Welcome Home, Sharon
Yes, Sunday would be a good day for a fledge...
(( Hugs ♥ ))

Hoda said...

Missy left the nest fifteen minutes ago or so...I did not notice when she left, I am just relieved that she left!!! I checked other sites and no one seems to have observed when she took her exit just that she has. She might be up nine branch or at the camera case...she is NOT picking on Bro and making his life miserable is what I am relieved about...

magpie said...

So while I wasn't looking one of them glided out of sight...
got to enjoy while I can, going into the land of no internet soon.

It was great to be in Jewels' company for four hours at work today ! ♥

I have returned from Mass and afterwards
we had a good salad for dinner at Bob Evans. We are both trying to lose a pound or two (or 20) Dreamer ♥

Read all comments - I realize that many of you are emotionalizing with our critters actions towards each other. I know it is hard to watch one have more food then the other. Eventually though the male finds enough food and hangs in there. A female must or is the aggressive of the two and of course we see that as pushy or mean. I thought the same thing back in 2006, my first nest, about the female Ms InBetween. Well I could have knocked her wing a good one when she was always the one to mantel food and Big Boy and Spunky let her do it. All I'm saying is that
don't get too upset with Missy - she is all female and is going to make it out in this eagle land ! ♥♥

Good Evening Eagle Buds!!
I finally got my new bunny pictures in the Nook! Now I have to email the link to some people that want to see them.

I have not read much of anything yet, but glad Margy is around & I saw Bro is in the nest. I'll be watching Sunday!
Stopped near invisible Park nest after work and I can't swear it, but I was standing on the road right in front of the creek and a large dark bird flew across the stream valley from the nest side. I'm guessing it might have been one of the juvies. I looked forever in all the trees and couldn't find him/her. May have flown a little further into the woods. Then I walked up and into the little woodsy side of the road where you can sometimes see the nest now. I found it again from spotting flapping wings! One juvie was on the branch leading out of the nest, then went even higher out of view. It then hopped/flew onto a nearby clump of leaves. I'm telling you the whole story, because pics I got are lousy from the sun in my face. But, if I find a couple decent ones I'll post them.
Din din!! ♥ ☺ happy evening to everyone

Hoda said...

Missy did not go far, she has been up in nine branch...

Hoda said...

My post a comment box has gone back to the right side and top end of the page...I do not like it!!! Does anyone else have this problem? DO you know how to change it to go back to the bottom of the page...easier on reading and catching up when it is there...at the bottom and favouring the left side...

Mema Jo said...

Headed in to a TV movie - I may keep me interested and if not I'll be back real soom

Hoda said...

OK problem solved my favourite section had disappeared and my page was therefore wider...clicked on it and am now on the back of the page lower left...

Hoda said...

LOLLY you should have been here to tell MISSY not to be so pushy and mean and down right aggressive...the worst I have seen her yet!!! SHe even pecked on Belle and chased her off the nest and consumed two fish and Bro only managed to get one bite and she worked so hard about PUSHING him out of the nest...not nice at all...I think it is time for her to fledge and be done with it!!!

Hoda said...

Here comes Miss Contrary back in the nest and goes towards Bro but does not peck on him as he simply ignored her...she is plotzed in the middle of the nest right now...

Hoda said...

Back up Missy goes to nine branch...Bro totally ignored her being in the nest and just kept looking out five all the while she was there...he vocalizes...I think he is starved!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I can see Missy's shadow.

Lolly said...

I was looking at the cam and trying to figure out the shadows.

Hoda said...

Very nice moonlight and shadows on the nest indeed...

I was trying to put on FB the places where I have been and it kept showing me as being there now or have done it this year. Gave up on it too exhausting rather!!!
SHAR was so funny and asked me what in the world I was doing in Hong Kong!!! I am still laughing SHAR

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

What in God's name is that noise?

Lolly said...

fox?????

Hoda said...

