Thanks JO, I will go to google for the list that you started. I do not feel fatigued and I eat a lot of legumes mixed with tofu and rice and pasta...so I was surprised to hear her tell me I was in normal range but the lower part of normal...It concernes me that as I am aging I am dropping in iron...not good...I will work on it for the next six months...I always need a project and I am interested in my health...

Good Evening Eagle Buds!!! Hope I beat the Split!!!
Need to read more, but sounds like Wanda is raring to go!
Jim, GREAT news on your recovery!!
Lynn, you've eaten something! Good start!~ Feel better fast.
Gotta eat something myself and not so terribly late~~go to Park in AM.
BTW, wind was SO strong at Chelsea, we almost blew off the farm fields!
Sunday weather is not going to be very nice---good luck for Polar Bar Plunge!

Mema Jo said...

Hi Hoda - you brought us through the SPLIT! Thank You.

I am going in to TV with hubby to watch the movie Ides of March
Political of course......

Wonderful news about Wanda, but we knew she would do well. What with her attitude, her family support, and our prayers she was bound to be a success!!!

Love you, Wanda!!! Have a great evening with the family visit. Has Karla painted your tootsies yet? She better!!!☺

Margy, so neat that you went to see Wanda today! I know that was a thrill for her! She is always fixing her hair. LOL Why the first time I met her she had it wrapped up in a towel. LOL Gotcha, Wanda!

DanaMo...yes exercise raises the good cholesterol. Mine was up this last time and I have been walking. Carol said my walking showed!

hedgie said...

Hoda, be careful of the supplements...they can cauce the runs as badly as regular iron pills or Geritol!!! Don't blame you at all about the organ meats!!! Blah!

Margy, did the trashmen just drop the lids on the ground like man sometimes do?

magpie said...

I'm just a wee bit out of range on the "bad cholesterol" Hoda...
and close on a couple of other things

Hi Loretta...

hedgie said...

The plunge is tomorrow, so think the weather will be okay. It was a little hairy today for the teens portion!

Loretta, hope you weren't out in the fields for long!!

WhooHoo---Wanda going home tomorrow is terrific news!!!!!

I see we are still playing games with blogger and the 200 mark I am heading to the rocker for some DVR stuff Criminal Minds and then Fringe Jordyn has the starting of fluid in ear got her to the dr before it turned ugly Angie said she was so good got on the table all by herself and sat there like a trouper she is always playing dr on me and I told her when she gets bigger she can go to school and become a dr to help sick kids so maybe that has sunk in So glad she was feeling better by the time Angie got here I had a heating pad on her ear seemed to help the analgesic I had was expired so Angies brought new to keep here trouble is it will expires also probably

magpie said...

Lynn, it's a long story about those lids...
I think the trash collectors try to be careful, but the upstairs neighbors take bags and bags of trash out the night before, pile it on all of our trash cans....so the lids might have just gotten scooped up in that mess :(
can't say for sure, .....

JudyEddy said...

I still can't get the cam up someone said they had I have no luck and am giving up I hope it works in the am just may sleep in don't have to be to work till 10am

So, Lynn...how was YOUR Day?

Sorry about the burnt up garage door opener mechanism...
Big Woof !

Hi Red...

Lynne2 said...

oh, and now I'm not....hmmmm. Posted on the FRIDAY thing, and now I'm back on the regular thing with my new and newest and older and oldest things. The thing is, this thing is really becoming an annoying thing.

THING THING THING...OMG I'm punch drunk from lack of sleep!

Hoda said...

the funny thing MARGY is I am doing alright with my bad cholesterol. The numbers are low there and no cause for concern... I eat eggs and butter and thought this would probably have to be monitored and she said I was doing really well in this area...no problems with bad cholesterol...I need to build on the good though...more exercise LYNN says and so I have to find a way...I will also start back on Omega 3 tablets...

magpie said...

Well, sorry about that Lynne, but GOOD to See You !

did you get the New England Aster Seeds ...

Lynne2 said...

yes I did get them Margy...and I have a real thank you card to mail you!

Lynne2 said...

I have more crocus blooming, more coming up out back and today I discovered that the quince bush at work is starting to bloom!

