BTW, what is flugg? Newbie here. lol. We aren't getting out of the 30' btw today, be glad for your cold (*NOT) front .... but this is "normal" for here, 61 yesterday morning was nice, but sure not normal!
Flugg is a misspelled word fluff that is the soft stuff in the middle of the nest we have lots of misspelled words
we also misspell next as nest and there are others We have lots of teachers and x teachers here so watch the spelling LOL DANAMO is her first day back at school today I hope the kids get to see the eagles today can't wait to hear any good stories

Followed JudyE's tip and finally got video on YouTube. It is from our visit to the flowage the other day when we went to see the eagle nest.
The flowage surface was frozen right up to the edge of the dam and there were a few ice fisherman on it. But under the ice the water was still running over the dam and downstream. That is what the video is showing.

Yep, sometime today we will head home. Its about a 3 hr drive, but we'll be stopping to visit w/my Mom, so it will be a longer trip.
Roads appear to be good and most of it is State Highways, so they are usuall kept in good condition.

CarolAnne, Though I'm sure both dogs would eat the food cold, I put it in their bowls and then stick the bowls in the microwave for about 30 seconds. I give Bandit a Milkbone with each meal but Bella's days of eating hard treats are over - she just slobbers all over them! If I gave her enough time, I guess she could soften a biscuit up until she could gum it and swallow it, but I'd have a big mess to clean up!

SANDI - When Bubby & I were shopping I told him the list of ingredients I needed to pick up. When he found out it was to feed to the dogs, he wanted to know if he could eat with them. Thought it sounded rather tasty!! LOL I'll have to tell him I'll even heat his bowl for him too! :o)

CarolAnne, here's the guide that I use for how much to feed my dogs. It has kept them both at excellent weights:
Multiply your dog’s weight in pounds by 16 to get his weight in oz. Feed 2% - 3% of your dog’s weight in oz. per day.

CarolAnne, your dogs may not be happy if the math means that they get less food! For my dogs, they get the same amount as I was giving them in dry kibble, yet they both lost weight b/c this has no fillers. I'm sure your dogs will love the taste!
Lynn, so sorry to hear you had a bad night. Were/are you nauseous? Hope you're able to get some sleep on the sofa. Treatment isn't til this afternoon, right?
Oh LYNN, sure hope you can find a balance between doing what you like (in moderation) and getting the rest your body needs.

I have several things to do, but have the time. We have a wedding to go to this coming weekend. So I need to get out and buy a present. Also, I need to take down indoor decorations. I am going to have cataract surgery soon, but we are changing insurance, so waiting to get it settled. Going to Laurel's one day this week. Gave her new towel bars for Christmas and Jack is going to install them. Their old ones would just not stay in place.
Lolly, say more aboput your cataract surgery? Is it this month? Do you have a date set for it? Do you have it on both eyes?

I have already had one eye done a couple of years ago. Doctor has said the other eye is ready some time ago. I was just waiting for a time when we are not traveling or working much in the yard. It was a bad experience that is another reason why I put it off. I got an infection in the eye and it laid me low for a month! I have not contacted the doctor yet, wanted the insurance to be settled first.
I am anxious to get it done. I need new glasses badly! Find myself holding the glasses up a little higher. LOL

Had a grand day with Malcolm yesterday. We had a nice blend of walks, cuddling and playing. When Julie came to the door for him he grabbed his LORI pull and ran to her as if to say, "see what I've been playing with", then prancing around with it so proudly ! Too cute !

Ohhh, I do not like putting up decorations and you probably do not realize how much I have. Groan......... It is my own fault. I try to scale it down but so much of it I love and associate good memories. I have put 3 small items on the dryer. Will let Laurel look through them before giving them away. Jo, maybe your tummy is nerves??
I did take another short nap....and then I tackled the sewing machine. Got the shuttle assembly all back together!!! Still have trouble with the bobbin.....have backed off the tension and will go try to see if that might be the problem in a little while. Waiting for Carolyn to come....she forgot to bring me sticks of Charlie's deer bologna that I want to take to Frank tomorrow. Christie and I are going to visit them after my treatment. She brought up last week that in the 15 yrs. they've been in their new log home that she hasn't seen it. So we set it up!
I feel a little better this afternoon, thanks. Thinking I am going to make some stewed tomatoes for dinner.....that should give me some fiber.

The flat smells so good with the cooking lamb and vegetables...I will be ready to eat just about the time the eagles grace us with their presence...