What was that noise??? Here it is again...eeeerrriiiiiiiiiiieeeee

Lolly said...

Sounded like a cat!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

That was pretty funny Hoda. I thought "wow, I thought she was supposed to come to America??"

Lolly said...

Scary!!!!!!

Hoda said...

Really spookey...it sounds like a heavy breather on the telephone!!!
I am so glad people can no longer do that!!!

Lolly said...

And, there she was in Hong Kong! LOL

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I think that was a fox??

Lolly said...

What does a fox sound like? What ever that is...it is spooky!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It is definitely a fox, possibly an alarm bark?

JudyEddy said...

YEP PAULA said it was a fox the other nite Its been here almost every night I love the shadow of LIL BRO

Hoda said...

I am glad it stopped...I would rather think it is a fox than a spookey heavy breather...how that used to frighten me to no end when it happened!!!Hard to convince myself it was random and not personal...the sixties and seventies so strange happenings...

Lolly said...

Yes, a fox. I googled and listened to fox cries. I have always missed it when they were heard on the cam.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Fox calls

Hoda said...

Who is on your avatar SHAR is this MATTIE?

Mema Jo said...

The moon is very full and sure helps us see into the nest. I see BRO sitting on the edge at 10 and the shadow is his.
Don't know how we can see Missy but she is sure to be on Stump 9

Mema Jo said...

Tomorrow is another day - is it THE day

I'm closing down knowing they are at the nest and a lot of eyes are still on them.

Good night everyone & blessings to you
Still missing Lynn ♥♥♥♥♥
It is so good to have Carolyn and Christie near... ♥♥

Hoda said...

JO I think Missy's shadow is pointing towards six branch

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

That is my Mattie Hoda! :)

Hoda said...

Good night JO. SED

I think we will ALWAYS miss LYNN♥

Hoda said...

She is beautiful and looks very spiffy in her outfitthe hand on the hip gives her an attitude!!! Cool

Linda said...

Back after dinner, ironing, shower, and a little tv!

HODA - I got a kick out of your comments about Missy's behavior!!

She certainly is aggressive and will do well out in the wild! I worry more about BRO and his submissive behavior. Hopefully that will change when he is out on his own. Maybe he has just realized that survival with his sister means to let her have her way, since he ins't ready to leave the nest.

The're doing what God designed them to do and it is truly amazing, even though I don't like seeing aggressive behavior, too!!

I do believe Missy is VERY CLOSE to her fledge date and is VERY READY.

She's acting like a teenager that is impossible! It's so much easier to see them go off to college or their life away from home because they are so determined to do things their own way!!! Interest similarities!!

Linda said...

JUDYE - You're welcome on the reporting today. I haven't had the opportunity to be on my computer much in recent weeks, nor have I really wanted to be at my desk. Today I needed to get some things done, so I enjoyed watching and reporting activities at the nest, too!!

Once tax season is over, I don't want to be at my desk!!!

stronghunter said...

Hi,

I like the image on the cam right now. A study in shadows.

paula eagleholic said...

The moon is very bright here too

Cleaned up some more of the yrd today and planted some perennials...just now done burning all the pine needles and branches from the clean up

Did have a great steak and baked potato on the grill

Thanks for all the nest reporting!

Linda said...

Heading to bed.

SED all my Eagle Friends!!

I, too, will always miss Lynn! She always knew your schedule, always remembered so much about the details of so many of our lives, loved us all like we were her own and like she had known us all our lives and brought so much life to this blog. I was honored to be her friend!

MARGY - I will be happy when you're not running here and there so much. I dearly miss you when you are not here!!

WANDA - So happy to have you "home" again!! We missed you here.

Sleep well, My Friends!!

I love you all......

stronghunter said...

Wow, still not enough soil for the garden. I will get more tomorrow. This is getting expensive.

stronghunter said...

Will said we needed 8-12 more bags. I bought 5, and it was not enough. I do not really think I could carry 12 bags in my car.