Lynne2 said...

Hey, what's wrong with CarolAnne, and with DanaMo?

Lynne2 said...

BTW, I posted a bunch more pics on my blog

Hoda said...

Oh I forgot to tell JUDYE, I got my heating/electric bill today for two months period...the last time I paid them was in November and they bill me bi-monthly, so it is $104.28 due to be paid February 27th. Crazy I paid it already when I got it, this way I do not have to worry if I forgot or not...$52.14 a month for heating and lighting and heating water in my flat is not bad I would say.

Hoda said...

LYNNE 2 DANAMO came home from school today with ringing in her ears and she had complained of a headache earlier...it has been a tough week for her...CAROLANNE wrote this mornign that she was under the weather and it is like this flu is hanging around and she is not feeling her best.

Lynne2 said...

The stinkbugs are coming out again. I got up Wed. AM, went in the bathroom, looked in the mirror to see what amazing hair-do the night produced....there was a stinkbug in my hair. GROOOOOOOOSSSSSSS

Lynne2 said...

oh no! thanks for the info Hoda. Praying they feel better soon.

Hoda said...

Me too LYNN. DANAMO must have been feeling really awful because she did not finish her school day, she came home early and it would be a shame if she spent her weekend feeling sick...I wish CAROLLAANNE well also because she has so many creative projects on the go and feeling sick gets in the way.

magpie said...

Hey Lynne, it's okay, glad you got them....!
Sure hope they do some blooming for you, I sure enjoyed them

disappearing for a few, soup and sandwich is done...laundry is going on now

Neat! Paula's going to Rehoboth!

MY BFF Gail who is the Dr Mother of Dr Baker, got them and her other daughter tickets for the Miranda Lambert concert last night.

Well, I may have mentioned how the stomach flu has made it's rounds at work, and in their family.

Everyone but Jenny,Dr B's sis, had it. Her baby had it Tuesday. It lasts about 24 hours. Jenny was feeling just fine all day Thursday. They got to the concert, and before the first band was done, Jenny was being taken by ambulance to the hospital! She got so sick so fast with it that she passed out in the bathroom! She got meds and fluids and is feeling better today.

HOWEVER.....

Her hubby was carrying the new puppy out to the yard to potty this morning. She got so excited that she jumped right out of his arms. All FOUR toes on her front foot are broken. Poor thing...needs surgery to fix.

good evening folks. had dinner (logans...prime rib, tater, skewered and grilled veggies...waaaayyyy full) and now some computer and chill time.

WVGAL DANA; i am thrilled that my oldest (chelsea) and her family are staying close. they had planned (until 9 months or so ago) to move back to virginia beach...then one days she calls me and says they changed their minds, jobs are better here, etc and....they didn't want to take the grandkids away from me and me away from the grandkids. i did feel badly for the other grandma, who lives in va beach, it was a nasty/unpleasant surprise for her to hear this news, but selfishly, i was thrilled. i've been with those young ens (they are 4 and 5 now) pretty much since their births and the thought of them leaving was killing me. they will be about 20 min up the road...right now they are an hour, which, as compared to va beach is not far. :) my granddaughter amelia is so smart and so sweet...she and i have a mutual admiration society going, lol. and jack, my grandson is named after my dad, his great grandfather.... so yes, i am very excited. i can't wait til the summer, take them out on the boat....will be able to go to more of their sporting events, etc. :)

magpie: yes, the daffodils are sprouting up and i saw tulips sprouting up today. i also saw a maple tree thinking very hard about budding out! :( about a month or so early! my fig tree looks like it has some life in it.....and the wild onions are up already ... i'm wondering, are we just going to have a really mild winter????? feb can still bite us in the hiney if we aren't careful, though.

anyway, on to read the rest ...i got thru 200...

Hoda said...

LYNNE 2 why did you not have enough sleep? you said in one of your earlier posts that you were lacking sleep...I hope all is well.

magpie said...

Sounds like some nice family time in the near future for you Janet....
glad you will be near the daughter and grandkids....wish BOTH grandmothers could be near the grandchildren...

yay on the tulips too

Lynne2: GREAT Soper Stuff pictures, I left one comment on the last set, for all of them...

