Hard to believe Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away. Looks like it is just us and the kids this year, and I’m rather glad.
Everyone have a wonderful day. Light, love, healing and smiles to each of you! ((((hugs))))

I have had a beautiful morning with Jenny at Market and then at the CHRISTMAS House in Boonsboro. Got some baskets and then some Christmas items (Cards and such) in Boonsboro.

Michael is with Christine and family in Baltimore - there was a Color Run and Christine, Samantha and Michael along with Christine's best friend Samantha accomplished the run - started out clean and wound up full of colors on themselves! So very happy for them all ♥

Cooking a turkey tomorrow night for our Thanksgiving lunch at work on Wednesday.

Those chocolate covered chips sound yummy.

Wow, lots of tornadoes today. I have been busy and wasn't aware.

Would like to hear from Glo, Kay, and others in that part of the country.

magpie said...

Me too, Shirley...
definitely looked like Glo was in the "warned area." Not sure about Kay, but yes, probably her also....
Ravens' game started at 1, and ended around 6:45 with the weather delays

Have been communicating with a college friend who lives in Kentucky. She is fine but thinks the storms are headed for us. It does look that way. Just hope things are not so bad when the front gets here.

I am plumb wore out. Been trying to get the house decent for visitors--Bridge, Susan on the day before Thanksgiving, the rest of the family on Thanksgiving, and then Hunter's birthday gathering.

Will see you tomorrow. SED.

It was a fun day. Dessert auction is always fun! We made 1,407. Not bad! Now next month we will give all our money away. That is really fun!!

Helped clean up afterwards and then came home and cleaned house...a little

They say our high broke a record, but I was quite comfortable. It is already cooler and headed down into the 50's tonight.

Headed to Laurel's tomorrow. Needed to cook dinner before we go and then take it up there, Spaghetti and meatballs on the menu!

Night all! SED!

Good back to work Monday morning everyone...well, back to work for those who are not retired.

Glad that GLO is safe. Wish we'd hear from KAY now.

PAULA, you go gurl with the turkey for Thanksgiving at work. You must like to cook. Wish I did. :)

MARGIE, so cool that you know there's an eagle in your work area too - just like PAULA. We have these funky roller shades on the classroom windows so don't get to see much of anything. Did see several crows and vultures out back yesterday!

HODA, Love, love, love YOU! Congratulations on the high earning dinner, and hope you had a magical birthday!

SHIRLEY, that is a very nice surprise for Hunter...is Kat keeping the whole trip a surprise until they board the plane?

JO, glad you got to the Market yesterday. I know you'll be getting a wreath when Meagan begins selling them. Congrats to all on the Color Run.

LOLLY, hope your dessert was the high money maker for your auction. Enjoy your dinner in Denton.

Okay I'm off to start my week of craziness. A test today on the Senses, mostly eyes and ears, and some homework due. Need to go study some more. Tomorrow will be a nightmarish day at the LTCF trying to get in all my patients time and doing all the paperwork we've been assigned. Hope this week goes fast and I do great on the tests and finals. Math tutor today, too.

Love you all very, very much!

Good morning Lori and all my eagle friends! Raining here this morning but warm - 59 degrees. Slept with the sliding glass door open in our bedroom until about 5am when the rain picked up.

Ugghh - 5 day week ahead. Interested to see if anything happens to my colleague for her outburst on Friday.

Hope we get a new thread today - wonder if Steve is waiting to give us a cam update when he posts the new thread?!

Prayers for all - have a great day!

So good morning! Thought I would check in to see what is happening in eagle world. Most of you I still get to see on Facebook, but I miss you non-facebookers.
Kay-How are you doing? Was thinking of you when we went to Dayton last. It was kind of a quick trip down and back. Aric was having some issues. Sometime hopefully we will get together again before he graduations!
Lori-How is school. I hope it's not stressing you out too much. I'm sure you are doing great!
Jo-How was the market yesterday? I thought the basketman was going back to wherever he is from. Didn't he say that last year?
Sandi-How is Bandit doing with his depends. At least they are fashionable!!
Hoda-Gotta tell you, my mom just loves you! She always talks about your sweet posts on my Facebook messages.

Life is good in the Hilmoe house at the current moment. This of course, is subject to change with teens and young adults in the house.
Dad is doing well. Many of you would not know, but about a month ago we had a terrible situation where he was coughing up blood and getting no answers from our hospital. Once that was resolved he started back to his chemo. between chemo treatments he fell. Yeah...that's what it's been like around here and sandwiched in there was our trip to Dayton to help Aric who was going through a difficult time. Dad has a fractured pelvis, which of course there isn't anything they can do for it. He gets around okay with a walker, but can't drive. He had his last chemo treatment on Friday and has a CT scan today. Then we get results on Wednesday and down to Hopkins for a follow-up from the bleeding (yes, that is where we ended up! 2 weeks after the fact!!!)

Excuse the typo's in that last message and the poor grammar! Yikes!

Good morning,

So nice to see Dana has posted on the blog. Good to know that your dad is recovering, but sorry about the fall.

Thanks for posting, Janet. Yes, terrible tornado damage. Glad you all are okay.

Lori, Kathryn has decided to drive so that she'll have her car when she gets to Florida. I think she is going to put something together in a package for Hunter to open Christmas morning.

It blew and rained here, too. I heard it in the night, but all is well this morning.

Good to know Judie sent you a card, Hoda. We're all missing you, Judie.

Good Monday Morning to all ♥
I just put seed and peanuts out to my little critters and it is 57°

Must have been lots of wind last night as leaves are all over the deck

Steve - I am hoping for a new Monday thread - we have split enough

Mema Jo said...

Can't blame Kathryn for wanting to drive - Christmas time to FL has airfares up I'm sure. Hunter is one lucky kid!

Lolly and Hoda - great work at your fundraisers... I agree that the best part is giving it away.

I have received from Paula the email for Sweet Potato Biscuits - I remember, I think, that I am to forward it to someone else.WHO ???

Mema Jo said...

DANA - Thanks so much for your dad's update. I keep praying for his good test results.
I know that you ordered weekly flowers throughout the summer from Megan - go to FB Megan Webber's Flowers and she has some new ways to order. Basket man had gone back but Megan gave me head's up on his being there this past Sunday.... Lots of baskets!
Megan will sell wreaths the Sat-Sun after Thanksgiving.

Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!

Thanks for thinking of me yesterday. I didn't get on the computer once the rain and wind began to materialize. We were under a tornado watch much of the day. No big damage or power outage in my neighborhood, but a lot of devastation in the southern part of the county. I don't believe there was loss of life here, but I know other parts of the mid-west suffered greatly.

I was thinking of you on your special day HODA ! It was a day of remembrance for me as well because my dear Stan and my sister Karen shared their Novemeber 17th birthdays. I miss them so !

DANA, so happy you posted a wonderful update here ! Glad you were able to provide Aric with the support he needed. I hope we'll be able to meet here in Columbus again on one of your trips through ! The report on your dad's welfare is encouraging--prayers continue !!

SHIRLEY, Kathryn's surprise for the very lucky Hunter is safely shared with us ! We love happy news, as you well know !

LORI, will hold you in my thoughts during this very busy week for you ! It will surely go fast and I'm sure you'll do well on all tests and projects !!!

Miss Penny seems to think she needs some TLC, so bye for now....