Hoda said...

Goodnight

PRAYERS♥

stronghunter said...

Good night. I will see you tomorrow.

stronghunter said...

Hoda, I can usually get the comment box to the bottom by squeezing the page until it is pretty skinny.

stronghunter said...

One more thing__I think we are going to have to put some kind of fencing around the garden. Flash leaps into it as if he things it were built for him to play there.

stronghunter said...

as if he thinks . . .

Lolly said...

I am ready for bed and think I will head that way. Though we were under an awning we were out in the mid day for 4 hours of baseball and it got up into the 90s. It has drained me!! Fell asleep in my chair.

Do like the moon on the nest.

Nite all! SED!!!

Costume Lady said...

It was so good to have my internet back...I did a lot of 'shopping', facebooking photoing (grandchildren) paying bills. Did some gardening. We have little peppers, tomatoes, onions and beans are getting ready to bloom. I LOVE gardening this year (new knee)!

Internet went off a few times today, so if I fail to show up at least once a day, you will know my internet went out again:(

GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL

stronghunter said...

Couldn't get to sleep. I see that one eaglet is still at the 10:00 spot. I suppose that is Bro and that Missy is on her stump.

Good morning all in Eagledom!

The Race for the Cure was a big success yesterday, but going into DC always wears me out! They said there were fewer people than last yr because of the Koman/Planned Parenthood feud, but I co uldn't see a difference.

HODA, loved your feelings of Missy to fldge because she's being mean... loved Jo's thoughts that it means she will survive in the wild!

LINDA, hope you're having another migraine free day!

Just 3 more days until KAY's SURGERY on the 6th! YAY! I can't wait for you to feel better, Kay!

JUDYE, loved Jordyn's performance video you posted. I used to take dancing lessons when I was small until I was in high school!

LYNNE. how's the back today?

T-Bird said...

Good morning my eagle peeps.

Lori O. said...

Good Morning Thelma! Are you excited about your birthday coming up?

T-Bird said...

I suppose Bro is on the stump? Where is Missy?

T-Bird said...

I here at least one but maybe both?

Sandi said...

Morning Lori and Thelma! OMG, and MT nest!!!!! I knew it was coming soon but still ...

Sandi said...

OK, 2 eaglets in the nest!!

T-Bird said...

There they are.

Sandi said...

MT again - they're both in and out this AM.

Sandi said...

And both back down in the nest!

T-Bird said...

Lots of restlessness and activity at the launch pad, if it is still is the launch pad. I sure hope it is. It feels like a fledge day.?

Lori O. said...

Good morning, Sandi!

Gosh it looks soooo weird to see an EMPTY NEST!

Sandi said...

Glad to hear that Wanda is back with us on the blog but sad to hear that Kay is in so much pain. Hurry up June 6th!

What a beautiful day it was yesterday - turned off the AC and opened windows. Another gorgeous day on tap for today. Tennis for me this morning and then working on getting this d#!*n bathroom finished before these young tennis players show up next Saturday!

Incoming eaglet! One in the nest. Oops, now back to the stump.

Sandi said...

I can hear one up by the cam and can see wing tips from the other, so they're both still up there.

T-Bird said...

They sure are getting a lot of agility practice.

glo said...

Good morning everyone. Keep your eagle eyes peeled :-)

T-Bird said...

That is for sure glo.

T-Bird said...

I think I just saw a fledge. Bro fledged or went to a far limb to the right. No it had to have been a fledge.

glo said...

Hi T Bird

T-Bird said...

OMG

T-Bird said...

Hi glo. Did you see it?

T-Bird said...

There was the head bob and everything.

glo said...

I thought maybe he is just up on a branch BUT if he is gone I might have it taped I will go look at it

T-Bird said...

I can't believe it.

T-Bird said...

I hope you do glo.

T-Bird said...

If it was a branch it was a far off branch.?

T-Bird said...