I'm headed to bed soon, one more work day coming up

Hey it is great to see Lynne on here!! Oh, so sorry for the puppy! How sad!

Lynn, you really did a turn around compared to yesterday. Good on you!☺

Guess, I will start on another tray of slides. Have just been sittin and enjoying the fire. Not really cold here, but we love the fire!

Lynne2 said...

Janet, that's GREAT!

Hoda, I posted....oh, days ago, at least I THINK I did...

Steve was able to work overtime this week. He had to be up at 3:30am every morning! I got up with him, and stayed up rather than go back to sleep. So I was VERY productive in the early mornings around here! But it was tough trying to get home, eat dinner, shower, etc. and be in bed by 8:30 so some nights it was closer to 9. Not used to getting that little sleep! But next week he doesn't get OT so it's back to the regular schedule.

hedgie said...

Janet, just post again and you should be good to go. We are all having the same problem! Your dinner sounds great!

Heading for the tub now. BBL and will look at Lynne's pics then.

Lynne2 said...

Puppy Daisy, a Boston Terrier, will go to the surgery specialist on Tuesday morning. Dr Baker took her home with her to keep her comfy over the weekend. She's in a splint, and pain meds on board. Her toes have to be pinned back together. But she is CRAZY hyper! Keeping her calm during recovery is going to be a challenge!

Hoda said...

Thank you LYNNE. I remember reading the post about STEVE getting over time and how early he had to get up. I however missed the part that you got up too. I am so happy for him that work is going well qand that there is overtime...GOD BLESS him and you.

Lynne2 said...

and yes GROOOOSSSSSSSS that I now go to bed each night thinking that STINKBUGS are using my wild and unmanageable and often frightening looking bed hair for a playground at night. EEEWWWWWWW!!!!!

Lynne2 said...

Thanks Hoda....it couldn't have come at a better time for us. We keep praying that the job will continue, and they are very busy!

Red said...

I'm hearing how cold Feb is going to be. Look out for those flowers getting ready to bloom. -50ºF in Alaska now and its headed our way.

Lolly said...

Oh, grossssssssssssssss! Can NOT imagine a stink bug crawling around in your hair at night. I would not be able to sleep. Or...I would be up all times of the night checking out the bed head for bugs!

Lolly said...

Well, we will just continue to pray for Steve, as well!

RED, wash your mouth out with soap! No, we do not need COLD weather, just need rain. Tonight on the news they were amazed how much the lakes are rising. This last rain has been a real blessing.

Lynne2 said...

oh Lolly, you have NO idea! I do a VERY detailed check of the room before I get in bed. But geez, you just never know where they will pop up!

magpie said...

Tony Bennett on Pubic TV Channel....nice....

Lynne2 said...

well, I'm taking my tired old sack of bones to bed now. Steve will be going fishing on Sunday and I may or may not go depending on where they decide to fish. If it's a not to tough terrain, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm out. So I may have time to chit chat here Sunday! Not sure what we will get in to tomorrow. House is clean thanks to early morning productivity!

Have a good night and prayers for all1

Well Mother was set up with the laptop when we left, but I do not see any posts from her. She most likely will be able to go home tomorrow since she is doing so well. They are arranging for PT to go to the house which is pretty awesome. Although, she will be homebound for 3 weeks.
Denise, Brandon, GG and myself went up to see her this evening. Daddy went for pizza. And Dustin stayed at GG's with Jayden since he was not allowed to go visit.
She looked beautiful and even got up and walked a bit for us. This all made GG very happy.
Thanks again to you all for being such great friends!! xoxo

Hello Friends.....

Thought I'd surface to let everyone know I'm still here and checking in when I can.

Ended up with a migraine earlier this week that caused me to lose a day and a half. The week has been busy.

Finally went out for my birthday dinner tonight and it was a disaster! I usually like my steak medium. It arrived rare, they took it back and later returned it charred and super well. They started all over again and it never came! Oh well.....it wasn't meant to be.

The manager felt really bad and gave us a gift certificate to come back for another dinner. Everyone has bad days, right??

Lynn - Happy to hear you're on the mend. Prayers continue for you, gal!

