Did as suggested and googled "dandy lions". Lots of info. Seems I can preserve them & then send on to all the adventurous, healthy eaters in the group. Beware your mail. lol
Bird inventory for today: Yellow-throated warbler, Mr. and Mrs. Grosbeak, Mr. and Mrs. Cowbird, towhee, goldfinches, house finches, purple finches, mourning doves, blue jays, house sparrows, titmouse, chickadees, cardinals, song sparrow, robins, crows, a young chipmunk (I know), an older chipmunk, but not a partridge in a pear tree.

Catbirds.
I have been getting heavy rains off and on here in the valley today.
Our juvies look well watered down....
I have had lots and lots of crows!
They steal the peanuts!
Glad the rains are keeping the juvies down. Most nerve racking viewing when they near the edge.
that's such a nice birding