I know I hear at least one.

glo said...

:-( well I did see him land on the nest "nice landing but then I hit record just as he left. Not sure if it was a branch or fledge. It wasn't from the usual launch pad but ya never know with these birds.

glo said...

I agree T Bird it was off about 2 0clock direction.

T-Bird said...

Yes, 2 o'clock, almost 3.

glo said...

I also thought it was Missy though as the landing was very smooth just before take off wherever it went. I honestly do not know but someone left to go somewhere very nicely at about the 2 oclock position.

T-Bird said...

I'm still so excited.

Lori O. said...

If it was a fledge, glad you guys saw it! What a great memory to have of our special eaglets!

glo said...

So sorry I hit record a second too late. Whomever it was landed very nicely and proceeded to just head right off the nest at about 2 O clock.

glo said...

I think Bro is on a branch and Missy may have flown the coop or is on a distant branch off to the right of the nest.

T-Bird said...

I think it was Missy too but I'm not sure.

Sandi said...

Stepped outside to look at my flowers and missed it! Can you imagine what it must feel like for them the first time they realize they can flap thoses wings and soar??!! I bet whichever one is is has a big ol' grin on his/her face. I'd bet Missy since she's had so much more practice, wouldn't you think?

glo said...

Yes it was a very smooth touch and go. Came down from a branch up above nest landed very easily and off he/she went at 2 or so. Thats why I hadn't hit record. It wasn't even launch pad position and happened so quickly after a very smooth landing. Not like the early landings i remember from newly branching eaglets :-)

T-Bird said...

I hear ya Sandi. What freedom it must be.

glo said...

well I am needing to get some things done here and then head off to coffee and dog treats. i hope someone sees some food brought to the nest and a branched eaglet gets down to eat it :-). HAGD everyone.

Sandi said...

Well Thelma, I'd say you get the eagle feather, the turtle shell(s) in the nest, or whatever else you want to lay claim to since you were the one to see it and report it! Good on you as Hoda would say!!

T-Bird said...

Yes glo when the food is brought it we will have out answer. : )

T-Bird said...

I know I've already said this twice but I'm so excited.

T-Bird said...

This feels like a Monday to me.

T-Bird said...

I'd sure like to know how close or which branch the one is on we hear.

T-Bird said...

I'm pretty sure it's not the 9 o'clock one because the sun is out and I don't see that shadow, you?

T-Bird said...

I'm so glad I was up early.

Sandi said...

I see a shadow behind the stump but it just looks like the shadow of the stump, not an eagle.

T-Bird said...

Me too Sandi. I hear an eaglet around the camera.

Linda said...

Good Morning!!

Reading that you may have seen a fledge???

If you are hearing an eaglet around the camera, that sounds like MISSY. She is the only one who has flown up there as of yesterday, but BRO sure was calling up to her all day yesterday.

Lori O. said...

Well, HODA will be happy if it was Missy who fledged, giving Bro more time to eat and grow.

SANDI, I just love your avatar. Did you take the picture? Looks so inviting!

Linda said...

And, even though the sun is out, I believe we can't see the shadow of an eagle on the stump until around 10-11am. I was watching early yesterday and couldn't see the shadow until then.

That is a nice long horizontal branch there that attaches to the long vertical branch where the camera is. If you look at some of the pictures on my blog of the nest visit in April, or LORI's or probably SANDI's, you can see that branch in some of the closer up pictures.

Maybe if MISSY did fledge, she came back to that branch. Or it is certainly possible that BRO could have flown to that position as well.

Very EXCITING that you saw it THELMA and GLO!!!

Sandi said...

Morning Linda!

Lori, I didn't take the photo, just found it online but it was perfect for where my mind is at this point in the school year!

Breakfast and then tennis - won't be able to sit and watch for our eaglet's return!

I still hear one but don't know where s/he is.

BBL!

T-Bird said...

I haven't heard any sounds for a little while.