DanaMo - Good on You for your blood work results!! So sorry to hear you're still not feeling well.

Wanda - You go girl!! So proud and happy for you and your progress. I see you had lots of special visitors today. Will keep you in my prayers.

CarolAnne - Sorry you have had a bug this week, too. Hope you continue to feel better.

Paula - Enjoy the beach!

Missing my time here with you chatting and catching up.....

Margy, how can the sandperson be in street clothes and STINKING down the hallway? Maybe having to get some sleep is stinky? Do hope you had a good first day back to work and will get some serious rest tonight.

Thinking of Wanda and hoping she is resting comfortably tonight.

Prayers for Granny Riffe.

Well, pay no attention to the comments made by a blogger named Magpie. She is probably just a bit over tired from her first day back at work.

Too many posts to catch up. Am very tired tonight.

The sandperson has sprinkled sleepy dust in my eyes and is now making rounds to visit all the blog family.

The night light is on for any who may need to arise in the dark. Restful sleep for all.

Yippee----NEW Blue Bloods next week!

Goodnight my dear, sweet friends. Thanks for all love and support, care and concern. Hey, only 3 more treatments to go---will now finish on Feb. 1.
Peaceful sleep for all, and prayers for so many in need. Sure do wish that we would get some good news on the lung front! Hang in there, Tori!!! Thankful that Fred and Wanda are doing SO well. May Nila find peace as she travels her final road.

Good Morning ! I'm up way too early because I crashed early last night. Got home from PT at 6, exhausted, hungry and ready to watch my Friday night news, political pundits and Tony Bennett and his duets with some great singers. Then, zzzzzz. Will be heading back to bed, but 1st.....

LYNN, 3 treatments to go ! Yeah !!!

LINDA, what a bummer, hope you're next meal at that eatery is much, much better.

DANAMO, good girl ! Happy to hear about the sugar count. Hope the ringing ears are history and that your finger heals well.

LORI and DANAWV, the PT is taking it a little easier on me til' I see the doc again next Thurs. Says Bursitis will heal, but it isn't a quick process. Mon.& Fri. she massaged the leg/hip and that felt sooooo good ! Hopefully will get a more effective cortisone shot next time.

PAULA, hope a couple of days in Paradise takes away that doo-doo feeling and puts you in the pink !

KARLA, love all the good news about your mother and her visitors. Sure hope she gets to go home today. Hospitals are no place to get proper rest or food !!!

Hoping to hear HODA has found just what she needs to pump up that iron and that CAROLANNE is off the sick list when I return later today.

Here's hoping there are some good nestcapades today ! Time to get crackin' Belle n' Shep !!!!!

Karla, thanks for all the updates on your Mom! SOOOO glad she's doing so well! You go, Wanda! Keep up the good work! Praise God!

Very, very tired, so going to get some sleep. Have said prayers for everyone, and for every creature, especially the poor little Boston Terrier with the broken toes!

I'm a little better. The ringing seems to just be in my right ear now, and not as bad as yesterday. Last evening when I talked it was actually making a whistling sound. Weirdness...

Lori O. said...

No, DMo, I don't have the cam and it's not for lack of trying. Still down, I guess.

I keep trying too Lori, but I get nothing. The arrow is there for "play" but then I get the twirling arrow and no picture. Boo Hoo. Saturday is usually a good watching day. I hope she doesn't lay an egg while we are not watching!!

Sandi said...

Morning MARGY and CAROLANNE! C/A are you feeling better today? More snow in Wisconsin - what a shock!!

DanaMo said...

Good morning Margy, CarolAnne, and Sandi. Coffee is good this morning.
Breakfast will be at school to kick off Catholic Schools Week. After breakfast I have to hang out in my classroom and meet perspective families. I usually get a ton of traffic because it's kindergarten.

magpie said...

I had Live Feed cam at bedtime last night,
but not now :(

At least I am in Superb Company in that department

DanaMo said...

I'm trying to make a few more buttons before I go.

magpie said...

Well, Hellllooooo there Sandi !

EAGLE

magpie said...

NO feed
but EAGLE at Still ☺

Lori O. said...

