This Friday we will be replacing the UPS in our computer room. this will take a few days to complete. I anticipate the cam will go offline sometime Friday afternoon and be off through the weekend.

Just got out of the shower after mowing the yard and breaking off the big thing that shoots out the grass, so I was a big dirt clod! But, at least, the mowing is done.
Already had some sprinkles here. Supposed to get up to 3/4" of rain late this afternoon and evening. We need it after this hot week.

The female juvie is the larger of the two and she has more tail feathers - they're wider. She is usually up on the stump on the left aka balcony.
The smaller juvie is the male and he keeps standing right there at the tree trunk on the left...

Watching the news this morning. Learned that three storm chasers were killed by a tornado on Friday night. This was in addition to the ones from the Weather Channel who were injured. Sad.
Planning to meet Will for some dinner later on. Kathryn has gone to dine with her friends.
Woke up to the sound of cicadas--again. This morning, they were especially loud. Even with all of the windows closed.
They are everywhere. Flying around trees. Landing on everything.

Yep in Fl you can own a kangaroo as a pet I did not know that so far they can't find its owner There is a farm that has them in that area but say that its not theirs

Listening to a CBC radio program on Mental Health and the Pastor who had his therapist tell the congregation of his depression.
200 people from the congregation stood up promising to play for him daily for a hundred days. They were supportive.He was out for a year...and then he retired. I have respect for the congregation.

Returned home 7:35pm to find both juvies in the nest! Glad I wasn't here for the 'blackout'. It has been a busy day for these two - I wonder what tomorrow shall bring. The weather is less humid now and quite pleasant. Headed into TV for 22 hour show.
Oh, wait, eaglet just moved. Just stretched out in a strange position and not moving much.

Bless Jack! He did a major job today. We have some shrubs on either side of the stream that had gotten too large. He removed them!! Going to have to do some more planting now. First have to decide what and then get with it. We are both happy to have those shrubs gone!!

Cannot imagine what has come over Darth. Complete interior painting scheduled to begin 6/10 and he is now willing to replace upstairs carpeting. Both upstairs and down are hardwood but upstairs has wall-to-wall. Tomorrow will go to the carpet store.
Sandperson will be on the way at 11pm. Restful sleep for all.

Drove out the area of the last sighting after work Saturday...though it was several hours after the last reported sighting.....no luck! DNR Wild Game person said it would probably return to its den if it could....just to encourage people to leave it alone and maybe it would do just that very thing, sure hope so !!!
Oh! It is raining hereabouts in Martinsburg now, good thing, we kind of need it, and I don't have to do the one-gallon water bottle brigade tonight ☺

Unpleasant surprise to find the cam down. Maybe it will return in a little while. Rainy here.
I am not questioning Darth. It is my shock that he is agreeable to all this updating. It has been 27 years. My mistake anxiety is seriously elevated this morning. Will visit again with a carpet/paint color update.
Isla has one more egg due to hatch tomorrow -- 60+ eggs and 49 hatches in 23 years -- current ospreylette looks strong. Bears are busy doing bear things. RTH babes are wet and preening and almost adult size. Kestrel camera down also.
Going to finish my coffee and make myself less scary then off to see the purveyor of carpet with paint colors in hand.