T-Bird said...

Yes, there is one calling out.

Linda said...

Good Morning, LORI!! I am having another MIGRAINE FREE day today!! Woke up feeling just fine!! Whoo Hoo!!

Have to get ready for church, but wanted to see the nest and check in to see if our eaglets were still in the nest!

I had a strong feeling that Missy was willing and able to fledge and that today may be the day. It is a comforting feeling to know she IS ready!!

I would like to see BRO stay in for another day or so, but he is probably ready as well.

LORI - so sorry you have to work 7 days a week. Any idea when this will end??

At least you can mostly do the weekend work from home.

xoxox

Linda said...

Good Morning SANDI!

If one is calling out, it could BRO. He was sooooo vocal all day yesterday. I don't know why, but today could be because Missy fledged.

Hopefully Deeworms or someone else was recording.

HODA will check for us for sure!

JudyEddy said...

GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS I don't like seeing a MT nest I know they must leave its just part of nature but I am still saddened

Linda said...

Happy Heavenly Birthday, DONNA!!

You have such a loving family here who loves and misses you........and it is so touching to see!

A fledge today would be a present to remember.....

Linda said...

I'll be back later this afternoon. Have to get ready for church now.

Enjoy your morning!

Good Morning to you, Judy. Your Monday today, right??

Have a good day.

Linda said...

One more check-in. Deeworms has not posted any videos yet today, but she did post a couple of Missy and her "behavior" yesterday!!

JudyEddy said...

JudyEddy said...

YEP its my MON was nic being off yesterday tooo

JudyEddy said...

JudyEddy said...

that was on top of the came both in nest now

Linda said...

Both eaglets just flew into the nest. Looks like Bro on the right and Missy on the left.

JudyEddy said...

one was on 9 branch and the other on cam box now its time for me to go to work

T-Bird said...

There's is Bro and now both coming from 5 o'clock and from the stump area.

T-Bird said...

Sure wish I was there so could have scene the action.

T-Bird said...

Bro on the stump.

T-Bird said...

I mean Missy. Bro is at noon.

grannyblt said...

Good morning. Is it me or is something amiss with this site?

I see we must have a fledge as the nest was empty a while ago.

I'll check back later. HAGD

Mema Jo said...

Good morning - it is June 3 and Thelma it just may be true that she is up in the thermals and not on a branch....

I see Bro flapping and ..........
Well they both appear

Mema Jo said...

They look as though they are going to race out of the nest........

Good Morning everyone.......

Beautiful day for Megan at Market and
our critters in the nest.....

Mema Jo said...

Missy is sooooo ready ♥

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning all eagle pals.

Between the bar stool (was not that high. Wooden stool could put my feet on ground. Had no support for my back though.) and going yard sale hopping yesterday-walking in the grass-uneven ground. I can not walk very well today and fingers are swollen. Plus hand hurt so badly.

Seen Missy come down but she came the way of the stump into nest.

Prayers have been said this morning for all that need them and for our critters in the group. Kay thinking of you and the upcoming Surgery.

Mema Jo said...

Off goes Missy again
How far, how high
Nobody knows

Mema Jo said...

Yep - on the 9 Stump

Mema Jo said...

Jenny is here so I will be in and out.
I have the nest cam up but I may not look at the very right moment.

Won't be long before Missy is a goner

Janet said...

Good morning to one and to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is Sunday, the sun is bright...we had some rain this week. Everything is green and bright.

Luke is doing some better...as long as he stays on his medications. They put him on an antibitotic for a UTI. He DISPISES it. WILL NOT eat it in anything....so we have to be the evil furbaby mom and dad and put it down his throat. The tramadol he will eat in his food. Stubborn old man/dog will refuse to eat if that antibiotic is in the food...crushed, put in cheese/peanut butter/whatever. He starved himself over night and refused to eat this a.m. SHEESH. So we put it down his throat and then gave him a can of fresh food. He has to eat something....