LOOKS LIKE IT CAME IN FROM 3 BUT HAVEN'T SEEN HEAD YET AS IT'S DIGGING IN THE EGG CUP

magpie said...

remember, after about 5-10 seconds you can hit refresh on the still and usually get the Nest View....

CarolAnne said...

SANDI -was that sarcasm?? lol Of course more snow in WI - however we are almost 18" below average for this time of year. Its nice to have a clean inch or two every other day - but fear the lack of regular snow amts will cause problems come summer with underground water tables, etc.

Lori O. said...

IT'S SHEP ON THE STILL CAM NOW

Lori O. said...

I'm so thankful we have the still cam up - better than no cam. Would hate to think that Belle could be laying an egg and we would miss it all.

Sandi said...

MARGY, do you do the plunging or just sponsor a team? That would be pure torture for me!

Sandi said...

TWO

Lori O. said...

BELLE AND SHEP IN THE NEST NOW

Sandi said...

Manipulating 2 screens, posting and refreshing every 15 sec. is more than my brain can handle this early in the AM! I keep forgetting which page I'm currently on and end up refreshing the blog rather than the still cam!! Need caffeine!

Lori O. said...

THEY WERE IN PERFECT HP POSITION BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING.

Lori O. said...

POOF....WHICH ONE?

Sandi said...

Enough with the HP - that was so 2 weeks ago! It's January 28th, time's a tickin'!!

Sandi said...

SHEP STILL HERE?

Lori O. said...

Get up there and shake a finger at them, Sandi! lol. We need Red!

magpie said...

They H-P'ed...
remember, you do NOT have to wait 30 seconds....

wait at least five seconds...maye a few more hit REFRESH...
might work

We started out with STILL only in 2006...

Answer to the Plunge Question:
They sponsor and watch....not plunge, Maggie is Helen's granddaughter
more on that in a minute

Lori O. said...

BOTH EAGLES BACK IN THE NEST NOW.

Sandi said...

BACK TO 2

Lori O. said...

MARGY, you saw HP? YAY!

magpie said...

Maggie's Mounties...is the team that Plunges from Mounties...
of course everyone really plunges for all the Special Sponsorees....

Kevin, Helen's son, Maggie's Dad...is an alumnus of Mt. Saint Mary's in Emmitsburg....many alumni plunge for Maggie...so I think that helped with the name
Maggie's Mounties....
Others here can to a better job on this, but....I'm running out of time a little...

I can get you a link here in a minute
Kevin's fund-raising goal this year was $10,000...he came very close, not sure if they topped that or not

magpie said...

I'll post a pic on E-M in a minute or two

Lori O. said...

Thanks for getting the pic, Margy! Have a great day at work. ♥

DanaMo said...

I just thought of something. I could make us some eagle buttons for Open House. Hm....someone come up with a phrase or a name that I could put on them. Something catchy along with an eagle pic. Maybe a picture of our Royal Pair.

Lori O. said...

POOF, back to one eagle.

Lori O. said...

GREAT IDEA, DANAMO! You need some help with those?

Lori O. said...

Lori O. said...

I think the night light went off...the picture looks sharper. Now, maybe we can see which eagle is which.

magpie said...

GREAT IDEA DanaMo !!!

DanaMo said...

No I have an awesome button maker. I make 400 buttons for the school every year for the kids and parents to wear during Catholic Schools week. I also use them as name tags for kindergarten for the first two weeks of school.

I just need some creative juices on what to put on the buttons. I could do our names...or "Shepherdstown Eagle Daily" or whatever with a pic of these two. The buttons are 2 1/4 inc so they aren't huge but nice size. Average I think.

Lori O. said...

POOF & POOF.

MT NEST FOR THE MOMENT.

DanaMo - just a thought... Belle & Shep Fan Club

magpie said...

I put the pic in the E-M album and also

Looks like HP to me ☺

DanaMo said...

That's a cute idea...I like that.

Sandi said...

MARGY, one of the gals I regularly play tennis with is plunging today. She's very involved with Special Olympics. I'll be thinking of her while I'm on a warm tennis court this AM!

magpie said...

We used to have a button maker at our 9-1-1 Center, it was on loan from a school....
used to use it for our Open Houses, the kids would choose pictures,
It was WONDERFUL !

I must go

Best Wishes for a Good Day, EVERYONE

I'll "See You" from work

(( Hugs ♥ )) to all
xoxo ♥

magpie said...

Beautiful, joyful sunrise views hereabouts....

xoxo

Sandi said...

DMo, what a cute idea! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Lori O. said...

Better weather today:

PARTLY SUNNY with a light breeze and a high of 54.

Lori O. said...

That's at the nest today...light breeze and 54.

Sandi said...

Bet we'll be watching the still cam all weekend - I don't see any internet providers getting to NCTC to fix the problem til Monday. Hope I'm wrong but ...

Lori O. said...

Looks like that might be our visit for this morning.

Sandi, you're probably right unless we get a perfect gust of wind that magically fixes the feed!

Red said...

Oh there you are. Good morning. I see we are still having blog problems over 200. Guess they are not listening.
I'm going to cook my own sausage gravy and biscuits this morning. Mine are the best anyway.
Had a fair night. Was missing my wife though. She'll be home Sunday afternoon. Yeaaaaaaa!

Sandi said...

RED, do you even make your own biscuits? Wow, I'm impressed! TNow, that's a recipe I'd like to have!

magpie said...

eggs in view AGAIN at BWE

okay See a Red Face Here...
don't go making us hungry for a super breakfast...

xoxox
ttfn xo

Red said...

Sandi, I get a little help with the biscuits from the Pillsbury Dough Boy. lol Thats much easier than making them from scratch. However I can make them from scratch. I'm a fair cook. I cook our dinners during the week since Diane works and I'm retired. I try to do my share.

Red said...

Tomorrow I'm making the Turnip greens soup. Just need to run to the store for a few items. Diane will be surprised. Not sure she likes turnips but won't tell her whats in it till after she eats. lol

Lori O. said...

RED, can't wait to hear how your soup turns out! Be sure to let us know. I'm going to have to go back and copy 'n paste the recipe now.

Sandi said...

RED, that "don't tell her what's in it" strategy would only work with me for 1 bite! My mom used to try mixing potatoes and turnips and then mashing them together - it never fooled me! And, to this day, if I even smell liver and onions, another thing I was forced to eat even though I puked every time I ate it, I have to leave the room! But I'm so envious that you cook! I hate to cook but my husband can do pancakes, scrambled eggs, and grilled cheese sandwiches - that's about it. So for 36 years, I've cooked and he does the clean up afterward.

CarolAnne said...

YEA RED - a man that knows his way around a kitchen. My Dad (also known as Red) was a cook in the Army. He willing cooked for us, but unfortuantely he always made enough to feed an Army. So when he cooked we knew we'd be eating a lot of the same thing for the rest of the week. LOL

Sandi said...

OK, tennis at 9 for me so I'm off. Later eagle peeps!

hedgie said...

Good Sat. AM, Momsters and Dadsters.

hedgie said...

If this page thing is part of GOogle's privacy changes, it sure is a pain in the arse!

hedgie said...

Sandi, you have email!!! BTW---I'm with you on liver&onions, too!!

Red, you are a perfect hubby!

CarolAnne--are you feeling well enough to make the trip for the party? Happy b-day to your little one!! Be careful on those snowy roads!

hedgie said...

DanaMo--the buttons sound like a great idea, but I think Eaglet Momsters & Dadsters would be the best logo!!!

Gotta get crackin' here. If Bill comes to do the garage opener replacement, Frank will bring Irene and I need to do some spiffing up! Bill gives very little notice!!! Need to at least scrub bathroom and wipe down kitchen counters!

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Friend (:

CarolAnne said...

Lynn,
Yes, I'm up to the road trip. Have no energy & insides feel achy, but I just have to ride along, so it will be a 2 hour rest.

DANAMO's idea is so clever. I can just picture a button with a slogan around the edges like a smile and a big ol' eagle in the center.

CarolAnne said...

Well, Bubby is up, dog's are fed. Now to feed Bubby & get the doggies walked before they are locked up for the day.

Everyone have a great day.

Prayers for those in need, feel better wishes for those under the weather.