Everyone else is doing okay.

Went fishing last night (pix on facebook). Caught a catfish.....and played with some turtles. They were catching the spinner on the spinner hook and snatching it and going under with it.....thankfully they didn't grab the treble hook! I had my lighted bobber going. THAT was way cool. I want some more of those!

HOWEVER, lmao, get this. Caught this catfish and couldn't get the hook out and NO flashlight. Not one of us was bright enough to bring a flashlight. REALLY? I never thought I'd use the flashlight app on my phone...and I sure did last night!

Full moon was out, rising over the water....bats and egrets flying around, it was just a wonderful night. :)

Well, I have some chores to tend. Have to go to work tonight for a staff meeting. Woo hoo They only do this 1x or 2 x a year, no big deal. I have a few things to add.....

Anyway, everyone have a fabulous day. I"m gonna get started on watering my plants.....

Light, and healing to all! HUGS and SMILES

Lolly said...

Good morning! I guess we have had a fledge, huh? If one took off from 2, it sounds like a fledge. Both are plotzed in the nest right now.

Glad you and Glo got to witness it, Thelma!☺

Lolly said...

Hi Jo! (((hugs)))

Judie said...

Good mid-morning to all!

I see, at least for the moment, there are two eaglets in the nest. Fledge time is nearly upon us. Must begin preparing for Empty Nest Syndrome.

Meanwhile, Ms. loon has at least one hatching, the Kestrel family is outgrowing their home, the RTH babes are preening and growing, and the Decorah babes are wingersizing and flapping and hopping, and Isla will have her one babe this season.

Wishing everyone a nice sunshiny day.

Lolly said...

Thanks, Judie for letting us know about the loon hatching. I love the yellow iris blooming on that cam!

Off to eat breakfast and finish getting ready for church.

Mema Jo said...

Janet would like to be your friend on
FB - could you friend me? ♥

Judie - did you see the little looney -
They are adorable and take to the water right away. They need to take it careful due to the Carp in the lake waiting for a snack - ad but true. I have yet to see the little one.....

wvgal_dana said...

Was just coming from the loon cam to tell you there was a hatch lol

Read back a little on our comments seen it was mentioned.

Mema Jo said...

Oh I wish I were not alone and that someone saw BRO take off...

Mema Jo said...

Now the sunlight shifted and just maybe

I should be looking for Missy...

glo said...

Well MeMa Jo it is kind of hard to tell someone else what you saw. Especially if you are the only one who saw it LOL. Did bro take the eaglet helmet with him? I tend to think this is how its going to be at this nest now. Not too sure about nothin except somethin is happenin :-)

Hoda It happened so very fast I think a few will have seen it but because of the location "Not the launch pad" no one had a chance to hit record. Glad someone on Hancock mentioned it too. Whomever it was did not Head UP to a branch. He most likely SHE headed out at 2 O Clock or so.

My recorder crashed my computer a while ago. I am so glad to be back on. I am knee deep in photography projects at the moment so I just can't turn it on. I will be watching in the background though as much as I can.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!
OMG, I see there was an MT nest early in the AM!!! Is it "follow the leader"?
Jo told the true story about nature yesterday. Greg K at Park took a group out on River trip and they came into the Visitor Center later to see the monitor showing the osprey nest they had visited. One person asked why one chick gets the food first and he said the loudest and most aggressive gets fed first.I'm sure that applies to most birds.
I had been thinking since Bro hatched later, he still may need to do more catching up until he grows some more. Guess he did!!
News Flash~~~~Fubby saw Mom rabbit and one bunny this AM. Haven't seen them since we got latest pictures from Thursday that are on blog.
BBL~~back outside to play w/flowers ☺

Good afternoon,

I really slept in today. I woke up and it was twelve. Kathryn left long ago. Will seems to be here, but must be down in his room.

Missy just landed in the nest. So she fledged this morning?
